14th February, the day when lovers go all lovey-dovey when they all do that anyway on any other day. At least that’s what Vere thinks, however, he is not against receiving chocolates and flirting with other customers at the Wet Wick. On the other hand, Lyssa enjoys reading romance novels and loves how everyone, not just lovers, celebrates this love-filled day. She loves seeing couples spending time together, exchanging gifts, and making romantic gestures. But alas, Lyssa is spending this day alone with a box of chocolates that Kuras gave her as a consolation gift for those who are spending the day alone. Ouch.
As Lyssa was getting ready to go to her room at the Wet Wick and spend the day alone, she noticed that Vere was flirting with other patrons of the bar. No chocolate box in sight and not even Ais next to him on this love-filled day.
'That’s weird, I would've thought he'd be somewhere with Ais,' Lyssa thought.
It seemed that the patron Vere was flirting with was waiting for someone, as he seemed hesitant to engage with Vere until that person walked into the bar. He then promptly excused himself to go meet them. Vere looked frustrated after that failed attempt. For whatever reason unknown, Lyssa walked in Vere's direction. She figured maybe because it looked weird that Vere was alone on this particular day.
"I didn't expect you to be alone on this day," Lyssa mused, startling Vere.
"Were you watching me or something?" Vere asked. 'Technically I did, but you don't need to know that,' Lyssa thought, "Don't flatter yourself, I just noticed a guy leaving from your direction going to his date."
"Yeah, well that seems to be almost everyone in this room," Vere pointed out as the bar was filled with couples.
"Well it looks like you don't have a date, I was going to go to my room and stuff my face with this box of chocolate Kuras gave me, but seeing as you're single right now, wanna join me?" Lyssa offered.
"You're offering to share that pity box Kuras gave you because I'm single?" Vere asked, seemingly offended.
"Well if you don't want it-" Vere interrupted her, "No I want to, come on."
Vere then walked with Lyssa in front of him, waiting for her to lead him to her room in the Wet Wick. As soon as they were inside, Vere plopped himself on her bed.
"What are you doing?" Lyssa asked with her eyebrow raised.
"Well, you don't expect me to eat this with you while sitting on a chair do you?" Vere raised his own eyebrow questioning her, "Come on, get on the bed just treat this like one of our spa days."
The redhead relented and joined him, plopping herself on the bed and opening the box of chocolates. It looked to have a variety of them with three different types, milk chocolate, white chocolate and dark chocolate.
"Which one do you want to try first?" Vere asked.
"Let's go with the dark chocolate," Lyssa suggested, taking one of the delicious chocolates out of the box and putting one in her mouth immediately. Vere then followed suit and immediately munched on the bittersweet treat.
"You know I expected you to be with Ais today," Lyssa
commented.
Vere raised his eyebrow at that, "Why? Cause we occasionally fucked sometimes?"
Lyssa blushed at his teasing tone, "Well, no I just assumed-"
"You assumed he would wine and dine me with a romantic dinner, then take me somewhere private where he can ravish me?" Vere teased, smirking at her blushing face.
"I-"
"Where he can put his hands all over my body, pulling my hair, grabbing parts of my body till it bruised, fucking me to ecstasy?" Vere's smirks widen as she hides her face as she's blushing too much.
"Please stop, I get it. You don't need to get into any more details," Lyssa said while munching on her chocolate.
"You know I was actually expecting you to be with Leander today though," Vere said while getting another chocolate.
Lyssa's blush disappeared at that, "Have you been watching me or something?"
"No darling, I just have eyes," Vere surmised, "I would've thought that mage would've taken you on some lovey-dovey dinner and do some grand gestures."
"Well you're not wrong but he was interrupted right as he was asking me," Lyssa then said, "Though you're forgetting the night activity that would have occured."
"Oh do tell, what would've happened? Him taking you to your room and tieing you up while he has his way with you?" Vere asked intrigued.
"That is none of your business," Lyssa said defensively while blushing, then noticed that the dark chocolate ran out, "Looks like we're left with white chocolate and milk chocolate. Which one do you want next?"
"Let's go with white," Vere said while grabbing the chocolate.
Lyssa followed suit, "You know so far this one's my favorite."
"Well that's not a surprise, you like sweet stuff," Vere said.
"Ha ha, well I like it when usual things are different," Lyssa said.
"Like how that mage is different to you somehow?" Vere questioned.
The whole conversation then turned to talk about how Leander is different, and then it turned into them talking about having a partner who's different and how seeing other couples suck. This whole conversation went long until they were down to only milk chocolates.
Vere noticed first and took the first bite of the milky delicacy, "Tell me why did you actually invite me to eat chocolate with you?"
The question took Lyssa off guard, it seemed he saw right through her. Since the cat's out of the bag she might as well just tell the truth.
"I didn't want to be alone today and you looked like you wanted company today," Lyssa said while munching on the sweet treat.
Vere didn't seem to like the first bit of her answer but he seemed satisfied with it, "Well at least you're honest and sincere about your invitation."
They both went quiet and just continued to eat the rest of the chocolate until Vere broke the silence, "Thank you, I guess. Being single today would've sucked for me anyway."
Lyssa seemed shocked at that answer, he's an asshole all the time but he was an honest asshole. They then spend the rest of the day together, as a way of comforting each other as a single person.

i fw with a touchstarved mc that went through so much, held it together and got to their breaking point where they basically just lost their mind to the torment and burden they have to carry with all the different backstories and having to deal with the curse everyday desperate to find a cure 😜😜😜
bonus points if any (or all) lls are genuinely worried about mc because of how they basically lost it ❤️❤️❤️
EVEN MORE bonus points if the mc cant even process sadness or any negative emotions anymore and just feels numb staring down at their hands with tears running down their face—finally letting out years worth of the pain of the curse
like dude mcs a trooper for withstanding that burden of not even knowing if their human because of their curse dude imagine the bullying and harassment they were subjected to because of the curse and not even knowing if there is a cure
i am so sane about touchstarved mc angst with the lls worried about them (bonus if theyre all worried together and have to witness mc breakdown at some point preferably the end of the story 😘😘)

i fw with a touchstarved mc the alchemist addition!!! that brought a couple beakers, chemicals, magical books and other sciency magic stuff with them on their travel to eridia and plays around with it (totally not trying to conjure up their own cure with what they know and with the books nooooo…)
i fw with a touchstarved mc the hound (i think??) addition!!! thats used to having fast movements to get around and have a really good budgeting system for pretty much anything + amazing at negotiating!!
i fw with a touch starved mc the unnamed addition!! sometimes getting noticed by previous followers of the temple when they were an oracle in eridia and either brushes it off or tries to avoid talking bout the hands entirely 😓😓

- speaking of potions, he carries around potions and chemicals when she needs them!!
- has the deepest eyes known to man (and they say the eyes are windows to the soul.)

- experimented her curse on non-human beings before, therefore having some sort of combat and defense system established
- a good people reader and observer! takes mental notes of what people like to see so she can reflect it on his being so she could gain their trust.

i headcanon that the mc’s yellow glowy stuff on their arms is a part of their bloodflow and replacing tears with the yellow stuff
AND the yellow stuff burns slightly when in contact with the uninfected skin SOOO!!
when the mc cries out of frustration because they still havent found a cure? immediately recoiling from the burning sensation of the tears

id actually start sobbing if there was a significant person in each of the origins that couldve been a love interest if the mc didnt run away and shit didnt go down other than the already mentioned people
i wonder if any of the mcs daily activities are in some way with its own pros and cons
like for the alchemist some of the mcs spells are kind of jagged and sometimes messed up because of how the spells are meant to be casted by regular humans
on the other hand, the alchemist mc will be immune or unaffected by most chemicals but when a human comes in contact with it, their skin will burn
(this is mainly for the alchemist mc i love that nerd)

People seem to like the sketch, so I drew them again. Hope you'll like the desings :з
Some headcanons are under the cut
Kuras: doctor, sometimes gives lectures in medical university, in his 30s. Calm and mysterious.
Ais: student at that university (has good marks, but often truants), part-time worker in animal shelter, gamer and streams sometimes, age around 24-25. Seems menacing, but actually quite approachable.
Vere: (I don't know, why i designed him like this but now i cant think of him being anything else except) some kind of fitness trainer (works little, earns a lot) with many hobbies, like painting, cooking, tarot reading etc. In his late 20s. Foxy party-goer.
Leander: I heard a lot of ideas about his possible job, but I'm not sure of anything anymore. I don't know fr, like what normal job can you have with look like this 😔. Me and my friend decided, that he's pathologist in Kuras' clinic 🤧 (and a part-time cult member :D). In his late 20s. Seems friendly, but suspicious.
Mhin: also a student, but hardworking one. Around 23-24 years old. Bad handwriting 😔. Unsociable, but smart and diligent.
Lovelyn: laboratory assistant in some facility, part-time teacher at university, late 20s. No idea of teaching ethics, but his classes are fun. Treats students as friends, talks a lot.
To clear up some things, here I ship Lovelyn and Kuras, the rest are on their own (well, Ais and Vere are probably dating).
