I've had this idea for a character concept bopping around my mind as of late. Imagine a travelling alchemist/healer. A young woman with pale skin and wavy dark hair. She has emerald green eyes that seem to have silver streaks if you look closely enough. She's been wandering the realm, teaching medicine as she goes. While travelling healers aren't unheard of, they typically age and aren't seen still wandering around after centuries. There's something ageless about this alchemist, she doesn't look a day over thirty, yet her eyes have seen a millennium of events. Despite all she's seen, she still goes from town to town, healing others with herbs and potions. She teaches when she can, but never sticks around for too long.
More secretive details below:
This character is a dragon in disguise. Not just any dragon though... Half green and half silver. Her mum is a green dragon who spends a lot of time disguised as a noblewoman since she enjoys the political games of the aristocracy. As for this alchemist's father, he's a silver dragon. He had met the Lady Nightshade and become quite smitten. The silver dragon appeared as a human named Frost and courted her for quite some time before she gave in.
The two dragons had quite conflicting ideals. Nightshade wanted to continue gaining power through less than legal means, but Frost was hesitant to allow such evil. Over time, the two mellowed each other out and had their daughter.
Each member of the family goes by many names, but for now, they are Lady Nightshade, Mr. Frost, and Donna Bell, their daughter. My other title for Donna is the Drachemist.
I may or may not include further character details here, but that will have to wait for motivation
So I played Vendetta again...

I might draw more later, okay I definitely will, but I'm not sure when

Amber sitting on the shelf with a cat sitting behind her. I think it was Ash, but it could have been Cinder in the lighting. Cat and a shadow :)
I sat down to write notes for teachers who've agreed to write letters of recommendation for me. I'm at my desk. The forms and docs are open to fill out.
Why do I feel nauseous?
It's not that complicated, why can't I just do it?
I said I'd write these today. I don't want them to be disappointed in me.
Why am I like this?
Why can't I move?
I want to do this. I need to do this. This is part of the college prep process. I want to go to college. Why can't I just write?
"Barn Owl" on the Old Trail
This is a memory of a hike I once took part in while at summer camp. I did not have a good time that day. On the upside, I got a cool nickname.
The campers left the site at around noon, starting down the path with enthusiasm. They were promised an easy hike and a beautiful view at the top of the mountain.
Heavy rains from the past few days made the ground a gravel slurry. Several pairs of boots squelched as the mud sucked at their soles. The path continued.
The campers stepped carefully over a flooded stream. The creek babbled as they stumbled over the rocks. Sunlight trickled through branches, stabbing eyes while dancing on the water. The path continued.
Clouds of gnats followed the campers like fog. Sweat-drenched shirts clung to skin. The path continued.
Rock and mud turned to packed dirt. Roots stretched onto the path, fibrous fingers intertwined, tripping feet. The campers trudged onward. The path continued.
Up and up they went. The trail grew steeper and log stairs were put in place. Their thighs burned. The path continued.
Finally, the campers had reached the top. They were promised an easy hike. It was not. They were promised a beautiful view overlooking the valley. Trees covered the blue sky overhead. There was no ledge to look over. There was nothing.
The campers sat down on the narrow path. One girl mumbled something. The others covered their ears.
A piercing shriek cut through the air. Again. Then wracking sobs. The "barn owl" cried her exhaustion. Yet the day went on. They still had to go back down. ---
This writing was the second to last draft I did for a writing assignment for my English class. The idea was to focus on setting, hopefully that came through.

My garden at home is still producing strawberries, I can't harvest them though, wasps are eating them and I want to support the wasps. I'm also not willing to fight them on this

I'm gonna do Inktober this year!! (or at least try)

Inktober Day 2: Discover

Inktober Day 3: Boots

The boots aren't a mimic. The adventurer's backpack is a pet mimic who really enjoys playing hide and seek.
Also, knapsack
