We Live In Time - Tumblr Posts

This was another of our fears: that Life wouldn't turn out to be like Literature.

Thank you for responding!
Agree on the currency of 1984, as ironic as it is to be saying that 40 years post title and 75 years (!) after it was first published. However, oppression never seems to go out of style unfortunately.
I'm of the opinion that the Branson "Hot Air" project will never get off the ground (pardon the pun). Or if it does, it will be one of those that sits on the shelf for a decade. As you noted, it was for television and the genre is littered with projects that, for a variety of reasons, just languish. Still bummed about the del Toro work but that's the biz.
I would absolutely love to see a trailer for 'We Live In Time,' perhaps one will come out as the summer movie season (U.S.) begins in theaters. I apologize for continually mentioning summer in the northern hemisphere as I well know that it's summer (verão) now for many people!
Hey there, how you been? Crazy busy here but thank you for all the content updates. Popped in and see that people going crazy about AG's private life, but enough about that; I was beyond excited to learn about the Orwell audiobook. I have enjoyed a lot of actor/actress readings in that format so I'm looking forward to this, especially since I've read most of Orwell's works.
Haven't heard anything about if Voyagers started filming yet have you? When I saw your recent posts I figured maybe not since they were personal shots and not set shots.
I think We Live In Time is set for an August release? Going to be a looooong summer.
Yes, dear @tarzinnia, this week was crazy for some reasons.
But, I can’t wait for some "We Live In Time" trailer to come out. I still haven’t found anything about a really set date to start filming "Voyager’s". But this project so far, is still with him. I also look forward to "George Orwell’s 1984". Aside from Andrew being on the project, "1984" is - unfortunately and painfully - more current than ever. Just do not know what will happen with the project "Hot Air" - the mini series about the life of Richard Branson, since Branson is being investigated for alleged crimes (in the 'Epstein's case'). Nothing is being said about this project, so maybe it is a case of 'cat went up on the roof'. For now that’s all I know. Thank you for asking, dear 🫶🏼

I cannot be the only cinemaphile anticipating the summer release of We Live In Time, the John Crowley directed drama starring Florence Pugh and Andrew Garfield in the lead roles. The talented duo have Academy Award nominations, and the buzz from the Irish Mirror via MSN is that perhaps director Crowley has made a film that could earn him consideration as well.
Here's a blurb from the article written by Ruairi Scott Byrne:
"John Crowley's film Brooklyn was in the running for Best Picture at the 2016 Academy Awards but the Dublin filmmaker narrowly missed out on a Best Director Oscar nomination. That could change this year thanks to his latest release, the upcoming romance drama We Live in Time. The film stars Andrew Garfield and Florence Pugh, both Oscar nominees, and while plot details have not been revealed, production company StudioCanal describes the drama as a “funny, deeply moving and immersive love story”. The film has been picked up by renowned US distributors A24, who were behind Oscars juggernaut Everything Everywhere All at Once, with We Live in Time expected to be given a strong awards push ahead of next year's Oscars."

You put together two people who have not been put together before. Sometimes it is like that first attempt to harness a hydrogen balloon to a fire balloon: do you prefer crash and burn, or burn and crash? But sometimes it works, and something new is made, and the world is changed. Then, at some point, sooner or later, for this reason or that, one of them is taken away. And what is taken away is greater than the sum of what was there. This may not be mathematically possible; but it is emotionally possible.

This is great news! For awhile it was scheduled for summer and then perhaps not until 2025 so this is great as there are some late summer film festivals (Telluride, Toronto, and Venice) and with an October release then the potential for the film to show at one of those is not unthinkable. Wonderful!

I need it, like, now! 😭
Mr. Garfield sporting the "crop" trend of a short jacket but the real winner is the shirt--that nice pop of color underneath adds some flair. Looking forward to this fall and the long awaited release of We Live In Time with Florence Pugh. Now that movie lovers have a trailer, we can cross our fingers that it will be a hearty fare that we can 'stew' over as the colder weather (yeah!) approaches.
