For the wip title tag game, I am intrigued by what “Brooklyn VILLAIN” is…

I'm glad you asked! Brooklyn is the son of Orpheus, the villain of what is going to be my next project. Orpheus is a widely detested businessman who spoiled his son rotten, loving him dearly even though Brooklyn was a terrible person who had multiple DUIs, and narrowly avoided jail time for killing someone in a texting while driving incident. After Brooklyn dies from a cocaine overdose while on vacation, Orpheus makes a deal with a supernatural entity (Not sure which one yet, but currently leaning towards Thanatos, Zeus, or Lucifer) in exchange for his son's life. The entity agrees, if he brings them one hundred souls. Orpheus then starts kidnapping people he thinks that nobody will miss in order to please the entity, and meet his soul quota.

Theo’s eyes pop, like he’s just said something that he shouldn’t have. Tama and Layla exchange a glance that says, ‘We fucking knew it’. I knew it too, and so did Nathaniel, but he didn’t wanna believe it until now. We all knew that Theo was hoping for Nathaniel to take him back.

Thanks for the asks! Myrna O’Shaughnessy is Solana’s roommate, and a former Vtuber who was fired from VSweeties, the Vtuber agency that Solana currently works for under the name, Akai Starlight. VSweeties is owned by Viceroy Steadman/Orpheus, and he is known for sexually and emotionally exploiting the Vtubers who work for him, but Solana cannot afford to quit the agency as she has no other income. Myrna is currently helping Solana make it as an indie Vtuber, Kirameki Sunstone, so that she’ll be able to quit VSweeties.

As for Blood On A Yellow Rose, the title is in reference to the fact that the MC (Who I don’t have a name for yet) is a vampire, and yellow roses represent friendship and joy. The MC is a doctor who steals blood packs from the hospital she works at to feed herself with. She got turned in the 80s and isn’t very up to date with the modern world, and she is very much in denial about the fact that she’s aromantic. It’s not until she meets the terminally ill secondary MC that she comes to terms with her identity.

i like to think i have some pretty cool and creative ideas. anyone who knows me knows i basically made up the entirety of my own lore for my skyrim fics (sorry lore people) and i've had some interesting plots along the way.

i never seem to nail dialogue down. i always think that there's too much in one go and often try to split it up with different sentence structures and bits of narration between, but i feel like that messes it up even further.

i'm awkward with descriptions. i think i've definitely gotten better over the years, but still sometimes i can't find the proper way to craft an accurate description that doesn't totally ruin the flow or drag on forever.

Is your character concerned with becoming a better person? Do they consciously take steps to improve themselves? Why or why not?

for now i'll stick to my skyrim peeps since i've written them most recently.

for tharya (my nord ldb) who has good morals but can definitely diverge from them occasionally and knowingly, being a good person is all she has ever tried to be - however, being a better person is exceedingly difficult. she often already puts herself at risk for others and takes care of people before herself, she's not a very selfish/self-focused person, so being "better" in her mind would be being better for other people, which in turn may actually be destructive for her. she's kind of like an endless uphill trend but never reaching the goal.

for miraak, simple answer no. to be fair he's already changed A LOT from who he used to be, both out of necessity and driven by his surroundings. he knows he isn't "morally good and pure" like tharya, and he doesn't care. he's done his changing to adapt to life post-apocrypha, and he very much hits a plateau after a long period of dramatic growth that he doesn't really grow or decline from afterwards.
