Do you think I could ask for a second part to the brushing their hair with Leona, Silver, Sebek, Floyd, and Ruggie? If that's too many characters feel free to only do a few
Thank you!
Yes, you may! Thank you for the request! <3
Brushing Their Hair (Part 2)
Part 1
Twisted Wonderland - Platonic Headcanons
Characters: Leona Kingscholar, Silver, Sebek Zigvolt, Floyd Leech, Ruggie Bucchi

Leona Kingscholar
Slightly skeptical the first time you ask to brush his hair, but accepts without protest. (He might tease you, though.)
Will not make it easy for you, as he’ll lounge as he sees fit. It’s a 50% chance he’ll slouch in a chair for you, 50% chance he’ll lay down to nap.
Mind the ears! Brush bristles don’t feel good on them.
Gets drowsy having his hair brushed #1.
Will snap at you grouchily if you snag on any tangles in his long, wavy hair.
Would not offer to brush your hair in turn, but would silently show his appreciation to you via gifts he just so ‘happens’ to have on hand.
If you give him a braid or two, he’ll keep them in his hair until they need to be redone. He’s very pleased with them and if he’s in a good mood, he might even compliment you on them.
Has soft, slightly textured hair that’s on the dry side when you run your fingers through it. Be slow and careful, though, for his hair tangles easily.
Silver
Surprised by your offer to brush his hair but accepts, thanking you for such a kind gesture.
Gets drowsy having his hair brushed #2.
Is liable to fall asleep on you.
He feels so pleasantly relaxed afterwards that he’ll look forward to future bonding sessions with you, even if he doesn’t vocalize it.
On occasions that he does fall asleep on you, he’s very apologetic and will want to make it up to you. He’s grateful and touched that you never seem to mind him falling asleep on you.
Would definitely be impressed if you give him braids and will be happy about them, considering them as a symbol of your bond with each other. He’ll offer to give you braids and style your hair in turn.
Has baby-soft, nearly silky hair. It is a mystery how his hair is so smooth and beautiful, because I’m pretty sure he’s the kind of guy to use 2-in-1 shampoo and conditioner.
Sebek Zigvolt
Friendship level too low! Why the heck would you want to brush his hair? Do you have some sort of ulterior motive?
If you achieve the right friendship level, he’ll be awkward about it and insist on returning the favor. He’s a tad shy letting you see his hair down and unsettled, as he’s displaying a side of himself that he normally wouldn’t show anyone else if he can help it. Understand that he’s putting a great deal of trust in you by showing you a vulnerable side of himself.
Once he gets used to having his hair brushed, he’ll be much more relaxed during bonding sessions and much quieter. He’ll happily chatter with you about everything and anything, gradually talking less about Malleus and more about himself the more bonding sessions and the deeper your friendship grows.
His hair is too short to properly hold a braid. He’s slightly envious of the people that you do give braids too, because he wants to be able to boast about your friendship with him like that too, but he won’t say it.
His hair runs on the drier side from the daily styling he does to it. Given how short his hair is, it’s very easy to brush and fun to run your fingers through.
Floyd Leech
Why would you want to brush his hair? That seems so boring! Why would you wanna fuss over something like his hair? You’re not up to something, are you? He’ll not be happy about it if you’re here to nag at him over his appearance, Shrimpy!
After the first time you brush his hair, he’s quite fascinated by how nice it felt to have someone else brush his hair for him and absolutely insists on returning the favor.
He’s very serious about brushing your hair with steady, gentle fingers. It’s you, after all, and he’ll return the care you’ve shown him tenfold. He’ll tease you if you express surprise at his serious side. He knows when to take things seriously, you know?
If you give him a braid, he’ll very gladly and proudly show it off to anyone and everyone and will definitely boast that you’re the one who braided it if asked about it. He’ll ask you to teach him how to braid so that he can braid your hair too. He normally wouldn’t care about such things, but he wants you to know that he cares about you too.
His hair is on the dry side, coarse to the touch. The combo of being a merman, living in an underwater dorm, and being a likely user of 2-in-1 shampoo and conditioner does not do his hair any favors.
Ruggie Bucchi
Another person who is skeptical about your offer to brush his hair. Do you want something from him? If you need a favor, he’d much rather you bribe him with food, money, or both.
If you manage to convince him of the sincerity of your offer, he’ll take you up on it. He’ll still be wary the first few minutes waiting for you to spring something on him, but then he’ll melt into full relaxation mode when he sees for himself that brushing his hair is really all you wanted.
He’s very much not used to the concept of nice gestures with no expectation of repayment, so while he won’t offer to brush your hair in turn, he’ll return the gesture in other ways via chores and freebies he scored at the school store.
Depending on how tired he is during a hair brushing session, he’ll either be silent the whole while, basking in the sensation of being pampered, or he’ll chatter on the whole while about the work Leona puts him through.
Mind the ears #2!
Hair is much too short and thin to properly hold a braid, but he doesn’t mind at all. He just likes spending time with you. You’ll need to reach a very high level of friendship before he’ll vocalize that, however.
Hair is dry yet soft, wispy to the touch when you run your fingers through it.

(A/N): I hope you enjoyed and that I did your request justice, Ryker! I’m not very familiar with a good deal of the characters that you requested, so I’m sorry in advance if they come across as being a bit OOC.
hey hey sorry to bother you with another request
I'm having a really bad day with anxiety and so I was wondering if you could do a thing about Sebek, Vil, and Leona and helping the reader handle their anxiety/calm down when it gets too intense?
sorry to add more onto your requests and you don't have to do it if you don't want to of course. Anyway take your time and remember to take care of yourself please Mimi
It’s not a bother at all! I’m sad to hear that you’re having a bad anxiety day and I hope that this can bring you some comfort. I’m more than happy to write this for you, Ryker. And yes, I’ll remember to take care of myself too. <3
Brief Trigger Warning, as per the request: This piece includes the reader in various states of anxiety and panic, and describes the beginnings of different kinds of panic attacks.
Sebek Zigvolt, Vil Schoenheit, & Leona Kingscholar Helping An Anxious Reader

Sebek Zigvolt
Sebek paused from his studying at the sudden stop of the soft scratching of your pencil on paper across from him. He took in the tense set of your shoulders with a frown, eyes searching your face, only to find you completely unfocused and staring blankly at your homework.
You were spiraling again, weren’t you?
“Human.”
He cleared his throat at your flinching, scooting closer to gently pry the pencil from your trembling fingers.
“Are you alright?” His voice was now softer, attempting to make his volume a soothing murmur. “You’ve stopped working.”
He kept his eyes on you to keep track of your reactions, reaching out to give your hand a reassuring squeeze at the shaky inhale you gave him. When you were unable to give him a further response, throat too stopped up with anxiety, he gently rubbed his thumb against your knuckles to reassure you.
“Is it your classes again?” He glances at your half finished homework, giving your hand another squeeze. “Worry not!” He attempts to offer you a smile, not in the practice of being brightly reassuring like your other friends might be. “Classes are simply another form of training! I’m quite adept at mathematics and alchemy; any help you should need, we’ll cover all your bases together!”
His smile relaxed at your subtle nod, glad to see that you were beginning to calm down. He gave your hand one more squeeze before letting go of your hand to give you back your pencil.
If it is not your classes that you are worried about,” he began, trailing off for a moment before looking back up at you to return your gaze, voice a touch unsure, “I am more than ready to lend you my aid. Whenever you need it.”

Vil Schoenheit
You turned a corner, only to find that it was the exact same as the last three you had walked down. The same stained glass windows, the same carpet runner, the same vases and wainscoting in an endless maze all around you. Why hadn’t you accepted Epel’s offer to guide you through Pomefiore before he left for Spell Drive practice? Where was Rook, or even any other Pomefiore student, to ask for directions? Why had you even accepted this stupid errand from Crowley anyways?
Just as the hallway was beginning to stretch before you into an endless tunnel and your breaths were turning into short, shallow, gasps, a pair of hands gripped you by the shoulders and anchored you back to reality by the strength of them holding you close. The hands belonged to Vil, who looked down at you with a frown. His eyes searched your face, brows pinched with the severity of his concern.
“You got lost, didn’t you?”
You could only helplessly nod, light headed and unfocused. His eyes narrowed and he tsk’ed at you, stepping back so that he could wrap an arm around your back to guide you from the hallway and to his bedroom. He directed you to sit on the chaise in front of his bed as he left for a moment before he returned with a glass of cool water.
“Sip slowly,” he instructed. “And match my breathing.”
He sat beside you, placing a hand on your lower back to silently encourage you to straighten up and ease your shoulders as he began to slow his breathing for you to match. His fingers traced idle, nonsensical patterns on your back in soothing repetitive as he breathed in and out with you. He stayed beside you even after your breathing had regulated, eyes on you to ensure that you finished the glass of water.
“Have you calmed down now?” He waited for a nod, and pressed a kiss to your forehead when he received one. “Good. Now, what was this errand you were sent on?”

Leona Kingscholar
You and Leona were seated in Ramshackle’s living room, settled in for a quiet afternoon of friendly chess matches and snacks to pass the time. Or rather, the two of you were trying to do that, but were constantly interrupted by the incessant buzzing of message notifications coming from your phone. Even though your free time in between classes and all the errands Crowley had you running for him were scarce, everyone you had met and aided on campus up til now would constantly be sending you messages in search of your help with menial tasks.
After the tenth message in under a minute had your breath hitching and dropping a bishop, Leona plucked your phone from the table to silence it, exhaling a sigh through his nose. He’d often argue with you sometimes about your proclivity to help these selfish students that took from your precious free time with no regards to you, but today, before he could open his mouth to make a comment on the selflessness that grated on his nerves because it meant you were always putting others before yourself, he was stopped short by the look upon your face.
Your brows were furrowing as you bit your lip in an attempt to stave off a hot flush of tears from overcoming you, arm outstretched as if you weren’t really sure if you actually did want to take back your phone from him to answer those messages begging for your help.
Leona scowled and put the phone down, out of reach from you.
“Stop that. You’ll give yourself a headache,” he admonished, no bite to his words as he reached over and soothed the furrow between your brows with his thumb. “You gotta let yourself slow down. All this runnin’ in circles that everyone’s havin’ you do is gonna make you crash and burn. Got that?”
He waited for you to give him a nod that you at least heard what he said before he pushed aside the chess board to pull you into his lap, wrapping his arms around you securely.
“They’ve been handlin’ everything just fine without you runnin’ around, bendin’ over backwards for ‘em. Today won’t be any different. You’ve earned some rest. So relax, yea? I’m right here with ya.”

(A/N): I hope you enjoyed and that this was able to bring you some comfort, Ryker! I apologize in advance if any of these characters felt OOC.
Hello
Can I ask for headcanons of Malleus, Leona, and Vil with a reader who likes to steal their clothes to wear? Or maybe not even their full outfit just a piece or two? Whatever you feel comfortable with
Thank you and I hope you have a wonderful day

Malleus, Leona & Vil With A Reader Who Likes To Steal Their Clothes
(A/N): I’m more than happy to fulfill your request, Cherry Blossom Anon! Sorry it took so long for me to get to it 😅 I’m not as familiar with Leona as I am Malleus and Vil, so I apologize I’m advance if his section seems a tad OOC. I hope you enjoy!
Reader is implied to be the player character/prefect, and the setting is implied to be NRC.

Malleus Draconia
The first time he sees you wearing his clothes, he simply assumes that he must’ve accident left it behind the last time he visited you at Ramshackle and doesn’t pay it any mind. He finds it endearingly amusing, to see you in his clothes.
If you’re flustered when he catches you wearing or stealing his clothes to wear, he’ll most definitely tease you about it. He finds your reactions adorable and his teasing will be light hearted, but merciless.
The more he catches sight of you wearing some of his clothes – a uniform tie of his, his uniform blazer, once you even took his vest - the more he suspects that you might actually be stealing his clothes. His suspicions aren’t confirmed until he catches sight of you wearing one of his shirts.
He finds the whole of it endearing, though he can’t comprehend why you’d want to steal his clothes. Was this a human custom of friendship or courtship? He’d be more than happy to give you some of his clothes if you’d simply asked. (He did not find it amusing that Lilia laughed in his face when he asked him about it.)
He finds soon enough that he absolutely loves the sight of you in his clothes.
He tends to become clingier and more physically affectionate when he sees you wearing his clothes.
Leona Kingscholar
Doesn’t notice any of his clothes going missing. When he catches you wearing one of his perpetually unused uniform blazers, he assumes you picked it up from wherever he left it laying in his room. You had a tendency to complain that he hogged the blankets during naps, you taking one of his uniform blazers to wear to keep warm isn’t the biggest stretch of logic, in his opinion. Why would he assume you’d want to steal his clothes?
He notices when Ruggie complains that Leona’s laundry has been oddly missing a bunch of clothes, despite Ruggie keeping a tight maintenance of all of Leona’s things (he gets paid to look after him, after all, and he doesn’t do his job half-assed. There’s service fees he can charge extra.)
Unlike Malleus, he has just enough emotional intelligence to put two and two together that you probably take his clothes because it reminds you of him, and this means that he’s someone important to you. Cubs and pups do this all the time with their loved ones, after all. This knowledge leaves him incredibly smug the first few days after he realizes it, but he won’t say a word of it if you question his sudden good mood.
The sight of you wearing his clothes leaves him feeling fond. Not that he’d ever say that outright; the only way you’ll see him expressing this is through him being clingier and more physically affectionate than usual. He’s not the best at expressing his emotions, especially not verbally, but he’s trying to show his reciprocation of how you feel towards him in his own way.
Uses his naps as an excuse to cuddle with you if he sees you in his clothes.
He tells Ruggie not to mind the clothing thief, as he knows who it is personally. (Ruggie thinks the two of you are disgustingly sappy and cringingly cheesy. He wants no part of that, thanks.)
Vil Schoenheit
He notices as soon as the first article of clothing goes missing.
He has a system for his clothes and every outfit he wears, down to the color scheme and accessories he’ll be wearing for a day. Anyone who messes with his system risks facing his ire.
It doesn’t take him long to figure out that it was you took some of his clothes. He is torn between being greatly annoyed and fondly exasperated. What was he to do with you, honestly?/lh
If you wanted clothing advice, he’d be more than happy to give it to you. If you needed hand me downs because of Crowley’s poor guardianship, he had no qualms about whisking you away on a shopping spree. He’s quick to realize and understand, though, that you simply just enjoy taking and wearing his clothes because it reminds you of him every time you do so. How endearing can you be??
Rather than simply asking you to stop taking his clothes so it stops messing with his system, or offering to buy matching outfits, he comes up with completely logical and not at all convoluted solution to leave specific clothes that he intends for you to take from his wardrobe. If some of these things he sets up for you to steal turn out to be matching outfits that he got tailored for you, it’s merely a fortuitous coincidence.
He finds the sight of you in his clothes utterly adorable and lovable. He may even start getting into the habit of simply just gifting the clothes to you directly, though he’s aware that you’ll likely continue to pilfer clothes from him anyways.
He won’t become clingy or more physically affectionate when he sees you in his clothes, but he’ll most definitely be smug and preen about it. He has excellent taste in clothes and it’s only natural that you would look positively wonderful in whatever clothes of his that you decided to wear.
No one in his dorm had the audacity to try and steal from him before due to his position as dorm head with a fierce grasp on curses, so soon after he realizes you were stealing from him, he spells his wardrobe with anti-theft measures. (You are, of course, an exception.)

(A/N: I hope you enjoyed! Since it wasn’t specified if you wished for this to be romantic or platonic, I attempted to leave it open ended, so that it could be up to reader interpretation. Thank you for the request!)
TW First years see female mc as their mother figure and literally call her "mom/mum/ma/mother dearest" and dorm leaders overhear and their reaction on it, please
Housewardens Reactions to MC Being Called 'Mom' by First Years
Riddle:
Was confused at first.
You and Riddle were sitting in the Heartslabyul lounge having tea, and all he hears in the back is Ace and Deuce going:
"Why is mom here?"
"Housewarden, why are you having tea with my mother?"
Is trying so hard not to spit out tea.
Questions why they are calling you their mom and finds it very weird.
Does not get used to them calling you mom but just lets it be. Eventually.
Leona:
"Mom, why are you sleeping with Leona?"
EXCUSE YOU WHAT?!
Jumps up from napping with you and stares Jack in the eyes.
Leona has never met Jack's mother, and doesn't want to.
And you answer so casually to it, like what?
Questions what the heck is wrong with Jack.
Is creeped out by the first years calling you mom, but doesn't want to know in fear of the answer.
Azul:
Was politely having a conversation with you, and Azul threw a few jokes in here and there.
"Stop flirting with my mother."
Freezes. Is so confused because you didn't give birth to anyone at NRC.
Asks about the name calling and it takes so long to get used to it.
Just- accepts it after knowing it's because they see you as a mother figure.
Kalim:
Just stands there with his mind blank of what Ace just said.
"Mother dearest, can I practice fire magic on Grim, he's being annoying."
Since when are you a mom? Fully believes it. Also, poor Grim, roasted cat probably doesn't taste good.
You have to explain. He finds it sweet after he gets it but calls you friend still.
Asks you "How are your children doing?" With complete sweetness every time he talks with you.
Vil:
You took care of his plants that he uses to make skincare products for three days since he was so so busy and couldn't squeeze in the time. You did such a wonderful job at it too, so he gave you a kiss on the cheek as a reward.
"Um, sorry to disturb you, but could you not kiss mom in front of me?"
Is this some type of joke? It is physically impossible that Epel is your child.
Ohh, it's because he sees you as a mother figure. That makes more sense now, that you 'adopted' Epel.
Doesn't really care, but calls Epel out for sass.
Idia:
Doesn't mind that the first years call you mom because he hears it so often. Ortho refers to you as 'sis' (for sister), so...
Refers to the first years as your children.
"Do your children want to verse us in duos?"
Is pretty chill about it.
Malleus:
Is confused when Sebek calls you 'mother', but has always known that you have a nurturing and very caring side to you.
Understands why Sebek and the other first years call you mom, and finds that the sentiment towards you is quite sweet of them.
Understands that you have no knowledge of this world, you're human, and that you couldn't have given birth to Sebek.
Is okay with it really, unless you get in trouble for something Ace did which had nothing to do with you.
Leona Kingscholar x Female! Reader SMUT

WARNINGS: Sex, bad writing, of character Leona but what fan written Leona isn’t.
Inspiration:
That weird hormone perfume I saw advertised on TikTok.
Author notes:
As we know from the manga, Leona sleeps without a shirt on.
Are they dating? Yes. Is this the couples first time having sex with each other. Also yes.
I looked up mating rituals of lions so that was interesting. Like I knew the female lion was the boss in that case but it’s still pretty interesting. Anyway male lions with stroke or lick the female on their necks, shoulders or backs to initiate the males also bite the female to basically remain in control and it helps with ovulation apparently which sounds bullshit but I guess it works?. Anyway I’ll probs look up stuff for the other non human members of the cast. Though with the fae ones I’ll probably only use part of the animal that they’re associated with since dragons aren’t real and pretty sure Azul’s dick isn’t removable nor is it one of his tentacles.
Anyway also use protection.
~~~
The Prefect of ramshackle dorm had recently gotten herself a bottle of perfume from the school store that smelt lovely, and was on sale. But what she didn’t know was that it was enchanted to make whomever harvest strong romantic feelings towards the Wearer to act upon those feelings in someway Handholding, kisses, hugs etc whenever they smelled it. And unfortunately for a certain lion beast man, these feelings were tripled as his sense of smell was so much better than any humans. She had been wearing the perfume for about a month, still unknowing about the enchantment, but every time the two would cross paths he would get a huge whiff of her intoxicating scent, and when she was in the same room as him for a long period of time, or standing close to him, every time, it got stronger, this particular time she was taking a joint class with his class and surprisingly he showed up to class, but as soon as the bell rang, he quickly got up to leave to get away from her scent. He was stopped by deuce as he wanted to ask him something and she was standing next to him he sighed. “..what..” he said, gritting his teeth. “Sorry I just wanted to ask-..” Deuce said. “Ask, Ruggie.” Is all he said before moving past them to leave. “Are you alright? You look flushed and you’re sweating.” The Prefect asked reaching towards him pressing the back of her hand to his forehead. “My god. You feel hot!” She said surprised. “Do you need to go to the nu-“ He ducked away from her hand a sneer on his face. “I’m fine.” He said turning and walking out of the classroom. “A-alright then..” she said watching him walk away. He practically speed walked to the bathroom walking over to the sink and turning the water on splashing water on his face to calm himself as he let out a loud exaggerated sigh.
Leona retreating or running away continued for the next few days as the Prefect would try to talk to him and ask to hang out with him and whatnot yet he’d avoid any form of physical contact even after she had stopped wearing the perfume. But it was too late the enchantment was already in effect. While she was contemplating and over thinking that he didn’t want to be with her anymore he was trying to overcome all the sexual thoughts and not wanting to hurt her in his aroused and angered state. The smallest whiff of her scent put him in a foul mood because he couldn’t be near her until the enchantment wore off as he didn’t trust himself. But as he watched her from afar all those days he could see how much him avoiding her physically was weighing on her. He let out a yawn as he laid in bed staring at the ceiling trying to sleep fall asleep but finding it hard to do so he sighed grabbed his phone from the desk next to his bed and quickly send her a message.
Leona: Hey, Sorry I’ve been avoiding you.
He sent the first message unsure what to write next. He sighed a growl flowing from his lips as he rolled over onto his side burying his face into his pillow before feeling his phone vibrate before it rang. He looked at the screen seeing that it was her who was calling. He took a deep breath before answering. “..yeah.” He said already filled with guilt. “So, why have you been avoiding me?” She asked her voice soft and low like she was about to cry. He gulped before replying. “You know that perfume you’ve been wearing?” He stated. “Oh, was it too overpowering?” She asked. “Not exactly, it was enchanted..” Is all he said unsure how to phrase what he needed to say. “Basically, it makes me want to…” his voice drifted off. Thoughts of her roaming his mind. “…do stuff….to you..” he said softly his tail swishing slightly. His face flushed. “O-oh, OH!” She said her face also flushing. “Do you not want to do stuff with me..” she said biting her lip. He let out a groan like sigh. “Of course I do, I just-ugggh, I don’t wanna..hurt you..” he said biting his lip burying his face in his pillow once more. “..ok I see..” she said her face more flushed then before. “..are you in your room right now..” she asked. “Yeah..” he replied. “Stay where you are.” She said hanging up and putting her phone in her pocket. His eyes widened realising what she was intending to do. He sighed and put his phone on the desk before pulling the blankets over his head hiding from the cool moonlit night breeze.
The door opened with a small thud. “Sorry.” She winched at the sound before shutting the door slowly. She took a deep breath trying to compose herself before walking over to the bed. “Are you gonna hide from me now.” She said to the lump under the blanket. His tail flicked and swayed as it was free from the blanket which told her that he was happy she was there or annoyed she was unsure. She sighed and sat down on the bed. “It’s okay if you want to do stuff with me especially that kind of stuff but..at least tell me and..let me set the pace..” she said her face flushed as one hand gripped the blanket the other covering her mouth her eyes downcast as she bit her lip. He rolled over and sat up the blanket falling from his face showing his flushed face. “..are you sure?..” his voice low as his piercing green eyes stared at her. Her scent filling his nostrils engulfing him. “Y-yes.” She said removing her hand from her mouth and turning to look up at him with a nod. His eyes widened slightly his thoughts shattering as he lent forward his lips crashing against hers in a sloppy but passionate kiss his tongue pressing into her mouth roaming around like it hasn’t been there in years. He wrapped his arm around her gently pushing her to the bed his other hand caressing her head. He pulls away from her pressing his forehead to her’s as they both pant for breath he sighs breathing in her scent. “Sorry..” he mumbled in his gruff voice as he rubbed his cheek against hers before leaning down and rubbing his head against her neck and collarbone trying to get his scent on her and hers on him. His teeth grazed against her neck before licking it gently.
She let out a gasp at the roughness of his tongue on her neck. He sighed sniffing her once more. “Leona?” She said softly. His eyes widened his face flushing once more in embarrassment as he buried his face in the crook of her neck. “You smell good..” he said trying to shove his embarrassment away. “Is this a beastman thing? To sniff, lick and rub against each other?” She asked. “We also bite.” He said his mood turning sour his teeth grazing her collarbone as his piercing gaze stared at her neck. She smiled softly a small chuckle leaving her throat before she placed her hands on his head her thumbs gently rubbing his ears while her fingers massaged his head. He closed his eyes loving the feeling of her touch he’ll never admit it though. “So what kind of things did you think about doing.” She asked continuing her movements. “As long as I’m comfortable doing it then it’s ok.” She said. He stared at her for a moment before exhaling and sitting up pulling away from her. He stared down at her hands rested on her chest as she looked up at him her face flushed. His thoughts were scattered as he looked down at her pinned beneath him.
She placed her hands on he’s cheeks. “Leona?” She said softly. He blinked slowly bringing his face down to her neck giving it a long lick before biting down on it. Not hard enough to break skin but still leaving a mark. She let out a moan like gasp. “Ah! Leona, that hurt!!” She said pushing him away quickly before covering the bite mark with her hand. He scoffed with a chuckle as he rubbed the mark with his thumb. “..I wanted to pin you down mark you as mine and fill you with me..” he said his voice low as his hands gripped the bed beneath them. “O-oh my…” she said her face so flushed that it reached her ears as she covered her face with her hands taking a few deep breaths before replying. “T-then fill me with you. J-just slowly please.” She said her gaze meeting his as she placed her hands on his cheeks. He smirked before leaning down and capturing her lips once more biting her lip before slipping his tongue in his hands moving to her hips lifting her shirt his ruff palms moving against her skin as they traveled upward his thumbs slipping under her bra before pushing it up before cupping her breasts his thumbs flicking her nipples slightly earning a muffled gasp from her as she pulls away from him as they both breathe heavily. “Leona..” she says softly kicking off her shoes before pulling him into an embrace her arms wrapping around him as she kissed him. He smirked against her lips and pulled away from her as he slides his hands down to her leggings slipping them off along with her underwear. She presses her thighs together feeling the coolness of the night hit her exposed parts. He kneels on the floor and parts her legs kissing her thighs gently his canines grazing her skin slightly until he reached her slit leaving a long slow lick up to her exposed bud. She gasped and sat up at the unexpected feeling. All he did was smirk and pushed her down bring her exposed slit closer and licking it once more his fingers gently rubbing her opening before prodding it his finger sliding inside while his tongue licks her exposed bud. She quivers slightly squeezing her thighs together as they rest against his head. He continues to lick while he caresses her insides his motions becoming fast. She covered her mouth with a hand letting out a moan. He pulled away with a smirk as he slid in another finger thrusting them faster as he kissed her thigh before leaving another bite. His tongue licking it as she let out a moan her walls clenching around his fingers. He pulls out his fingers purposely dragging his fingers slowly as he wipes them on his pants before putting her thighs down on the bed. She
With her breathing slightly ragged she watches as he moves away from her and leaning over the bed and rummaged through one of the draws before coming back to her and leaning down and whispering in her ear. “Roll over.” He said in a gruff voice just above a whisper before he kissed her once more. She blinked a few times before nodding and rolling over onto her stomach moving so she was on her knees. Let leant down and spoke softly into her ear. “This is your last chance to back out.” He said a hand resting on her hip. She looked back at him with a soft smile. “Just…be gentle..” she says softly her hands gripping the bed covers. He lets out a scoff as he pulls back ripping a condom packet with his teeth mumbling a reply. “I’ll try.” He said letting out a groan as slid the cool condom over his length shuddering slightly at the feeling. He let out a shakily breath as he pressed his length against her wet outer walls. She looked away from him as she felt his tip prod her entrance obviously a lot more girth then his to fingers. He slid inside her wet walls letting out a grunt at the feeling of her heat around him. She bit her lip her walls clenching around him as she let out a sound she was unsure she could make. He grunted as he started to move keeping his pace slow his hands resting on her hips. She gripped the covers more every time he moved letting out soft almost unheard sounds. His ears twitched at those soft sounds as he continued his movements his tail swishing slightly as he leant over her his chest pressed against her back his thrusts speeding up as he wrapped his arms around her one hand groping one of her breasts the other caressing her stomach. She lets out a louder moan his ears twitching at her muffled moans as she hides her face in the bed covers her eyes clenching shut. He scoffs once more as he rubs his cheek against her head and leaving a lick on her neck before biting it once more. Her back arched as she let out a strangled sound before burying her face in the covers again. His thrusts only became more aggressive after that. Her walls clenching around his as he hit all different parts of her insides. His teeth stayed against her skin as his hips slapped into hers his movements rough as his breathing was rugged. She let out a loud low muffled moan her walls clenching around him as she shivered hitting her climax her eyes watering at the feeling of him inside of her. He continued his thrusts his movements staggering slightly as he shuddered as muffled growl like moan reverberating against her skin as he came. His movements stopped as leant against her his body weight enveloping her slightly his ragged breathing against her neck his teeth still pressed into her skin his length still inside of her warm wet walls his tail flicking.
“L-Leona?” She asked trying to turn to look at him the best she could but she could only see his hair. His piercing green gaze unmoving as he stared at nothing in particular. She reached up to try to shake his shoulder but all she could reach was his ear as her fingertips brushing against. “Leona!” She said slightly louder once more trying to get his attention. His eyes shifted around before he realised what he was doing and pulled away from her his eyes landing on the bite mark noticing that it wasn’t bleeding. He gave it a lick before pulling away removing himself from her completely. “Sorry.” He said in his gruff voice as he fixed himself discarding the used condom in the bin. “Get up.” He said she nodded and slowly got up staggering slightly. He pulled her to him before pulling the bed covers down and helping her into the bed before following her pulling them over the two of them. He lets out a huff and wrapped his arms around her and sniffing her content that she smells like him. He relaxes before falling asleep. She sighs but cuddles up next to him knowing that there’s not way she would be able to leave.
Jack liked to imagine himself as a somewhat perceptive person, especially with his large ears catching wind of exchanged whispers and his outstanding olfaction that allowed him to pick up distinctive scents. As reserved as he seemed, he tended to watch things from the sidelines and keep note of different people's quirks and whatnots, and so more often than not he would surprise others with his hidden knowledge and observations. All in all, he knew quite well about people around him.
Or so he thought, because whatever was unfolding in front of his widened eyes was making him doubt all his previous judegements about his much respected dorm leader.
It was mid-afternoon with the sun hanging high in the sky, burning with murderous intent. Jack, having had the misfortune to be the first student spotted by Crewel, was tasked to 'bring him the disobedient cat who would rather sleep than attend his lessons'. Jack recalled the places Ruggie would go to find Leona and found himself in the botanic garden in no time, eyes scanning the lush green and distracting flowers. He smelled his presence first, then noticed something else mixed in that woody scent.
His confusion only grew when he recognized its owner, who was none other than the prefect of Ramshackle. The trail led him to a spot shielded by a thick canopy of banana leaves, and right underneath was Leona, serenely asleep and– wait, is he sleeping on the prefect's lap? And is that their hand in his hair?
Jack blinked. He wasn't hallucinating.
Your face brightened in recognition when he finally shuffled close enough. "Hey Jack! Here to check on the cacti?"
"...No," despite his initial shock, his voice gave nothing away. Leona spared him one glance before promptly closing his eyes again. "Crewel asked me to bring Leona to class, but… what are you doing here?"
As if just now realizing yourself, you removed your fingers from Leona's silky hair, earning a dissatisfied huff. "Your dorm leader here caught me passing by and made me his personal pillow. I haven't moved from this position for hours."
Jack hoped that you were only exaggerating about the time, but frankly he was too preoccupied with other thoughts to care. For one, the painfully arrogant, prideful, and self-assured prince was resting his head on your lap and letting you thread your fingers through his locks? The Leona who would scowl and glower whenever someone so much as brushed against his tail? The Leona who would bite someone's arm off before ever giving them the idea that he could be anything less than almighty, let alone soft?
"Just tell Crewel you failed. I'm not about to ruin my nap to brew stupid potions," Leona stated, stubborn as usual.
"No way, I'm not missing my classes so that you can have your fun in dreamland. Get up!" You nudged him. No movement. "Jack, can you help me drag him off?"
Before the poor boy could take a step, Leona growled. "Don't you dare. Just give me ten more minutes, damn it."
"That's the third time you've said it." You deadpanned, to which he responded with a half-hearted hum. Seeing as he wasn't moving any time soon, your shoulders slumped. "I'm sorry, Jack. I'll bring him over as soon as the ten minute mark passes."
It was less than ideal to have to go back to Crewel empty-handed, but there was no convincing Leona when he was hell-bent on doing something. With a defeated sigh, Jack nodded. "I'll be relying on you then, prefect."
If there was one person in NRC who could be deemed trust-worthy, it had to be you. He mentally gave himself a pat on the back before bidding goodbye.
In reality, didn't leave right away. He knew that he shouldn't intrude on his friend's life (let alone his senior's), but curiosity got him in a chokehold. Besides, he needed to make sure that you wouldn't get your wrist torn off if you tried anything else.
"It's quite unfair, actually," you mumbled. "All you do is lie around all day, how do you even pass your classes?"
"Everything the school’s teaching, I’ve already learned back home." Leona's mouth curled into a smirk. "What, are you jealous?"
"As if," you rolled your eyes. As if out of habit, you started smoothing his mane out again. With each gentle stroke, Leona's face relaxed into a peaceful expression, and his ears twitched in what Jack could only identify as delight. You must've noticed it too, because something akin to interest flitted across your feature. Jack's stomach dropped. He had seen that look many times before, and it was a telltale sign of trouble.
After only a bit of hesitation, your outstretched hand moved to touch Leona's fluffy ear. That's it, Jack thought. You'd done it– poked at the hornet’s nest, shoved your hand inside a tiger’s yawning mouth, threw yourself into a river filled with piranhas. It was nice knowing you. There was no way you were going to get away with this.
Leona's eyes shot open, his nose scrunched in annoyance. "Careful where you touch, herbivore."
"Fine. My bad," you removed your hand with great reluctance, returning to dedicate your attention to his hair. The moment carried on as if nothing had happened, and within seconds Leona was already snoring.
What the hell was that. Jack swiveled on his heels and let his legs lead him away. In his head was only thoughts darting around, trying to make sense of why exactly Leona acted so differently towards you. The fact that he had you stay during his sleeping time was already out of character enough, but to let you off after you touched his ear, one of the most sensitive parts of a beastman's body?
There could be something going on here. Jack had a hunch on what it was, but he didn't feel like jumping to conclusions just yet. For now, he should just sit and watch.
At the end of the day, he got caught by Crewel again. It turned out that Leona never showed up for his lesson after all.
2.
It was a breezy afternoon, but for Epel it was hotter than ever on the sports ground. The Magift Club was having its routine training, and everyone was dedicating their best even though it wasn't a real tournament.
His own heartbeat was the only thing he could hear as he dashed towards the opposing team's goal, the golden disk hovering right beside him. Yells and heavy steps followed him, but he was determined not to let his legs give out. Eagerness lurched inside his throat as the net neared, and he angled his arm to throw the disk–
-- only to get thrown off balance by a gust of wind. He landed on his butt with a groan, and looked up to see the disk in the possession of one Savanaclaw student. Cursing under his breath, he swatted the dirt off his knees and dived into action again.
After some more intense chasing and magic being thrown around, he headed with the rest of the team towards the benches, where Leona was sprawled out on a chair, sharp eyes heavy-lidded and coated with sleep. It wouldn't be a surprise if he turned out to have slept through the entire match.
"... Your weakness is that you only know how to charge forward." Leona commented just as Epel was about to take a sip from his water bottle. "You can't improve if you never learn how to look out for ambushes."
"Ah… thank you."
Alright, so maybe he hadn't been out for the count after all. Nonchalantly, Leona shifted into a more comfortable position, his face angled away from Epel. Even if he came off as detached and uncaring most of the time, there were occasions where he would give out short yet valuable advice and prove that he had been keeping an eye on his members. Epel only hoped that he could see the renowned player in action more often. Sadly, it only happened once in a blue moon.
"Ah, look who's here," Ruggie said. Epel followed his gaze and spotted you walking across the field, holding a paper bag large enough to topple you. It wasn't rare that you would drop by and visit. In fact, most of them had been looking forward to you and swarmed you with warm welcomes (presumably because they knew you were hiding snacks in that bag, but Epel decided not to comment on that when his stomach was rumbling too).
"Where's Leona?" You asked once you've given Ruggie a bag of donuts. The grinning hyena jutted his head to the side, "Lazing around as usual. Wanna stay and watch us play?"
You arched your head back and scanned the clock above the rows of seats. "Sure, I have some time to kill." You gave him a thumbs up and made your way towards the chairs at the front.
Epel watched as you kicked Leona's chair to wake him up. He was too far away to hear whatever you were talking about, but you looked pretty close, chatting away with an exchanged chuckle here and there. Even though Leona still looked sleep-laden, he rested his head on his fist and kept his eyes on you the whole time.
One was his club leader, and the other was his close friend. He was starting to wonder how you two had become so close when Ruggie threw his arm around his frame. "Time for round two! What, you still haven't finished the cookies? Need some help?"
Epel quickly shoved them inside his mouth. "No fran qu (no thank you)!"
Everyone had already spread out in two teams when Leona promptly stood up from his humble 'throne' and stepped onto the field. "Wait. You, swap with me."
The second-year student in question pointed at himself and blinked.
Leona frowned. "Do I need to repeat myself?"
"N-no!" The student ran off with his tail literally between his legs. Epel's eyes followed the man as he made his way to the front of the opposing team, stretching his muscled limbs.
The match started as soon as you blew the whistle. If Leona actually getting on the field was out of the ordinary, then him putting effort in playing was enough to leave one flabbergasted and dumbfounded. He didn't even have to lift a finger to weave his way through the wall of opponents. Yet, as Epel watched on, he couldn't help but feel both amazed and startled at the same time.
Amazed, because Leona really lived up to his name as one of the top players among the long list of magic schools. He was quick on his feet, never letting anyone so much as touch the hem of his shirt as he flashed past defenses. In fact, his moves were so unpredictable and fast that whatever formations that had been discussed dissolved within moments as everyone scrambled to block him. But that was not all– he was tactical. One moment he was making others chase him so that he could sweep them away with one single hit, the other he was planting traps on the ground and sneering as they fell victim. It was like he could predict everyone's move.
There was no chance of beating him even if he had his eyes closed all the way. Though Epel's eyes were trained on the lone figure, he could hear your voice booming across the field.
"Ruggie! Epel! Go get him!"
"Ugh, I'm trying!" Epel clenched his jaw and rushed forward, shouting as he prepared to launch a sneak attack from behind– then Leona turned his head and smirked.
–
It only took fifteen minutes for Leona to render everyone useless. Epel dragged himself towards the benches and dropped himself carelessly, limbs sprayed out as he tried to catch his breath.
"Did you have to go that harsh on them?" You said as Leona returned with nary a bead of sweat. There was a touch of playful reprimand in your voice.
"They need to be humbled once in a while lest they become too full of themselves."
You two moved somewhere else, the air carrying your words away. The temporary silence was replaced by Ruggie's wheezes. "Jeez- lemme catch my breath. That was hell."
"I know right," Epel answered weakly. "Do you think Leona-san joined because we weren’t doing good enough?"
"Please, he wouldn't bother," there were sounds of a paper bag being rustled. A moment later, Ruggie spoke up again, this time with food in his mouth. "The answer is pretty simple, actually. Why do you think he worked so hard out there?"
"...He wanted to kick our asses?"
"Nah, that's too much trouble. If he wanted to kick your ass he would've asked me to do it." Epel wasn't sure what to feel about that information. "The truth is- he just wanted to show off, duh."
Epel craned his head so he was facing Ruggie. "Show off? To whom?"
"C'mon. Just see for yourself."
He did as told, scanning the place and eventually spotting you still talking to Leona, this time playfully shoving at his arm at something he had said. There was this look on his face that Epel couldn't put a name to. He'd seen it on someone else though: Sebek as he gushed about Malleus, Rook as he read a magazine with Vil's face printed on the cover, Cater when he came across something Magicam-worthy. Epel knew exactly what these displayed feelings were, but then it would mean that–
"Leona-san worked us to the bone just so he could impress the prefect?" Epel all but barked out the accusation. Ruggie giggled at his reaction and shrugged, leaving the boy even more exasperated. That wasn't really the point, but irritance was clouding his senses at that time. It was only until he was back in his room and lying in bed that he would start to connect the dots and let out a loud, stunned gasp.
3.
The café near NRC had been flooded with customers all day, and the queue only lengthened as time passed. Cater squeezed his dry eyes shut, having scrolled on his phone the whole time he was waiting outside.
Ever since a famed influencer on Magicam had complimented this café in a post, it had been getting all the hype. Cater couldn’t miss out on the fun, even if everything on the menu was too saccharine for his liking.
After what felt like millennia, he finally got inside the shop. It looked like pink had vomited all over the walls, but it should look aesthetic enough for the folks on Magicam. Cater spotted a vacant seat by the window and rushed towards it. From the corner of his eyes he could see a man heading in the same direction.
“Shit-“ the man cussed as he tripped.
“Ah, my bad.” Cater raised his hands and stepped away. The man muttered something under his breath and looked up. The seat had already been taken by the… same man that had just run into him?
Cater chuckled quietly as the man looked around the shop, then back at him again. His unique magic really came in handy sometimes.
He ordered the most famous dishes and turned to his phone again. Perhaps he would give them to those adorable first-years later, or just send them all to Trey.
After a while, even the endless scrolling came to an end. Cater pressed on the home button and waited for the page to refresh. Emerald eyes wandered lazily around the room, rounding when he caught sight of a familiar figure.
If it was any other person, Cater would’ve thought that his eyes had deceived him, but there was no mistaking those ears and long tail. That was definitely Leona Kingscholar, standing in queue with his hands shoved inside his pockets. Much like Cater, he was still in school uniform, and the look of irritance on his face made him stand out like a sore thumb in this sugary world.
Just what could he be doing here? Cater knew that the man wasn’t particularly into sweets and pastries. He definitely wasn’t one to follow trends either. Not to mention that he had zero media presence… unless he had a private account?
Leona’s tail flicked. The man in front of him suddenly crossed his foot in front of the other and stumbled out of the queue. Leona quickly stepped up and silenced whatever the man was going to say with a glare.
In the corner of the café, Ruggie’s shoulders shook with laughter.
Even with underhand methods, there was only so much the two could do to shorten the waiting time. It took another fifteen minutes for them to finally get to the counter. Cater watched with intrigue as the barista stuffed two well-loved red velvet cakes into a white box and handed it to Leona.
Ruggie quickly finished one of them as soon as he got his hands on it, and Cater read ‘worth the effort’ from his lips movement. The two left with the untouched piece sitting peacefully inside the box.
Well, that was something. Cater shook his head and started snapping pictures of the desserts that had arrived moments ago. To think that Leona of all people would wait in line just for a piece of cake… his thoughts went on as he mindlessly typed out a caption. Could it have been for someone else ?
Nah. No way. He couldn’t imagine Leona ever lifting a finger for anyone other than himself.
Night was already creeping on the horizon by the time he finally finished posting. The walk back school was accompanied by more scrolling. The prefect’s profile icon popped up in the ‘story’ section. Cater clicked in without a second thought.
It was a photo of a red velvet cake. The red velvet cake. The text above it read ‘pleasant surprise from an unlikely party!’
Within moments, he was already scanning the entire photo like a detective. There, in the right corner, was a tail. No doubt about it. And he knew the tail— he had just watched its owner spend nearly half an hour lining up in the cafe.
"Now isn't this an interesting discovery…?" Mischief passed over his eyes for a split second, his legs picking up the pace. It seemed that desserts wouldn't be the only thing he would be delivering today.
4.
It was nothing out of the norm for Leona to spend Monday afternoons napping under the tall apple tree. In fact, he went there so routinely that he might as well become one with the background.
Today, though, something had changed. Or as Rook would call it, love was in the air, because under the tree were two figures in lieu of one.
You were sitting cross-legged against the trunk, sheets laid out around you like a protective shield. Every once in a while, Leona’s tail would mess them up, and if you berated him he would feign innocence.
“Come on Leona, you’re the only one who can help me with this.” You nudged his knee.
Rook squinted, his eyes locking onto the documents. There, on the top of what seemed to be the cover page, read ‘Sunset Savanna’.
Ah, a history project then.
“Ask Ruggie.”
“I would if he wasn’t busy doing your duties. So you’re stuck with me.”
Leona made a low grumbling noise, but Rook noted that his face showed no sigh of annoyance. How unfair! The first few times Rook approached the beastman during his nap, he received nothing less than distasteful glares and venomous threats.
One more evidence supporting his hypothesis.
“Fine. You have five minutes to ask questions.”
A smile bloomed on your face, one that Leona didn’t fail to catch. It was only a flash, easily overlooked, but Rook saw it crystal clear— the subtle tenderness intruding on his scowl. It disappeared as quickly as it’d come.
“Alright. So what’s Sunset Savannah like?”
“Hot.”
You heaved a sigh. “You’re not cooperating here.”
“Maybe your questions are too vague, herbivore.”
“Ugh- fine! Let’s start with the people. Do you guys have a mascot or something?”
Leona shifted so he was lying on his side, left arm propped up with his head resting on his palm. “There’s this warthog and meerkat everyone loves. They’re supposed to be related to the King of Beasts. Personally though, I couldn't care less.”
"How about something that cannot be found anywhere else?”
“Mm. Hot spring eggs,”
“You guys have hot springs?” With the way your eyes twinkled with interest, Leona couldn’t help but give in.
“No, it’s a volcano…”
Your ‘interview’ stretched out for far longer than five minutes, eventually jumping from general knowledge to Leona’s own experience with the place he grew up at.
“Sure, the sunset is beautiful, but the real show begins when night falls. All kinds of stars come out, perfect for sentimental beings like you.”
“I don’t believe that you’ve never looked at them before.” You challenged.
Leona scoffed, reaching to scratch the back of his ear. “Only as a kid. It gets boring.”
“The privilege is showing, your highness,” you sighed wistfully, angling your head so you were gazing at the bright sky. “I wish we had stars here too.”
“If you really want to see them, I can bring you there next time.”
Your face lightened up.
“Of course, it comes with a price.”
You rolled your eyes. “And what will it be?”
A dismissive hum. “I’ll decide later.”
“I’ll be looking forward to it then.” You started packing your things, missing the way Leona’s tail swished. Even if you had noticed, you probably wouldn’t have understood what it meant. Rook tittered into his palm as he watched on.
“Leaving so soon? I expected more questions,” Leona said.
“I'd rather not get on your bad side by keeping you away from your precious nap. I’ll come to you if I need anything—“ your words were interrupted with a sharp hiss. In your careless movements, the paper managed to slice through your skin, leaving a stinging cut.
Leona picked up the smell immediately, his eyes trained on your finger. The slit was unnoticeable at first, but red eventually started to bloom around it.
“Tsk. How careless are you?” He jumped onto his feet and snatched your hand, observing the cut. Your eyes danced between his face and the wound, much like a flustered rabbit.
“It's just a cut.” You started, trying to hide your hand. But his grip on you was strong, albeit not enough to hurt.
“No it's not. You could get an infection and end up troubling me again. I’ll get you bandaged up.” He began walking with his hand still holding your wrist, pulling you along.
You took advantage of the situation and dived into another round of questions for your project, and Leona, irritated that he might seem, answered them accordingly.
As the two of you neared the building Rook was in, his eyes suddenly shot up, practically shooting daggers at a particular window.
“What’s it?” You stood on your tiptoes. There was no one behind the glass.
His features remained hardened for a moment before he relaxed his shoulders. “…Nothing. You were sayin’?”
Rook waited a few seconds to reemerge again. Although you’d already vanished from sight, he had already gathered all that he needed: the lion had been captivated by none other than the magic-less prefect, and he barely needed his instincts and observations as a hunter to confirm that.
5.
It wasn’t that you hated group work. If anything, you enjoyed having someone share the workload. But when your group mates were none other than the red & blue duo from Heartslabyul plus a cat-shaped trouble magnet, you would really rather be left alone.
“We should make a body swapping potion. I bet it’ll be fun if Riddle and Floyd exchanged personalities.” Ace suggested with that look of his that often preceded undesired circumstances. You were heading to your next class along with the wave of students in the corridor.
“Can you please take this test seriously? I can’t get another fail!” Deuce slapped the back of Ace’s head, causing the redhead to stagger forward. A few students turned their heads around in curiosity, but most were already familiar with the two's antics.
Crewel had given each group the mission to brew from scratch one of the potions mentioned in the textbook as a part of the term test, not knowing what a mistake it was to leave the power of decision-making to you lot.
“How about a potion that can make all food taste like Tuna?” Grim asked, tail brushing your neck as he perched himself on your shoulder.
“Just ask Trey to do that for you.” You commented, not bothering to look up from the testbook in your hands.
“You’re right, henchman! Let’s go right now!”
“Focus on the test first, will you?” Ace was the one to complain this time, earning a hiss from Grim.
“Let’s narrow it down to potions that are easy to make. It’ll be more convenient if the ingredients can be acquired in the botanical garden.” Deuce went around the bickering duo to peek over your shoulder.
The mention of the botanical garden reminded you of a certain lazy lion. Being caught up in the test had kept you from meeting Leona in your free time. In fact, you hadn’t seen him for a whole week already. It didn’t help that he was in another year and had entirely different classes.
Perhaps you could pay him a visit later, but it’s not as if he would miss you or something. A foreign sadness crept up on you. You shook the thought off and opted to focus on the book instead.
It seemed that fate preferred otherwise, because a gust of wind carried Ruggie's laughter to you, followed by a gruntle from– speak of the devil– Leona. Your eyes were already searching for him through the passing crowd before you could contain your curiosity. The lurch in your chest told a lot more than you were willing to admit.
Leona, on the contrary, didn't need to search at all. His sharp eyes landed on you with infallible precision, as unreadable as ever. If it had been anyone else, you would've raised your hand and greeted them with energy, but this was the same person who once walked past you as though you were a mere stranger, leaving your open palm hanging in the air. As an attempt to preserve your dignity, you decided to avert your eyes.
Anyways, since when did Leona of all people go to classes?
Your heartbeat succumbed to a deafening rhythm the closer he got. Half hopeful and half desperate to suppress it, you held your breath the moment he was close enough that your shoulders touched.
As expected, he did not greet or even address you in any way. But there was something soft touching your cheek, the suddenness making your eye twitch in surprise. It caressed your face almost gently before cool air took its place.
You turned just in time to catch Leona's tail retreating.
–
Engrossed in the contents of the book, you missed all the meaningful gazes being shot around by your friends. Ace and Deuce had been at it for some time, while Grim pretended to understand.
Deuce was positive that he wasn’t on the same channel as Ace. Just earlier, when he’d caught Leona’s tail poking your face, he shot a quick look at Ace. A raised brow, a glance towards you, then back to Ace. It was supposed to mean ‘Did you catch that?’, and Ace took it as ‘Wanna ambush the prefect?’
The resulted mayhem when Ace tackled you was something you never wanted to bring up again.
Now Deuce wasn’t sure what went on between you and the fearsome leader of Savanaclaw, but Ace had an idea or two. Epel and Jack had both commented offhandedly about the weird atmosphere that surrounded you two. Deuce was present both times, but it'd probably flew right over his head.
Deuce wriggled his brows. Do you have any idea?
Ace mirrored him. Dude, what even is that supposed to mean?
Grim’s feigned participation was cut short when he caught sight of two familiar figures entering the canteen. “Hey! What is that sleepyhead doing here?”
All three of you snapped your heads towards the entrance. There stood the spotlight of their discussion, Leona, in his usual rumpled form, half-awake daze, sharp fangs catching the chandelier’s light as he yawned.
“First he heads to class, now he’s coming to the canteen himself. What’s up with that guy?” Grim gasped dramatically. “Is he plotting something again?”
“He’s not,” you came to his defense with suspicious rapidness. “Plus, what is there to plot about?”
“Mm. You have a point, henchman.”
“Alright,” Ace held his fist out. “Loser buys lunch. Rock paper scissors!”
Grim let out a shrill laugh as Deuce stared at his sole open palm in defeat. It wasn’t your fault that he only ever played paper.
While your cat proceeded to go off on a tangent the today's menu, you gazed over at the growing masses of students.
“So,” Ace craned his head. “Have you chosen the potion or are we going with body swapping?”
“Or the tuna one!”
“Neither.” You tore your eyes away and turned the book around. “We’re making a flower-growing potion—“
They groaned loudly.
“—because it’s easy to make. Do you want to pass or not?” You insisted.
“I would rather be well-fed! Flowers are stu- FNNGA!”
Grim jumped a good feet in the air when someone slammed their lunch on your table, his fur standing tall in alert. Leona sank onto Deuce’s seat, while Ruggie took the spot next to Ace. “You should try to be gentler, Leona-san.”
Before the lion could answer, Grim stood up and yelled, “Hey! That’s Deuce’s seat!”
“Yea? He’s tiny enough to squeeze in somewhere.” Leona said nonchalantly. There was a curiously excessive amount of meat in his dish. After a beat, he turned to you. “What’re you up to?”
Ace resisted the urge to tell him off, preferring to indulge in your interaction to preserve Deuce’s interests.
“Potion test. What, have you missed me?”
“A lil’ bit.”
That seemed to catch you off-guard. Ace snorted in his attempt to hold in a laugh, and received a kick under the table from Ruggie.
As you tried to come up with a response, he leaned in and grabbed your book. “Making something?”
“The one for growing flowers. Its ingredients are the easiest to find.”
“Ah. I know where you can find them in the botanical garden. I’ll show you later.” He closed the book and slid it across the table.
“Wouldn’t I be invading your precious rest?”
“Then you’ll just have to catch up and be quick.”
Just then, Deuce returned with an expression twisted between confusion and betrayal. Ace barely felt guilt-- there were many things he had to discuss with Deuce (and Grim, though he seemed ignorant).
For now, he just let the pouting boy squeeze in beside him and quietly observed Leona and you throughout lunch, utilizing whatever knowledge he had about love to analyze the situation. He picked up on the way you took Leona’s vegetables without having to ask and how you slapped his hand away when he reached for the meat on your plate. Occasionally he would throw in a snarky comment that aimed to drive you up and wall, and smirk when it succeeded.
And those looks, sevens. If Ace had to watch for a minute longer he might have to puke in his lunch. He reckoned that he’d already seen enough before turning to address Deuce, who was still hung up on his seat being taken.
It felt great, holding this kind of knowledge over you. If he played his cards right, he might even get some benefits out of it.
“Dude, what’s with that creepy smirk on your face?” Ruggie pointed out suddenly.
Ace shrugged, “Nothing. You’ll know sooner or later.”
6.
Ruggie was the first to know.
Leona had been upfront and rather transparent about his feelings, but the hyena had long before noticed the shifts in Leona’s attitude towards you. It was hard not to when he was the one kicking him awake and dragging him to class everyday. Leona's actions spoke a lot more than words could, and the occasional passing glances were impossible to ignore.
When Ruggie confronted him about it, he admitted it while making it sound as casual as he could. Ruggie never for a second bought his nonchalance.
And it was great, knowing that his dorm leader wasn’t a stone-cold heartless jerk. It was both leverage and great material for teasing even when Leona would threaten to tape his mouth shut.
That was until the people came in. First it was Jack, then it was Epel, then the many other friends and acquaintances who wanted first-hand information on Leona’s love life. Even underclassmen whom he’d only seen around campus approached him. At first it was a great source of income— nothing came without a price after all— but when it began to interfere with his work, it didn’t feel so satisfying anymore.
If Leona would just make it official, it would make Ruggie’s life so much easier. But no, that lion was so stubborn that he hadn’t even confessed his feelings yet. And he doubted that you were any wiser.
Now Ruggie knew better than to stick his nose where he didn’t belong. There were countless ways in which things could go wrong and he really didn’t want to be on the receiving end of Leona’s wrath. Yet if they went right, he could get those nosy students off his back and end the torture of seeing you dance around each other like two dumbasses.
No, he wasn’t concerned about your (or Leona’s, for that matter) love life at all. He just wanted Leona to spend more time with you so he could catch a break.
Plus it’d put Leona in a good mood, and that’s really all he could ask for.
As usual, Leona’s room was disheveled when Ruggie entered, a chess board lying at the end of the bed while its rightful owner was snoozing, wrapped inside a blanket like a burrito. With light steps he lurked further in, inhaled deeply, and flung the file toward the sleeping lion with all his might.
Leona’s hand shot out from the blanket and caught the document mid-air. “What did I say about interrupting my naps, Bucchi?”
“That I should never wake you even if the sky’s falling down?”
As Leona stretched his limbs after the satisfying rest, the bed seemed to shrink in comparison. “You better have a good reason then.” He said mid-yawn, opening the file to read the papers inside. He was supposed to pick them up from Crowley, but decided that they weren’t important enough to warrant his presence.
Well, here goes nothing. “I take it that you haven’t heard then.”
“Heard what.”
“That the prefect is leaving soon,” Ruggie walked around the room to pick up the miscellaneous items on the floor, unfazed under the lion’s relentless glare. “Crowley found a way to send them back to wherever they came from. They’ve already started packin’, emptying the building and all.”
The silence was heavy. A heavy cloak of tension draped over the room.
“No,” Leona turned in his bed. “If they really were leaving, they would’ve told me.”
“Yea, but why?” Ruggie pushed, stifling a titter at the way Leona's tail swayed to and fro in growing agitation. “It’s not like you’re close or anything.”
Leona opened his mouth, closed it, opened it again. A laugh startled out of him. “You’re fucking with me, Bucchi. Don’t think I don’t know what you’re doing.”
"Whatever, man. I've said all I have to say." Ruggie took a peek of his meticulously concealed expression. It didn't matter that he wouldn't believe it now. He'd planted a fear in his heart, and fear was a vicious, powerful thing. He did one more round around the room, decided that Leona wasn't going to say anything else, and headed for the door.
“Y’know, I’m just saying, but we don’t know when, or if they will come back, so maybe you should get off that— okay! Stop throwing shit at me! ” Ruggie scurried out with his tail between his legs, cursing under his breath.
“The things I do for these dumbasses… they better pay me ten donuts if it works– no, twenty!”
—
The blanket was starting to feel constricting. Leona kicked it off of him and reluctantly opened his eyes, now wide awake and ruminating on what Ruggie had just said.
You're leaving.
He rolled over and turned on his phone– something he almost never did. There were over a hundred unread emails and messages, mostly from home, but he ignored them all and found your contact after some scrolling. The last time you'd texted had been about his absence at the prefects' meeting, and he'd left you on read. In fact, the conversations were mostly one-way, with occasional 'ok's and insincere emojis dispersed on his side of the screen.
It wasn't that you didn't talk a lot. You usually met up in person, and if he really needed you, he could just call you, though that was not an usual occurrence.
"It's not like you're close or anything."
His eyes flew up to your status. Last online: 6 hours ago. His thumb hovered over the keyboard, then retreated.
So what if you were really leaving? It shouldn't matter to him. You were just someone he tolerated more than most, and he'd known from the beginning that you didn't belong here. There had always been an expiration date on your stay. The horror of you suddenly vanishing from his life shouldn't be this hollowing.
But it was very, very hollowing, and very, very real. Perhaps a part of him had always thought that everything would stay the same– you and him here, where he was far enough from home that he could forget his empty, meaningless title as the second prince, the unwanted son, where he could rest knowing that nothing, and no one, could take you away from him.
Maybe he was wrong. Maybe there was nothing he could do, and he was destined to lose you the way he'd lost everything he'd ever wanted to someone else.
Or maybe– there was a tiny voice at the back of his head– maybe he still wanted to try and fight against it, as pointless as it sounded. Deep down, he only knew two things: that he would never forgive himself if he just let you slip away, and that you were always worth trying for.
Stupid herbivore, always planting this stupid hope in his heart.
He all but hopped off the bed, and pointedly ignored Ruggie's smirk as he made a run for the mirror chamber.
Trapped on all sides with arms so sore you could barely lift them up, you reckoned that the decision to deal with all this by yourself was a great mistake.
There was old and new furniture occupying the spaces around you, and some more that were stuck on the porch, all demanding your attention. You’d naively thought that the unpacking and moving would take no time. And now it was dusk already, and you’d barely gone through half of the deliveries.
After what had probably been months of requesting and protesting, Crowley finally allowed you to buy some new furniture for your dorm with the school’s money. It’d felt like winning a long, taxing battle, finally able to bid farewell to the drawers that wouldn’t open and the chairs that wobbled.
It was all fine until the furniture came. You’d been in class when the driver rang, and by the time you returned, he'd already left, leaving the heavy boxes outside the door.
Perhaps you really should’ve called some friends from Savanaclaw that were strong enough to help. Jack, for one. Maybe even the unmotivated dorm leader. Anyone would be a much better help than Grim, really, who was probably outside the building trying to claw his way into the unopened boxes.
In the midst of your wallowing, you failed to pick up Grim’s sharp yell, only the slam of the front door that shook the whole building. A scolding formed on your tongue, but quickly dissolved when you heard heavy footsteps come up the stairs. Squeezing your way through the furnishings, you poked your head out of your room and waited.
The stomps came closer, stopped. A pause later, Leona came around the corner, mane disheveled and eyes flying around, almost in panic. When they landed on you, his shoulders sank in relief.
“Leona? Wh-”
“Thank the sevens,” He marched up to you in a few strides, and when he’s close enough, his arms suspended in the air, reaching for a part of you that he could touch. After a long moment, he stuck them back to his sides.
Emerald eyes landed on the disastrous scene inside the room, especially the emptied shelves and belongings piled in a corner. Something strained passed over his features.
Once you got over the initial shock, you remembered what you’d just been thinking of. “Hey, now that you're here, do you think you can help me move-”
“Don’t leave.”
You blinked. “What?”
He clicked his tongue in annoyance, brows knitted in a frown. “Don’t make me say it again… I can’t believe you decided to keep me in the dark.”
You looked inside the room and back at him. “I mean, it’s not that big of a deal.”
“What if it is for me?” With a gentle hesitation that you’d never seen him exhibit, he reached for your hand. Your heart skipped when he brought your knuckles to his lips, his gaze solely focused on you. He’d always loved lingering around your personal space, but not like this. Not with his feelings being put on display, like a show you weren’t supposed to see.
“I came here in such a rush that I didn’t even have time to think over what to say. Just…” he closed his eyes. “Reconsider your leave. Please. Or at the very least, stay for a few more weeks. You can’t just stumble into my life and leave without a sign. I don’t even want to imagine returning to a life without you. For this once, I need you to choose me.”
And then, as if realizing his unusual display of vulnerability, his face hardened up. “...Look, I rarely ask anything of anyone. Whatever deadly grip you have on me, you gotta be responsible for it.”
You sucked in a breath, processing his abrupt spill of feelings, before lowering your head. For a moment he took the trembling of your shoulders as you crying, but soon enough he recognized the peals of laughter that fell out of you. If he hadn’t just laid his heart out in front of you, he would’ve taken the time to indulge in the sound that he loved so much.
“Is this funny?” He scowled.
“Mm. No,” you jutted your head towards your room. “Did you think I was leaving?”
Confusion passed over his face. “Of course. You have everything packed, and Crowley…”
He trailed off, the gears in his head turning. Suddenly it all became clear to him. The new stuff laying around. The absence of your clingy friends. The simple fact that no one seemed to know that you were 'leaving'. After a moment, something akin to fury dawned on his expression. “…has never actually been helpful. Damn it, Bucchi.”
Your heart dipped when he removed his hand from around your wrist, ruffling his long locks. “Just a house makeover then. Got it. Forget about it. Bye.”
“Wait, no!” You rushed in front of him, blocking his exit. “What about all the stuff you just said?”
He raised a brow, feigning ignorance, and earned a roll of your eyes, “Well, I’m not letting them slide. I’m not going anywhere, at least not yet.” You thought for a moment. “The truth is, I haven’t decide if I want to leave. I’ve built so much around here that it’ll just be like leaving another home. But if it soothes you, I’m sure the day I have to choose is still far away from us. So, in the meantime…” You reached for his hand in the same manner, kissing the knot of his knuckle. His ears twitched, giving away his carefully concealed emotions. “Let me be responsible for the turmoils in your heart?”
“About damn time.” Leona moved in, this time landing the kiss on your lips, and his smile spread into it easily, like a lovesick lover returning home.
Summary: Scenario/short scenario where Leona gets a special tattoo from his Tattoo Artist!S/O who thinks the tattoo fits him and thinks it would be the best thing ever to make a tattoo for the Leona Kingscholar.
Pairing: Leona Kingscholar x Tattoo Artist!GN!S/O.
CW: Fluff, grammatical error, OOC.
A/N: cz my req is open, i’ll do it now JMGFAHFBWMHFBA THIS IS CUTE ପ(๑•ᴗ•๑)ଓ ♡ Imagine having a matching tattoo w/ him AEMHFAVBMFBAWMF (*ᴗ͈ˬᴗ͈)ꕤ*.゚ I HOPE U LIKE THIS- Umm ig this turns out 2 be weird SDKJHSMDBGSMDHGB
Creating art is not just through a paint brush and apply it to a canvas. People can apply the art on their bodies, create a body art or tattoo. Tattoo artist allows people to express their emotions, beliefs through body art.
As a tattoo artist itself, you have gone through a lot of experiences, both in creating tattoos and handling the customers. Customers are also humans, there are times where they share their stories while they get a tattoo from you.
But what if you manage to make or create a tattoo for a special person? That person is popular among the society and aristocracy lives, especially their own country. Someone like him, the Leona Kingscholar.
Imagine you are the one who make a tattoo on his body. As a tattoo artist who’s not the most talented person in Twisted Wonderland, it is such an honor to create one for someone special, especially him.
Let’s see if he accepts your offer or not. Perhaps, he would accept it. You explicate your offer to him, of course, he can choose or create his own design for it. The lion sends out a confused expression. But when he asks you why you offer him such a thing, you say you want to tattoo him, the Leona Kingscholar.
Your answer is unique, makes him happy, yet confusing.
Why you choose him over those royal people out there? Herbivore, you can offer that lizardas well, Malleus Draconia. The crown prince is more popular than him, it would be a magnificent achievement to tattoo the Malleus Draconia, wouldn't it?
Instead of the crown prince of Briar Valley, you choose the SECOND-BORN PRINCE of Afterglow Savannah. The second-born who is disliked by the palace staff both for his aloof personality and his destructive unique magic.
It's not that he's not happy with your offer, it's just that he's confused about why you chose him. If you think of him as such a high aristocrat person and a special person, who is he to decline such a belief?
Leona sighs, perhaps it’s not a bad idea to get another tattoo from a herbivore like you. It’s a great idea as well, to have a tattoo from a special person. But remember, he wants the tattoo to be perfect, S/O!
“Fine, but fulfil my expectation, herbivore~”
His words might sound pretty bad, but he doesn’t care if it’s perfect or not! It’s your creation, your hard work, Leona knows when people work hard but doesn’t get any compliments. So yes, you’ll still receive some compliments from him. In a tsundere way.
After a lot of consultations with him about the design, it’s finally the d-day where you’ll create a body art for the Leona Kingscholar. Excited, aren’t you, herbivore? The Great Seven wish you good luck, dear!
Is it just you or him, or perhaps us think he’ll sleep during the progress? Either sleep or just close his eyes. The lion enjoys it! Do not worry, he’ll give you a head pat after it finishes.
Afterall, you do something for him and it’s your creation! He’s very AMAZED by the result. Hey, didn’t know you’re such an amazing tattoo artist, S/O. The way his tail moves merrily and his ears twitch cutely when he sees the result.
Gosh, do you know that he’s going to show off the result to the public? Not with words, with actions. Leona wears something or does something that makes him show off the tattoo. Check out his latest tattoo! It’s his S/O’s creation! Yes, look at how talented his herbivore is!
It’s the most precious creation to him from his beloved herbivore.
Omg I loved this so much I cried. Amazing job @kokoebi , I would love to see this scenario again with the remaining dorm leaders Riddle, Azul, Kalim and Vil please ❤️❤️💟💟💟
Can you do a seperate headcanons or maybe a scenarios for Idia, Malleus and Leona that their fem! reader, please? (im craving angst but ofc with comfort too! <3)
Reader wanted the boys introduced reader's parents, after that reader's parents told reader that they already have choosen a "perfect partner" for reader and also to marry. reader refused of their parent's suggestion, because they already have a love of their life, then reader's parents getting mad/angry and suddenly pointed out like "why would you choose him!? what's so special about him??" , they suddenly pointed out their negative opinions or thoughts towards to the boys that make him insecure or hurt (like he have "cursed family", awful attitude, or a monster, etc..).
But reader suddenly snapped and defended their boyfriend and also spitting them some postive facts or opinion of their boyfriend in the end reader also mentioned like "I dont care about what you think about him, i love him you can't change my mind! I still love him just the way he is!" after that they left their parents with the boys cuz is pissed what they said towards of their boyfriend. What would the boys reacted or would say when they hear all what their darling said right in front of them.
— IDIA SHROUD °•.
You felt a gentle squeeze on your hand, as you and your boyfriend Idia approached the front door to your house. He was nervous, to say the least, having spent all week dreading this event.
From the moment you told him you wanted him to meet your parents, he barely got a wink of sleep. How could he possibly do so when all he could think about was how much they would hate him..? He'd come to expect this from every social interaction due to his crippling social anxiety, even when it came to you, he still had his doubts, so naturally, meeting your parents felt like a huge weight on him, and he spent the whole week unable to get his depressing thoughts out of his head.
You tried your best to reassure him, of course. But in situations like this, the only guarantee you could really give him was that you'd be there by his side, and he would never be alone when meeting your parents. He would have your support.
And those words did help! However... Now that you were here.. he wasn't so sure anymore. All his insecurities were coming back, and all he could do was desperately cling to your hand like his life depended on it. His palm was slightly sweaty from how nervous he was, which he had repeatedly apologized for, but you didn't mind. Anything to protect your perfect boyfriend.
When you rang the doorbell, Idia could practically hear his heartbeat, from how hard and fast it was getting. "I want to go home..." He thought to himself, shutting his eyes momentarily when he heard the door being opened.
Your mother smiled as soon as you were in view, "Y/N! Hello, sweetheart... I'm so happy to see you. And hello...?" She looked over at the the boy shyly standing next to you, not failing to notice that you were both holding hands. Idia didn't dare to make eye contact with your mother. "I..I-Idia..." He said quietly. Your mother blinked a couple times before repeating it, "Idia? Is that what you said?" She asked, raising an eyebrow at how quiet he sounded. Idia didn't bring his tablet to speak, you woke him up in somewhat of a rush, since both of you overslept, so he forgot it when he rushed out with you..
He nodded at your mother, who motioned for you two to step inside. "I see... Nice to meet you, Idia. You're awfully shy, aren't you?" She said. She seemed to want to sound playful, but it ended up coming off as rather cold instead, which made Idia flinch slightly, gripping your hand a little harder.
You frowned a little at the tone and caressed Idia's hand gently, walking inside with him after he tried really hard to apologize for his shyness, but he couldn't really do so. You could tell he didn't feel comfortable at all...
Your mother guided the two of you to the living room, where your father was watching TV. He turned it off when he saw the three of you walk in, "Y/N!" He smiled at you. "And this is?" He looked over at Idia, who was examining the room anxiously. Your mother looked at him and sighed softly, almost inaudibly, before turning her attention back to her husband, "His name is Idia. He's a little shy, so he might not answer." She smiled a little.
You didn't find her remark pleasant at all. You raised an eyebrow, but refrained from saying anything. For now. Meanwhile, Idia seemed to almost have a death grip on your hand at this point. It was the only thing keeping him from hyperventilating at this point. The tension of the air around his very presence was too much for him to handle. Your touch was an anchor for him to stay grounded and not let his unpleasant thoughts go too far.
You decided to talk, finally, as you moved to the other, smaller couch your parents had in the living room. It perfectly fit two people so you and your boyfriend sat there together. Somehow, sitting down on the couch made Idia feel at least a little bit safer, he didn't feel as exposed as he had felt while standing. "Idia is my boyfriend, actually.." you tried to muster up a smile, but it was hard considering your mother's tone on her previous comments about your fiery-haired lover.
Your parents blinked a couple times, looking at each other, then back at the two of you... Somehow, they were expecting this, considering you walked in holding hands, but were still surprised nonetheless. "Your boyfriend? Ah..." Your mother said. She glanced over at your father, wondering if she should be the one to tell you, or if he wanted to take over. Your father gave her a little nod, indicating that he'd be the one speaking this time.
"Actually, your mother and I had an announcement to make, Y/N. When you said you'd bring a friend, well... That's all we thought it was." He said, "We found someone for you. A man of a respectable family.." he glanced over at Idia as he started describing him, as if to judge your current boyfriend while describing your potentially future one. Idia didn't fail to take notice of this... His nerves were rising and his breathing was getting heavier and faster.. He couldn't possibly grip your hand any harder without hurting you, so he was really doing his best to restrain himself.
"He's a very handsome man, his family is rather wealthy as well, you'll be able to live a very comfortable life with him." Your father's eyes darted back to you. "We're currently starting a plan to arrange your and his marriage." His lips formed into a contented smile.
You, however, couldn't believe your ears. They arranged a relationship between you and someone you had never met? They were already planning for you two to get married even? And all of this without asking you for your permission, without even consulting you... And on top of all that, they really thought it was appropriate to say all of this in front of Idia, who was already clearly and very visibly uncomfortable? You certainly didn't expect this from your parents. They had always supported you. Sure, they had been strict with a lot of things, but you didn't expect them to go this far....
Idia on the other hand... His anxiety was peaking. His eyes now shut tight, his hair hiding part of his face as he desperately tried to control his breathing as well as manage his thoughts properly... But it was hard. It was so difficult when all he could hear in his head was how much your parents disapproved of him...
You clenched your empty fist. "I refuse." your eyes narrowed as you spoke, your tone turned slightly cold although you were trying your best not to borderline disrespect your parents.
"Pardon?" Your mother said, her eyes widening only a little after hearing your blunt answer.
"Your heard me correctly. I refuse." You insisted. "If it wasn't clear enough for you, I'm already in love with someone else. I'm not leaving Idia for whoever that other guy is." You were set. There was no way they could convince you or even try to force you into that relationship.
"Excuse me, but what does Idia even have that's so special?" Your mother spat. Ouch. Idia felt that one straight in his heart. "He looks like he hasn't seen the sun in years, he has terrible posture and he's unbelievably rude! He didn't greet us, he barely even looked at us! The bags under his eyes really make me feel like he can't even take care of himself! How could I possibly rest easy when the man you've chosen is a total bum?" She progressively raised her voice as she spoke, and you stared at her, dumbfounded at her language, her tone... Everything..! Even the fact that she seemed perfectly okay with attacking your lovely boyfriend with a barrage of insults! Said boyfriend who was sitting right there.
Idia felt tears threatening to spill out from his eyes. He couldn't handle this. His hearing was already heightened by the pure very unpleasant rush that he felt through his body by simply being there, at that very moment. This was his worst nightmare turned real. A social situation that couldn't possibly have gone worse. He came over, believing you, that everything would be alright, yet here he was, being insulted, being compared.... He didn't blame you, of course, he was sure you didn't think this would happen and that was why you wanted him to come so bad. It was an awful surprise for the two of you... And honestly, he was finding it hard to keep himself together.
You felt his hand shake in yours, and that was it for you. You glared harshly at your mother and you stood up, still holding your boyfriend's hand, which made him look up at you with teary eyes before hiding his face again. He felt pathetic, starting to cry as quietly as possible while you kept your heroic stance. He couldn't stand up for himself... Not like this..
But you could.
"That's enough." You said coldly. "Your words are disgusting. And frankly, the fact you can just so casually talk poorly about my boyfriend who's sitting right here next to me, is even more so. I don't want that stupid relationship you're trying so hard to advertise to me. Idia is special. He's the sweetest guy I've ever met. He's funny, never fails to make me laugh, and you clearly don't think so but I think he's the most handsome, and prettiest guy I've ever set my eyes on." You really had had enough. You were letting everything out. "Do you even know why he looks this tired? Because of how nervous he was to come meet you! And you treat him like this?! When he's clearly uncomfortable, your first thought isn't to make him feel at home, it's to berate him and tell him your shallow opinions when you've never even known him! He's perfect. And I'm not trading him for anyone else. If that makes you so unhappy, then find someone else to marry your "perfect candidate"." You finished, gently pulling Idia's hand. "Idia, come on.. let's leave." Your tone softened significantly when you spoke to him.
He was shocked, to say the least... You really thought all that about him..? And you jumped in to defend him, even against your parents... He felt so loved. His heart was about to burst with happiness and fondness as he really took in your words. He wiped his tears, despite it being in vain at the moment since they kept falling, and he stood up.
Your mother was about to protest, but the glare you shot at her really said enough. She couldn't win, neither could your father. And they knew that.
You walked out with your loving boyfriend without even saying your goodbyes. They didn't deserve them.
Once the two of you were out of sight, which didn't even take a minute, you stopped walking, making him stop with you. His cries had subsided, but some tears were still there. You cupped his cheeks, approaching his face to your and kissing the tip of his nose. "I meant my words back there, hm? You're perfect.. I wouldn't trade you for the world. I'm sorry about my parents... And I'm sorry we didn't leave right away.. I really didn't think they'd go that far. I shouldn't have left your in that position." You apologized, letting go of his face.
Idia shook his head. His breathing was steady again, and he wrapped his arms around you... The tips of his hair flushing pink. "I-It's okay.... Thank you.. for saying that.. and for getting us out of there. I was.. surprised." He confessed. You smiled at him a little, "Surprised? That I love you so much?" He embarrassingly nodded slightly, "Heh. Of course I do. If there's anyone I'll marry, it'll be you, Idia." You noticed his face turning red as the pink spread further into his hair. You always found it so cute... "Come on. Let's go take a nap, you definitely need it... And then let's play some games together if you want, so you can distract yourself a little more."
Idia nodded once again. He pulled away from the embrace and shyly took your hand, intertwining his fingers with yours, "Okay..." He said quietly, starting to walk with you again.
The meeting might have been a failure, but it shed light on just how much freedom your parents were willing to give you. And you'd rather be with the love of your life, chosen by you, than whoever they thought of.
— MALLEUS DRACONIA °•.
Malleus looked around while walking with you around your neighborhood. You had asked him to meet your family, having been dating for quite some time now, you thought it was an appropriate next step to have him meet your parents.
And honestly, your draconic boyfriend was all for it. He was actually rather excited, to no one's surprise, really. He had already previously shown interest in meeting your family, and had brought it up a few times loosely in conversation. So he was looking forward to today ever since you finally invited him.
You were kind of excited too. A little fearful, however. Malleus was big, he had horns, and he could definitely come off as intimidating. After all, it was the reason why so many people never even dared to approach him back in NRC. You felt bad, having known him now and knowing fully well that he's a huge sweetie.
But it was for these reasons that you were a little concerned about your parents' potential reactions.
You two finally arrived at your parents' house, and you rang the doorbell. Malleus was carefully analyzing the architecture of your neighborhood while he waited. He was always so intrigued by his surroundings.
You heard your father shout "Just a moment!". He must have been doing something before you came. You could faintly hear the sounds of plates and utensils. It was nearly dinner time after all.
After a few seconds of waiting and Malleus asking you a couple questions about your home, the door opened and he turned his attention back to it.
As soon as your father saw him, his eyes went wide, glancing up and down at him. Malleus furrowed his eyebrows right away. Was he afraid of him? His suspicions seemed to unfortunately be confirmed when your father averted his gaze nervously and looked back at you instead.
“Y/N-! Hello. It’s nice to see you again.. And it’s nice to meet you too...” he hesitantly looked over at your very tall boyfriend.
“Malleus.” he said, he tried softening his tone, to see if your father would be put more at ease, but it didn’t seem to work.
Your father nodded, and stepped aside, making way for you and Malleus to go inside. He thanked your father for holding the door open, really hoping that over some interactions he would feel more calm around him, but he couldn't help but feel that same feeling he felt at school. That loneliness in being left out.
He followed you, a little absent-mindedly looking at the decorations in your house's walls while you looked for your mother. She was in the dining room, finishing to set the table when she heard your footsteps. She turned around, smiling, "Hello, Y/N!" She said happily. Her smile vanished and her jaw dropped as soon as Malleus stepped out from behind the wall, "Good evening. Nice to meet you, my name is Malleus." He politely introduced himself.
Your mother stumbled a bit with her words, but ultimately found the right ones after a couple moments. "Nice to meet you, Malleus..! Ah, both of you can come have a seat, dinner is almost ready." She turned her attention back to the dishes she was setting down before she went back to the kitchen to help her husband in case he needed anything.
"I think they're afraid of me..." Malleus looked over at you, a slight frown present on his face.
You reach out to his face with a bit of help from him bending down slightly, and you cup his cheeks. "They might be, but once they get to know you a little better, they'll love you... I'm sure of it." You tried reassuring him, and he trusted your words, nodding a bit before you gently pulled away from him.
You two went to wash your hands before sitting at the table and patiently waiting. Malleus took the opportunity to ask you a few more questions about your home, and how things were around, and you were happy to respond.
It wasn't long before your parents came back into the living room with a couple different pots and pans in hand, setting them down on the bases so they wouldn't directly touch the tablecloth.
"We made your favorite." your father smiled at you, uncovering the food.
They served you, Malleus, and then each other, and now you were all sitting and eating together.
You decided to speak, since you felt a little bad to only properly introduce him now. You were happy yet hesitant that he was letting you be the one to break the news to your parents. "Mom, dad." You started, and they looked at you. "Ah.. well, you see. I invited Malleus to come with me today, because.. I wanted to introduce him to you.. He's my boyfriend." You were a little awkward in the beginning of the sentence but gradually gained more confidence in your words.
Your mother's eyes widened, she blinked and looked at Malleus, then back at you.. "Excuse me? He's your boyfriend?" To be honest, she kind of expected it and didn't at the same time. It still surprised her despite her having that thought in the back of her mind ever since you told them you were bringing someone over.
Your father frowned right away, shaking his head lightly, of which Malleus took notice... It hurt him a little to see these initial reactions.
"That's... A shame really. We had an announcement to make for you. We were going to put it off since you were bringing someone over, but..." Your father looked over at your mother, who took the lead, "We're already in the process of arranging you a marriage with someone else." She said.
Your eyes were wide. What...? They were arranging a marriage for you? And they didn't even consult you before they started doing so? "What do you mean?" You said. You knew what they meant, but were having trouble processing it. They were always very strict in the past, sure. But you really thought and hoped that they would at least give you freedom when it came to your romantic life. Your social life in general. They had up until now, with your friends, so why couldn't you love who you loved?
"You know exactly what we mean." Your father said, his expression hardening and his fists clenching around his fork and knife. "We want the best for you, Y/N. That includes your long-term wellbeing and happiness. And specially now... How can we possibly rest when you're dating a monster?" He said coldly. His eyes glancing over at Malleus's for a moment, before they turned back to you. "How can I possibly entrust you to... This? He'll tear you apart. I'm sure of it!"
Malleus felt his heart clench, almost. Those words really hit him.. specially when he was trying so hard to make a good impression on them. They were your parents, after all. He wanted them to have a good opinion of him, and yet here they were berating him and trying to replace him instead.
He opened his mouth to speak, after all, he didn't want to let them do this to him. He was sure you didn't think of him as a monster, and he wanted it to be known. But you were already one step ahead.
"A monster?" You put your utensils down as you stared at them, your mind still having trouble comprehending their sentences. Malleus closed his mouth, turning his attention to you.
"The only monsters I see here are you." You furrowed your eyebrows. Your father seemed more than displeased. "Pardon?" "You heard me. How dare you say those horrible things about my boyfriend... He's sitting right here, you know?" You placed your hand on his gently, and you stood up from your seat so you could look down at them. "Malleus isn't a monster. Appearance doesn't make someone a monster. He looks different, but he's beautiful... And he's the kindest man I've ever met.. He's so gentle, and funny, and interesting... He treats me super well... I couldn't possibly ask for a better partner. I don't want whoever you're trying to offer me to, and I definitely won't tolerate you insulting the love of my life." Your eyes narrowed. You glared right through them. "You don't even know him.. you can't even begin to imagine just how gentle he is... How protective.. you can't begin to imagine just how pleasant our walks are, and how he can keep me hooked on any topic of conversation... He knows so many things, and yet so little... And... It pains me to see you insult him this way. He tried his hardest to be polite.. he asked me countless of times how he should greet you, how he should behave... And you can't even look past the fact he looks different from us.. pathetic, if you ask me." You didn't hold back.
Your parents were shocked, to say the least. You never really talked back to them like this... But they had really struck a nerve. You knew just how lonely and hurt Malleus felt for intimidating everyone. And they were doing nothing to make him feel better. They only mad him feel even more like he didn't belong. And you didn't want that.
Malleus was staring at you, his eyes slightly wide in surprise. He wasn't expecting you to be so passionate about your love for him. He obviously knew you loved him. But to be honest, he usually wasn't around when you were standing up for him back at school, since the students back there were far too afraid of talking badly about him in front of him, in fear of what he might do.
But... Hearing you speak so passionately about him, and how you were so quick to jump to his defense.. it flattered him. He couldn't help but smile gently up at you. He pushed himself up, grabbing your hand properly in the process, and then he stared at your parents.
"I don't appreciate you trying to take Y/N away from me. I love her more than anyone else could. I tried my best to be polite to you... I didn't intend on scaring you. I truly love your daughter..." His smile was replaced with faint hurt expression, still trying to appeal to your parents.
Your father shook his head once again and glared at Malleus, "You're not welcome here. You're still a monster in our eyes." You could tell he had started to tremble slightly after Malleus stood up. Same for your mother.
You couldn't handle this. You intertwined your fingers with Malleus's. He could swear he had never seen you this bothered before.. and neither had your parents. "A family that doesn't welcome the love of my life, doesn't welcome me either. Let's go, Malleus... I don't want to be here anymore." You gently pulled him along, and he gladly followed.
"Y/N! Get back here! You can't just leave?!" Your mother raised her voice, but you ignored her and left the dining room, your boyfriend following right after.
The two of you left the house together, your blood was still boiling.. you couldn't believe they could be so rude to him... "I'm sorry.. about my parents. I didn't think they'd be like this.." you let out a soft sigh, and Malleus stopped, making you do the same.. He gently leaned down and kissed your forehead lightly. A tender smile appeared on his lips as he pulled away and you felt your cheeks heat up slightly.
"Y/N. It's alright... If anything, thank you." you stared up at him, confused at his thanks. "I had no doubt that you loved me back... But it's rather reassuring and comforting to see you jump in to defend me so hastily... Thank you, for saying such sweet things about me..." He confessed, ending it with a thank you again.
You stared at him, a small smile creeping up to your lips. "It's nothing... It's just the truth. You're beautiful... Both inside and out. I would never trade you for whoever they had planned... I'm sure you wouldn't let that happen either." You chuckled slightly as he proudly nodded.
He couldn’t have asked for a better girlfriend either. You really made him happy.
— LEONA KINGSCHOLAR °•.
"Please, Leona! I'm begging you, be decent.." you pleaded.
"I'm not gonna change just 'cause we'll be visitin' your parents."
"I'm not asking you to change! Just don't be so rude like 99.9% of the time!"
"Tch. Yeah, sure, whatever ya say." He rolled his eyes as the two of you were walking towards your house.
You were nervous, honestly. You had told him about him meeting your parents, and he wasn’t pleased at all. Family gatherings weren’t Leona’s thing, and you knew that. But you really wanted to introduce your new boyfriend to your parents.
The problem was, your boyfriend had a severe case of foul language and zero patience. So it was basically a recipe for disaster.
Your parents weren’t super strict, they were a little, but it was nothing major, so you were still a little hopeful that maybe they’d be like you and actually find Leona’s demeanor kind of funny instead of rude.
You arrived at your door and gave one last pleading look towards Leona, as if you were begging at this point, before you rang the doorbell.
It didn’t take long for your mother to come pick up the door, she smiled, although her smile turned a little nervous when she noticed Leona... He looked a little intimidating with that scowl on his face. “Hi, Y/N! It’s lovely to see you again. And this is..?”
Leona stared right through your mother’s eyes and said, “Leona Kingscholar.” and refrained from adding a cocky “remember that.” at the end. Despite his attitude, he still wanted to make some efforts for you. It was your family after all, and you did ask him.
Your mother felt a shiver down her spine due to his look, and she nodded, letting you both in, “I see, nice to meet you, Leona. It’s wonderful to have a guest around. Y/N doesn’t bring friends over very often.” You shook your head at the needless detail. It wasn’t like you spent that much time at home since you were always at the dorm anyways. You only came around during holidays or other specific occasions and it was also when everyone else went to visit their families.
“That’s ‘cause she doesn’t have any.” your boyfriend said, a smirk creeping up to his lips. You gasped and hit him gently on his arm, “Leona!” you chuckled lightly and shook your head. His teasing was always hilarious. And to be fair, Leona wanted to put you at ease too, so he was messing with you a little. You seemed nervous and he took notice of it.
Unfortunately, your mother didn’t find that so funny, but she simply didn’t react. She guided you both to the living room, where your father was, taing care of a few papers. “Honey, Y/N is here with her friend, you can take care of that later.” She went to sit on the armchair while your father put the papers away on the coffee table, “Ah, Y/N! And Leona, if I heard correctly?” He asked.
“Yeah, you did.” Your boyfriend took a seat and made sure to occupy 80% of the couch he was supposed to be sharing with you. Honestly, everytime he heard “Y/N’s friend” when referring to himself, his blood boiled a little. You were his, and he was yours. He wasn’t your friend. And he wanted to make that clear. He honestly couldn’t wait for you to be the one to reveal it. “I’m her boyfriend. Not her friend.” his scowl was back as he glared over at your parents. You frowned a bit as you sat in the little spot he left for you. You wanted to be the one revealing it, only because you knew he’d say it so bluntly too.
Your mother raised an eyebrow, “Huh? Her boyfriend?” She looked at you, then at Leona, then back at you, before saying, “Is this true.. Y/N?” she had a slight frown present on her face.
Leona cut you before you had even opened your mouth, “Why would I lie about that?” He was very clearly displeased, “I’d gain nothin’ from it.”
“I was talking to my daughter. Not you.” your mother retaliated. “Y/N. I don’t support this.”
“But mom-”
“No. Leave him at once... The boy we found is much better for you...”
Your eyes widened momentarily, before your frown was back, “The boy you found? What does that even mean?”
“We found someone for you. To be honest, we’ve been wanting to arrange a relationship for you for a very long time... even more so after seeing... this..” your father’s drifted over to Leona.
The beastman wasn’t happy at all. He glared hard at you father, “Hah? This what?” he spat.
“Dad, no way I’m getting into a relationship with someone I don’t know! Someone you’ve arranged for me! Specially when I already found someone myself!”
“Look at who you found, Y/N! You find this man worthy of being your boyfriend? Seriously? Have you seen how he talks? I’ve never met someone as rude.”
“Then ya haven’t met many people, this ain’t even the full extent of what I can say, “dad”.” His tone turned more and more aggressive by the second.
Your father gritted his teeth, and raised his voice. “Enough! Y/N, I don’t tolerate th-”
“No! Enough for both of you! All of you, even!” You yelled at both your parents and Leona.
The three of them blinked a couple times before turning their attention to you. Both Leona and your father were about to protest but you shot them a glare as you continued. “First of all, I am not leaving Leona just because you don’t think he’s right for me. He’s got his rude episodes but he’s an amazing guy nonetheless and he’s hilarious! You don't even know him for two seconds and you're already insulting him... Second of all, if I’m not leaving him, I’m DEFINITELY not gonna date whoever that man you found is. Not a chance. My taste in partners is perfectly fine. I don’t need a plain whitebread guy in my life when I have the perfect boyfriend already. He’s smart, strong, kind... to me, and he treats me incredibly well even if it might not seem so based on how blunt he is. First impressions aren’t everything. You don't even know a fraction of what he does for me. I've never been happier, and I'm not trading my happiness just so you can "rest easy" simply because of how blunt Leona is.” You sighed frustratedly.
“Frankly, Y/N! What do you even see in this guy! First impressions aren’t everything but I can already tell what he acts like if he can’t even put on some manners and basic etiquette when coming into a stranger’s house! Specially someone older! No way we’re supporting this relationship. We were already planning your marriage to the other boy too!” You mother was now glaring at you.
Leona wasn’t finding this conversation the least bit amusing. He stood up from the couch, grabbing your hand and pulling you up with him. “The only person she’ll be marrying is me.” He gritted his teeth, “I don’t wanna spend even another second in this place.” He pulled you along as he started walking out.
Your cheeks heated up, a light pink dusting over them as you let your boyfriend guide you out. The comment he made about you marrying him made you a little more excited and happy than you’d ever admit to him.
“Oh, and “daddy”? “mommy”?” he mocked, “Your little boy could never give Y/N the life she can have with me. I don’t really give a shit about provin’ ya wrong, but hey, if it makes ya happy, I’ll turn your daughter into a princess. A real one.” he presented the cockiest smirk you had ever seen him flaunt, and he pulled you along, slamming the door, while your parents didn’t even protest, but were instead silently thinking about his last words before he left.
He was angry, to say the least. He hated that they were trying to take you away from him. You were his. You could tell just how angry he really was...
Your parents had no idea he meant everything literally. He’d make you a real princess after your marriage. He’d make sure no one could stop him.
“Tch. Your parents are a real handful, herbivore. Didn’t know I was signin’ up for an insulting spree.” he sighed, still holding your hand.
“Yeah... Neither did I. I mean... To be fair, you did provoke them a bit.. but even so, I can’t believe they were planning on marrying me off to some other dude! I feel kind of betrayed, honestly...”
“No wonder. It’s whatever though. Not like they can have any control over ya if I steal you away.”
“Guess so~... But thanks for pulling us out of there, I was going to do the same, actually..”
“Hm.” he hummed in acknowledgement, and a small smirk crept up his lips again, “You surprised me though, what was that little moment of yours? Jumpin’ in to defend me as if I don’t have claws of my own.” he teased. But deep down, he was grateful. Happy too. The things you said meant a lot, even if they were rather simple things to him, it warmed him up t hear you say them. He’d rather die than admit how happy it made him though. He has his massive pride in the way of revealing his true feelings.
“I know you can defend yourself” But they were making me way too angry for me to just stand there and let you be the only one doing the talking... After all, not only were they berating my perfect boyfriend, they were trying to force me to get a new one.”
“True. I just never knew ya had it in ya. Guess I’ll have to reward you when we get home, a reward for your bravery that, oddly enough, you never show me.” he kept teasing you the whole way back. But he was just happy that awful meeting was over.
The candied-orange and eggnog-yellow flickers of fire crackled in the fireplace of the living room as powdered-sugar-white snow fell outside onto Ramshackle dorm’s windows.
You wrapped the pink quilt embroidered with gingerbread houses and snowmen around yourself tighter and shifted a bit in your laying position on the green-and-white-striped holed-up couch.
Before you, the oak coffee table held various wrapped dishes: a bucket of fried chicken, a box of cheese pizza, and a bowl of potato salad. The flimsy film of the wrappers on each dish began to clear up as the steam on each dish lessened.
You reached for your phone, which rested on top of your stomach. 11:50 p.m. Leona was still out delivering presents to all beings of Twisted Wonderland with Idia Shroud due to their roles as the respective Trusty Reindeer and The Green One.
The last texts Leona sent you were “Going to Scalding Sands now” and a picture of the dazzling night sky above Scalding Sands dotted with diamond clusters of stars.
You knew that it probably wouldn’t be realistic for Leona to return to campus by midnight; he’d probably come back from flying around the world on Idia’s high-tech chariot by the dawn of Christmas.
However, you still had a smidge of hope that Leona would get to have a belated Christmas Eve dinner with you. Grim and the Ramshackle Ghosts already went upstairs to sleep hours ago, and you insisted to them that you would wait up for Leona.
11:58 p.m. You pulled the quilt over your head, too comfy on the couch by now to want to trudge up the rickety wooden staircase to your and Grim’s room. It’s ok, I’ll see Leona tomorrow.
Your eyes fluttered shut and you shifted your head on the couch’s throw pillow, which was a tad uncomfortable due to you hiding Leona’s present under it. Still, you found yourself unable to sleep as you wondered where in the world Leona was now.
Was Leona flying over the snowy mountains of the Shaftlands? Or was he flying over the lush grasslands of Afterglow Savannah? As you drifted off into dreamland, you hoped that wherever he was right now, Leona was at least keeping warm.
12:25 a.m.
The knob of the Ramshackle front door clicked, and the quiet dorm filled with the thuds of footsteps from heavy boots that could only belong to a certain Trusty Reindeer.
Leona closed the door and slipped out of his black snow boots. He yawned, rubbing his hands covered by mittens together after trekking through the snow-covered campus from Main Street (where Idia dropped Leona off) to Ramshackle.
There wasn’t a crack of light in Ramshackle except for in the living room, which emitted a soft golden glow. Leona made his way to the living room, following the scent of food and the sound of your snores.
Too tired to take off his reindeer antler headband, mittens, and knitted outerwear, Leona approached the couch with half-lidded eyes. He lifted your quilt, diving under the quilt to join you. Not caring that he would wake you up, Leona wrapped his arms around your waist.
Home. Leona buried his nose into the crook of your neck, eyes fluttering shut as he inhaled your familiar and comforting scent.
“Leona?” your voice, albeit somewhat groggy, was the only Christmas melody Leona needed to hear. The first thing you saw when you woke up was Leona’s reindeer antler headband. “When did you get here?”
“Just now,” Leona hummed, not bothering to lift his head up or open his eyes. Your hands wriggled up from underneath him to flick the golden jingle bells on his reindeer antler headband.
“Welcome home, my Trusty Reindeer,” you giggled at the merry jingling of the bells. Leona lifted his head up to greet you with his mistletoe-green eyes.
“I’m not a reindeer, herbivore,” the lion beastman huffed at the headband. “Tch, being stuck as a Trusty Reindeer with that Radish Sprout as the Green One is real tiresome.”
“Really?” you tapped the tip of Leona’s nose, which shone a faint shade of red due to flying through the chilly winter sky for hours on end. “‘Cuz your nose is as red as a reindeer’s.”
Leona replied by leaning forward and rubbing his nose against yours. “There, my nose is warm now.”
“Is being the Trusty Reindeer really that bad?” you smiled and arched an eyebrow as Leona released you from his arms and the two of you sat up on the couch. He took off his mittens and then the reindeer antler headband, glad to be rid of it. “Also, how did you and Idia finish delivering presents so fast?”
Leona eyed the coffee table with wrapped food and grabbed the bucket of fried chicken; he didn’t have dinner earlier due to delivering presents nonstop with Idia.
“We used his drones to deliver gifts to people while I created a cloaking spell so people wouldn’t see the drones, us, and the chariot,” Leona explained as he munched on a fried chicken drumstick. “Not everyone’s gonna be asleep by like 10 p.m., so the mystery of the Green One delivering gifts isn’t really a mystery. The cloaking spell and drones helped in delivering presents faster and more efficiently, especially with all the time differences.”
“Sounds like you and Idia made a pretty good team,” you leaned your cheek against the palm of your propped-up elbow and tipped your gaze at Leona. “I know you don’t like being the Trusty Reindeer, but I’m really proud of you, Leona. You did important work.”
Leona’s munching slowed as he thought about all he and Idia saw during their journey around the world: households with full and happy families, households with families mourning the loss of loved ones, and those who didn’t even have homes or families.
He knew all those people’s names by memory from the letters he and Idia read and replied to weeks ago addressed to “The Green One,” and how those letters contained wishes for gifts, for love, for guidance, etc.
Other people’s business never really bothered nor affected Leona, but from his experiences as the Trusty Reindeer, Leona learned about others’ lives that were so different from his own, if only through a couple of sentences.
“Even if the Radish Sprout and I have to give people gifts and protect the spirit of Yuletide, there’s nothing we can do about their personal lives,” Leona set down the bucket of fried chicken and leaned back against the couch. “What’s the point of these roles then when there’s nothin’ he and I can do to help them, yet they look to us during this time of year for help?”
“Well,” you moved the quilt over your and Leona’s laps to keep the both of you warm. “I personally think that even by just giving people around the world gifts and replying to their letters, you and Idia are helping them in some way. You and Idia are reminding them that especially during this time of year, they aren’t alone.”
Leona gazed at you in silence for a few seconds before plopping his head onto your shoulder. “It’s giving ‘em false hope more than anything, but I can see what you’re saying, even if it is a real cheesy way of putting it,” Leona replied with his expression full of thought, without a hint of his usual snarkiness. “…This job’s tougher than I gave it credit for. And to answer your question earlier, no. Being the Trusty Reindeer, as troublesome as that title is, ain’t so bad.”
You intertwined your fingers through Leona’s, giving them a reassuring squeeze. “So will we be seeing you as the Trusty Reindeer next Christmas?” you teased. “Ah! Speaking of Christmas, I have your present.”
You revealed the gift you had hidden under the throw pillow: a somewhat-small rectangular box wrapped in ebony wrapping paper and tied with an emerald ribbon.
“That eager to exchange gifts, huh?” Leona smirked. You handed the gift to Leona, who tore through the ribbon and wrapping in an instant.
He opened the box, which contained a golden heart locket necklace. The inside of the locket revealed his cropped picture on the left heart and your cropped picture on the right heart. The two images of you and Leona were from a selfie you had on your phone. It was from when the two of you tried on matching lion onesies that one time Leona went fall shopping with you months before the two of you started dating. Leona’s comically grumpy expression while wearing the lion onesie contrasted your beaming expression, despite Leona leaning his head against yours with utter affection when you took the selfie.
“Heh, I remember when we took that photo,” Leona grinned down at the locket. “Did you know I was crushin’ on you by then?”
“Really?” you cooed as Leona scooted to sit with his back to you and gave you the necklace to put it on for him. You brushed his mane to the side and clasped the necklace around his neck.
“Yeah, I called you cute and everything,” Leona turned around to face you as the heart locket necklace dangled and glinted in front of his chest. “Thought I gave it away.”
“Well, now I know,” you snaked your arms around his neck and snuggled closer to Leona.
“Thank you,” Leona nuzzled the top of your head. “As for your gift, well, etiquette dictates that I have to give ya a gift too, but we both know my presence is a present in and of itself.”
You leaned back a bit to see Leona’s mischievous wink and ever-so-smug smirk, to which you responded with a loving eye roll.
“I’m kiddin’, ‘course I got you a gift.” Leona rummaged through the large front pocket of his knitted outerwear and took out a gift wrapped in (your favorite color) wrapping paper and tied with a slim gold ribbon.
“‘To Y/N’,” you read on the package as Leona handed it to you. “‘Love, Leona.’ Awww.”
You tore through the packaging, gasping in awe at a (your favorite color) notebook with gold-lined pages.
“Look at what’s inside,” Leona urged as a proud smile made its way onto his face at your cute expression.
Your fingers danced on the thick cover of the notebook as you opened it to the first page. To your surprise, penned words in black ink greeted you.
On each page, Leona wrote little diary entries of each place he visited during his journey with Idia to deliver presents. Each page was written from top to bottom with Leona’s thoughts and feelings to make you feel like you were there with him. He also started each diary entry with a timestamp.
One page read: “10:28 p.m. We just finished delivering gifts in Afterglow Savannah. I can’t believe I had to send a drone to my own home to deliver the furball’s gifts. Did you know Cheka wrote to the Green One asking for a ton of toys, but mostly asking for me to come home? Wouldn’t he be overjoyed to find out that I’ll be home tomorrow.”
You chuckled as you read Leona’s words. “Cheka would be so happy to know that you were the Trusty Reindeer,” you lifted your head up from reading the notebook to smile at Leona.
Leona would be spending the next few hours with you, but he also planned to go back to his family’s palace in Afterglow Savannah at 7 a.m. to celebrate Christmas morning with his family. He usually wouldn’t wake up so early, and Leona also dreaded the fact that Farena planned matching Christmas sweaters for the whole family, but he knew that a certain five-year-old nephew of his would leave him a million calls if he wasn’t home on Christmas morning.
“I can just see the furball pestering me with endless questions,” Leona sighed, despite feeling a teeny bit proud of himself for taking part in delivering his nephew’s Christmas gifts.
“How did you have time to write all of this?” you wondered aloud as you skimmed through more pages.
“I had a lot of time to kill when we were flying in the sky,” Leona leaned his head against yours to read one of his entries with you. “The Radish Sprout programmed the chariot to fly on autopilot, so I didn’t have to drive. Tch, he kept calling me ‘the bad-boy-type character with a hidden soft side’ when I was making your gift. Whatever that means.”
You couldn’t contain your laughter at Leona being called “the-bad-boy-type character with a hidden soft side” by Idia as you reached the last page.
The last page wasn’t as detailed as the previous pages; it simply contained the sentence “May we travel to all these places together in the future, because going to all these places sure as hell wasn’t half as fun without you” and Leona’s neat signature at the end.
Your eyes, which sparkled as bright as a star on top of a Christmas tree while reading the last sentence, began to tear up.
“I love it,” you set the notebook down to throw your arms around Leona’s neck and pepper him with kisses. “Merry Christmas, Leona.”
“Merry Christmas, Y/N,” Leona whispered, his hands caressing the curves of your sides. He tipped your chin up and leaned in to lock his lips with yours.
While Leona adored the heart locket necklace from you, there was no better present than your presence.
Leona Kingscholar🦁 comforting a crying reader
“Yawnnnnnnn.” Leona let out a big yawn, as he was walking slowly, heading over to the botanical gardens to take a much needed nap and avoid class since there was no need for him to attend class despite he already knew what was being taught. He knew he would have to deal with an annoyed Ruggie later in the afternoon, but he didn’t care. Entering into the botanical gardens, Leona scanned around to make sure no teacher was there, especially Crewel, since he knew he would force him to attend class. When he saw no one around, he headed over to the large tree that was surrounded by bushes and tropical flowers. Leona stopped a bit, and sniffed the air, as he smelled a certain magicless scent that belong to the ramshackle herbivore. Once he arrived, he saw the Prefect sitting on the ground, back pressed against the tree, with their head on their legs, preventing anyone from seeing their face. “Oi Herbivore, you are in my space.”, Leona said to you with an annoyed look, as he wasn’t happy that you had taken his napping spot. You poked your head out slightly from your position, looking at Leona with an emotionless face, eyes red from crying and tears sliding down your cheeks. Leona eyes widen a bit as he didn’t realize you were crying. “Go away, Leona.” You moved your head back to your original position. “Sigh”, Leona let out a big sigh, and he came closer to where you were sitting, and sat down across from you on the other side of the tree, laying his back against it. You told Leona to go away again, but he said nothing . Sighing, you let out a “whatever” as you realized that Leona was adamant on staying where he was. Silence was all you could hear as you suspected that Leona must have fallen asleep already, but then you felt a hand grab your arm and pulled you. Letting out a gasp, you realized Leona had moved you closer, and positioned you in between his legs. Realizing what was happening, you placed both your hands on his chest, trying to push yourself away, but Leona grabbed your wrists, stopping you. “LET GO!!!” You screamed at Leona, as you struggled against his grip. “….” Leona was silent as he continued to hold your wrists, waiting for you to calm down.
After a few minutes, you finally calmed down and stopped resisting. Leona had removed his hands from your wrists, but he moved one hand to your cheek. “Herbivore, look at me.” You didn’t look up at Leona, and cast your eyes down, not wanting him to look at you. “Y/N.” You twitched slightly, not expecting him to call your name, but you realized that Leona was being serious and wanted you to look at him. Moving your head slowly, you looked up at him. Leona’s face was neutral, but his eyes were kind as he continued to stare at you. “Why are you crying?” Leona asked as he moved his thumb against your cheek, wiping away the tears that were still falling from your eyes. Hesitating, you glanced away from Leona, not wanting to tell him why as you figured he would laugh at you. “Idk…. just been stressed with everything. Crowley being a lazy jerk, not doing well in class, and getting yelled at because of Grim causing trouble. Usually I’m use to it, but I think I just got to the point where I couldn’t handle it anymore. I’m sorry.” You heard Leona click his tongue, and expected him to get mad at you for crying over something so stupid, but you felt his arms wrap around your back and pulled you closer towards him, placing your head against his chest. “Baka. Don’t apologize for something like that.” Leona held you tighter, squishing you closer to his chest, to the point you could hear his heartbeat. “It’s normal for life to suck sometimes. Trust me I know, but it’s not impossible to get through it. If you need help with classwork, I can help with that and I can talk to that furball and bird brain to get their act together and stop troubling you. If you are having another breakdown or need someplace to relax, look for me.” Leona said all of this in your ear, while he nuzzled his cheek against your head. Your tears came out like a waterfall as you wrapped your arms around Leona’s back, sobbing on his chest. Leona refused to let you go as he let you cry to your hearts content, not even bothered that you were getting his shirt wet.
A couple minutes had passed and you eventually stopped crying, but you continued to hug Leona as you didn’t want to let go “You can stay as long as you want.” Leona said to you, most likely knowing you didn’t want to separate. Leona then told you to get some rest, and moved one of his hands to pat your head. Giggling to yourself, you moved your head from his chest and looked at Leona with a soft smile. “Had no idea you were such a softie.” Leona gave you an annoyed look, but then he smirked and placed your head back against his chest. “Yeah yeah. Don’t get use to it, Herbivore.”
To those who identify as female, have you ever just put an object that's in your hands in your bra? I do when I don't have pockets or a bag at that moment.
But in Twst? I'll do it almost all the time.
Whose going to stop me? Not NRC. Those boys probably have not touched a woman that's not their family.
Riddle will for sure will scream at me saying that it's unhygienic and probably unladylike it's for me to do that. And when he does, I'll just throw whatever I had in my bra at him, and just watch him freak out.
Trey probably saw an older female relative do it and never questioned it. Might ask why, and when told on why, he never mentioned it again. Is going to wipe anything I give him just in case it had boobie sweat on it.
Cater probably lives in an all female household and seen most of them to it. Does not give a fuck, will never mention it to ADeuce just to see their reactions and then laugh about it.
Deuce might've saw it happen once but forgot about it. Would be cautious as hell when I give him things. I'll have to tell him that anything that's not at least my phone or wallet I will not put in my bra.
Ace does not know about this, he will be disgusted. Will ABSOLUTELY not take anything from me. Would say how gross it is for me to do that and how much my boobie sweat is nasty.
Leona doesn't give a single fuck. Knows that women will do that when they have no bags or pockets. Is not bothered by it when giving him things.
Ruggie knows for a Fact that this happens. His grandma does it. When he was younger he probably had to do errands for her, and she would dig into her bra to get some money out for groceries.
Jack... does not know what to do. Does he take the object I'm giving him? Or does he rejects it? If he does, he'll get all nervous about it and immediately wash his hands after touching the item.
