βœ‹ ( for agatha ! β™‘ )

hold my muse's hand. / accepting!

agatha's gaze lowers as ahri slips her hand into her own. it was soft like flower petals and warm and seems to fit so perfectly in her hand. there was a promise on the other's lips to show her something beautiful. no, not just that, but breath-taking, and so as she leads her, agatha eagerly follows along. she's known the fox woman for only a brief time, and yet... there is a sense of safety she feels, regardless of her sharp teeth and claws, regardless of her inhuman appearance. agatha is certainly inhuman as well, though less noticeably so. still, ahri seems more welcoming of her entry into her woods than she does of most others.

she's led past trees in bloom, patches of honeysuckle and phlox, the air heady with the sweet scent of their flowers. though worn, the path beneath her feet is still soft and earthy and she feels no fear of stepping on sharp stones or debris left behind by humans. this is truly a safe haven for those that are like ahri and agatha.

 ( For Agatha ! )

she's soon greeted by boughs of wisteria and white and pink cherry blossoms and japanese maples, by yuzu and persimmon trees, by patches of ivy. it almost seems that every plant native to the country is right here. birdsong and the chirping of insects reach her ears, her gaze moving over this earthly paradise to see animals gathering here as well. agatha exhales a sharp breath, caught off guard by the sheer beauty of the forest. her eyes are wide and shimmering in her wonder. " it... this place, it'sβ€” i-it's b-beyond words. " she breathes out, speaking quietly and softly so as not to frighten anything away. with a growing smile, she looks to ahri, giving her hand a light squeeze. " th-thank you, ahri. iβ€” i-i'm honored you w-would show me this. "

πŸ“‚ πŸ“‚ πŸ“‚ πŸ“‚ πŸ“‚ πŸ“‚ gimme gimme some headcanons about princess aggie, please ! πŸ’œ

random headcanons / accepting!

princess agatha considers the castle library and gardens to be her safe haven, especially from her cousins (on her dad's side) who tend to be nothing but bullies to her whenever they visit, which is fairly often. she feels more comfortable, more safe, more at home there than in any other part of the castle (aside from her own bedroom).

she is even more introverted in this au because she has a lot more weight on her shoulders. she doesn't speak if she doesn't have to, she doesn't interact with others if she doesn't have to. the only other people she'll speak to, even when not directly spoken to by them, are the staff in the castle. she appreciates all they do and thanks them for things they do for her and she talks to them when she gets a chance.

while, yes, she doesn't typically have many duties, agatha would truly rather not be royalty. it isn't from the perspective of like, a spoiled rich girl or anything, because her kingdom is certainly rich, she just feels she isn't cut out to be princess or, later, queen. it feels like it's too much responsibility and one wrong move will destroy everything. if she could, if it had no repercussions, she'd run away from it all.

agatha absolutely dreads arranged marriages. she's a romantic through and through and prefers to get to know someone a good deal before marrying them. she understands they're often just a part of being royalty (because it was the same for her parents), but it doesn't mean she has to like it. that isn't to say she'll be difficult toward her betrothed, whoever it may be. agatha will do her utmost best to get along with them and make them happy.

she balks at the prospect of producing an heir. she's really good with kids but pregnancy itself is pretty terrifying. that, and with the added pressure of needing an heir makes her even more hesitant. agatha also fears she wouldn't be a very good mother even though she'd try her absolute best to be one for her child/children if she were to have any. it also doesn't really help that it's difficult for fae to bear children. it's much more likely for them to be born the way she was, from a flower (a peony, specifically), but that still means both she and her partner have to wish for a child and want one strongly enough to essentially be given one, and agatha would be wary in doing so.

@vulpesse sent a message in a bottle . . . do you like flowers ? do you have a favorite one ? we could grow it together, in a tiny but colorful pot, so it will always be here whenever you come back.

@vulpesse Sent A Message In A Bottle . . . Do You Like Flowers ? Do You Have A Favorite One ? We Could

whenever she comes back ?

it's a statement that sinks into the core of her like a stone dropped into the sea, anchoring her feet to where they've been planted in the warm grass, and for all her cleverness, six finds herself in a daze. a child on the run is she / a child forever roaming, tethered to nowhere expect for someplace far, far away. someplace she's not sure she'll ever find again, its memory slippery in her grip, cloudy like old weathered glass. a little lost thing who would return to nothing, ever - marching forward ── yet here she finds an offering made, not a lure waiting to snare her in its grasp, but a flower. something that doesn't grow where the child in yellow has wandered from.

and she can come back for it.

she blinks up at ahri once, twice, a slow and curious gesture. her mouth opens to say something, the faintest hint of sharpened canines peaking out, but hesitantly closes it not long after. her features do little to portray it, but six all but wracks her mind for what she could call a favorite before answering─

β€œ can . . . can it be a dandelion ? ”
