Lunarre watched the bear hellion tear into his prey with interest. It was rare to see a kindred spirit who had retained enough reason to think about how it killed and who it ate.

Once the hellion’s prey was dead at his feet, Lunarre emerged from the shadows and called out.
“That was a nice performance, kid. Very nice.”

Would what he became be considered a blessing or curse? Perhaps both? He could hardly care as long as others couldn’t tell what happened to him. As long as he could still make business with them that’s all that matters right?
Over all it was…somewhat a blessing for him when it came to beasts like him. As he was now he could deal with them without them getting back up once more.

Curved claws easily tearing through a boar like hellion, momentarily baring his teeth as he brought the beast down before his arms fell by his sides. Breathing becoming steady in time he stared to the beast as it returned what it once was. Just as many others did when he killed them.
Looking to his bloodied hands once they returned to normal he frowned. “I need to get to a stream…” He muttered, not wanting to really smear the blood on his own clothing.
timidplum:
Jolting slightly on the voice he turned quickly on his heel to look to the man that spoke to him. Bloody hands clinching into fists. He was being watched?! That wasn’t good for him- but…why was he getting praised on that..? The feeling of malevolence from the other soon made it obvious. He was just like him….

“How long have you been there?” He asked quickly, not wanting to give much idle chit chat to a hellion that might be a threat to him.

The hellion merely laughed. He knew which of them was stronger, and it certainly wasn’t the kid in front of him. The kid was good, certainly, but he had a way to go to catch Lunarre. To show he came in peace, Lunarre raised both hands up while chuckling.
“Just in time to see you kill,” he said. “Nice job. Though I can’t help but notice you didn’t enjoy it all that much.”
thetraitordemon:

“Going blind…” He muttered in thought. When was it he started to lose his sight? That was something he never thought of really but then it was odd to hear the other talk in a helpful way. “I suppose I could seek the help on the shepherd if needed but…”
Trailing off as he looked to him an amused look soon crossed his face. “Do I take that tip as you not wanting me to go blind? I didn’t expect and old man like me to manage to get a hellion like you to worry on losing my sight. Thinking it to be no longer fun when I go blind?” He grinned on his teasings though he did wonder on the truth of it.
“But I’ll consider it…if I meet them.”
“Not to mention a while ago me looking up at the sky might not help my sight one dang bit.”

“You’ll consider it?”
Lunarre clenched his his fists and rounded on the seraph, bristling with anger.
“You really don’t give a damn anymore do you, old man?” he snarled. He didn’t care how it looked, frustration poured out of him and nothing could stop it. “What the fuck is wrong with you? Do you care so little about yourself that blindness means nothing? Are you so wrapped up in your own crusade of friendship that you can’t see how pointless it is? If you’re really so stupid to think you can be of any help to anyone as you are - let alone blind - then maybe you deserve to lose your damned sight! Maybe then at last you’ll realise just how much of a stupid old man you are!”
Lunarre stopped suddenly, breathing hard. He wanted to take the stupid bastard’s eyes out himself! Why couldn’t he get it? Even if he laughed at the fact a hellion cared about him... surely he was not so far gone he couldn’t see the sincerity of Lunarre’s feelings, or that the situation was a serious one. What could Lunarre do to make Kimuri give a damn about his own self?
timidplum:
Well that was a confirmation he didn’t want to hear. But that was just his luck now wasn’t it? Clenching his jaw he soon tried to relax.
Nothing to get too tensed about yet. For one thing this one wasn’t mindlessly attacking him. Though his comment on what he did wasn’t one he wanted to answer.
And yet Plum answered.

“Why should I enjoy it. For one thing I’m a merchant. I can’t sell a thing with bloodied hands….The other is that I want to try-” but wasn’t it useless? he’s already a monster. “- to maintain my humanity.”
Laughable

A merchant hellion? What a laugh. The same hellion who killed also sold trinkets to the lovely folk of Glenwood? A kid wedged between the life of a human and the life of a beast.
Lunarre shook his head. He spoke, and with each word he took a step closer to Plum.
“’That so? Well then, take some advice from a hellion who’s accepted reality. You’re wastin’ your time. Try what you want, all that ugliness inside you will eat ya up and make you what you are, whether you like it or not. The more you struggle, the worse it is. But no matter what, the end result’s the same. The pain’s less if you just let it happen.”
Now Lunarre was inches away from Plum’s face, hunched and smiling wide.
“Trust me on that.”
