Everyone always talks about how when you experience academic success young you internalise that being smart is an inherent trait but what about kids who never experienced academic success young? who saw others breeze pass on concepts they were struggling to remember, kids who didn’t have any disabilities that could explain, kids who everyone wrote off before they could even properly try. The inherit tragedy of being a family with a young smart kid and the other “oh they’re not very academics inclined”
