Why Didnt He Put It There - Tumblr Posts

with the whole confirmation that the festival will be happening tomorrow, it’s important to realize some key similarities and differences with the event and the people involved in said event.
similarities:
the event is staged to hurt someone. the festival that schlatt planned was all about hurting tubbo, revealing tubbo. this winter festival has some minor differences, but the essence of violence and revenge, the main point of hurting someone for what they did is still there no matter how deserved it might be viewed in the eyes of the cabinet.
differences:
everyone says tubbo is acting like schlatt, that tubbo’s the next schlatt, but we don’t actually see much of the same mannerisms shared between those characters. you know who we do see it in though? quackity.
tubbo is a child, a traumatized one who, when he finally decides to grow some sort of backbone and make decisions for a country he leads, is compared to what we would equate to his abuser. he is no schlatt, his trauma has shaped him away from that mentality, but quackity on the other hand...
quackity is the one we see claiming that l’manburg needs revenge on techno, the person who orchestrated the entire butcher army before he had any “government” approval. he wants revenge in the same ways schlatt wanted, encouraged tubbo when he put forth the idea for the festival, and has just been altogether violent and reckless towards the things he feels has betrayed him. this is what compares quackity to schlatt. schlatt wanted revenge on tubbo for his spying habits, so he orchestrated an entire festival to become the end of one of his lives in a purely spiteful manner, nevermind the fact that the people he was so angry against were very vocal about their standings before he was inaugurated. that anger is similar with quackity and techno’s relationship (boutta become a bit of a techno apologist): techno was upfront with all of his beliefs in the beginning, and yet the people of l’manburg were surprised when he felt betrayed at their formation of government.
quackity is acting like a mentor to tubbo, which is why we see these comparisons of tubbo to schlatt. tubbo is being encouraged into that kind of behavior by quackity despite his attempts to stay away from it. however, his morals remain very much intact, which is a key difference between him and schlatt that i feel will be revealed when he is forced to make a big decision. will he choose a violent path and become a more hardened and cruel version of himself, or will he fall back to his past self and reactions? quackity is holding the reigns here, and it’ll be tubbo’s decision on whether or not he wants to stay in his seat.
this is more of a personal tidbit, but though i believe ranboo will be found out likely at the festival or sometime very soon, i doubt tubbo would actively wish for someone to go through what he did at his own self-decorated funeral. dream is a bit of an outlier here when it comes to these canon death possibilities, as because he is considered the server admin, he probably has an unlimited amount (or at least vastly higher amount) of lives due to his ownership of the smp. kinda like a god freebie, if you will.
tubbo will either let quackity make the decision when (not if) they find out about ranboo’s book (which 9 times out of 10 will end in ranboo losing a canon life), or he will make it himself, hopefully without any of quackity’s input.
