1. You have it almost right - there's both characters inspired by phobias AND normal people. The phobias are super rare and most people (expect for family and people who happened to see/meet them) dosen't know they exist at all. Their family often hide them from the society to keep them safe
2. It's between late 1939 (autumn) and (summer) 1940!
3. I'm bad at world building so maybe you won't find disappointmently boring but one of the more interesing think (I think) about it, despite the time period standarts, Devil Town is not homophobic or (mostly) rasist. It comes from the mainly mixed racied habitians, which is already very untypical for one city, so the same gender couples are nothing weird to them. And racism is literally ILLEGAL in DT! Depending on what type of it someone did, they can either pay a large amount of money (spreading hate word, for ex.) or even land in aresset (for attacknig someone because of their race, etc.)
Dumb ask, dumb like anything else, but give me your speculation about NoP - like, how is it going to look like, based on what you know already (I know there's not too much info, I'm sorry :[ )

If I remember correctly, everyones based off of a fear/phobia of sorts which affect them as a whole, which I find so interesting as you know from like when I first followed you sbshsjjs
I don’t remember the exact decade it’s in but I know it’s in the late 1900’s? I think that will be fairly interesting
I’m also just entirely curious on how their world works and the views people have and shehsbjsn I’m eepy answering this buuuuttt I’d rather answer it while I’m tired than forget to answer it at all

Okay, but can we talk about the background for this one scene? I've only now realised that for this one scene, animators had to draw coins. Lineart, color and shade all of those little coins, one by one (remember, it's a 1992 movie, where computer technology wasn't as advanced as today and most things were handdrawn). Like I drew flowers on Piro's doodle page and at some point I just started to copy-paste them because otherwise it would take me forever.
And they did in by hand.

Chikin Nuggit Headcanons #1
• After his redemption arc, Chikin loves rainy days much more than sunny ones
• Slushi's favorite anime genre is action (or generaly animes heavy on violence and gore) and shoujo. Few of her favorite animes are:
Jujutsu Kaisen
Madoka Magica
And Ouran High School Host Club
• Fwench Fwy and Iscream knew eachother before and even cought feelings for eachother but were forced to go their separate ways
• Both Slushi and Chikin dosen't like summer. Expect Slushi has one (1) thing she is excited when the summer comes. Convensions
• Chikin's favorite season is Fall
• After all the things that happend to him in the series, Chikin has got depression and night terrors reminding him of all the bad things he had done
• Bezel loves old time fashioned stuff
• Bezel is an theatre kid and can sing very well
• Bezel also met Bill Cipher in person. He liked the guy, very classy and witted (and chaotic)
• Slushi is an animation/art student
It's still impressive you can work on one drawing for 3 days in a row. My work schledule looks more-or-less like this:
Decide to work on something today
Get up and sit down by my desk
Think of the music I want listen to work
I have no idea which one
I search YouTube for inspiration
I see a nice animatic
I watch
I keep watching more stuff
I realise it's pointless to sit by desk and watch YouTube so I lay down on my bed and watch
It's bed time
I don't want to sleep
I write down or doodle few thing and call it a day
I go to sleep
And this is just most common scenario. Sometimes I get to write few thing down by day, get weirdly tired and go for a short nap, which ends after like, 2 hours and it's already evening and now I won't sleep
So as you cav see I have NO self control over either my work or my body, haha

MOST OF THE ART I'VE POSTED ARE PRE-PREPARED AHAHA the refs were made more than a month ago for ArtFight, but there are bits and pieces of older and newer art that is posted alongside (especially for Emerald cuz I draw them the most often 😅) the most recent one that I've posted of Rudolph was made quite literally yesterday though hope this answers your questions lolol, I aim to post more really soon!
