both of them are related to the night sky. which is nice because i love space and astronomy my chosen name is indu which means 'moon' in sanskrit and my irl name [REDACTED] means 'a night sky adorned with stars' both my irl name and surname are really uncommon to the point where they get mispronounced almost all the time in fact my surname is so rare that several sources say that just one in nine crore people have it. on top of that it's limited to my state on the other hand my name isn't that uncommon but it's uncommon enough to be confused for other names. and that happens a lot there was one time when my very sanskrit name got confused with my friend's very arabic one. i still laugh about it fun fact: my irl name comes from a not very well-known avatar of the goddess durga (she has 1000 names so good luck finding mine lol) uncommon name rare name uncommon name problems rare name problems uncommon surname rare surname india indian just indian things indian stuff the insomniac archives
