currently coping with not being able to afford the TTYD remake at the moment so here are some half-messy doodles of some characters (more doodles of the sheet freak coming soon bc I admire him a normal amount)
Never played this game before, so I’m hoping this will be the one to make me truly like Paper Mario!
just spent the entire weekend playing ttyd remake and oh my god they actually did it. they remade the game with love and respect for the source material, punched it up in tasteful ways and didn't sanitize any part of it. this is my new preferred way to play my childhood favorite game

In which I endure the punishing Pit of 100 Trials to 100% my save file of the TTYD remake! It's a long way down, but it's more fun with friends – and it's definitely more fun knowing there's more to it than meets the eye...
I’m playing Paper Mario and the Thousand-Year Door and it’s great! I played chapter four and now Vivian is my favorite character!!!

i didn’t really get the whole craze of Vivian (besides the big win for trans characters in nintendo games) but when she gives Mario the star i couldn’t stop thinking of that spongebob image, and I was then a proud lover of vivian from then on! She’s just a lil goober <:]

Melody — Music Sheep Oc
Introducing Melody the Flute Sheep. She is one of the many partners Palettian encounters on this journey across the Celestial Isles.
Melody carries a crystal flute that is able to affect the environment around her and create music notes. She is also able to attract animals to her like Snow White. Melody is one of the most cheerful residents of the Woods who shines compared to others.... although, she does have tension with her 3 sisters who not only act as peacekeepers of the Woods but are also in charge of the place since their father retired.
She comes from the Classical Snow Woods where music notes grow on trees, the residents are constantly cheerful, and when snow hits the ground it makes musical notes and brings life to the place.
Working on other Partner characters that Palettian encounters, hopefully you will enjoy the other characters.

TTYD is a wild ride
The recent remake got me to reminisce about this game. There's just something so wonderfully out of place this game is in regards to the Mario franchise as a whole. In summary: Prologue: Welcome to this absolute hellhole of a city! Experience assault, gang violence, and robbery within mere minutes! Interludes: "...TTYD Peac, who gets naked 10,000 times per scene, is a statistical outlier adn should not have been counted." Chapter 1: Local dragon amasses absurdly high kill count via appeals to greed and foot fetishism Chapter 2: "Were... were they intending for this to be a metaphor for...?" (See: WoolieVS playthrough) (insights that make you go "oh no" 😬) Chapter 3: Mario is on the wrong side of the class divide, and needs mafia connections to proceed. Also, surprise! There's murders happening! Chapter 4: Mario's adventure suddenly becomes an allegory for gender dysphoria! ...You don't remember that? That's because the Gamecube-era localizers were COWARDS! (Remake-era, not so much 👍) Chapter 5: Don't worry about the fact that you released a murderous pillaging ghost-pirate out into the world for your own benefit. It's fine. Probably. Ch. 5 Bonus: ...What do you mean you also gave an endangered species brain damage???? Chapter 6: A nice, low-impact story arc to unwind and- OH GOD THEY'RE EVERYWHERE AAAAAGGGH Chapter 7: Mario reactivates an old Cold War-era Soviet weapons system. By now this sort of thing feels par for the course. Chapter 8: funny bing bing wahoo man fights the harbinger of the End Times
