Synopsis - Pretty simple, a set of hcs describing BTS and their tendencies as Yanderes
Warnings - Acts of violence, branding, mentions of kidnapping, Literal murder.
Authors Note - I'm going to be constantly filling my queue with headcanons just to keep you guys fed with more content, most of it will be fandoms I want to write for yet don't really have the time for a full fledged fic
A friendly reminder that all my works are dark fanfiction! Please if you do not like that do not read them! This is your final warning before hitting the keep reading button!!
Jin - Delusional
He will actively treat you as if you'd been together for years
Somewhere deep in his mind he knows that you two are not actually together but why would he face that reality when he could just change his own
Slowly as time progresses and he has you stuck in his clutches he's going to drive you to the point of believing the fantasy he's been living
When Jin kills he makes up some excuse that's he'd had in his head, like a guy you'd known for a while the entire time was stalking you and waiting for the perfect moment to kill you! He swears!
He'll begin change memories and things you for sure know about yourself
It's all in a futile attempt to change his reality to be yours as well
Namjoon - Overprotective
Joon will go to war over you
If anyone dares to touch you he's instantly onto them, attacking, yet he picks his fights well
Being connected to money knows men in both high and low places, willing to do anything for a buck
Joon will never get his hands dirty messing with shit like that. He's too busy pampering and protecting you to worry. Unless it's a instant thing that he can't wait to maliciously organize. He will take that risk to make you safer
Yet his overprotection is smothering, he'll lock you away and make you believe that your in danger 24/7
The world is dangerous and under his care you'll be safe and loved!
Yoongi - Possessive
He loves making the world aware of how yours his and his only
You belong to Yoongi.
He'll show that possession based on how you act, be good and he'll leave a few hickeys and what not, nothing too big of a deal
Yet act out of line and that turns into more permanent means such as tattoos, which he will gladly pay for
This possessive side of him also comes out when it comes to the people you surround yourself with,Yoongi often picking your âbadâ friends off one by one claiming that he knows what's best for you
In the end your utterly alone, Yoongi controlling every aspect of your social life, always seemingly upping the stakes everytime you act out of line
Hoseok - Clingy
He can't live without you
So anytime you get iffy and are about to leave he makes threats to not harm you but harm himself keeping you trapped in this perpetual loop of not leaving him out of pity for him
This man will spend every second with our and if he doesn't he swears he's dying
If you aren't living together, he will blow up your phone 24/7 and even a couple of minutes late he goes into a frenzy and blows up your phone even more, then using that as an excuse to come over
Once he sees that your fine he just kind of stays there not wanting to leave, and he will find the smallest task to do in your house
When it comes to him actually taking out people he sees as bad for you, he does that in complete secrecy. He didn't want to scare you away
The one thing about him is that he rarely gets mad because by him getting mad he can scare you away and why would he ever want that
Jimin - Manipulative
Jimin can lie like a mf.
He's probably done it straight from the start, using his persuasion to make himself more appealing to him
The worst part is that Jimin remembers his lies, so he keeps up with what's he's told you and what he hasn't
A prime example is that he's told you that Wednesday nights he gets busy with hanging out with his friends, a form of designated him time. That was a cover up only used once while he killed a perv that came on to you constantly at work, but Jimin kept this up always leaving Wednesday nights, having that be some sort of allotted time for him to get his anger out and fuck up anyone who fucks with you
He's also always painted others a villian when you find out about some of the things he'd been doing, like telling your friends off and demanding for them to leave you alone
Hed claim that they'd hurt him or were planning to hurt him, and how could you say he was wrong, he was the most honest man you met your entire life
If you only knew how often he'd been lying just to keep you around
Taehyung - Obsessive
He has a shrine. That's right a shrine.
That's how obsessed Taehyung is.
His shrine is filled with little things he's kept as a form of remembrance to you. Like a strand of your hair or a pair of your panties he'd kept after snooping around in your room
And he will not let up his obsessive stalking and spying when you eventually decide to get with him and be official
When it comes to murder he has no qualms with doing it, plus he can just keep on hiding and hiding it
He just hides it better, and most his behavior is seen as romantic to you since well, you are a couple
He just doesn't know how to act in a relationship⌠right?
Jungkook - Self Indulgent
Literally everything he does with you or too you is for his own gain
Being with you, all apart of his own gain. Not only are you attractive but you will stay with him no matter what he does out of fear! That's perfect for him
He's a creepy dude, and won't shame you for thinking that, he's powerful too. His status just speaks for itself
Even when he kills for you, he makes sure that he gets some gain from it too, without that gain for the both of your or the couple as a whole, why would he even worry about it
can we get amnesia trope with namjoon pleaseee?
Never Forget You
Pairing: Mafia!Kim Namjoon x Reader

3000 celebration

âDo I know you?â
You visibly stiffened when you heard his deep voice. You tried to calm your heart that was beating too fast, tried to breathe slowly. But how could you pretend like nothing was happening when Kim Namjoon was literally standing in front of you? When it had been almost a year since you last saw him?
When it had been eight months since you left him?
When it had been eight months since you last saw him bruised and bloodied?
You heard him chuckled softly when a moment passed and you still didnât acknowledge him. You were terrified. You knew nothing was simple with him. You knew nothing was uncomplicated when it came to you and him⌠and Namjoon suddenly appearing in front of you made you lose all the progress you made.
You thought you had escaped him. Yet now, he was standing in front of you.
Suddenly, you were back to being that naive girl who loved him too much.
âIâm sorry if I scared you. Itâs just thatâŚyou looked familiar,â Namjoon trailed off when you finally looked up at his tall form. The first thing you noticed was the scar on the side of his forehead, a clear and bitter reminder of how the two of you ended on what seemed like lives ago. The second thing you noticed was the color of his hair. The old Namjoon would never dare color his hair, but the man in front of you was spontaneous enough to do so.
The last thing you noticed about him was his eyes- they were no longer angry. His eyes looked as angelic as the first time you met him. Kim Namjoon looked at peace.
And so, you lied.
You lied because he deserved the peace and you were terrified.
âIâm sorry. I donât know you.â
The second time you crossed paths with him again was after two months. You decided to move again the very next day that you saw him. You were certain you werenât safe, that you needed distance from him for your sanity and his peace. However, destiny seemed to laugh at your efforts.
You were walking, your eyes focused on the scenery on your way to work when you felt someone crashed into you, cold liquid poured on your white shirt. The dark contrast of coffee against your shirt was enough to make you lose your composure. You were about to unleash hell on the assailant when you saw who it was.
However, his face shut you up. Of course it was him. Again.
âIâm so sorry!â Kim Namjoon exclaimed in a horrified voice, his mouth focused on your wet shirt and the see-through brassiere that you snapped your fingers in front of him.
âEyes up here, Namjoon!â
He looked at you sheepishly, rubbing the back of his neck when he realized what you saidâŚwhen he realized what you called him. Suddenly, he lost the apologetic look on his face, his eyes widened with curiosity and suspicion.
âWhat did you just call me?â He asked in a deep voice. He tilted his head to the side, his mannerism even before the accident. You hated how you still knew about this. You so badly wanted to erase him from your thoughts.
In fact, it should have been you who lost the memories. In that way, you would be able to escape his memories: the good and the bad.
You stepped back when he walked closer to you. You were glad that this happened in public. You wouldnât be this glad, though, if this happened eight months ago. If this happened eight months ago, Namjoon would just simply take what he wanted regardless of the consequences.
âYou called me Namjoon,â he stated, his eyes taking you in. He looked lethal despite the changes in him. For heavenâs sake, the old him wouldnât be caught wearing a tote bag like he did now. The old him wouldnât even dare wear whatever he color of clothes he was wearing right now.
You opted to look at his chest rather than his eyes, which he found rather unacceptable. You gulped when you felt his finger tilting your chin up to meet his eyes. âDo you know me, sweetheart?â
Sweetheart. The one he used to call you so lovinglyâŚyet sometimes he did so mockingly. You were shaking when you met his curious eyes.
He chuckled without any emotions when moment passed and you didnât confirm nor deny. âWas I a bad person that you would lie to me about knowing me?â
He wasnât. Until love or rather, until obsession swallowed him whole.
For the second time, and what probably was the last time, Kim Namjoon let you go. The tears that were pooling in your eyes were enough for him to gently let you walked away from him.
âAre you going to be honest now?â He asked his father who was sitting in front of him as though he was the king himself. In a way, he was. They sat on top of the hierarchy in the underworld, and Kim Namjoon before the accident was the King when his father stepped down. He was the king, yet he couldnât lead right now because of his memories.
They said he was chasing after someone when it happened.
They said the person wasnât important and that the person was now gone.
The doctor was confident that he would remember everything in due time, which was fine to him. Really. It was fine. However, he felt a constant stabbing pain in his heart. He felt incomplete. He felt as though his world lost its balance.
Something was missing.
Someone was missing.
Because if not, how could he explain the dreams that both haunted and enchanted him each night? How could he explain the scenes similar to that of a movie whenever he closed his eyes of a girl who loved him?
Someone loved him.
And he was desperate to remember her, to get her back in his arms where she obviously belonged. He was simply restless.
âWhat are you talking about, son?â
Gently, he laid his palm on the wooden table. He leaned in, his calmness a mask to his insanity. Namjoon was always calm, yet his calmness was lethal. His father knew about this. Most especially, you knew about this. âDonât lie to me,â he whispered in his deep voice. âWho was I chasing that night, father?â
His father thought he deserved the truth, yet he didnât want to him to know. His son had always been levelheaded, yet when it came to you, his ever-loving sanity vanished. Personally, he thought it was a blessing in disguise when he forgot about you.
He shouldâve known, Namjoon would never just let go. His obsession was stronger than the clean state of his memories. He recognized that obsession because he too was once obsessed with Namjoonâs mother. And it was his love that drove her away.
He didnât want it to happen to Namjoon.
Yet, it still did. He drove you away.
âAnd this time, please donât lie to me.â
He regarded him with his eyes, âYou were chasing your fiancĂŠ that night.â
Three months passed, and you hadnât seen him since then. You moved once again, living peacefully. Or so you thought.
It had been thirteen months since you escaped from him. The car chase was something you would never want to relive, yet you could remember it clear as day. His love suffocated you. What was once a sweet relationship turned sour when he let the darkness won. He terrified you. His love was obsessive, his embrace became tighter, his kisses became more desperate the more he felt you pulling away. But didnât he realize you pulled away because he stopped being the Namjoon you fell in love with?
And when you finally discovered how deep his obsession was, how people suddenly disappeared when he felt they were a threat, you had the courage to leave him. But he didnât take it easy. Of course, he didnât. When he found your ring on his bedside table, he lost it.
And that was how the car chase happened. That was how he lost you.
You turned your head to look in front of you when you heard someone sat. You thought that finally, your date your coworker set you up with finally arrived. But instead of him, Kim Namjoon was there.
He sat down comfortably, his eyes focused on the menu. And you knew, you just knew that he was back. His hair was dark once again. Gone was the tote bag and simplicity in his clothes. Now, he was sporting the usual suit you knew he favored.
It scared you that he hadnât once looked up at you. He only did so when he placed his order, and you noticed he ordered for two. He ordered your favorite.
He remembered now.
âW-what are you doing here?â Your voice trembled as you took him in.
âYouâre here, sweetheart. Where else would I be?â He asked in a mocking voice, his eyes finally on yours as he took you in.
Thirteen months you ran.
Thirteen months he lived without you.
He had enough.
âWhat did you do to himâŚâ
He leaned in, his head tilted to the side. âDonât worry, sweetheart. We onlyâŚtalked.â
âDonât lie to me!â You hissed, anger getting the best of you. âWhat. Did. You. Do?â
Suddenly, the restaurant was emptied by men wearing dark suits. And then they dragged the bloodied man inside. You were crying, you didnât realize until Namjoon wiped your tears. He hated seeing you cry. It was his weakness.
Perhaps, he loved you too much.
âShh,â he comforted you, standing up to kneel beside you. He looked into your eyes with overflowing love, with too much love that it drowned you. âNothing will happen to him. I promise you.â
He kept his promises, always.
After all, he promised you that he would never leave you. And beyond his memory loss, he never left you. Namjoon kept on coming back.
âIf you marry me now, nothing would happen to him.â
You looked at his sincere eyes. He looked worried over your state. âDo you promise?â
âYes, sweetheart. I promise.â
That night, he slipped back the ring you left. That night, Kim Namjoon promised that he would love you forever.
That night, he promised to himself that he would never let you escape againâŚand that he would never forget you again.

When you tried to move on from them
Pairing: Hyung line x Reader
Warnings: Soft Yandere, Cheating, Obsessiveness, Possessiveness, Manipulative behavior, Attempt at ending oneâs life, Sexual themes, If youâre not 18+ please, PLEASE, do not interact. Be mindful of the warnings. Let me know if I miss anything.
A/N: why on earth is this 5kish long? This part is darker than the maknae line (for me at least) precisely for the reason that hyung line would plan before springing into action which makes them moreâŚdangerous. I hope you enjoy this! And for real, read the warnings okay.

Namjoon
You blinked in surprise when you entered the house. You thought it was a nightmare came to life when you saw Namjoon sitting there with your mom. The two of them were chatting and laughing, hot cup of tea on the table.
It was Namjoon who first saw you, his eyes flashing a certain heat before he smiled at you sweetly. âFlower, youâre here!â
You frowned at him before turning to look at your mother who was smiling fondly at the two of you. âHe said he wanted to surprise you. Your fiancĂŠ is so sweet, darling. Despite his busy schedule, he had it in him to go to our province. What a sweet man,â she cooed at him before tapping his hand.
FiancĂŠ?
âOf course. I wanted to see how my future mother-in-law is doing,â he replied with the sweetest smile on his face that even you were almost fooled. âI worry about your health.â
Your mother laughed sheepishly, âNamjoon, son, you can call me mom. Thereâs no need for formality.â
âOkay, mom.â
What. The. Fuck?
Your mother excused herself, saying something about making dinner seeing as Namjoon would be staying.
Once she was out of earshot, you marched to him and pulled him outside the house. And he was all too willing to be pulled by you. After all, it had been three months since you started ghosting him after he pleasured you in the studio. It was heartbreaking, really. He woke up without you and hadnât seen you since then.
He lose it the moment he found out you left.
You were just too intelligent about evading him. He hated that.
Consequently, your intelligence was what also attracted him to you.
He was smiling down at you as you faced him. You looked behind him to see if your mother was anywhere near before completely laying it out on him.
âWhat the fuck are you doing here?â You hissed, dropping his thick wrist. It was already dark and the only light was from the house and the street light situated outside. At your smaller form, his shadow was tauntingly touching you. He was so tall that you had to tilt your head to meet his intense stare full on. âAnd what do you mean fiancĂŠ?! You know what, I heard intelligent people tend to lose it but I never thought you would! And who said you can visit my mom, Kim Namjoon?! I need you to leave. You know sheâs not well and any additional stress would be detrimental for her!â
You were breathing hard when you stopped berating him. Yet, he remained smiling at you, his dimpled cheeks would be considered charming if not for the fucked up thing that he did to you.
âI miss you,â he admitted softly, his eyes taking you in. God, he did miss you. It had been hell without you. You werenât completely wrong, he did lose it. And he only managed to get his sanity back when he saw you. âLetâs not separate from each other this long again, my flower.â
You rolled your eyes, âI donât miss you-â
âDonât say things you donât meanâŚyouâre not a liar,â he teased as he shook his head a little. âAnd besides, do you have it in you to tell your mother the truth? Hmm? At her state, are you willing to break her heart?â He taunted you, his hand gently cupping your cheek. âAfter all, isnât it her wish to see her only child happy and married?â
Your eyes widened at his implication, at how he carelessly talked about your motherâs health. There were so many truths in what Namjoon said. He had you backed in the corner, but you wouldnât go down without a fight. âYou need to lea-â
âDinnerâs ready!â Your mother shouted, her face relaxed, a rare sight since she started her treatment. It left you no choice but to nod at her assuringly before turning to look at you ex-boyfriend.
âYouâre going to excuse yourself. Youâre going to say you have a work emergency. Youâre going to leave tonight. Do I make myself clear?â
His dark eyes twinkled with delight. âYes, maâam.â
You did make yourself clear, but you should have known he was a stubborn man. You were the one for him, and if that was the case, shouldnât he fight with all his might to stay with you?
âIâm so full. Thank you for the meal,â he said politely, rubbing his stomach with a smile.
âYou must have been so tired, Namjoon. Why donât you stay here tonight?â
âMom!â You called her in disbelief, your eyes widened at what she suggested.
âWhat?â
âW-we have no more room. Iâm sure heâs needed back in Seoul.â
âNo, Iâm not. And youâre right, mother. Iâm so weary I donât think I can make it back safely to the city tonight.â
âSee? You can sleep in her room.â
âMom!â Wasnât she the conservative type?
âItâs fine. Heâs your fiancĂŠ. Heâs practically family by now. If it was up to me, you two would be married by now.â
You were full on glaring at him as he entered your room after your mom bid the two of you good night. Namjoon smiled sweetly at you before putting his bag down. Wasnât he too ready to stay here with that huge bag of his?
He looked around your small room, his huge frame making your bedroom looked even smaller.
âI thought I told you to leave?â
He nodded before standing in front of you, âYes, you did.â
âSo why didnât you?â
âI donât remember agreeing,â he murmured, gently sauntering to you similar to that of a hunter. His deep voice was making you feel things you didnât want to feel, his proximity weakening your resolve.
You pushed his muscular chest non too gently. âIâm not playing this game with you, Namjoon. If you have any respect for me, you would leave me alone.â
He chuckled under his breath, his dark eyes gazing into yours. And before you knew it, you couldnât stepped back anymore, your back completely against the wall. He lost all playfulness in his face, his hands on either side of you. âWho says Iâm playing, flower?â He murmured, his face slowly leaning down to your neck. You felt him inhale your scent, the hair of your neck standing up. Perhaps, it recognized the danger you were in. You dared not move, waiting for the large man to do something. âAnd itâs because I respect us that I know we deserve another chance. Iâm fighting for us, flowerâŚregardless if Iâm fighting alone.â Or fighting even you.

Seokjin
You scoffed at another bouquet of flowers delivered at your temporary apartment. Beside the flowers was a velvet box containing a gold necklace with a diamond pendant. The letter you were holding in your hand read that he missed you. It was the same thing everyday. You thought he was just wasting his time. You thought he would stop after a month. But it was almost three months and yet, the gifts kept coming. It was getting more ridiculous and more expensive as the days went by. At your anger, you threw his gifts one day. But then the morning came and he sent you a message that sent shivers down your spine.
âDonât throw away my gifts, sweetheart. You know it hurts me.â
But how did he know?
You werenât even surprised that Seokjin was able to trace you, not when he had too much resources in his hands. You should have known the extent of his power. He never liked to wield his familyâs power. Your Seokjin before was the most humble man you ever met, never boasting about their inherent wealth and position in the world. Yet, this Seokjin didnât hesitate to use it when it came to you.
Apparently, you were his breaking point.
To be honest, you were terrified of him now. You felt like you were threading a thin line, and one of these days he would snapped.
You didnât want to know what would happen then.
And so it felt like a blessing in disguise when you started working in a new company, only to find out that one of your closed professor was affiliated there as well. Now, you were offered to work a big project abroad. You didnât even hesitate. You agreed and now it was only a week before you leave the country for a year.
You needed the space to think and heal yourself. The moment you left him was the moment you started focusing on yourself, giving your all to your career. After all, it was all you had left of you. You were no longer crying every night. You knew you were healing slowly.
As opposed to what your friends wanted you to do, you didnât want to go out and date yet. You wanted to focus on yourself and be the best version of yourself. But his constant presence despite his absence was halting your progress. How could you move on completely if he kept reminding you that he was just there patiently waiting?
Perhaps, your own breaking point was when you received yet another gift from him. Only this time, it was a small, velvet box. Inside sat a ring with a huge diamond that almost blinded you from how it reflected back the light, as though it was taunting you. You knew what it was. You didnât need to read the card he carefully wrote on to know what it was, âSweetheart, letâs get married in June.â
At your unrestrained anger, you messaged him without thinking about where he was. In an instant, he replied that you should meet him at his restaurant, the one he secretly bought and showed you before in excitement. It was his first child, he said, something that was only his without the public knowing. You were there when it was merely starting, doing the hard work with him, dreaming with him, helping him.
Perhaps, that was why you were reluctant to go there. But you knew this had to stop. If you wanted to start anew with nothing and no one holding you back, you needed to speak to the man who broke you.
You parked your car in front of a dimly lit restaurant. With a pinched brows, you warily looked around. The place was usually full of people. Customers needed to book a table for a month before they could be catered.
So why then was it empty?
You would have turned around if not for the warm lights swarming a small area of place. You were surprised to see the door open. You were doubtful about his whereabouts, almost certain that he was messing with you if not for the message he sent that he was already there. The sound of your footsteps were deafening to you as you ventured further. You turned a corner and saw his seated form. He was looking at the floor to ceiling window, your personal touch. His eyes were focused on the scenic view outside as though he was deep in thought. With his legs spread apart and his hands resting leisurely on the table, Kim Seokjin looked as breathtaking as the day you met him.
You thought he looked even more handsome now. Of course, why wouldnât he? It wasnât as if it was him who lost sleep over a broken heart.
With a deep breath, you walked to him with a purpose. You shouldnât feel self-conscious, but you did. His head turned to you slowly, his eyes taking you in. You didnât even prepare for this. You were wearing your casual clothes, your hair in a tie and you werenât even wearing an ounce of makeup. Yet he looked like that. He was wearing a white long sleeves, the one you bought him before. His hair was brushed away from his forehead. Kim Seokjin looked expensive.
You may looked however you liked and he would still think that you were the most precious person in the whole world. He still looked at you like you were the moon itself.
His lips tilted up when he met your eyes, âSweetheart, you looked good-â
You marched to him and drank the glass of wine in front of him to completion. You needed the liquid courage to face him. He was watching you with raised brows, before signaling for the waiter to bring out the food and another glass.
âI ordered all your favorite food, sweetheart. Come on, take a seat-â
âJin,â you called him with a gritted teeth. You slammed your hand on the table, leaning in to look at his eyes, willing him to see how serious you were. âYou need to stop.â
He blinked, before tilting his head to the side. He leaned in closer to you, âStop what, sweetheart?â He whispered with a tone of confusion.
âWhatever youâre doing, you need to stop.â
âOh, you meant the gifts?â He asked in a thoughtful voice. You were appalled with the way he was acting. Was he really this delusional to think that what he was doing was in any way normal?
You took the offensive velvet box from your bag and placed it in front of him. He so slowly looked from your eyes down to the box you placed in front of him. âDidnât you like the ring?â
Suddenly, you felt like you lost all strength just from dealing with him. You sat down in front of him, willing the heavens to give you the patience you didnât possess at the moment.
âWhy on earth would you give me an engagement ring, Seokjin?â
âHmm, but arenât we dating to marry?â He asked, flashing you his sweet smile. Yet, his eyes remained empty. âIsnât that the goal, sweetheart?â
âIt was the goal before you broke my heart.â
He reached across the table, and you were too slow to evade his touch. He held your hands in his larger ones, his face contorting into regret and sadness, âAnd I said sorryâŚnumerous times, sweetheart. Until when are you going to punish us over an oversight? Over something that I would atone for the rest of my life? Until when are you going to be away from me?â His eyes glistened with tears, his voice sincere- so sincere that you were almost swayed.
But apologies meant nothing when you were still shattered on the ground.
You shook your head slowly, meeting his eyes with you determined ones. âI know you are sorry, Jin. And I am, too. But it doesnât change the fact that we broke up.â
âSweetheart, no-â
âYou need to stop,â you squeezed his hand before he could even say anymore. You needed to finish this, you needed to close this chapter of your life. âNo matter what you do, Iâm not coming back anymore. Iâm leaving Korea. I need to move on,â you whispered, looking at the eyes of the man you once loved more than yourself. You offered him a sad smile for all the things you two went through, for all the happy memories and love that had nowhere else to go anymore. You smiled for the life you had with him, and now you were turning your back on it. âAnd you need to move on, too.â
You left him sitting there, alone with his head bowed down.
You felt lighter than you did in the past few months. You felt like you could breathe now. With an unhurried movement, you walked to your car and opened the door when a large hand suddenly pushed the door shut again. Heart beating faster, you turned around only to find Jin towering over you. He was breathing hard, his eyes burned with something you couldnât name. He had yet to turn to you, his body so close to you that you could feel heat emitting from him.
âJ-Jin-â
He shook his head, strands of his dark hair falling on his forehead. âYouâre not leaving Korea,â he stated, his brows furrowed. His jaw was clenched when he finally looked at you. âYouâre not leaving me.â

Yoongi
âHoney, heâs here..again,â your friend warned you knowingly before walking past you to her cubicle. You looked heavenward and groaned. If Yoongi thought bombarding you with his presence would do him any good, he couldnât be anymore wrong. It had been a full month since he started showing up wherever you were, uncaring if anyone recognized him. No matter where you ran, he would show up with a sad look on his face as though you kicked his dog. As though it was him who was hurt and not you.
The moment you stepped out of the building, Yoongi smiled at you. He was sporting an undercut- a thing you noticed despite him wearing a cap. It was for another of the groupâs music video, another concept that the fans were anticipating. He walked near to you, his hand reaching for your bag when you evaded his touch. He frowned when you did, sadness clouding his features. âHow was your day, kitten?â
You glared at him, the words of your officemates still fresh in your mind. They thought you didnât hear them, but you did. His actions were making them think that he was the one to be pitied when it was you that he broke. It was you who cried herself to sleep for so long that you thought you were going to die from sadness.
âI know. Itâs such a bitch thing to do.â
âRight? Who does she think she is?â
âThat poor guy.â
Was it your fault that this was how you wanted to move on?
Was it your fault you wanted nothing more to do with him?
âUntil when are you going to do this?â
He blinked slowly, his face showing all the seriousness he had. âUntil you come back to me.â
âIâm not. Iâm never going to come back to a cheater,â you said with a smile on your face before walking away from him.
âMaybe you should date again?â
âWhat?â You sputtered out, shifting your focus from your laptop to your friend who was standing beside you, leaning against the stack of paper you had in your office table.
âWell, Yoongi wouldnât stop, right?â
âRightâŚâ
âWhat if he see you out with someone else? Then maybe heâd accept that the two of you are finally done.â
You thought long and hard about what she said, and maybeâŚjust maybe this would work. You chose to ignore the warning thump of your heart, the one that knew how possessive he was, the one that knew how he reacted before when you interacted with other men.
You found yourself thoroughly enjoying someone elseâs company. It was the first date, yet he managed to intrigue you. His quick wit, sense of humor, and gentlemanly ways softened your heart. You were still smiling when you entered your apartment late at night. In your arms was the beautiful bouquet of flowers he got you. You turned on the light and walked to your home when you saw him.
You screamed when you saw Min Yoongi sitting on your sofa, his eyes staring at nothingness. He lookedâŚdangerous, as though he was one wrong move away from losing it. Slowly, so slowly, he looked at you and then at the flowers you were holding.
You wanted to hide it from his vicious eyes. You wanted to hide it as though you did something wrong. But you didnâtâŚright?
âWhat the fuck are you doing here?! This is trespassing!â
He chuckled humorlessly before tilting his head to the side, âHow was your date, kitten?â
You stepped back without a thought when he stood up. âY-you need to leave,â your voice trembled, your eyes widened and your breaths were shallowed. Yoongi lookedâŚunstable.
âAre we equal now, kitten?â He murmured, his legs carrying him closer to you. He looked really curious, âI broke your trust, so your broke my heart.â
âItâs not the same-â
âDoes that mean all is fair now?â His low voice scared you now that he was nearer. His dark eyes taking you in. âWill you take me back now?â
âI didnât cheat on you. You did. We are done. How does that count as cheating?â
âIâm getting impatient, kitten,â he confessed, looking down at his feet. He poked his tongue in his cheek, before slowly looking up at you. âI need you back or elseâŚI think Iâm really going to lose itâŚâ
You tried to push his body away from you, eager to create distance between the two of you. But his body remained grounded in front of you. âYou need to leave-â
âYouâre going to love me again,â he stated, so certain that you would. His dark eyes bore into yours. You were so distracted and intimidated with his proximity that you failed to notice the syringe he was holding. And before you knew it, a stinging pain could be felt in your neck.
And then you lost consciousness. But you need not worry, kitten. He was there to catch you.
âItâs done,â he said as soon as Hoseok picked up the phone. âMeet us in front.â

Hoseok
You frowned as you looked down at your ringing phone. Your exâs sister had been endlessly attempting to contact you, yet you didnât bother to read any of her messages. You only messaged her once to inform her that her brother and you were done, and you thanked her profusely on the kindness she showed on you. After all, she was almost like a family to you. Perhaps, that was why his betrayal hurt more. He wasnât the only one out of your life, but for your peace of mind and healing, his family as well.
It had been more than two months since you escaped from him with the help of Namjoon. It had been that long since you blocked every communication you had with him.
His betrayal still burned, but you were in the path of healing.
In fact, your friend convinced you to go out and try again. She said you didnât have to take the dates seriously, that you could just dipped your toes into the water again. You were in a relationship for so long that she wanted you to see what was out there. And so, you were trying.
You realized there was so much out there than what you originally thought.
Your phone rang once again when you got off work. Your finger hovered over the screen, and something told you that you should answer her. You brought your phone to your ear, your voice small as your greeted her.
âY/N! Iâm so glad you finally answered!â Her voice was oozing with worry, and if you could see her now you would pity the kind woman.
âW-why? Are you okay?â
âItâs about Hoseok-â
You were shaking your head before she could even finish, âI donât want to know anything about him anymore. Iâm sorry.â
âI know. I know, Iâm so sorry what he did was so wrong that I havenât been speaking to him. I am on your side, Y/N. Completely. B-butâŚheâs my brother, too. Iâm not asking you to take him back. I just⌠I just donât know what to do. He needs help, Y/N,â she hurriedly stated, scared that you wouldnât hear her out. She knew what she was going to ask of you was too much, but her love for her brother outweighed the shame.
You were quiet for so long that she thought you dropped the call. You were thinking hard about what she was saying. You didnât want to do this. You didnât want to see him. You didnât even want to care.
âWhat are you asking from me?â
âJust go to him. Just once. J-just convince him to seek help. Please. My mother and I no longer know what to do.â
You found yourself waiting outside the apartment you once shared with him, your eyes focused on your shoes as you waited for Hoseokâs sister to open the door. You didnât want to presume that the code didnât change. You didnât even want to try, you didnât want to know.
âYouâre here,â her worried voice woke you up from your reverie. She wrapped her arms around you gently like an old friend would before stepping away and looking at you with sorrow in her eyes. âIâm really sorry for what happened. And Iâm so sorry for dragging you back into this mess.â
You couldnât even say it was fine because it wasnât. Instead, you squeezed her hands and offered her an understanding smile. She lead you to what was once your room, pausing outside the door. She hesitated before looking at you.
âH-heâs not the most stable lately. Ever since Jimin saw you out with someone else, he has been like thisâŚâ
âJimin told him that?â You asked in disbelief, racking your brain on the past few dates you went to, all of which were harmless. When did Jimin see you?
She sighed before shaking her head, âHe really shouldnât have told him that. He knew howâŚintense Hoseok is when it comes to you. Youâll see.â
She knocked lightly on the closed door before opening it. The room was dark and cold, extremely opposite to how it was when you lived there. The only light that seeped through was now from the hallway. You could barely see a manâs form lying down on the bed, his back facing the door.
âHoseok, you have a visitor,â she called him tenderly, opening the door further so you could step in. Yet, you didnât. You didnât know if you should.
âSend them away,â he answered in the coldest and lowest voice you had ever heard from him. He didnât even lift his head, didnât even want to acknowledge whoever it was.
âHoseok, maybe you should-â
âI said I donât want to talk to anyone! I want to be alone! I deserve to be alone-â he suddenly screamed, turning his head to your direction. The vein in his neck was protruding from the force of his emotions. And the way he suddenly lost all his anger, the way his face mellowed down from fury to disbelief shocked you.
Suddenly, he had the strength when it had been months since he felt like he lost all his firmness. He stood up and ran to you, his hands cradling your face as he looked at you with wander in his eyes. His lips were trembling, his eyes looked desperate and borderline crazed as he finally saw the love of his life standing in front of him after you evaded him for months. It had been so long since he broke your heart and you in turn shattered his very being.
Didnât you know he wouldnât survive without you?
Didnât you know heâd rather perished than live in his world without you by his side?
His tears were falling from his eyes, drenching your hands that were trying to push his hand aside. âAngel,â he called for you sweetly, his trembling as he gazed into your eyes. âWhere have you been? Iâve been looking for you, my angel. Iâve busied myself buying you everything that you deserve. Our closet is full of things I know youâd like. Would you like to take a look?â
Your eyes widened the more he opened his mouth, the more you listened to his words that made no sense. You turned to look at his sister who was looking at you with worry. This was what she meant. Her brother did nothing but to fill his days with the thoughts of you, and yet he failed to take care of himself.
It didnât get past your notice that he looked tired, that he looked as though he hadnât been paying attention to himself. It was so opposite to what you knew of him. Hoseok was particular with the way he presented himself. He was disciplined in himself. But the man holding you right now was anything but the well-made man you knew.
Hoseok looked thinner.
âI-Iâm not here to come back to you,â you said in a wary voice, pushing him away but this time, you were successful. You tried to be as gentle as possible. After all, before the worst, he was the best. Before he broke you, he completed you. You were gentle to the version of Hoseok who loved you with all his heart, not the one who cheated on you.
He looked confused and saddened by your actions, his head tilted to the side.
âNo. No! Youâre here because you forgive me, right?â He insisted, his form kept on coming near you despite you evading his touches. âYouâre here because those boys canât love you the way I do, right?!â
âHoseok,â your voice trembled, your eyes shining with tears by just seeing his current state. You understood now why his sister was worried; Hoseok was on edge of the cliff.
He suddenly stopped, his arms falling lifelessly to his side. His head was bowed down, his dark hair obstructing his face.
âI hurt you,â he concluded sadly. The tall man in front of you looked like a lost child, like he had lost all the hope in the world and had already given up. âI hurt you. And I should just die.â
What?
You hadnât even processed what he said when he walked briskly to the kitchen, his strides purposeful. You and his sister ran after him, and you were almost too late. He had opened a bottle of pills and poured the contents in his open palm. He was about to put them inside his mouth when you hugged him so tight that he accidentally let go of them. They clattered on the floor around his feet.
You were openly crying now, your shoulders shaking. Your unstoppable tears drenched his shirt- and it was enough to snap him from whatever he was doing. He turned around, his brows pinched together as he looked at your unconsolable form.
âW-why are you crying, my angel?â Hoseok asked, tilting you chin to meet his empty eyes. âYou donât want me gone?â
You shook your head, pained that he was even capable of doing what he was about to do. âN-no. Please-â
âYou love me?â He asked, hope in his eyes. âYou take me back, then?â
His sister was watching the two of you, and at your hesitation, she mouthed âpleaseâ.
And so you nodded, and Hoseok pulled you in his arms, never to let you go. You didnât see the smirk he had in his face.

âI want a baby.â
You sputtered out the coffee you were drinking. Your eyes watered as you coughed. You tried to get your breathing under control as you looked at the imposing man sitting in front of you with his legs spread apart. He had not lifted his eyes from the laptop presented in front of him. He was idly looking at photos of paintings from the various exhibits you attended while he was busy with his groupâs schedule. As an idol, and on top of that the leader of the biggest group today, Kim Namjoon was an extremely busy person. You were his secretary for almost four years now. You took care of his personal life, while his personal assistant took care of his work life. You were there for him whenever he was done with his work schedule. You were there to make sure that he remembered to call his family during their birthdays, special occasions, and holidays. In fact, you were the first person he was keen on seeing once he landed from whatever country they were in for work. His members, specially Taehyung and Seokjin, let you know time and time again how much you were appreciated. If you werenât there, they thought that Namjoon would not be as put up as he was right now. You thought that Namjoon would survived without you.
You coughed twice before finally feeling like you could live. âWhat?â You asked him in confusion before wiping your self with the handkerchief he had somehow laid out in front of you.
Namjoon eventually looked up to you once he marked the photos of paintings he wanted to purchase. He leaned in, resting his elbow on his muscular thigh before plopping his chin on his hand. âI said, I want a baby.â
You squinted your eyes confusingly, âAs inâŚbaby as in baby? Or baby as in I donât know? Not an actual baby?â You knew even as you asked what he meant. Namjoon was the most intelligent man you knew, and he did not make mistakes when conversing. In fact, he was such a great conversationalist that the media loved to invite him on their shows.
SoâŚwhat brought this on?
âA child of my own, Y/N.â
That was not the first time he mentioned that. If you could remember clearly, he answered in some interviews that he really wanted to become a father. He even bought that cute little shoes when he was abroad just because. In your mind, you knew he would be the best father if how he took care of his members was any indicator. It broke your heart, though, to see him still alone after all this time.
âI meanâŚare you seeing someone that Iâm not aware of?â
He blinked at you, absorbing what you were asking. How could he had another woman when he spent almost all his free time with you? âNo.â
âT-then how?â You asked in puzzlement. You could see from his expression that he was serious about this. He rarely said anything without thinking it thoroughly in the complex and brilliant mind of his. This meant that he really did want to have a child of his own now.
You were finding it difficult to process this. Couldnât he just want another painting?
Namjoon merely shrugged his broad shoulders and went back to looking over the paintings.
You thought that was the end of it. But no. The second time he mentioned this was at Jinâs house.
You two were about to call it a day after running errands for him. To be honest, you were quite excited for tonight. You were set to meet with your college friends, including someone you always looked up to back in your college years because of his superior intellect. He was also always so kind to you, even walked you home to your dorm every night. But you were too immense in your studies back then that you had no time for relationship. But maybe, now?
You made sure to take more time to dress yourself up this morning. You even chose to swap your usual lipstick to a different shade that made you feel more alluring and beautiful. Your fingers touched the beautiful necklace Namjoon gave you on your birthday last year. You thought that the accessory was perfect with the dress you were wearing.
This would be an easy day for you, you thought to yourself seeing that RMâs schedule was just until the afternoon. You smiled at your reflection in the mirror, satisfied with your appearance before leaving the house. When you showed up at the company to pick him up, the staff politely informed you that the leader was still in the studio with Yoongi and that he told them to ask you to go directly there. You were walking to the floor where the studio was when you passed the three maknaes: Jimin, Taehyung, and Jungkook.
âOh, noona!â Jungkook called you, his voice in pleasant surprised as he looked at your face. His doe eyes took in your clothes with wonder before meeting your eyes again. âNoona! You look so pretty!â
Taehyung smiled at you and nodded his head. âOur noona looks so fashionable,â he commented as he checked out your get up today. You beamed at his compliment, happy that the fashionable Taehyung approved of you.
Jimin sauntered up to you, teasingly wrapping his arm around your shoulders before smirking at you. âOur noona has a date,â he speculated on a sing-song voice that made the other two chuckled.
âSo where is hyung taking you?â Jungkook pondered, excitement apparent in his eyes.
âDonât tell me heâs taking you to another exhibit? Aish, heâs so unromantic,â Taehyung lamented, shaking his head at the thought of his hyung and the disastrous date that was about to happen.
âHyung is not unromantic! As if you know anything about romance,â Jungkook pouted, fully on defending mode for his Namjoon hyung. His lips were in an adorable pout as he chastised Taehyung.
âI know how to be romantic!â
âAs if! Until when are you going to keep giving tickets to her until she shows up in our concerts, Taehyung?â
âShe will! I can still see her commenting in the weverse!â
âSo? Her bias is J-hope, not you!â
You chuckled at the threeâs cuteness. Taehyung was now the one pouting while Jungkook looked like he was enjoying tormenting his hyung. You watched them for a moment before finally correcting them. âHeâs my boss. Weâre not going on a date.â
The three maknaes looked at you with confusion in their eyes. âB-but, why are you so beautiful today?â
You squinted your eyes at Jimin, âSo Iâm not beautiful everyday?â
âN-No! Thatâs not what we meant-âJungkook denied quickly, his eyes widening even further. He was afraid of offending his noona because then, his hyung would looked at him with disappointment in his eyes.
You chuckled lightly, deciding on ending their distress by telling them that you were going to meet with your college friends tonight, in which they were silent. They looked at each other for a moment, as though speaking in telepathy before the oldest maknae spoke up.
âSo noona, is that an all-girls event, or no?â
âThereâs going to be boys. Why do you ask?â
He smiled at you cheekily, but this time the smile did not reach his eyes. âNothing.â
The three maknaes watched you walked away from them, your eyes focused on the tablet in front of you. They sighed in disappointment and worry.
âNamjoon hyung is going to lose his mind,â Taehyung finally broke the silence.
âI donât want to be here when he finds out noona is going to meet boys from her college,â Jungkook fretted, holding both Taeâs and Jiminâs arms.
âRM is going to be unbearable after this, isnât he?â Jimin stated with a smile that looked more like a wince. The few times you went out on a date, Namjoon was insufferable. He was quiet, too quiet that the maknaes were scared to make a mistake or speak too loudly. âShall we move to the mountains for a while?â
Yoongi opened the door, smiling politely at you before letting you in the studio. RMâs back faced you as he hunched over the workspace. He was deciding on what beat sounded best when you arrived.
âYouâre here, Y/N? Iâm almost done-â he trailed off once he turned his chair to look at you. His eyes widened before he managed to erase the awestruck expression in his face. But Yoongi saw. He smirked before sitting down on his workstation, looking up at the pair in front of him. The other one was an idiot despite being the most intelligent man in almost any room, and the other was a naive one. He hid his smile on the cup of coffee he was slowly sipping.
âNo worries, Namjoon. Take your time,â you smiled at him before sitting on the sofa. He was still not able to take his eyes off of you. And you, the ever naive one, only flashed him your professional smile.
And Yoongi was enjoying it all.
âYou looked different today, Y/N,â Yoongi commented tonelessly, egging the leader beside him. âRight, Namjoon?â
You blushed as you could feel your bossâ heavy eyes on you. You flashed Yoongi a shy smile before turning to look at Namjoon. It was a moment, a heartbeat too long before he replied with seriousness in his voice, âShe always looks beautiful, Yoongi.â
He wanted to add that you looked like a masterpiece, one that had different meanings whenever he looked at it during different times in his life. You were timeless, his heart wanted to add. However, his brain was deaf in his heartâs true desires.
You blinked at his sudden praise on you. âT-thank you, Namjoon.â
âIs there an occasion?â Yoongi asked innocently after reading the message sent by the maknaes about you and your supposedly college reunion. He almost chuckled when he read that the three were planning on staying as far from the company as possible. But not him. This was fun to him. In his opinion, the two of you should have been in a relationship for a long time now. He thought Namjoon needed the push, or a shove if Suga was being honest. And he was willing to be the one to do that. He was a kind friend like that.
âOh, I have a reunion with my college friends tonight,â you shared as you fixed the papers that Namjoon needed to look at. You wanted to be efficient today so Namjoon could use the rest of the day to finally relax. You thought his eyes looked a little tired lately.
âYou didnât tell me that,â Namjoon noted lightly, fixing you with his hard stare. âWhat time are you going to meet them? Where are you going to meet? Will you be out late?â
Yoongi was smiling as he watched RM threw question after question at you. Yet, he failed to ask one thing that should be asked.
âAre there gonna be boys, Y/N?â Yoongi asked innocently, blinking owlishly at you before leaning back and watching it all unfold.
Your affirmative answer made RMâs mood turned sour.
You were on edged as you drove the car expertly from the last location of the schedule today. Even at his age, people around Namjoon still adamantly refused to let him drive. The members thought that he would be a danger to people around him, and to himself as well. Namjoon was uncharacteristically silent as you drove. He was either staring at you or outside. Ever since you picked him up from the company, you could feel that something was off. You just could not pinpoint at it. On the other hand, Namjoon was contemplatingâŚor more appropriately scheming as to how he could keep you with him today.
âLetâs go to Jinâs,â he finally broke the silence, flashing you his normal, dimpled smile.
âWhat?â This was not in the schedule today. You purposely scheduled light meetings today so that he could go home and you would have more than an ample time to drive to the reunion.
âItâs still early. I promise weâre only going to be an hour.â
Lie.
âAhhhh actual people!â Jin greeted when he opened the door and saw you and Namjoon. He was carrying the box of baby books he insisted would be helpful to the brain development of Jinâs son.
âHyung, your son is an actual person,â Namjoon said in a light tone as he took in Jinâs state. Despite the bags under his eyes, he was still so handsome that fans would still call him the worldwide handsome. He looked tired, but his eyes held so much happiness that RM could not helped but be happy for his hyung. At the same time, he wanted, no, he craved the domesticity that Jin was now experiencing.
The men were talking and laughing about work as Jinâs wife lead you to her son. You cooed at the child and thought that he would break a lot of hearts in the future. He was a carbon copy of Jin. He was laughing at you when you made funny faces at him, the melodious laughter reached the menâs ears.
âHe likes you,â Jin commented, fondly watching his handsome son babbled and laughed. âDo you want to hold him?â His lovely wife asked.
âReally? Can I?â You asked in wonder. She smiled at you before gently laying the happy child safely in your arms.
Your heart melted as you held Jinâs little bundle of joy. The little weight you were holding was someone elseâs whole world. He was barely six months old and yet he had so much personality like his father.
âYouâre so beautiful, little one,â you whispered to the baby looking up at you as if he understood every word you said.
Namjoon could not even begin to decipher what it was he was feeling when he saw you holding the little Jin in your arms. He just felt this warm feeling in his heart, as if the image of you holding a baby in your arms was from a dream come true. The image was forever imprinted in his mind, he was sure. Something about you felt right. Something about you felt like the missing piece in his life. You had always been there for him. He was not ignorant to think that he could survive without you in his hectic life.
He thought that you were meant to stay in his life.
You were so focused that you almost missed the heat from Namjoonâs body when he leaned in and looked at the baby from your shoulder. You could feel his breath this close that it made you heart beat louder. Was it from shocked? Was it from shyness? Or was it from something else that you had spent years denying?
âSo precious,â Namjoon whispered softly. You jumped from the deepness of his voice. You shivered from the body contact you were not used to. You cleared your throat before turning to him.
âDo you wanna hold him?â
And once he had the tiny human in his muscular arms, Namjoon smiled tenderly at Jinâs son. He brushed the sparse of hair he had on his head gently.
For the second time, he said, âI want a baby of my own.â
You were surprised that he once again brought it up. This time it was not only to you but to his hyung. Jin blinked as if he was startled by RMâs admission. He looked at you before looking at his friend.
âIâm sure youâll be a great father, Namjoon,â Jin said in all seriousness. He knew he would. He was sure of it.
âWhen will you start making a baby of your own, Namjoon?â His wife asked him teasingly, leaning against Jin as they looked at the man observingly.
RM glanced at you, âSoon.â
You were already an hour too late to be considered fashionably late that RM insisted that heâd have his driver dropped you off to your reunion. You wanted to say no, yet you knew it would be impossible to resist Namjoon whenever he was in that mood. He always knew how to get his way, you thought. His intelligent mind knew just what to do, just what to say in order to get what he wanted.
And that night, he did.
Your college friends looked at you happily when you stepped out of the car. They walked closer to you, welcoming you to the party. And there you saw him, the man you hadnât been able to forget. He was still as handsome as ever. You couldnât help but smile when he was approaching when you felt a presence behind you.
âHi. I just dropped off Y/N. Iâm sorry sheâs late,â RM greeted the group charmingly before nonchalantly placing his large hand on your waist. You jumped from the contact. He never did that. What would your friends think? Your head was in overdrive that you didnât notice your friends fawning over the Kim Namjoon. He was treating them kindly, allowing them to take pictures with him before he turned to you.
âEnjoy your night, Y/N,â he murmured before placing a kiss on your cheek.
Well, there went your chance with your college crush.
You didnât know what to make of his actions that when you went to his house the following week for information pertaining to the property he was looking at, you were on edged. You didnât have to knock because he told you before to just enter his penthouse. You were given access to his home. You took a deep breath before walking inside his house, not knowing what to anticipate with him, with his touchâŚand that kiss that should not have happened.
âOh, Y/N! Youâre here! Come sit!â Namjoonâs mom called from his dining table, smiling pleasantly at you that you froze. You didnât expect her here but at least there was a buffer between the two of you now, right?
âItâs been so long! Youâre so thin! Is my son too hard on you?â She asked as she pulled you to sit beside her, in front of RM who only looked intently at you. You couldnât read his expression. He was wearing a simple black shirt that fit a little too snugly on his chest. You hated how you were noticing yet again his physical qualities like you did when you were merely starting. His mom was still reprimanding his son as she put plate in front of you despite you offering to help. She merely shrugged you off, happy that you were there to take care of her son. Who knew what would happen to him if you werenât here, she thought. RM was silently eating, enjoying the way his mom was mothering you when she turned her attention to him once again.
âWhen will you give me a grandchild? With the way you are working, you have no time for family! All my friends and neighbors have at least one grandchild. Son, just give me one, okay? Just one,â She pleaded as she placed more food on his plate.
âOkay, omma,â Namjoon consented. He was serious, yet his mother groaned as if he was just placating her.
âYou,â she turned to you, placing more food on your plate as well. âDonât be like my son. Go make your own babies! Iâll just borrow your child every once in a while, okay?â She told you humorously as she laughed and told you that you needed to eat more.
Unbeknownst to the two of you, the manâs face darkened with the mere thought of you carrying someone elseâs child. He hated the thought of you not being his. He had the whole weekend to think intensely, and all the answers pointed to you.
You didnât have time to discuss with him what had transpired. The following weeks, he was busy with work, yet this time he had always quietly ordered that youâd be with him. Before, you only had to meet with him thrice a week. But now, you were with him almost everyday. You were working in his office when Hoseok and Yoongi entered the room.
âOh! Y/N, youâre here!â Hoseok exclaimed before walking to you with the brightest smile you had ever seen. Yoongi only smiled at you in acknowledgement before approaching RM and showing him his laptop. They were deep in conversation when Hoseok asked you if you knew where the list for the event was. You nodded before standing up. It was in the overhead cabinet. You reached for it in difficulty for a moment when you felt a hand on your waist, and RMâs muscular arm stretched beside you as he grabbed with such ease what you were trying to reach. He was as near as that night. âHere you go, Y/N,â he whisperedâŚand heavens did it feel sensual in your ear. His hot breath tickled your neck. You could feel your cheeks heat up from his proximity.
You were starting to notice that RM was becomingâŚtouchy lately. It didnât feel disrespectful to you, it just felt like something changed with the way he was acting, with the way he was looking at you, with the way he was demanding your attention.
J-hope looked at Suga in astonishment. Were these two finally a thing?
One night, you were walking to your humble apartment with Namjoon beside you. His hands were in his pockets as he walked you to your door despite you telling him that you were fine. But you should know, he was a stubborn one. It was late, and the only light were from the hallway of your apartment. It was almost midnight when the two of you arrived at your apartment after checking out the house Namjoon wanted to buy. He asked you what you thought of it, and you said it was beautiful. The yard was spacious with swimming pool. The house itself had numerous bedrooms that you didnât know who would stay there. In your mind, you rationalized that it must be his members if ever they wanted to stay. In Namjoonâs mind, it was for his family. He listened intently to what you had to say, and only when he saw how your face lightened up when you saw the whole house did he decide to buy it.
âHere I am, boss Namjoon,â you announced jokingly before straining to look up at your tall employer.
You blinked when he only stared at you, âNamjoon?â
âGood night, my princess,â he murmured with his deep voice.
Did he justâŚcall you his princess?
You were too shocked to notice him leaning down. And once he did, you felt his lips kissed your forehead softly, his large hand on the back of your head. You were frozen when he stepped back.
And then he left.
Namjoon thought you needed time to process everything. He knew you were an over-thinker, that you were a flight risk. He just didnât know you would be like this with mere kisses on your cheek and forehead. You hadnât been picking up your phone since that day, and he had half a mind to go to your apartment. But he had to keep in mind that there were less conspicuous method to use.
You read the message from Namjoon this afternoon. Apparently, he forgot to pick up the gift he had for his fatherâs birthday and he was now in his hometown. He was half-pleading and half-apologizing for his clumsiness that you felt bad to just leave him on read. And so you replied that youâd bring it to him.
Your mind was blank as you drove for hours to him. Ever since that night, the feelings you had tried so hard to bury and successfully did, were resurfacing. It was unfair, you thought. You didnât have the emotional capacity to fall for him. You knew how this would end. When you started to work for him, you thought he was everything. You looked up to him because he was so kind, so intelligent, and so masculine. He was gentle with you even when you made a mistake. He helped you find an apartment that was safe after he saw how you were living before. He paid for the deposit and for the rent during the first year despite your adamant refusal. He even paid for your grandmotherâs hospital bills, the only family you had. She had lived longer than what the doctor said. She died without experiencing difficulty eventually, all thanks to RMâs connections to the best hospitals. You wanted to pay him. You even refused to accept your salary, with no success. Namjoon just merely shrugged and said he wouldnât let anything happen to you as long as he was around. And you believed him.
And so, you did your best to take care of him day and night. Even going beyond your job description. You became his secretary, but what was more, you became his friend, an ear to vent on, even a shoulder to lay his head to rest.
One night, RM had too much to drink. He was feeling suffocated from the pressure of the world. You found him staring on an empty bottle of whiskey when you arrived in his penthouse. That night, you sat with him, listened to his worries, rubbed his back with comforting hands. You assured him that he was not the version he thought of himself. He was better. He was the best man you ever knew. You told him how much you appreciated him, and that he was doing his best.
That night, he asked you what he would do without you.
That night, you told him heâd never have to find out.
That night, he kissed you.
And come morning, he forgot about it.
But you didnât. And that was the first time he hurt you.
Your memory trail stopped when you saw him standing in front of their house, waiting for you.
His father, just like his mother, was able to convince you to stay the night. He said you were family, and that it would be his birthday wish to spend it with the woman who managed to keep his son alive. He even joked that without you, RM would probably forget to pay his bills, to keep his fish alive, or even to eat. You laughed and said RM was becoming more mature lately and that he could survive without you. RM disagreed.
âYou know what, you could do so much than be with my brother,â RMâs younger sister said teasingly as all of you were eating dinner. She stuck her tongue out to her brother who just rolled his eyes at her.
âOh,â you chuckled shyly before looking at the tall man sitting beside you. âWeâre not together!â
âWhy not? I was just kidding. I think youâre perfect for him,â she admitted before smiling at the two of you. She was just voicing out what her family had been thinking for years. By now, you were a permanent fixture in their lives that if and not when the day comes that RM introduced someone else to them, they would find it hard to accept her.
You chuckled before telling her that your relationship with her brother was strictly professional.
âHeâs working you too hard, isnât he?â His father asked you as he shook his head at his innocent son. âListen to me, life is too short to work all day. Go out and have a beautiful life! Or else youâll find yourself old and alone one day without a family of your own.â
Once the intimate party died down, you found yourself talking with RM in the living room with alcohol in front of you. The two of you were seated on the floor side by side with the sofa behind you. His parents had called it a night after drinking with them, while his sister tapped out as well. Alcohol and the existence of other people helped to die down the awkwardness you felt. You were laughing at RMâs anecdote about the thing that happened during their dance practice. He watched you with contentment in his face. Seeing you happy was making him feel like he did something right, like he won one of those awards. He didnât know when it started, but he just knew the desire to make you laugh would never go away. He was sure of it.
âIâm sorry about my family. Theyâre just used to teasing me.â
You waved him off before pouring his empty glass, before pouring yours. âItâs nothing, really. I had fun. Iâm glad I came.â
âIâm glad youâre here, too,â he admitted, his look at you was as intense as that night that your heart started to beat harder, as if it wanted to escape the cage it was in. You blinked and decided to look away. You fanned yourself, âItâs quite warm in here, right?â
Namjoon smirked before drinking, his eyes never wavering from your face. âYouâre beautiful, princess,â he commented, his voice deep as he waited for you to look at him again. He was near, so near that his thighs were touching yours. So near that whenever he moved, his muscular arm brushed against yours.
âGod, youâre so drunk,â you muttered before looking up at him.
âI may be. But come morning and ask me again, and Iâd still tell you youâre the most beautiful thing that ever happened to me.â
You gulped, his voice deepened even further. âYouâre the most important person in my life,â he admitted with intensity in his voice, with promise in his eyes. âI know I love you.â
Your eyes widened before attempting to move away from him when you felt his massive hand on your back, preventing you from moving away from him, effectively stopping you from running away from the truth that he never tried to fight.
âYou donât mean that,â you whispered, your hand now on his chest as you tried to stop him from coming any closer. He shouldnât. He couldnât. Because if he did, heâd feel how hard your heart was beating just for him. Or how terrified you were of falling, only to have him forget about it again. To forget you again.
âI do. I mean it,â he whispered leaning in slowly at you. âI love you.â And then he kissed you. And you were all too powerless to stop him. He pulled away after a moment. You were breathing hard, your eyes trained on his lips before meeting his eyes. And then this time, you kissed him.
You didnât know how, but the two of you found yourselves in his bedroom. His hand was entangled with your hair, your hands caressing his broad back as he walked you to his bed. You were drunk from the alcohol and his kisses, his heavenly kisses. He pushed you gently to the bed, and not a second was wasted before he joined you. You pulled off his shirt, your eyes in awe at his form. His muscles were definitely more defined now than when you last saw it accidentally back when you were just beginning to work for him. His chest looked definitely stronger. You were aware of this from seeing him wearing tight shirts, but this? This was something else.
You moaned lightly as Namjoon trailed kisses on your neck, peppering it with subtle marks of his own. He thought that you were his, and that your neck should be adorned with his marks. âKeep it down, princess,â he teased you as he got impatient with the endless buttons of your blouse that he resorted to ripping it off of you. He couldnât be gentle. Not when the woman of his dreams was finally on his bed. âOr do you want me to cover your mouth?â
You didnât know that he had it in him to be a dirty talker. You were feeling the heat when he smirked at you before you felt his lips on your chest, down to your stomach, and finally to your core. You closed your legs, shyness finally coming back to you as you sobered from his sinful kisses. He was kneeling, his legs were on either side of you as he leaned closer to you once again. âBe a good girl and open your legs, princess,â he ordered, his hand caressing your soft thigh.
His commanding voice was like a hypnotic spell that you found yourself opening your legs slowly for him. And as a reward, he made your legs shook. You were still catching your breath that you didnât notice he placed a pillow under you, lifting your core. He kissed you once again on your lips so tenderly, so lovingly that for a moment you believed he loved you.
âYou are made for me, princess,â he whispered before looking at you with darkness in his eyes, âYouâre made for daddy. Say it.â
You keened when you felt his hardness slide at your core teasingly, punishingly as you waited a little too long to repeat what he wanted you to.
âSay it, princess. Donât make daddy mad,â his hot breaths were tickling your ear as he pinched your sore nipple that you yelped.
âI-Iâm made- ugh- Iâm made for daddy,â you finally said as you felt his thick head slowly entered your drenched core.
âAnd whoâs your daddy?â
âYou are.â
That night, he told you repeatedly how you were his and his only. He made you promised that you would never leave him, and that you would never ignore him once again. He made you come so much that you lost track of the time. His large hand was on your mouth, preventing you from waking the whole house up as he rutted against you with so much stamina and passion. He made you so mindless that you didnât realize he was finishing inside you each time. He made sure to not let a single drop leave your core.
The third time he didnât have to mention about wanting a baby of his own, he just did.

the mysterious, age old town of ichabod. within it rests a history hidden from its inhabitants, who are forced to remain there out of fear. you simply wish to live in this town with the people you love without facing its wrath for as long as you can. unfortunately for you, there are great powers on your side who are willing to do whatever it takes to get you. whether you come willingly or not. after all, it only takes a little hellfire
ââââââââââââââââââââââââââ
âCome along now, (Y/N).â Your motherâs grip on your wrist tightened as she all but threw you in front of her. You nearly twisted your ankle on the twigs and tree roots that outlined the forest floor. âWe are late enough as it is.âÂ
You huffed and tore your wrist from your motherâs hand to hike up the long, white dress you wore. âGood. I wish we didnât have to trek out here in the middle of the night every month. Maybe weâll miss the gathering entirely.â
She smacked your arm harshly. âNot another word from you, smart mouth.â Your mother dressed similarly, the only difference being that her ivory dress paled considerably compared to yours in the moonlight. âWeâve been attending for years. I highly doubt that such a change would be allowed, much less appreciated.â
You shivered at the thought. No matter how much you resented these meetings, you wouldnât dare miss a summoning.
You stayed quiet for ten more minutes, taking in the rustling of the forest and focusing your efforts on avoiding sharp rocks underfoot.Â
Trees rested on either side of you, lining your path and blocking out any natural light with their twisting, sneaking branches. It took all of your effort to ignore the oppressive silence, broken every so often by the snapping of a trig or the movement of some animal, cloaked by shadows in the dark.
Soon enough, you and your mother reached the clearing.
She pulled you back just as you were about to step into the moonlight, throwing a dark cloak in your face. âAre you mad? Put it on!â
You smiled abashedly and threw the material on. The hood was so long it cast a shadow over the lower half of your face but was wide enough for you to see.
Your mother finished arranging her hood and the two of you stepped into the clearing, joining with the last of the circle of cloaked shadows.
The moon shone brightly without the cover of the forest giving your surroundings an ethereal facade. A wooden stage lay at the very middle of the clearing, upon which stood your small townâs resident royalty.
The Kims.Â
They were the ruling force of the town, the husband being the mayor, the wife a successful actress. They both settled down in Ichabod twenty-five years ago with their children. What had once been a town amuck with violence and chaos was transformed into a prosperous, well-functioning borough.
How the Kims managed to transform the area nearly overnight, few knew. They have run your city for nearly three decades. And everyone in it is terrified to cross their path.
Directly behind them stood their seven adopted sons, faces shrouded by hoods and masks. You didnât know too much about them besides their names and faces; five of them currently attended your school and you made sure to give them a wide berth, being as polite as possible.
Kim Moonsik raised his left arm, twisting his wrist in a full circle. He then pointed his hand at the sky, gently lowering his pinky and middle fingers. âGreetings to the moon from her earthly servants.â
You lifted your forearm with everyone else, copied the gesture, and repeated the phrase quietly with disinterest.
âI thank you all for coming on such short notice.â He continued. âAs another month commences, we have the pleasure of standing before you all. The moon has graced us with her everlasting beauty and prosperity rains down upon our small town, just as it has for decades before.â
This is usually the part where you would start drifting off. Kim Moonsik could drove on with his speech about the moon for far too long.
About what felt like an hour but was approximately fifteen minutes later, Mr. Kim trailed off and the forest became so silent, you hushed your thoughts in fear of thinking too loud.
The oppressive feeling in the air returned full force and you shivered underneath the warmth of your cloak as Mr. Kim eyed each and every person attending. He was not able to directly see your face, but you felt like the man was staring into your soul.
âRegrettably,â He said, clasping his hands together, âwe are not able to part tonight without the moonâs divine punishment.â
Ah, you thought. There it is.
The reason your heart pounds at every one of these meetings.Â
All you wanted to do was be that half-asleep little girl again, clutched in your motherâs arms as she trudged her way here every month.Â
âWylynne has decreed that there are sinners in our midst.â Mr. Kim says it quietly, but the gravity in his words travel.
And with a mighty roar, the pyre behind the wooden stage was lit with orange flames.Â
The crowd stood in silence, waiting for the dreadful sound. You quaked in the dirt. Would it be you this time?Â
But by the grace of the moon, no.Â
The telltale, piercing shriek came from the right side of the crowd. Citizens rushed to get away from the teenager cradled in her parentsâ arms. The mother could not let go of her daughter, heavily sobbing as the child clutched her head and continued to scream. Her hood had fallen off and your eyes widened as you recognized her.
Natalia Pierre. The two of you had had some awful confrontation a few months ago. Nevertheless, the resident embers of anger could not stop the overwhelming pity you felt as the Kimsâ men ripped her away from her parents.
âPlease!â She cried as they forced her to her knees before the mayor. Not that she wasnât already bent over, riddled with pain. âKnives-the knives wonât stop, please get them out!â
Kim Moonsik lay his hand on her shoulder. âDo not worry, my child. You will soon join Wylynneâs heavenly army. May your failures be a lesson, victories a reward, and may your soul live on with the moon forever.â
âMay your soul live on with the moon forever.â You whispered the last phrase with everyone else, ignoring the tear that made its way down your cheek.Â
Before Natalia could say another word, her screams were cut short as her body was engulfed in purple fire.
It only took a second. Within minutes, her cloak, dress, bones, and ashes were gone. She hadnât even scorched the grass. You could almost believe youâd dreamed it if her father wasnât kneeling next to her writhing mother in the dirt.
Mr. Kim smiled gracefully, a sight that reminded you of the grim reaper with the shadow on his face. âTo her heavenly grace, the moon, may she travel. To my fellow citizens of Ichabod, I bid goodnight.â
The orange flame behind the stage was doused. You, your mother, and the crowd bowed your heads as you wished goodnight to the Kims. It was only when the last son had left the clearing did anyone else begin moving.
You clutched your motherâs hand all the way home.

deep in the forest lies the home to the infamous, successful kim family. you steeled yourself to enter the lionsâ den, where kind, masked souls surrounded you, welcoming you with open hearts and open arms. you, however, still keep your wits about you. you protect yourself by getting comfortable, but not too close. but itâs alright. put your guard up to your heartsâ content. you are their favorite past time, after all. either way, sooner or later, you will be theirsâŚ
ââââââââââââââââââ
The five Kim siblings couldnât be more elated, watching the object of their eye sleep without a care in the world.
They remained quiet, speaking in whispers as they strove not to wake you up. Your guarded attitude around them had escaped no one, and they, quite frankly, found it adorable.
You were the only one who didnât wear your emotions on your sleeve around them.
The sleek, black van turned corner after corner around the winding paths of Ichabod, passing homes, places of commerce, and office buildings.
The Kim family lived deep within the woods, not too far away from the base of the monthly gatherings. All of the other town dwellers would walk from their homes, located at various points in the city, into the twisting black woods in order to appear at the meeting on time.
For the Kims would accept nothing less than perfection.
After another twenty minutes, Driver Bin cautiously approached a narrow dirt path and he directed the car onto the incline, winding upwards on the hill. The car then veered off to the right, entering a secluded road that would lead specifically to the Kim family mansion.Â
It stood, raised on wooden platforms with impressive glass windows. The exterior shone in the afternoon sunlight, polished cherry wood glistening through the orange and green leaves on the forest trees.
There was no ostentatious fountain or statue outside the front of the home, nor were there piled bodies of the forsaken lying around their grounds, contrary to popular schoolyard taunts and beliefs.Â
Only a winding, wooden staircase that led to the front door.Â
The boys stared out the window, gaze breaking away from you for only a moment as they watched the approaching front gate.
A black, iron-wrought masterpiece, as well as their fatherâs pride and joy: the front gate worked all too well at keeping unwanted guests outside and favored guests inside of the Kim household.
Each of the brothers had grown up detesting that gate. Whether on purpose or by accident, it kept them locked up from the outside world, ostracizing them even more than they had already thought possible.
But now, as the old iron monstrosity creaked open, and as they watched their beloved sleep ever so sweetlyâŚ.
Why, they wouldnât have wished for anything other than for that gate to close once and for all, leaving you with them forever.
The metal closed with an ominous clang, and the van pulled into the homeâs garage as the sun began to set.
ââââââââââââââââââââââ
You peeled your eyes open, disoriented for just a moment before pure panic bled through.
The last thing you remembered was getting into the Kimâs car on your way to their home.
But now, you lay in a queen size, four poster bed covered with soft (f/c) sheets. The dark brown, wooden frame had beautiful gossamer, white sheets hanging down, wrapped around each end so that you could sit up without them getting in your way.
You looked down and found your school uniform still on, albeit a bit wrinkled. There was a sweater a bit too large for you wrapped around your shoulders. Your shoes were no longer on your feet, and the thought of someone taking those off for you made you flustered.
You werenât sure how you had gotten to the room, but logic reasoned that one of the boys must have brought you in here to restâŚ
Your face twisted into an unreadable expressionâŚyou werenât particularly sure how to feel about that.Â
You should thank them and apologize, of course, but still, the entire situation only heightened your unease.
Your phone and backpack lay on the table next to the bed, and you picked the device up, checking the time. To your surprise, it had only been an hour since you left the school grounds.Â
You texted your mother that you had arrived before getting off the bed and walking to the door in your socks. Before you could open it, however, your phone began to buzz in your hand.
âHello?â
â(Y/N)! Is everything alright?â Your motherâs voice, tired but worried, sounded out from across the line.Â
âYeah, everythingâs fine! We just got here. I had to use the bathroom so they led me to a guest room; thatâs where I am right now.â You paced around the room as you spoke before sitting on the edge of the bed and fingering the silk canopy.
You decided not to tell your mother about the falling asleep part. What she didnât know couldnât worry her.
âThatâs good. I get out of work in a couple of hours, Iâll call you when Iâm on my way. Just tell me how the projectâs going in the meantime, okay?âÂ
âYeah, sure.â She cautioned you one more time before hanging up the phone.
You put it in your skirt pocket and pulled open the wooden door, relieved by the fact that it made no sound. It led you to a hallway and you carefully walked out into it, making sure not to disturb anyone.
You surmised that you were located on the bottom floor of the house. The room you were in had been situated at the very end of the hallway, and you found the lack of noise unsettling.Â
At first, the only thing you could hear was the soft padding of your socked feet on the hardwood floor, but as you walked down the hallway, the sound of talking and laughing got louder and louder.Â
You peeked your head around the corner to see all five of the boys seated in a sort of lounge with large, floor-to-ceiling glass windows.Â
The Kims had somehow managed to perfectly blend the appearance of old money with the taste and style of new money artwork and design. The house looked like something straight out of a romantic fiction, young adult novel.
As you looked around the living room, it was somewhat hard for you to take in the amount of wealth in the home. The windows offered a splendid view of the surrounding forest from the inside, although clouded a bit by coffee voile curtains. Before them sat two settees with a small, rounded glass table between them. Closer to the entrance where you stood sat a gray sofa across from a much longer, L-shaped couch.
Taehyung and Jimin sat roughhousing passionately on the sofa while Hoseok, Namjoon, and Jungkook sat on the longer couch opposite them. The former was laughing at the twoâs shenanigans, clapping his hands in glee and the latter two were occupied with separate activities: Namjoon reading, occasionally pushing his glasses up on his face and Jungkook concerned with something on his phone.
You hesitantly walked out. ââŚJimin?â
All five heads snapped up as they watched you approach.
Jiminâs face broke out into an even bigger smile and he jumped up to stand in front of you. â(Y/N)! How are you feeling? Are you alright?â
âDid you sleep well?â Taehyung smiled mischievously from the couch, but you could tell from his tone that he meant well.
Your cheeks darkened in embarrassment. âYeah! Iâm so sorry about that, I just..didnât get a lot of sleep last night. I thought I had handled my fatigue pretty well, but I guess it never actually left. You couldâve woken me up, you knowâŚâ You spoke with your head down, looking at your hands as they wrung together.
You heard the room go silent for a moment, just as you feared it would. When you looked up, all five of the boys had an enigmatic expression on their face.
It sent chills down your back, just how quickly their attitudes had switched. They went from joyful laughter and peaceful content to emotions you felt were unstableâŚyou sensed a bit of helplessness paired with indifference, and the slightest hint of anger and contempt.Â

life away from the kims resumed as normal and you warily readjusted to the boysâ presence in your life. although you gained their company, you also gained a new enemy. you should take extra care not to forget your place, as internal and external forces are constantly at work. the question is: do they work in or against your favor? the hours wind on, and strange occurrences only get stranger. after all, ichabod is most awake in the dark.
âââââââââââââââââââ
In your dream, you saw Jimin, but he was not the same person that you had met earlier that day.Â
He stood atop Ichabod Chapel, combing through his black hair with his hand and looking down at you with brown eyes. But rather than the warm, twinkling eyes you recognized, his glistened in the moonlight, cold and hardened like topaz.Â
Despite the distance, you somehow managed to see him clearly. You could see his smile, warm and affectionate, completely unlike the gaze in his eyes. He looked as though he couldnât care less about what was happening around himâhis sole focus was on you.
He was dressed in pitch black clothes from head to toe, which were soaked in some foreign substance.
The clothes clung to him in a way that should have been uncomfortable, but he looked as though he couldnât be bothered to change. In fact, he looked as though he relished in the substance.
Strangest of all were the magnificent black wings that rested on his back, curving their way through the shadows to reach up toward the night sky.
You eyes shot open as you woke with a start. It was still early, early enough that you could have gotten an extra hour or so of sleep, but you decided to just stay awake. Your dream had been much too unsettlingâŚ
You played around on your phone, internally debating your response to Jimin before typing something and sending it.
Thatâs so kind of you. Iâm glad we met as well :)
You heard your motherâs knock on the door some time later. With a sigh, you lifted yourself from the warmth and safety of your sheets, getting prepared to brave the day.
ââââââââââââââââââââ
The moment you entered the upperclassmen building, you were yanked to the side and pulled into an empty classroom. You looked up in alarm but relaxed when you saw who it was.
Mana gripped you with something akin to fear, glancing around suspiciously to make sure the coast was clear. Once they were satisfied, they closed the door and hugged you tightly. â(Y/N), you whore! You have no idea how worried I was. How dare you not text me last night? How long did you spend over there? What happened?â
You smiled at your best friendâs antics, their overprotectiveness chipping away at your lingering unease from this morning.Â
You recounted your experience at the Kim household, telling them about the beautiful, secluded home in the woods, the brothersâ actions, their graceful talent of a mother, and the demanding presence of their father.
âHonestly, I was a little scared.â you recounted, sliding your bag off your shoulder. âThere were so many things to be wary of, but I just spent the whole evening being as polite as possible.âÂ
They nodded along, engrossed in your story.
âMayor Kim is seriously intimidating, and Mrs. Kim read my fortuneâsaid something about power and being careful of the people around meâand the library, Mana, you would have loved it-â
âHold on, girl! Back up.â Mana interrupted. âThe mayorâs wife said what?â
âOh,â you slowed down. âMrs. Kim touched my palm and said I held a lot of wisdom and power, I guess within me, and that I should be wary of those around me because they may try to take it.â
They gave you a pointed look. âI knew it. The second I saw Jimin look at the empty seat next to you from the front of the classroom, I got a bad feeling. To think the warning would come from his own motherâŚâ
âWhat does that mean?â You asked, furrowing your brows.
âI think you should just continue to be wary of the KimsâŚâ Mana murmured, crossing their arms. âI know we always play it safe, but the closer to them you get, the more peril youâll be in.â
You sat down in an empty chair. The possibilities for being hurt in this town were certainly far from rare, after all. But for them to claim the brothers would try to hurt you, even though you did nothing to provoke them
âMana, do you think they might try to do something to me?â
They shrugged. âIâve said what I felt I needed to say.â
âBut steal my âpowerâ?â You held up two fingers and scrunched them for air quotations. âWhat could the most influential people in town possibly want with me or my supposed power? What would they even do with it?â
What power do I have?
Mana looked at you concernedly while you pondered your own question.
Power? To you, it was overrated. Power was nothing but an elite show of force, all over the world but especially in this town. It was used and lorded over others, and ripped families apart. You did not consider yourself very powerful.Â
You remembered your obedience toward Mr. Kim in spite of your fear and suspicion, and the way you had to rub your motherâs back as she heaved up everything she ate on the side of the road after leaving their house.
YeahâŚpower was currently far from your grasp.
You shrugged. You were going to follow Mrs. Kimâs warning either way; after all, nothing good came of being too expressive or open in this town.
Mana turned away from you as you both heard the bell ring for the fifteen minute warning. You picked up your bag as they led the way out the door and up the stairs toward your classroom.
When you stepped into the door, you glimpsed Jimin sitting at his desk with a disturbed frown on his face. The moment he met eyes with you, however, he was all smiles.
â(Y/N)!â
You walked down the other side of the aisle and sat in your seat, turning toward him with a smile. âMorning, Jimin.â
âGood morning! Thanks for replying to my text! How was your rest? I hope you got much more sleep than yesterday night.â His eyes wouldnât move away from yours, all big and awestruck like a puppyâs.
You nodded. âOf course! Thanks for worrying, though. You didnât have to.â
âOf course I did. Iâll always be concerned for your safety and well-being, (Y/N). If you feel like you ever need somewhere to go or someone to confide in, feel free to reach out to me, okay?âÂ
His tone turned strangely serious in comparison to how he greeted you moments before, you thought. Still, you gave him a small smile.Â
âSure, Jimin. I really appreciate your concern and the offerâŚâ
He beamed and nodded, turning to give his greetings to Mana, who seemed surprise that they were being spoken to at all. As they conversed, you reached into your bag and pulled out your materials for the morning lesson.
âDid you end up choosing a mythological creature for your project yet?â Jimin asked.
Their mouth twitched upward. âMy partner and I decided to research nymphsâŚI donât know too much about them, he pretty much chose our project topic.â
They reached over and ruffled your hair. âYou lucked out with (Y/N) here, she really knows her stuff.â
You scoffed and swatted their hand away from your head. âYou mean I lucked out by not being partnered with your lazy self? Youâre absolutely right.â
Jimin watched the two of you bicker back and forth, fighting the urge to smile.
The teacher entered the room, placing her materials on her desk. You and your peers silenced as you prepared yourself for the long day of classes.
Right here, surrounded by your community, your classmates, and your best friendâŚyes, this was the time where you felt the most normal.Â
Deep down, you knew you wanted to leave Ichabodâwithout a doubt. But you feared the outside world all the same.Â
The people outside wouldnât be able to understand the things you had went through. They would giggle away your paranoia and reassure you of your safety, having no perception of the actual dangers you faced.Â
They didnât know the things that could set you off, the things that the people around you could understand with the simple exchange of a glance.
But you quieted the thoughts of your precarious future as the teacher began her lesson, falling into the routine once more.
âââââââââââââ-ââââââ
Before the Kims even stepped foot into town, it was the Augustuses who ruled Ichabod with an iron fist. Their family came from old money. They had lived here for generations upon generations, their stature being crucial to the survival of the town. They oversaw the law enforcement of Ichabod.Â
Nearly thirty years ago, when the town was still overrun with violence, miscreants, and chaos, the Augustuses did nothing to keep the peace. They sat from their high horse with other prominent families and watched the middle and lower classes struggle.
The then-head of the family, Rufus Augustus, was especially known for ignoring his duties.
Then Kim Moonsik stepped into town and established his position as mayor and, more importantly, as a servant of the divine Wylynne.
Once he saw how poorly Rufus acted, he fought to remove him from his position.
The man was too proud, too unwilling to give his position and title up to this âholyâ, foreign newcomer.Â
Mayor Kim had wanted to execute Rufus. It was his son, Aloysius, who had gotten down on both knees and begged for his safety.Â
Two months later, both Rufus and his wife were sent to Wylynne as divine warriors, leaving the new head and his family to take his place.
The Augustus family were now the Kimsâ right hand men: their enforcers and watchful guards within the walls of their kingdom.
The current head, Aloysius, was the chief of police, his wife, Domitia, a commander of her own squad.
Their daughter was Kim Namjoonâs aide, the vice president of the student body.
While the majority of the citizens of Ichabod feared the Kims, there were those select few who would cross the line between fear and respect. These subjects knew well enough to keep their distance away from that dangerous family, but revered them with an eery obsession.
Aemilia Augustus was one of those select few.

warnings: yandere themes, violence, manipulation
undoubtedly, the boys have opened their arms and hearts to you. but have you done the same? life has only gotten more stressful for you, and the closer you find yourself getting to them, the more you feel as though you are changing, and the more you push yourself away. you refuse to break. never forget: oneâs hubris could be their hamartia. forge your lonely path with conviction. after all, it may not be yours for much longer. the victor or the fallenâexactly who is it that stands to lose the most?
ââââââââââââââââââââââ
For a long time now, you had feared that your relatively peaceful days in Ichabod were coming to an end, and recent events only further proved your point.Â
Manaâs forewarning carried its weight well, as Aemilia seemed dead set on making an enemy of you. She went from hardly acknowledging your existence to cursing it.Â
She would never lift a finger to do her dirty work, oh no, for how could the delicate Augustus princess stoop so low as to take the garbage out herself?
No, she used her puppets Brooklyn, Constance, and whoever else she managed to sink her claws into in the student body to torment you.Â
They tripped you in the halls, stole your belongings, and essentially made it difficult for you to bleed into the background like you used to.
Luckily for you, you happened to gain some formidable allies.
Mana was there to tell Aemiliaâs lackeys to back down, and they wouldnât dare approach you with Jimin around. And he happened to be around more often than not, strangely enough.
The three of you managed to form a strange alliance during this time. Your best friend was still extremely cautious around Jimin and his siblings, as were you, but they had gotten somewhat closer, which made you glad. You didnât want to be the bridge between them, as you thought that would be tiring and more than you could already handle.Â
Still, the two were only human. They wouldnât always be there to defend you. Nevertheless, you were quite capable of defending yourself.Â
You didnât give Aemilia the satisfaction of breaking under her pressure. You held your head up high despite the amounts of rumors flying around the school about you, even if they made you want to split your own skull open.Â
The student body, in part, was divided. Half of them wanted nothing to do with you, considering how you were associated with both the Augustuses and the Kims. They were wary of your actions, claiming you were steps away from meeting Wylynne herself.Â
The other half whispered about how tired they were of Aemiliaâs antics and tantrums, given that this was not the first time she had behaved like this toward another student.Â
Two weeks passed by, and neither you nor Aemilia was giving in. The strawberry blonde was beside herself, and so were her poor friends. Every day that she failed to teach you a lesson was another day she went raving mad in private.
Soon enough, her patience would snap. She would find herself going over the tipping point, but the question remains: Who would stand to lose the most when she got there?
It was another stressful day for you at Ichabod Academy as you sat in your lively homeroom.Â
Mana rested on your desk, laying their head on their arms. You figured they would be uncomfortable, considering the way their body was twisted around in their seat, but your friend was drifting off without a care in the world.Â
You slumped in your chair, looking every bit as done with life as you had recently felt. There was so much you had to be on the lookout for, and today was no different.Â
You blinked tiredly and looked at your best friend. You then decided to lay your head on top of Manaâs, who did nothing more than let out a grunt, and closed your eyes in an attempt to get some rest as well.
When Jimin returned from the restroom, he internally cooed at the sight.Â
Your head started rocking back and forth as it tilted dangerously on top of Manaâs. Ensuring he wouldnât wake you, the boy sat you up and leaned your body on him so that your head was resting on his shoulder.Â
He smiled down at you in relief. Your classmates took note of his treatment and started to whisper about the two of you, but one look from him and the room quieted.
Unfortunately for you, the peace was short lived. There was a loud crackling over the intercom that shook both you and Mana awake.Â
They sat up and glared at their surroundings in annoyance. You opened your eyes in a flash, desperately hoping it wasnât your first period teacher.Â
âDonât worry, Ms. Diivi isnât here yet.â Jimin reassured you. âIt was just the intercom.â
You nodded in thanks and covered your yawn with the back of your hand.
There was some more crackling and finally, your principal began to speak.Â
âGood afternoon, students. I apologize for the interruption, but this is urgent. Constance Pierre is to report to the principalâs office immediately. I repeat, Constance Pierre to the principalâs office. Thank you for your attention, and please continue about your day.â
You squinted in confusion.Â
Constance has never been called to the principalâs office before in her entire life. Even when she was causing trouble for you and other students, the teachers paid no mind and others were too afraid to report her. What could have happened?
The sound of feet pounding against the floor got closer and closer until you could hear it outside your classroom door. A blonde blur passed the room, disappearing as fast as it had come.
âPierreâŚwhy does that name sound familiar?â You murmured to yourself.
âItâs the name of the freshman that went missing.â Mana said as they stretched. âChance Pierre, I think.â
Your eyes widened in understanding.
âHe was-is Constanceâs little brother.â They corrected their statement.
Jimin glanced at your shocked expression and suppressed a dry laugh.
Quite frankly, he could care less about the Pierre family. Constance has been nothing but a nuisance to him and his brother.
Heâd been willing to overlook the rumors of how annoyingly outstanding and clever the freshman was because he knew his little brother would always be better.Â
But after the blonde went so far as to start pestering you, he used the information heâd gathered against Chance in its opportune moment. And he had no regrets.
You snuck a peek at Jimin and saw a familiar, cold decisiveness plastered on his face. It was the only expression youâd been seeing from him for a while now. Any time someone brought up the missing student, Jimin would go frostily silent.Â
It reminded you of the difference between the two of you, just like his reactionâor lack thereofâthe morning of Chanceâs disappearance had.
You figured he was just uncomfortable talking about the situation and was carefully avoiding it, just as he had with you and Mana that first day you spent lunch together.
At least it wasnât Mom or Mana, you thought to yourself.
âThey mustâve finally found him.â You commented, distracted by your incoming thoughts.
Aemiliaâs family is specifically in charge of hunting down anyone who can be perceived as a âthreatâ to the Kim family. Brooklyn Hayes and Constance Pierre, however, acquired social immunity for themselves and their families as the girls are so close.
Or so you thought.
Constanceâs disheveled appearance the morning Chance went missing made much more sense, then. She was worried sick about her little brother, and one of her closest friends didnât even bother warning her or her family.Â
You shuddered. Just how many people would Aemilia sacrifice? How far would she go, just for her sick sense of what was right?
You had no intention of finding out.
By lunch time, the rest of the school had heard exactly what happened to poor Chance Pierre.
The fourteen year old boy was deposited in the familyâs living room, returned out of the blue just like all of those who came before him.Â
His mother had stepped out for a short moment to go grocery shopping and returned to find her bloody mess of a son, who she then quickly rushed to the hospital.
He was covered in bruises, had a broken arm and leg, several broken ribs, and permanent blindness in his left eye. All things considered, he is one of the lucky ones.
His family was just grateful that he was returned to them still breathing.
Whatever the message was, the Pierre family had received it loud and clear. And so had the rest of the town.
No one is allowed to leave Ichabod. Not without being stopped by Death herself.Â

A/N: hiiii! I havenât felt as inspired as I did while writing this for a while 𼚠I hope you enjoy this!

âI want a baby.â
