I've been thinking about this for a while but you know how European people (or I guess I've never seen this reaction in anyone other than people from Great Britain specifically, but I'm no expert) try American chocolate and are like DEAR GOODNESS HOW CAN ANYONE EAT THIS IT'S HARDLY CHOCOLATE yeah well I wonder how they would react to a tootsie roll

my reaction to learning that tootsie rolls are supposed to taste like chocolate is the exact same as most people's reaction to learning that candy corn is honey-flavored

“but it doesn't taste anything like that” YOU'RE RIGHT IT DOESN'T took me literally only months short of 18 years to figure out that tootsie rolls are supposed to be chocolate flavored and that was only bc I read something by chance i knew candy corn was honey-flavored long long before i knew the truth about tootsie rolls also by chance i was reading all the words on a bag of it but somehow i accepted that way more easily probably bc i don't like honey very much and i don't like candy corn much either but i do like chocolate and don't like tootsie rolls candy flavor sweets honey candy corn chocolate tootsie rolls food cw food food cw

Here, on Tumblr, I make my stand.

Tootsie Rolls are good! I don't care that I've never met another person who likes them! They may not be chocolate(I mean I don't know what these things are made of), they taste like it, and they're like toffee, which I'm pretty sure isn't something you find everywhere, as far as I know. This may be my final stand, as y'allscare me a little, but I have no regrets!
