This is a movie poster from Rio Rita. It was made in 1929 and was a big box office hit. The pirate ship barge scenes were made For a rerelease in the early 1930's, someone (it is rumored David O. Selznick) cut 30 or 40 minutes of it. MOMA used to have a copy but they loaned it out and someone lost it. Warners Archive has released the truncated version of it. Only 10 minutes of the 40 minute Technicolor sequence has been cut.
