WHO KNOWS ABOUT THE TIME LOOP
Hawkeye- painfully aware of it. the first to catch on. he is gnawing at the bars of his cage from day one until the very end.
Trapper- would be aware if he weren't dissociating all the time.
Margaret- gets frequent deja vu but is ultimately unaware. she just thinks that the war is getting to her and vows to keep it together.
Mulcahey- whatever put them in the time loop is going to extra effort to make sure that Mulcahey doesn't know. if Mulcahey were to become aware of the time loop he would have a crisis of faith and eventually become a powerful agent of chaos, disrupting the operations of camp and doing everything in his power to drag them out of the loop. And out of all of them, he's the one who might just succeed. so he gets the turbo memory wipe.
Henry- oblivious. no clue whatsoever.
Klinger- he knows. he's grown to love everyone so much that it doesn't bother him as much as it used to. he still hates every minute of the war but he achieves some level of peace about it.
Radar- has adjusted to their new reality so much that even though he is well aware they are in a time loop he doesn't think anything of it. it isn't until years after he gets home that he realizes just how fucked up it was. he chalks it up to something supernatural and moves on as best he can.
Potter- he's already been in so many wars. if this one seems to be dragging on longer than usual.....well, he must just be getting old. less tolerant of hardship.
Frank- the man is so suspicious and paranoid that it'd be impossible for him not to notice. unfortunately he is operating under the delusion that God has put him in the loop because there's something he personally needs to do to win the war, and he won't get out until he achieves it. he thinks no one else knows and that they're all idiots. he cracks when Margaret leaves him because she's never ever done that before, and shouldn't that mean he did what he needed to do and that they should be winning the war any day now? he is expelled from the loop because he is no longer capable of operating normally within its confines.
Charles- oblivious but not in the same way that Henry is. he is actively repressing his memories as they are formed (canon fact). it's not that he's incapable of being aware, it's that he is choosing not to be. one day he will go back to his former life in boston, period. if his memories of korea are confusing and don't make sense, well, that is by his own design.
BJ- doesn't know about the time loop but changes anyway. the way he changes is identical to how janet from the good place can't remember anything after being rebooted but she kept growing anyway. in BJ's case he changes for the worse. his increasing fixation on control and his home life is a reaction to something he doesn't understand and can't remember. there's a voice in the back of his head telling him that the way he's acting is making.....something, worse. but he can't stop himself.

I am on the episode of mash where they throw frank a birthday party and I love every single character in this show so much 😭 frank was so happy that they remembered his birthday it was so sweet. Ugh I love everyone

finished artist study!! this was so fun to do, i love all of the shapes that are used in the sketches, especially of Hawkeye and Trapper. the two of them seemed to contain more sharp lines and angles, as does the small BJ in the upper right corner. their Mulcahy is more round, i could not manage to get him correct no matter how hard i tried. ;--;
i love figuring out how an artist takes characters and turns them into their own. thank you so much, @t00thpasteface, for allowing me to be able to do this. it was such a fun ordeal.
ps. in the middle right of the screen is my own M*A*S*H OC, Leonidas. ill probably do more on him later.
