Depression Is My Sunshade

Depression is my sunshade

In the sunlight I wither and despair

Shadows under branches,

offer sweet refuge and care.

Flowers tilt up

towards the warmth and light

But I feel the glow is poison

Something in me isn't right.

Petals drifting on an open sea,

Water cradles me so lovingly.

Currents pull and push,

Tides call out then hush

Peacful in this blue,

finding refuge in the hue.

The law of nature

We call it cruel when it takes and loving when it gives. Perhaps it is neither, only a force turning a wheel. A wheel we all rest inside, the place we fall in, the place we hide.

Brave the days to come, your time here is not yet done. It won't all be hard work and dread, there will be light and happy moments spent.

I'm always missing some unspoken cue, it's like I'm in a play, but I was never handed a script.

You're posts feel like... something special. Like a hidden niche in a patchwork quilt of clovers, where the fairies play. I can really only describe them as effervescent, reminiscent? Not in terms of what the words mean, but more so how they sound.
