After Three Years
New story I have planned
Blood and Sand
Sammy hummed as she carried a bale of hay to the cow pen, not noticing someone following her. As she placed it into the feeder she felt arms around her and a soft voice whispered in her ear "Hey Sammy" Sammy turned around and whispered back "Hey Yaz, what are you doing out here so early." It was around five o'clock in the morning and Yaz normally woke up around six. The girl replied, "Nothing I just couldn't sleep." They talked as they made their way back to the house as the sun rose over the trees.
As they neared the farmhouse something ran out of the bushes nearby and jumped on top of Sammy, it looked and sounded like a raptor but something about it was off in a way Yasmina couldn't describe as she tried to get it off of the Texan, it dug its teeth deep into Sammy's arm and one of the claws ripped into Sammy's side. As soon as she fought it off she was at Sammy's side calling 911 a hand pressing her sweatshirt onto the wounds on Sammy's side and arm.
The last fading words Sammy heard before slipping into unconsciousness were "I can't lose you. Not again. Please I can't live without you."
(Not that great of a first chapter but it's something.)

God it’s about Yaz’s content sigh after she tells Sammy she’s fallen for her. She’s not expecting anything in return - she’s hoping, certainly, but that’s not the big issue here - just the act of confessing has taken a weight off her shoulders, a truth finally spoken, and you can tell.
Maria Rose Gutierrez

Maria Rose Gutierrez was born to Yasmina and Sammy Gutierrez on April 17 of 2020
She is 16 years old
She has light skin (like a mix of Yaz and Sammy's skin tone) with freckles across the bridge of her nose and cheeks. (I like freckles so sue me)
She doesn't know about Nublar and the things her parents went through. And Sammy and Yaz never plan on telling her. (All she knows is that they met during a summer camp program)
She has a few scars from animals that she trains with her mom (Sammy) she mainly works with horses.
Food For a Broken Heart
Yasmina walked into the kitchen looking for something left behind by someone she cared about, a recipe card for beef stew, it was simple but it was what she and Sammy made together, and loved every second of making it.
She gathered the ingredients trying to think of Sammy, walking beside her giving her little smiles as she preps the ingredients for the stock, and hugs as she sets the pot of ingredients and water on the hot stove. Tears come to her eyes as happy memories come back to her she wipes them away as she sets a timer and goes to set the table. She grabbed a bowl out of the cupboard, and a fork out of the kitchen drawer.
She had to stop herself from grabbing a second bowl. As she brought her hand back to her chest, soft sobs forced their way through her as she let herself cry and mourn the loss of her beloved. Yasmina could have sworn she felt arms wrap around her shoulders with the right amount of pressure to help her calm down, she looked around and saw no one.
She took a few breaths, wiped her tears, and made her way to the dining table where two pictures of her and Sammy stood the photo on the left immortalized the happiest day of her life the two were at a church holding each other's cheek the dress on Sammy was perfect her brown eyes still held the warmth and softness in the photo, and the other was of the saddest day at Sammy's funeral Yaz's hand was gingerly placed on the coffin, the black suit she had on during the service was never touched since that day.
When the timer went off she checked the stew and tasted the broth, a small, soft smile drew itself across her face she finally got it right. It tasted just how Sammy and her made it, she felt closer to her now even if it was through a simple dish it felt like she was saying goodbye
Meeting Her Sisters (one-shot)

Sammy held Yasmina's hand as she opened the door to the ranch house giving Yaz a small smile as the door opened all the way, showing two older women one was sitting on the couch watching something on tv, and the other was on a call. they didn't notice the two teens until the one on the phone looked up as she talked eyes locking on the two "I have to call you back Jade, Sammy brought someone over." The woman smiled as she whispered "Love you too Gem. Bye." As she hung up she looked over at them and Sammy gave her a look as she asked "Carmen can you get Isabella away from the TV for a minute? I need you guys to meet someone." The woman nodded and walked to get the other woman "Isa, Sammy wants you to meet someone." The other woman muttered something under her breath but nodded and turned off the tv. After she got up she looked at Sammy and smiled "Hey Sammy. Who's this?" She asked gesturing towards Yasmina, Sammy replied "This is my girlfriend Yasmina." The other teen smiled shyly. The older Gutierrez sisters looked at each other and smiled.
Then Isabella turned back to Sammy and said jokingly, "I'm so going to embarrass you, by showing her old pictures of you." Sammy sighed "Please don't." Yasmina chuckled slightly at her girlfriend but stopped when Sammy gave her a sour look.

Old Scars And Soft Touches
(Very short. And established yasammy)
Waking up every day after Isla Nublar made Yasmina more and more aware of the scars that littered her body. And as much as she wishes they would disappear and the torment they sentenced her to end, she knows it is impossible, but Sammy eased that pain slightly. Somedays, the two lay awake at night touching each scar, remembering how they got them even if the memories hurt it also helped.
It helped them heal even if it hurt. Healing takes time, and they know what they have been through will haunt them forever.

I have written some, but I won't talk about those. I will talk about the ones I have actually read and enjoyed.
The Spokane and Urban Dinosaur aus by VahleeSlashAy on Ao3 they have great storytelling, and some of their fics made me tear up.
I know she knows by Hootytheguardianowlofgahoot is another good one, but that mainly focuses on Sammy and Brooklynn in chaos theory
