Eärwen, mother of Finrod, Angrod, Aegnor, and Galadriel, as I imagined she might have been had she joined the Host of the West in Beleriand during the War of Wrath.
Other thoughts below.
This was strongly influenced by Jenny Dolfen's A Sorrowful Meeting in theme, if not in execution. I've always wondered how much those in Valinor knew about the goings-on in Beleriand, where so many other reunions would never happen.
Women, broadly, get the short shrift in the canon narrative, so I wanted to draw focus to them and their grief, not as helpless, hopeless, hand-wringing maidens, but as angry, maybe even ambivalent avengers of what they had lost.
This closing verse from Edna St. Vincent Millay's "Dirge Without Music" was very much on my mind:
Down, down, down into the darkness of the grave Gently they go, the beautiful, the tender, the kind; Quietly they go, the intelligent, the witty, the brave. I know. But I do not approve. And I am not resigned.

Two Solos - Elemmírë and Maglor playing music in Valinor

Elemmírë and Maglor are music/theater "rivals" and they end up having sexy writing/composing sessions. They're artists and they inspire each other. Elemmírë is vanya and she's the one who composed the Aldudénië, a poem lamenting the death of the Two Trees. I headcanon that she was Maglor's partner who stayed behind in Valinor.

I'm very excited to reveal one of my Artworks for TRSB 2024 over at @tolkienrsb!
In collaboration with @dragonridersofficer-fiammag, who wrote a fic of absolutely epic proportions, I present Glorfindel and Ecthelion at the cusp of Gondolins destruction.

I headcanon that the lords of Gondolin who were Aredhel's guards (Ecthelion, Glorfindel, Egalmoth) were those who killed Eol in the end. I think it's interesting to explore how this event can be considered as kinslaying and how those who were/weren't involved in the First Kinslaying lived it. Especially Glorfindel who did not take part in the kinslaying and felt much guilt about Aredhel's fate.

I'm very excited to show you this year's @tolkienrsb art I made! It's called Stains in the Snow and it's set during the journey through Helcaraxë, showing Glorfindel at the front and Galdor and Salgant behind him. I'm not gonna give out clues what the art is about, if you are interested you are gonna have to read the story written by lovely @jhelenivarsimae, that I will link when it is gonna be available on ao3 on September 6! I will update this post with the link for it, I'm so hyped to read it myself!! I added two versions of this art, originally I was planning to just put the gif here but the quality is not the best, so I also added a still frame.
