i looooove my friends. it's sooooo amazing to have my interests and hard work rarely taken seriously and acknowledged only by the same responses every time i fucking talk to you like i'm cycling through some NPC sidequest dialogue. worked multiple hours on something and all i get is "that's neat". i can understand you not knowing what to say, but at the same time how is that even possible. i always try to compliment YOUR work to the best of my ability. you know artists yourselves -- hell, one of you has a girlfriend who draws and the other one of you is literally AN ARTIST YOURSELF -- and i'm sure you treat them more seriously than you treat me. i'm tired of this shit. not even a "wow, what's the name of the character?" or literally anything else. and that's not even starting on my other friend who i can only speak to through text, always responding to an art i've slaved over for literal fucking days on end with "the silly" "the gays"(???) or some other half-assed "aww the skrunkly"-esque response. anyway thanks sooo much you guys. fuck off

vent post tw vent also speaking of my interests. i loooooveee simon belmont you know that very well :3 but when i try and talk about the boyo to my friends they've just dumbed him down to “the bdsm man” and like yeah okay it was kiiinnnddd of funny the first time but can you absolute imbeciles PLEASE listen to me actually TALK about my favourite characters and their stories? please? all the time i've basically forced myself to make sex jokes about him now because they won't listen otherwise oh! and i can't forget just pouring my heart out in general! all i get is the same things. all they do is pick out specific things i say that make their brain “ding” like fucking troglodytes and then just poke fun at that. not even listening half the damn time. i'm not friends with this person anymore (wonderful riddance) but i'm using them as an example for what i'm going through right now but one time i was talking about lament of innocence and its lore. and i mentioned the vampire killer. and the fact that it's a powerful ancestral weapon passed through the belmonts' generations because its the only thing that can kill dracul and this bitch decides to laugh at me because they heard “incestral” instead of “ancestral”. i'm not even sure if “”“incestral”“” is a fucking word. but yeah it's so amazing to deal with this shit day in and day out and an acquaintance of mine deliberately asked me why i'm “obsessed with it”. 'it' being castlevania. “so much” and i don't fucking know??? but either way could you please listen to me talk about it for ONCE. please and i'm not blaming them for not listening to me all the time i guess you know i am obsessed with it. pretty sure it's a hyperfixation atp and i can't help that it's literally The Only Thing i actually find passion in these days and brings me joy and it's okay that you don't want to listen to it 24/7. i get that. not everyone is interested in these games from the 1980s-2000s lmao but could you just listen? once? please? must i bend over backwards and adhere to abhorrent modern words for you to listen to me? why must this be so difficult?
