The Golden Frost Festival!

Event Summary !

Ryuuni has gotten a highly coveted invitation to an event thats only hosted every ten years! Because of NRC's... interesting actions with it's invites... so it hasn't received an invite in almost a century! not even a single student!

so Ryuuni was confused to see the peculiar letter in the mail, but to hear that they got one.. everyone at NRC was suddenly very interested and nice to their 14yr old enrolled student. :D

Invitation states that Ryuuni can take 4 people! (2 canon + 2 ocs)

the invited oc guests will be chosen by a raffle!

The festival happens when the smaller fairies of nature gather and make a big deal out of the switching of hot summer to cool fall and eventually winter! they all gather to watch their queen cast the weather! (because the royals always cast the weather, this event doesn’t happen often because of safety reasons)

all accompanied by stunning visuals, music, food, and games!

A chaotic, high energy, silly guy with a knack for pranks and teasing.

Despite being chaotic, he’s actually very careful with his job, being blood thirsty when fighting was needed, a crazed fighter that can be blinded his own emotions when they get intense.

They’re like ortho in the sense that they do things with good intention but do disastrous things to get to that point. If you give them directions, they need to be VERY clear or else they won’t understand.

Thinks with his heart more than his head, unlike his oldest brother.

🛃 Unique Magic 🛃

“ Underworld’s Wake ”

They summon blue fire and what ever “burns” will be now encased and trapped, Melinoe can manipulate the blue fire to make it actually burn and damage what ever it’s trapping.

The fire can be manipulated into a weapon, a cage, a rope, anything physical! The only weakness is that sea water will significantly weaken the flames :(

And once they successfully captured whatever they’re catching, they can choose to release them from the flames and unleash their worst nightmares on them, the only thing that would stop/defeat their UM is if the person has great willpower and can overcome their worst nightmare.

🛃 Relationships 🛃

Ortho, when the incident happened, Melinoe was the only one who didn’t know immediately, Melinoe was oblivious to what happened due their young age, and when he did find out, Noe was so heartbroken and feels indirectly guilty. He’s supposed to be a bodyguard…

Idia is easy to tease and Melinoe sure doesn’t like to miss an opportunity, but it’s all in good fun does Meli swear. But the two do sometimes have heart to heart talk, Idia often can’t find them when he needs to so the small white bell on Noe’s ribbon is a dog like whistle, that calls for Melinoe when Idia needs him, or if anyone needs Melinoe.

Zagreus, or Zagger, as Noe calls them, they’re quite the opposite so they often disagree on many things, they both love each other, they swear they do, but sometimes the tension is too much. Melinoe just wishes that Zagger would get off their back sometimes…

Mak/Makaria is much more casual compared to Zagger, and in the same year, so Melinoe is much more casual with them, but even with that would lead to the usual playful sibling arguments, much more comfortable with Mak, for better and maybe for worse heh.

Floyd met Melinoe in class, they have a blast especially during flight class, and enjoyed hanging out at Mostro lounge with him. Melinoe likes to come to Floyd’s games and Mak was the one who pointed out how involved Meli was with Floyd, and then the gears started to turn in the puppy’s head.

🛃 Backstory 🛃

Growing up in a family that worked to protect the Shroud family, Melinoe loves to explore the less technology side of things, not to say he doesn’t appreciate his origins.

Melinoe is kind of emotionally stupid because ever since they were young, him and his siblings were trained to be phenomenal bodyguards for the shroud siblings.

There was no trauma inducing event, but Melinoe often finds himself doubting his worth because of how oblivious he is. (Ex. Ortho’s incident, Zagger having to tell him that he loves Idia and Meli had no idea, not knowin that he was getting feelings for floyd)

THE TIME HAS COME! Today marks the day of the DEAD. Play the music and dance until you're dead!

Welcome! The afterlife fully embraces your lively arrival!

Due to some mishap, some of the students ended up in.. none other than the AFTERLIFE! But, this afterlife doesn't seem to be like the way they thought it would be? Why do you need to be scanned to check inside.. But all you need to focus on is HOW TO ESCAPE! No matter how enticing the desire is to dance and sing with the skeletons!

The only way to escape is to join a musical contest of showing art in different forms! While at the same time, resisting the magic that will slowly turn you into a spirit!

(tbh you can choose between the one with the bone foreground or the one without it— I prefer if you use the one with the bones lol)

I had a painful time trying to think of a design for the background so save me some slack, it's horrible

I just wanna say that when doing your designs— I do want you to include body/face paint like this

And I also wanna add that, The arms/fingers of your character should be slowly turning into a skeleton (as it's part of the story)

The part that's turning into a skeleton has more opaque skin!! Just wanna point it out before you join my silly event

Your character MUST have some sort of music/art related object nearby (guitars, violins, paint brushes, etc) or anything that can be expressed in terms of art (which is a lot but I mostly focus on Music and Art)

IM SO SORRY IF YOU DONT GET MY EXPLANATION— please send me a reply if you're confused lol

I don't have a lot of specific color palettes but I do want you to include the color orange in there and some bright colors! But you know, in the end it's you making your designs, not me (but Please don't stray too far from the inspo bc I wanna keep it near COCO's aesthetics!)

The completed (ish) character sheet for Flori! There was no thing for occupation so just saying, she’s a crown princess and Black Shore is a little island kingdom I made up just off the coast of the Shaftlands. My arm hurts from drawing her (。-∀-) I’ll probably make a more in-depth analysis sometime but idk when. Anyways, hope you like her!

Here she is, Flori in her Golden Frost Fest attire! She’s not terribly fond of parties due to her family back home holding galas practically every other day. She finds them tedious and extravagant. She also especially dislikes birthday parties, but that’s a story for another day 😉. Thanks to @the-rini-rush for starting this event!!!!!!!

🕊️: I do adore the fall though, the leaves turning beautiful autumn colors, the air turning crisp. It's a shame to watch the flowers take their leave, though.

🕊️: How are the winters here? Even though Black Shore is just off the coast of the Shaftlands, I really haven’t been able to experience a snowy winter because our climate is still moderately temperate.

The many hairstyles of Flori Mohn-Prinz! Just wanted a silly doodle and a chance to cram some Flamil and Flepel into some drawings!
