And if the latter, do you want me to draw the actual segment, or Eva’s interruption of the segment, or both like I draw the horse segment but it is cut off with a glitch effect into Eva hiding while broadcasting? My Witherburn Afterschool News Theory
The Disappearances- obviously it's something to do with the Clarks, but I think they're running a cult in the town that are sacrificing the kidnapped people to some kind of God. I'm not sure if this god is real, but I suspect it's the man that the mayor was babbling about in Episode 21, which does somewhat incline me to believe that there is a real person they're worshipping, although I'm not sure if he has magical powers or not. They are probably sending out members of the cult into the woods to lure in the kids that they would then kill. This cult has also been going since at least the 1950s, kidnapping and killing outcasts since then, but has recently started to up its activity.
The Monsters- I'm still not sure if there are monsters or not. If there are monsters then I think they are being caused by the cults activity, possibly with the kids being turned into them, as was said to have happened to Evelyn Grahm as described in Episode 8. This is also backed up by several of the mlMonsters of the Week being missing children transformed into monsters (Episodes 4, 10, 20). Alternatively, if there are no monsters then I think they are the actions of the cult being seen by outsiders and misunderstood, see Monster of the Week Episode 3, 17 and 21. Honestly with what we know so far this could go either way, but I'm thinking somewhere in the middle, that there's real monsters being brought about by the cult, while people are mistaking their activities in the woods for monsters. Honestly this just depends on what the writers find scarier, the body horror of the transformation, or the cult terrorising a small town.
Hunter and Eva- I think Hunter was recruited to the cult by his parents, who encouraged his his horrible behaviour in order to provide the cult with a scapegoat when the time came. I think Eva was forced to join the cult by her father and was leaving the graffiti in order to sabotage the cult without being caught. As for her claim about them summoning the apocalypse, I'm not sure. She may have lied to, or this could be accurate, we don't have enough information yet. Either way it probably won't make a difference this season, which is the time frame I'm working from.
What I think is coming next- I think that the Reporter will go onto the Clarks secret land in the finale after the cult has betrayed her by going back on their work and taking someone else. I think they will then kidnap her while she's there, in an attempt to force her back into speaking in their favour. I think the actual Witherburn Afterschool News program will then be taken over by either one of the Reporters relatives, or by Birdie who will be trying to save the Reporter from the cult, while fighting the disinformation they would be spreading through the Reporters mouth.
That's just what I think will happen, and I hope I've got at least a few things right.
I've not listened to it yet, I'm planning on listening to it today. To be honest it only uses up until Episode 22 because the transcript for 23 was bugged out.
Yeah, I'd like to know what the cult are getting out of the apocalypse, if there is one, because that always bugs me in media, why people want the apocalypse to happen

I've been thinking about what kind of dress the reporter got herself for homecoming, so this is my idea for birdie and the reporter

I'd just like to ask, is there anything to back up my headcannon of the Reporter being in a wheelchair?
Like I have said I am down with pretty much any headcanon. She isn’t described for a reason. Though I will admit that she canonically can be heard walking. Though she could be an amiblitory user. But honestly if you think she uses a wheel chair go for it. I would love to see fanart or fanfic that sounds awesome.

I'm not sure if they've been described in some way yet, but these are the faces I see when they are mentioned In the episodes.
It's so hard to be in a small fandom, because what do you mean I have to draw the fanart I want MYSELF ???!?
With that being said, today I shall dedicate to listening to all of witherburn after school news again and noting down ideas for fanart.
Has anyone figured out what the clicking in episode 14 was about at 10:00 - 10:37 in witherburn after school news?
I figure it's morse code considering it was used in previous episodes. But I don't have the comprehension skills to decipher that (I've tried and failed).
Basically a comic of the reporter getting a hug because I think she really needs one after episode 22
The comic is a bit messy in terms of posing etc. because this is basically the first time I’ve attempted anything like a comic since I was like 12. also only a sketch because I wasn’t happy how I was doing line art or color in all this.
Ivy Groeder. Because of course I have to draw the character that was mentioned once in episode 6, just because the reporter said she was goth.

Today I have taken care of some of my responsibilities toward my DND campaign, so tomorrow I can continue my slight fanart obsession for witherburn after school news.
