whoooo wee, this chapter was a wild one to write let me tell you. My head still isn't on quite straight after that mind fuck.

Okay so on the one hand yes you are observing correctly i have published an insane amount of writing today and yesterday and should probably slow down

On the other hand I'm basically stuck in immobile limbo and moving hurts (TL;DR: chronic health stuff + batshit crazy start to my week), so escape the fuck into story i do once mandatory life chores and needs are tended, so enjoy the flood while it lasts 🤣 story updates will not always be this rapid. Y'all being spoiled this week.

This one originally started just as fucking around to try and figure out settings for setting up some custom voice presets, then I decided to work some narration in to test that out for the audio splicing practice, and then I realized I had cut some of the narration out to shorten my script up for reading said voice acting and forgot to put it back in. lmaaaao. oops. (which I only just realized while posting this, actually, now I know why it felt weird dangit XD oooooops. Missing all the scenery descriptions)

Good thing this one is just a practice not one I meant for the actual recording XD

I don't quite have his voice right, but it's so fragging close to where I want it.

SCRIPT PRACTICE: “Clarification: yes, as in proceed.” When you don’t immediately speak, he adds, “Re-clarification: deliver queries.” • “Ah, r-right. Um… So-- Sometimes, his, uh… his engine makes these funny noises, and I swear they mean something but he’s dodgy about… Explaining,” you start, the words beginning to come easier the longer you speak. “Is he… Is he okay?” you add, anxious. • “Query: what noises?” • “Sometimes it’s like… mechanical parts are moving in a way they shouldn’t, and jam up. His cooling fans kick on I feel like, a lot? Even when he’s just been parked in place for a while. Other times or at the same time, there’s strange harmonic sounds? Buzzes or tones, or like… Some of them are almost like a-- A soundless sound?” you try helplessly to explain. “I couldn’t possibly describe it to you but I can still hear it, sorta. You make them too, but not nearly so often, and they sound a little different,” you add, almost as an afterthought. • “Request: further describe observed tonal frequencies?” • “I don’t know how better to explain them, sorry. It’s like… Hearing something that’s almost there, but if someone else was talking, I probably wouldn’t hear it? It’s right on the edge of my ability to--” • A soft, tonal harmonic hum suddenly vibrates in the air around and through you, just the softest, faintest pulse. It sounds… nice. It even kind of, weirdly, feels nice, sort of soothing. It’s also fairly familiar. • “Yeah! Like that, except-- different pitches and patterns, but basically that,” you nod. • “...Statement: Anomaly discovered. Detection of Cybertronian bio-frequency signals; not typically displayed by human species.”

As Ratchet twisted the bolt into the small machine, he couldn't help but feel irritated. Not only did he have to redo all his work on this, but thanks to Bulkhead, he had four other things to repair. He needed them

Because of this, Ratchet has been more snappy than usual, and some pots are even ignoring him at this point, all but one. "Sup' doc, watcha working on?" Wheeljack asked leaning against the control panel.

"Nothing of your concern, Wheeljack, now if you don't mind, can you please frag off so I can do my work?" Ratchet scowled, glaring at Wheeljack before returning his focus to his machine. "Lighten up, doc!" Ratchet grumbled as Wheeljack continued to talk. "I don't care." Ratched said. Wheeljack sighed, and then a sudden smirk came.

"Oh? You don't care, you say? What if I make you care?" Wheeljack said in a teasing tone the way he kept behind Ratchet made him worry. What was Wheeljack doing? Was he gonna try and wrestle me? Or was he just being stupid?

"What are you talking about--" Before Ratchet could finish his words, he felt a jab at his hip, causing him to flinch. He caught on what Wheeljack was doing, but before he could react, Wheeljack twisted him around and grabbed his wrist, forcing his arms up and pushing his back against the control panel.

"What the-? Let me go!" Ratchet glared, Wheeljack just smirked and, without warning, scribbled his fingers across Ratchets torso, first at his hip, then moving up to Ratchet's under armor just were his ribs were.

Ratchet struggled, and a few giggles got away from him. "Wh- Wheheheheeljack stohohop it nohohow!" Ratchet giggled a few laughs, breaking out. "Aww, cmon doc! You look so cute giggling like that.~" Wheeljack teased, only making the tickling worse for Ratchet.

Ratchet hardly remembers what it's like to be tickled. Ever since the war, he hadn't had fun like this in a while, not that he'll ever say it's fun. "Shuhut uhuhup! Stahhaahp!" Ratchet twisted his hips and kicked his legs.

Wheeljack smiled and stopped, moving his fingers away from Ratchets body but keeping him against the control panel. "You alright, doc?" Wheeljack asked only to get a simple nod from the, still giggling, medic.

"I hate you sometimes.." Ratchet muttered, but he managed to hide the smile he, slightly, had from Wheeljack."Love you too, sunshine!~" Wheeljack snickered.

Random TFP headcanons Part 1 (mostly humans)

Raf is deaf in one ear and has a cochlear implant

Jack is transmasc

Miko is ADHD

Raf is Autistic

Miko at one point tried to cut her own hair

good question!!! daily life is mostly boring….at least for a transformer.

step one is: wake up, maybe look outside to see where the ship is today. sometimes it’s in space, sometimes in earth’s orbit, sometimes on the ground.

(monitor says: “WAKE UP - SHIFT SOON”)

step two: report to commander soundwave or other superior for work!

step three: do work, like organize files, or run errands for lord megatron (getting let into the war-room to deliver things is always kind of exciting! although, it’s mostly scary). officially, nightlight works in “information management”. 

step four: break time, drink ration and watch cartoons!!!

after that, it’s just more work, same stuff. maybe do something fun with some vehicon friends. then she gets to recharge.

as for outlying situations, if her day is more exciting, maybe there’s some autobot shenanigans going on, and she runs into one on the ship. then she gets to scream “AAAAAAAAAAAH” while shooting at them aimlessly.

or, maybe the ship gets parked somewhere fun and nightlight goes out to take pictures. mostly of frogs. she likes them!
