Sometimes I talk to fanfiction writers, and they're like, 'Oh, Alina, I don't have the confidence to write original fiction like you do, I'm not good enough for that' but then they'll turn around and write an AU that's like, 'Helluva Boss, but Blitzo and Moxxie are human, and also the children of a kindly farmer living in Victorian England'. Girlypop, you ARE good enough to write original fiction, because you basically just did. Stop doubting yourself, and show your original work to the world. It's good, I promise.

no no. you don't get it. the reason I injure my blorbos until they can't walk is because that's the only way they'll ever let someone else carry them. the reason I curse them to be sick and feverish is so that they'll finally open up about their emotions while delirious. the reason I force them to overexert themselves to the point of exhaustion is so that when they pass out they can finally rest.

I think this captures Kunio's frustration with his mental illness. He's messed up, and he knows it, but he hates the fact that his C-PTSD is triggered so easily, and by such mundane things, like smoking, and the dark. He feels like he doesn't have the right to be triggered by those things, especially since he's not being abused anymore

I'm Only Just Getting Started (Nashimoto-P)

I listened to this song once, and knew that it was for Kunio. Despite all of the shitty things he's been through, he's determined to make a better life for himself, and that is literally what this song is about lol

Searching For Your Love (Kikuo)

A song I knew was the perfect fit for Kunio straight away. It's about a now grown-up child of an abusive mother, who still longs for their mother's love. Even though Kunio would never admit it, there's always gonna part of him that wishes that his mother loved him

Cirno Cirno Cirno (TaNaBaTa)

I mentioned this one before, but yeah, perfect fit for Kunio. Really captures his struggles with not being able to tell Nathaniel, his love interest and best friend, how he feels, as well as his struggle to adapt to adulthood

Starless Night (Olivia Lufkin)

A song from NANA? Yes, because believe it or not, The Tengu And The Angel was inspired by NANA. When I first started writing it, I was thinking, 'NANA, but with a happy ending'. A song about two damaged people who can't fix each other, but are deeply in love and want to be together anyway? That's just Kunio and Nathaniel's entire relationship lol

For the wip title tag game, I am intrigued by what “Brooklyn VILLAIN” is…

I'm glad you asked! Brooklyn is the son of Orpheus, the villain of what is going to be my next project. Orpheus is a widely detested businessman who spoiled his son rotten, loving him dearly even though Brooklyn was a terrible person who had multiple DUIs, and narrowly avoided jail time for killing someone in a texting while driving incident. After Brooklyn dies from a cocaine overdose while on vacation, Orpheus makes a deal with a supernatural entity (Not sure which one yet, but currently leaning towards Thanatos, Zeus, or Lucifer) in exchange for his son's life. The entity agrees, if he brings them one hundred souls. Orpheus then starts kidnapping people he thinks that nobody will miss in order to please the entity, and meet his soul quota.
