Peter Tom Version Stop Bleeding! Youre Gonna Die!

Y/sh/n: your superhero name

🕸🕷❤️🕸🕷❤️🕸🕷❤️🕸🕷❤️🕸🕷❤️🕸🕷❤️

“You’re not getting to him” y/n states, getting into a better fighting stance.

“Y/sh/n, my fight is with Spider-Man, just get out of the way” Scorpion argues, raising his tail to strike.

“Any fight with Spider-Man is a fight with me” she argues, twisting her wrists to ignite the spark in her wrist bracelets.

“So be it” the villain yells, running towards y/n.

Y/n blocks scorpion’s back to back attacks, getting a few of her own in.

Just when she seems to have the upper hand in their battle, the ceiling collapses above them, trapping y/N’s leg.

Screaming in pain, she looks up and sees that Scorpion used his symbiotic superhuman strength tail to punch the ceiling down.

“Where is he?!” Scorpion yells, standing just out of her reach.

As she lays there pinned down, y/n flicks her wrists repetitively trying to spark the bracelets so she can use her fire to burn this ugly green pain in the-

Before she can finish her thought or come up with a plan, scorpion punches her face into the cracked cement flooring.

“Where’s Spider-Man?!” Scorpion asks again, but y/n only spits out the blood from her mouth.

“I’m right here” Peter yells, dropping into the scene before Scorpion can strike again.

Peter is fully in his Spider-Man suit so his face is concealed but y/n can tell from his body language how concerned he is.

She’d tried to attend this fight without him but he realized where she went off to when he went to visit her and saw she wasn’t home and her suit was gone.

As Peter fights with Scorpion, y/n begrudgingly uses what’s left of her super strength to push the rubble off her leg.

By the time she gets free, Peter and Scorpion have exchanged several blows back and forth, both of them covered in scrapes and blood.

Y/n limps as she climbs the stairs to get to the second floor, planning on sliding through the hole Scorpion made and sneaking up on him as Peter and he fight.

After only a handful of steps, she realizes her plan is futile as is, her leg not cooperating in the slightest.

Closing her eyes, y/n positions herself against the wall and presses against it until her leg is back where it should be.

The dislocation will return but for now she needs it to just last until she can get to the crushed section of the second floor.

Grumbling to herself as her pain radiates through her leg, she begins her trek back to the stairs.

“Running away now y/sh/n?” Scorpion calls out.

“Leave her out of this” Peter yells, slinging his web out and striking Scorpion’s left side before dragging him against the wall.

Peter looks back to y/n and nods slightly, signaling for her to keep going.

Nodding back, she speeds up her pace as she tries to sprint across the staircase.

“She wanted to get involved, she doesn’t get to back out now” scorpion argues, his tone and words causing fury to build in Peter.

“Your anger is with me, not her” Peter reminds him, blocking another blow.

“I have enough to go around kid” Scorpion laughs darkly, slamming his tail into the ground causing a minor indent near Peter.

As she runs to where she’s needing to be, y/n keeps a close eye on the battle, sending a few waves of fire out with caution so she doesn’t accidentally hit her boyfriend instead of the man they’re fighting.

However, it isn’t enough to stop him from being able to create a hole under Peter’s feet.

Y/n gasps as her heart drop when she watches Peter attempt to web himself to his crumbling surroundings.

Hoping to distract Scorpion enough for Peter to secure himself to something above the gaping hole leading to who knows where, y/n sends a wall of fire scaling out between the two of them.

It works, as Scorpion starts climbing the wall to reach her, Peter having the time and ability now to anchor himself to a random bar sticking out of the cracked ground.

Peter’s breath shakes as he keeps his gaze on y/n and Scorpion, regret tugging at his chest as he watches her fighting his battle for him.

Yes, he knows if the roles were reversed, he’d be doing the same thing. But that doesn’t stop him from wanting to drag her from the fight and lock her in her room until it is over.

Even from partially in the cracked flooring, he can see her leg is badly injured as she limps past strikes from Scorpion.

Using his fear as adrenaline, he pulls himself up until he’s close enough to web a structure so he can drag himself through the hole and into the room.

Just as Peter lands, he hears a loud echoing crash and his vision narrows in on Scorpion pinning y/n down as she attempts to burn his arms that are holding her.

Growling to himself, Peter starts slinging webs in every direction, giving himself options to chose from as he freely throws himself to the next best step towards her.

“Back away from her” Peter shouts, his voice deep and forceful.

Y/n flinches as Scorpion brings the sharp end of his tail mere inches from her face.

“NOW” Peter’s voice booms as he jumps and lands on Scorpion’s back, punching him over and over until Scorpion turns his focus back to Spider-Man.

Y/n ungracefully stands up, nearly toppling over as she feels the wind knocked out of her from what seems liked multiple broken ribs.

Peter and Scorpion are throwing strikes back and forth but y/n can see Peter is barely holding his ground.

“He had nothing to do with your daughter’s death” y/n says, her voice cracking as she desperately sucks in more air.

“She was only on that street when the accident happened because she was trying to meet the famous Spider-Man” he rebuts, his tail curling up as he and Peter continue fighting with their fists, Peter trying to web his arms here and there.

“That’s not true” Peter rasps, barely missing Scorpion’s fist.

Y/n remains silent as she sneaks behind Scorpion, flexing her wrists but not flicking them yet as she wants to preserve her power.

“Stop lying” he yells, hitting Peter back into the distant wall, the wall crumbling around the shape of Peter’s body.

Y/n forces herself not to scream at the villain as she sees Peter’s head moving in a way that suggests he has a bad concussion and his open scratches on his face having torn open more from the force with which he was thrown.

Not bearing to see more of this fight or Peter’s pain, y/n rushes in between them and throws her arms up, using all her strength and power to force a shield of fire around her and Peter.

Despite his head spinning and vision blurry, Peter drops to the floor and crawls closer to her, unsure how he can help but needing to do something.

Scorpion’s tail snakes around the side of her fire and the point strikes Peter’s lower leg causing him to collapse in a ball on the ground for a mere few seconds.

In response, y/n let’s out a pained scream as she forces her ability to it’s maximum, feeling her body crumble as she falls to her knees, her arms still up to maintain their defense.

“Stop” Peter pleads, trying to not disclose her name but needing her to listen to him.

Ignoring the fear in his voice, she maintains the shield as her butt hits her heels so she is resting on her shins and no longer her knees.

Peter’s blurry vision clears briefly as his anger rises and tries to focus more intentionally on his target.

Peter queues up the tazer web function, trying to steady his arm so he can ensure he’ll hit his mark.

“Your daughter was there to get groceries. She said she was told to get milk and eggs” y/n yells in a pained tone.

“Stop, he’s not going to listen” Peter begs, needing her to save her strength.

However, he also makes eye contact with her to signal her to let down her shield at the corner so Peter can get to Scorpion with his webs.

“No” the man argues, waving his tail around in anger as he searches for a gap in her impenetrable wall of raging fire.

“Yes, she said someone named Kami asked her to. She” y/n sucks in a breath as she recalls the emotional event where some mob boss blew up a city block when she and Peter were on patrol, a few blocks away.

“She told us as she died in my arms as P-” she stops herself, “Spider-Man tried to stop the bleeding with his webs but it was internal”.

“Where did you hear that name?!” Scorpion shouts, seemingly not hearing the last of her statement.

Before y/n can respond, Peter slings out his web and watches as it catches Scorpion in the chest, the shocking effect of the tazer webs beginning promptly.

Y/n sees and collapses as she lets the shield drop around them, seeing Peter keeping Scorpion incapacitated.

“She told us. I don’t know who Kami is, but your daughter was trying to help her” y/n explains breathlessly from the ground, hoping to get the villain to still come around.

“Kami is my other daughter. Her” the scorpion twitches, turning his whole body from the electricity following into his nerves.

“Her sister. I, I didn’t know. I’m sorry” scorpion cries, his mistake becoming clear to him.

Peter looks at y/n and begins to walk to her to help her up, not moving too fast to spook Scorpion into getting angry again.

“I-it’s okay. We will help find an antidote for whatever you did to yourself in your search for revenge, but you need to surrender” y/n pleads, standing up and grabbing for the front of her ribs.

Scorpion faces them and minimally nods, his muscles restricted from the webs’ electricity.

Y/n grins proudly at Peter but Peter watches in horror as he realizes Scorpion’s tail is now thrashing around without control.

Peter stops the shocking effect of the webs but it isn’t enough and he lets out a feral scream as he sees the bladed portion of Scorpion’s tail move straight towards y/n.

Peter rushes towards her, screaming for her to move but her reaction isn’t fast enough and his speed isn’t quick enough. The blade pierces into y/n’s abdomen, sticking out the back.

Peter sobs as he drops to his knees, holding her blood soaked body to him.

Scorpion closes his eyes and mumbles apologies in the background but Peter doesn’t notice.

“Y/n” he whispers, removing her face guard so he can look into her eyes.

Her eyes are nearly closed and Peter’s breath leaves his body as he takes in her appearance while his hands become more slippery from her blood.

“Stop bleeding! You’re going to die!” Peter yells, his eyes burning with tears as his vision clouds again and his head begins spinning once again.

“I’m so so sorry y/n stay with me please” Peter begs, his head against her’s as his chest caves.

“I..it’s not your fault Peter” y/n whispers, her frail hand shakingly reaching for his face.

Peter sobs, removing his mask so she can see his face, his other hand still trying to press on her wound pointlessly.

“P-promise me something p-p-Pete” she stutters, her lip trembling from the cold taking over her failing body.

“Anything babe, anything” he whimpers, watching her eyes closely.

“I-if I-… when I go Peter” she begins but Peter shakes his head aggressively.

“No. Don’t you dare. Don’t do this, you’re going to be fine”

“Peter you and I both know that’s not true” she sighs

“No, there has to be a way, but, what?! What am I supposed to do?! Please! Tell me, what the hell am I supposed to do?! I’ll do it, just please help me think!” Peter begs, holding her more tightly.

“Y-you’re it for me Petey. But it’s not fair for you to stay single. Just please try to-“ she whimpers.

“Fair?! What the hell about this is fair?!” Peter shouts, his emotions running wild.

“Fair would be not having to fight some crazy man for something out of our control! Fair would be us wining without any injuries. Fair would be you making it out of this or is going down together. This isn’t fair! I know I said I’d do anything for you, but that wasn’t true because I won’t, I can’t do that!” Peter rambles, trying to put more pressure on her wounds as it keeps pouring.

“I’m okay going Peter . We won okay? That’s what matters “ y/n says, her voice nearly as fragile as her body.

“No. Because now's not the time to play the martyr, got it? You’ve got a good long life ahead of you, and I intend to keep it that way. I have to keep it that way, we.. we aren’t done” Peter says, kissing her forehead flinching at its warmth.

Peter racks his brain to find a way to keep her alert, if she stays awake long enough, maybe the paramedics can save her. They have to.

Y/N’s eyes inch closer and closer together as Peter repetitively whispers comforting words and pleas to her.

As her eyes close, Peter feels his heart dry out and crack into millions of pieces and fall to his stomach.

As his body begins to shake with his cries, an idea hits him.

Flinching as he knows it won’t feel good, he turns his arm and webs her chest with the tazer web setting still on.

“I’m so sorry for this baby, so so sorry. But I can’t let you go without trying. Maybe that’s selfish, but I can’t do this without you” He whimpers weakly, turning on the shock.

Her body seizes in his arms but the electricity stays in her body instead of passing into him.

It wasn’t something he even considered let alone cared about, but he’s appreciative as it allows him to hold his fingers to her throat checking for a pulse.

When he feels a weak heartbeat, he shuts off the webs and lets out a broken cry.

Y/n gasps and tries to sit up, her arms in front of her as if trying to fight still.

“It's alright, he’s gone now... are you alright? Hey, look at me; you’re going to be okay” Peter mumbles, moving her hair off her sticky forehead.

“I’m bleeding on your suit” y/n says, her eyes lazily looking at Peter.

Peter chokes on a weak laugh, tears flowing freely from his eyes “I don’t care. I’m just glad you’re alive”.

Peter can faintly hear sirens in the distance and he sobs, “you’re doing great sweetheart, just keep breathing for me”.

Recognizing her own demise, y/n places a cold weak hand against Peter’s cheek, “I’m gonna miss you, you know.”

“No because you’re not going anywhere” he argues stubbornly despite noticing her breathing getting weak again.

He sighs as he squeezes her hand, knowing the tazer web was a one time trick and that it won’t work again.

The pain in his chest amplifies as he realizes he doesn’t know how to keep her conscious until the ambulance nears.

He wants to yell and fight her to stay awake but he knows if he doesn’t say how he’s feeling he’ll regret it, especially given where things are headed.

“" Y/n, if... if this is the last time I’ll ever see you, I need you to know.. I have loved, and will never stop loving, you. Y/n, do you hear me? I love you. Beyond whatever happens next. Past what anyone can do to us. I love you y/n, I love you” Peter says, cradling her head in his lap.

Y/n turns the very edges of her lips up in an attempt to grant him a smile.

Peter has had a million concussions but he hates this one more than any of them as he struggles to get a clear vision of the love of his life.

While the sirens are closer, he knows deep down it’s not going to end how he wants tonight.

The one person he was terrified of losing is gasping for air in his arms and he can’t even see clearly though his vertigo and tears to get one last clear look at her.

“Lo-“ y/n choles “love”.

Peter weeps, “I know baby”.

“I know- you love me too. I know. It’s okay, I know “ he assures her, hoping to calm down her desperate breathing caused by an attempt to speak.

Despite the tears and vertigo, he keeps trying to see her clearly.

Peter is unwilling to look away from her as he clings on to whatever few seconds he has left with her.

Even if he had decades left with her, it wouldn’t be enough.

As her eyes lock on a space somewhere in the distance and her breathing stops, Peter crumbles over her body.

He stays that way, an indescribable amount of pain tearing its way through his body as he bawls over the form of the person he loved most in this world.

“Sir” he heard someone call out.

Looking down at her beautiful face, Peter allowed himself to weep once more at that moment.

He kisses her forehead, hand dragging shakingly across her eyes to close them.

He resentfully forces on his mask before the authorities reach him.

“You need to leave, we’ve got it from here by Spider-Man” the officer says, placing a hand on his shoulder.

Peter shakes his head, not ready to leave her.

He still refuses to believe she’s gone.

Peter curses his horrible luck. It was a matter of seconds between her last breath and them arriving.

“You have to save her” Peter whimpers, knowing in his heart she’s already gone.

“Spider-Man sir, she’s not breathing” the paramedic sighs as he’s knelt next to her frozen frame.

While he witnessed it himself, hearing someone else confirm to him that the love of his life is dead sends him to his knees as he lets his body break into breathless sobs again.

“I… I don’t know how this works. But if you can hear me, I’ll never forget you y/n. I will never get over you. Our relationship was the best thing I’ve ever experienced. Only true love can hurt like this” Peter says weakly, his hands in his lap.

Peter lets his eyes close, as he feels himself falling asleep from sheer exhaustion despite still being on the floor of the abandoned building.

Reaching up to touch the empty chamber that used to hold his once beating heart, he forces a sad smile, “I’ll see you again, one day, my girl”.

You didn’t understand.

You definitely weren’t the ‘go-getter’ type, nor were you the kind of girl who just says what’s on their mind or heart. When the cook at a restaurant got your order wrong, you would smile and say ‘thank you’ instead of letting them know. You’re the kind of person that would stick around with whoever you were with until they were ready to go instead of finding a comfortable place to be by yourself. So when you had feelings for a boy, a boy like Peter Parker, it would be almost instinctive to either deny or hide those feelings as best as you could.

But you didn’t do either.

Instead, when the class got back to the hotel in Prague, you marched up to his hotel room with your hand curled into a fist, ready to confess your feelings for him when his door was yanked open. He was staring at you in shock while you gaped at him before nervously smiling and asking to talk. When his eyes moved away from yours and onto something ahead, you didn’t think much of it — but god, you wished you did.

You managed to do the hard part, and confessed how you felt to Peter. Granted, the message was relayed in a mixture of needless, nervous rambles. Your cheeks were red and you felt like your body was lit on fire under his eyes. Your heart was racing, but it practically stopped when he stepped forward, face inching towards yours and eyes closing shut. You stood frozen in place, letting his lips close to space between yours.

You let him kiss you.

But what you didn’t understand was how Peter could do something like that after what you had confessed to him, yet have his arms wrapped around another girl while their lips molded together. His eyes were shut and his pleasure filled face held a red tint. However, you knew Peter, and you knew he had a sixth sense, so you watched as his eyes sprung open during the kiss and began to swell with fear.

That was when your vision was blurred with tears.

He didn’t pull away from the girl, rather letting the kiss carry on with his eyes trained on you until she decided to pull away. She did eventually, and you could faintly hear the shy laughs they shared from where you were. You watched a few words be exhchanged and you wanted the floor to swallow you whole every time his eyes flickered to yours. Then, like anybody would, she turned around.

And when MJ sent you a tight lipped smile, it made sense. As much as it pained your heart to admit, you finally understood. The night before, you were looking for Peter, and he was looking for her.

Tears rolled down your cheeks as you scoffed, your arms wrapping around your body to act as a shield when MJ walked towards the entrance doors of the hotel, and Peter approached you hesitantly. The lights from inside the hotel was enough to see his tear-pricked eyes and guilty face when he was close enough in front of you. There was an aching silence between the two of you, but you didn’t dare to break it. You couldn’t bring yourself too.

“I’m sorry.” Peter whispered, his voice cracking as he tried to swallow down the rising bile in his throat. You brought your arms closer to your chest, chewing on the inside of your cheeks to try and prevent the new wave of tears threatening to spill. You didn’t meet his burning gaze, strictly staring past him. You couldn’t meet his eyes, hearing his voice told you enough. He was guilty, but wasn’t apologizing for what he did — he was apologizing for being caught.

It was silent again, and just as painful as the last time. You were racking your brain for something to say, questions popping up one after the other and it made your head throb, so you settled on the simplest one yet, asking, “Why?”

If it were any louder, you were certain Peter wouldn’t have been able to hear you. There was about six feet of space between the two of you, a brutal opposite to the night before — the memory made your stomach churn. With furrowed brows, Peter’s lips parted to speak, but after a few split moments, his mouth shut.

“I don’t know.”

Hearing his words made your head snap in his direction, a bewildered yet angry look in your eyes as you gaped at him. “You don’t know?” You repeated, taking a bold step forward with a clenched jaw. “You let me fall for a lie, Peter. Had I not been outside of this damn hotel, you wouldn’t have stop kissing MJ.” You spat through gritted teeth, feeling yourself grow hot at the fact that he was acting this way. Acting so remorseful for something he wanted to do.

You watched as Peter’s hand repeatedly clenched at his side, and he looked away from you. From this angle you could see a single tear fall from the corner of his glazed eyes. He was holding back, but you didn’t want him to. You wanted to truth.

“Y/N, you know I’ve liked MJ for a while now.” He muttered, actively avoiding your pained expression and flinching at the sound of your dry laugh. You knew this, you knew that Peter has had this crush on MJ since your sophomore year — so about a little over a year. Knowing this made telling Peter how you felt all the more nerve-racking, but it didn’t matter, he made the confusing choice of kissing you, and in turn complicated everything.

“Then why did you kiss me?!” You shouted, the sound of your voice echoing into the dark night. It was poetic, really. Getting your heart broken by the boy you love on a beautiful bridge at midnight in Europe. “It doesn’t matter!” Peter was now facing you, his heaving chest pairing with his bloodshot eyes that locks with your own. “This isn’t a game of bachelor, Peter.” You sniffled, casting your gaze away from him to get a chance to breathe because every time you looked at him, your throat closed up.

“So,” Peter cleared his throat, but the lump remained, making his voice strain. “So what are you saying?”

What were you saying? You didn’t exactly know. What you did know, however, was that as strong as you felt for Peter, you were not going to let yourself be treated second. Your bottom lip trembled as you released a shaking breath, locking with his.

“I’m saying you have to choose.”

As his eyes bored into yours, as the tension grew painfully thick in the silence, you knew. Just by the look in his eyes. The look in his brown orbs wasn’t one of someone who didn’t want to choose, it was the look of someone who didn’t want to tell you they weren’t choosing you.

And you knew.

⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀ ⠀⠀ ⠀ ⠀ ⠀ ⠀ ⠀* * *

“I’m just saying!” Your friend, Lina, held her hands up in defense while you looked at her incredously. “He was too much of a nice guy! Guys like him always have something wrong with them.”

It’s been a few weeks since the incident with Peter that went down during your class trip to Europe, and by now, you have told your two closest friends, Lina and Meredith, who were absolutely livid upon hearing the news when you came back to the states in shambles. Meredith stared at the blue haired girl with a slacked jaw, her hand reaching over to flick her in the forehead. “God, Lina, you can’t just say shit like that! Y/N has been in love with him for like, ever.”

“You guys!” You sighed, crossing your arms over the cafeteria table and shaking your head at the both of them. “I’m right here, you know. You guys have been talking about what happened for the past fifteen minutes.”

The girls stared at you solemnly, casting their gazes down when the guilt began to eat at them. “We’re sorry, Y/N, it’s just- I can’t believe he would do that to you, his best friend of all people, and not have a care in the world flaunting his relationship with MJ like he didn’t hurt you to get it.” Lina said gently, placing her hand on top of yours and squeezing it.

She was right, both of them were. However, as hurtful as it was, you didn’t want to dwell on it forever. Sure, he made you believe in something false, but you’d rather say it could’ve been worse.

“Listen, I’m fine!” You laughed lightly, sending both girls a tight lipped smile which they weakly returned. “What’s done is done, and if he’s happy with MJ and how things turned out then.. then so be it.” You finally said, brushing off the fact that your words were beginning to sound like they were moreso said for you then for them. As you waited for a response from one of the two, your brows scrunched together when watching Meredith’s gaze drift and her elbow jutting into Lina’s side to bring it to her attention. “Mer, what’re you looking a..” Your voice trailed off as you turned around in your seat, eyes widening at the sight before you.

Peter.

“Can- Can I talk to you?” His voice stuttered with hesitance, averting his eyes away from the two girls behind you that were staring at him with vicious glares and kept them on you. “Please?”

A small huff came from your nose, and you turned around to send a simple nod to Lina and Meredith before getting up to follow behind Peter.

He ended up leading you into an empty science room, deserted lab tables with the lights turned off to leave the skylight from the windows to do it’s job. With crossed arms, you watched as Peter grew anxious. Even with his back to you, you knew that he was most likely fidgeting with his fingers while he was bouncing on his foot.

“I lied.” said Peter suddenly.

He turned around to face you, and you could now see his hands quickly wringing together. You stared at him blankly, cocking your eyebrow up at him to silently tell him to carry on.

“I do know why I kissed you that night in Prague.” He admitted, watching carefully as your eyes slightly widened at the confession. Too many questions whizzed around in your head in that moment, it was beginning to overwhelm you. “It wasn’t because I was trying to spare your feelings, or to make you feel good. It was because I like you- no, no, I love you.” Peter’s eyes never strayed from yours as he spoke clearly, and for the first time talking to him since that night, he didn’t stutter. He meant it.

The thought alone made tears prick your eyes.

“Why are you telling me this, Peter?” You croaked, your tearful eyes searching his wide ones frantically. He was with MJ, you thought. He chose her, he’s happy with her — so why was he telling you all of this now?

Peter pursed his lips, letting his gaze fall to the floor as if there was something of interest there. “Because I-” He sighed, his shoulders tense with nerves before he boldly caught your stare, saying, “I made a mistake.”

A mistake. The words nearly made you laugh.

“A mistake?” You repeated, lips parted to just let it all out before you stopped. Instead, a scoff emitted from your throat, pairing with your shaking head. “There was no mistake in what you did, Peter. You chose her and-”

“And it should’ve been you.” He interrupted, daringly taking a small step forward that you allowed, only because you were too in shock at what he said. You stood there, frozen with a slacked jaw and bulging eyes. His words should’ve have, but they managed to pull at numerous heart strings and make your stomach churn. “It should’ve been you because it’s always been you, Y/N. I made a mistake because, I-I don’t know maybe I didn’t want to accept the truth, or maybe I didn’t want it to ruin anything. But I’m here now because I love you.”

Hearing his words should’ve made your heart flutter. You should’ve let a smile so wide it made you squint, take over your face. You should’ve jumped into his arms and kissed him ‘til the end of time because he does feel the same way.

But you didn’t.

Instead, you let the tears roll down your face. You looked away from him, and let your arms fall at your sides. “No.” You shook your head, looking up to see confusion swirl about it Peter’s brown eyes. “If you loved me, you wouldn’t have to be with another girl to realize it. If you loved me, you wouldn’t have told me, to my face, that you’re reasoning for kissing MJ was because you’ve liked her for a long time.”

You shook your head at him in disbelief, slowly backing up towards the door of the science room and placing a steady hand on the handle. Your fingers brushed at your cheeks to rid them of the tears that fell, and you sniffled, straightening out your composure.

“You may have made a mistake, Peter, but I will not let you hurt two girls in the process of making yourself happy.”

With that, you turned away from him, walking through the door and back to your friends who stared at you expectantly.

Peter stayed there. He stood in the front of the science lab with a dazed look in his glazed eyes, jaw clenched shut. Then, he let the tears fall. The tears he held in until you left, he let them glide down the sides of his face while putting his head in his hands.

He made a mistake, and he was going to have to live with that forever.
