omg 5 times??! i'm so amazed that you read it even more than once, thank you so much!! 🥺 but you are right, this drabble is sort of like jungkook's redemption arc! i was aiming for something similar to "drunk words speak sober thoughts", because jungkook loves oc but he's grown up in a toxic environment that taught him women don't deserve to be treated nicely, and taehyung in the story is the fuel to this ideology (which is why jk often avoids her, esp when he's around). he is VERY slowly growing out of it, because this is the first instance that he's had to try to hold their relationship together. when he wasn't trying to hide from anyone (and also high), it's supposed to show that he does want to be loved, but doesn't know HOW to love. he loves being with her, and yet he's almost never around. wow i made him a bit complex 😖
