He doesn´t want to be there, as his reiteration of being TELEMACHUS FATHER wasn´t enough, he wants to get out of there so so much, he is not happy there, but being one of the best warriors (ajax duel for achilles armor, being an example), he´s bound to stay, all his trickeries are for ending that DAMN WAR, that´s is costing his life.
