How did you discover the artist known as Kim Taehyung (V of BTS)?
I 'discovered' him when the song Christmas Tree dropped December 2021, and I've been a fan ever since. Also, through Taehyung, I have learned more about BTS as a group and all their members. Yes, before you ask, I did go down the rabbit hole like many before and after me. It's a fun trip and anyone newly experiencing, have a great time!
While I will be be focusing on Taehyung and his artistry, do expect other fun content.
Please know that I am respectful to BTS as a group and each of their members. They are all humans first with families, friends and other loved ones and then Idols after all of those things.
I ask that everyone be respectful in this space and enjoy what I post about Taehyung or skip it. Very easy, and I will not be hurt or take offense.

My Favorite Layover Song is
Before we get to my fav, let's take a quick stroll. By the way, don't peek!
First, let's talk about that Love Me Again MV and song itself, I was close to being transported to another world. It was a vocal and visual masterpiece. I mean, it could not be more perfect. Next was Rainy Days MV and song, I LOVED IT and it then became my fav of the two. Finally, the entire album dropped a month later and we got songs and MVs shortly thereafter. Slow Dancing, the queen and title song with that amazing flute solo (and a piano version), then Blue, which made me feel like I was in a smoky blues club, and For Us he got me with the oooooo's, like come on Kim Taehyung what were you trying to do to us!!
So, I'm sure by now you're like KimmyTaeTae will you just tell us your favorite Layover song!
Ok, so here it is, mmmmmm, wait maybe a visual clue? I mean all you need to do is look at my profile pics. Ahhhh, it's now dawning on you that my #1 is Blue. I cannot explain the feeling when hearing Blue and it is like hearing it for the first time, each time.

Layover Promo, My Fav?!?!?
As promised, I'm back to share my favorite Layover promo. However, as I was trying to figure out my fav, I realized that this was going to be extremely hard and almost impossible!
I mean we need to first acknowledge that Taehyung was on a mission to leave his fans as much content as possible. I still feel completely fed months later. There are times I want a more recent update, like seeing him with Hobi and friends at the IU concert, but love that I can open YT and get an easy pick me up!
I am stuck! There's so many moments of different pieces of promo. I love Tiny Desk and the Band Sessions, Running Man, Dingo, PIXID, Japanese interviews/lives, 20 Second Live, VICNIC and the Magazines/other merch. I mean, I felt like a groupie camped out at the website of a bookseller waiting for POP to drop and have it mailed to me from London. Our credit cards were on fire for months!
I will say, I really LOVED the music shows and the different stages created for Taehyung's performances. One of my fav interactions is when the fans surprised him with a good luck cheer. The smile and joy that crossed his face, ugh it was so sweet and endearing. Also, loved that performance of Love Me Again in the red sequence sleeveless top and black leather pants. They way they set the mood with the lighting and his vocals were sublime.
Of course, not forgetting Yeontan's debut!
Although I revealed Blue was my queen (the live made me melt), I honestly fall in love with each of his songs all over again when I hear them. Especially the lives! That is why it's called a no skip album.

"Singularity" is a song from BTS's third full-length album, LOVE YOURSELF: Tear, released on May 7, 2018, and has surpassed 300 million streams on Spotify.
After the release of the "Singularity" video, it attracted worldwide attention, ranking #1 in global real-time trends and search terms on Korea's largest portal.
"Singularity" is a neo-soul song that is hard to find in K-pop and is praised as a track that expanded the horizons of BTS's music. Pop critics and mainstream media outlets around the world chose it as the representative song of 2018.
In a review of the album, the British Guardian stated: "Singularity is the best song on the album" and it was chosen as "Best Track of 2018". The New York Times and LA Times in the US also named it "Best Song of the Year".
Billboard reviewed "Singularity" and praised it, saying, "V's expressive vocals, with a wide range and deep timbre, are the foundation of BTS's sound." American public broadcaster PBS said: βV has a captivating voice and approaches music in a unique way. His performance style is stunning."
The New York Times said of V's live performance, "V's sensual 'Singularity' is the pinnacle of New York live performances," and MTV in America said, "V knows how to make himself more attractive through close interaction with the camera. He exudes charisma that attracts audiences."
NME, a British music media outlet, commented on how V stunned the crowd, saying: βV took over the entire stadium. His movements were carefully thought out and planned, and his gaze into the camera was hot and intense."

Vmin is my happy place! They are the epitome of friendship goals! They are so entertaining with their genuine joyful mischievous nature and they make your heart feel warm with their deep respect and love for one another. If I'm feeling stressed or down, I just watch a Vmin compilation to perk me back up! They are my medicine! π
There are far too many beautiful Vmin moments to capture, but my favourites are of course BV2 letter and the entirety of BV4! MY bestie will NOT massage my butt!!

π Pride Festival in Korea:
β Today I attended the Pride Festival in Daegu, the stronghold of conservatism in South Korea.
As a journalist and a queer person, I was very interested in taking part in a pride event outside of Seoul. In short: despite the resistance, the LGBT community came.
The activist said that many passers-by supported the festival with applause, but there were also opponents. We should all be very proud of people who bravely stand up for themselvesπ₯Ή Be yourself and always follow your compassβ€οΈ
