THE IMAGES WON'T LOAD. PLEASE TELL ME THAT I'M NOT ALONE.
The current XKit/Tumblr/Mobile problem...
I’ve been experiencing this only on Firefox, and it seems okay on Chrome, but I wanted to address this with people that are having the ‘constant loading’ problem, seen here and here. *There will be a tl;dr at the bottom of each major section of this post fer easier reading.
Fer those of you that don’t know what I’m talking about, here’s the short and skinny:
Some people have tried to edit posts/drafts on sideblogs and are stuck with this constant, obnoxious load screen that never ends.
Here’s what I’ve noticed:
It’s not technically XKit because disabling XKit... the loading was still there.
It’s not Userstyles
It is FIREFOX and their new update; at least on PC.
I’m 100% unsure about Chrome/Mobile
Part 1:

This image has been haunting me since the last Firefox update, and I haven’t been able to stop it, until now.
There are a couple problems I’ve seen, and I’ll tell you now what I’ve experienced, so that you can avoid it (if not escape it entirely like I have).
The update fer Firefox hit that caused XKit to do something else fer me that was really annoying. As I run several side blogs, I practically require the quick queue/post/draft buttons that people use on the dashboard, but when I would do that, fer some ungodly reason, they would only go to my main blog queue/post/draft. Which was a serious problem.
I responded to that by rolling back to the last Firefox version, aka 35.0.1, and that one was the one that, while I queue/post/draft perfectly fine, I get stuck with the loading screen.
Both options sucked.
Tl;dr:
Here’s what I was experiencing:
Firefox 35.0.1 - Constant loading screen when editing posts/drafts.
Firefox 36.0.4 - Queue/Post/Draft kept going to my main blog instead of side blogs I assigned them to.
Part 2:
Since I was still stuck with this a month later, and the XKit guy hasn’t updated at all (or had even posted in a month) I decided to see what would happen, once more, when I jumped back to 36.0.4.
I updated, queued and drafted a few things just to test the waters and the same thing happened, as expected; they kept ending up in my main blog queue/drafts respectively and not on my side blogs where they were SUPPOSED to go.
So since I definitely couldn’t deal with that crap, I went back to 35.0.1, and considered the alternative others have been talking about.
But low and behold... the loading has stopped.
I have no clue why, as it is the same old version I was using before, but I’ve tested it numerous times and it still seems like all is well. Both problems have gone away, and I have no clue why.
Tl;dr:
I tried update Firefox and it was still broke, then reverted and somehow unknowingly, things are all fixed.
Part 3:
I don’t know why it werks now, it’s likely something will break or it’ll stop, but it’s werking so far fer, me so I’m gonna offer you the two options (keep in mind that these are likely temporary, and might not werk at all fer you):
What I did (a possible cure? Until the next update at least)
This might not werk at all fer you, but it also... might. So it’s werth a shot, right?
Go here, scroll halfway down until you see this:
I still want to downgrade — where can I get the previous version?
It’s large, so you can’t miss it.
There will be a set of bullets under that headline and you want to make sure that the first one says: Firefox 34.0.5, and not a different version. Alternatively just click the link I just provided you and it should werk.
Download it, close Firefox completely, install the old version and allow it to reopen Firefox. Check both problems I’ve mentioned in this post and if it’s fixed, it’s fixed.
If not, I advise you to install the newer version and then revert back to the old version once more. To do this simply click Help > About Firefox, there should be the option to update there.
And to go back, well, you’ve already done this once before, just repeat those steps.
I had to revert back TWICE myself, and now it werks fer me, so I dunno if trying it once or twice is the trick. /shrug
Like I said, this may not werk fer everyone, it may not last long, but it werked fer me, and... well, I wanted to offer my option just in case it saves you a lot of frustration.
What others do (a kinda werk around, fer now, in hopes that the XKit guy returns)
First of all, this method doesn’t make it so that you can edit drafts at all. All yer drafts can’t be edited with this method. It only werks on editing things that are posted.
To edit drafts, my only alternative fer that has been to open them on my page, copy, and paste them into a new post entirely, edit that and then post immediately. Making drafts to edit later doesn’t werk at all with this method, but MY werk around made it so that I could actually edit them; fer that, scroll up to the section above this.
Aside from drafts, if you only want to edit posts that are already up, just do the following...

Go to XKit and Install ‘Go-to-Dash’ if you haven’t already.
Go to the post on yer blog that you want to edit and click this button:

Just as before, if it werks, it werks. Others use this werk around and I’ve tried it, but now I don’t need it.
Good luck, everyone, I hope this post helped! If it did, feel free to reblog and share it.
If you have any questions just ask me.
