This is my main blog. I do have a few side blogs for my writing and crafting (and my cat). Originally, this was a sims 2 blog, but now I post about reading and just about anything I’m thinking. I hope you’ll join me! I’m going to try to be more consistent in 2023.

Yaaaaay. The Bluewater challenge is how I originally found & followed you. I'm excited.
Yay! I’m excited too!

Suuuuure they will...never be too certain of anything with sims. Or stories.
That is very true. I suppose we’ll just have to wait and see.

Er, Malcolm? That’s not how you bring in groceries. They’re going to spill all over the ground, you doof!

Too many servants. It’s bad for you not to know how to do for yourself.
He’s going to have to learn. I don’t think his maid or his gardener will help him put away groceries or cook him dinner. He doesn’t have any other staff. At some point he may acquire a robot “butler”, but no one in the neighborhood sells Servos just yet. Malcolm is just going to have to become a real grown up and take care of himself.

The Landgraab Legacy
Malcolm Landgraab IV is the heir to the Landgraab legacy. He just graduated from Sim State University and has finally returned to Bluewater Village to take up his responsibilities. His grandparents died during his freshman year, leaving Malcolm as the sole survivor of the Landgraab legacy. The family home and fortune have been in the care of the family lawyers for the past three years. Malcolm is not entirely certain what all being the heir to the legacy entails. He’ll have to find out soon.
We’ll discover the rules of the legacy along with Malcolm, mostly because he insisted on turning this into more of a story than I originally intended. I think this Malcolm is going to be a bit different from the Malcolm in the first Bluewater Challenge. I’m interested in seeing where this one ends up.

The Jacquet Random Occurences Challenge
The death of her husband, Yves, has not slowed Denise Jacquet down one bit. She’s grateful that her son Gilbert decided to move in with her for a bit “just to make sure she’s doing okay” but she doesn’t need him to take care of her. She does need him to help her with the family bakery, though, so she’s not about to turn him out of the house just yet.
Gilbert loves his mom and he’s happy to help her out whatever way he can, but he’s not actually all that good at baking. His dad’s skills didn’t transfer to him. He’s good with people, though, so if Mom can find a new baker, Gil will be happy to do sales at the bakery until she can get someone for that too. He’s not planning on staying with his mom forever.
The Jacquets don’t really have an official challenge. Instead, I roll for a Random Occurrence Scenario from here and see how that affects the family’s story. Unless the scenario wouldn’t be possible (for instance, if I rolled a “break up with partner” scenario in this first round, when neither Denise nor Gilbert has a romantic interest) I have to go through with it. I may make other exceptions, like killing one of them in the first round (that’s just mean!), but otherwise whatever comes up is what happens and we’ll see how the story unfolds. Last time the ROS generated a few scenarios that made the Jacquets one of my absolute favorite families to play. I don’t know what it will randomize for them this time, but I’m excited to find out!
Definitely try the challenges if you have a chance. The family tree challenge is my favorite out of all of them, I think. (That might be because Florence is my favorite sim of all time...who knows?) In any case, have fun with however you play Bluewater Village! :)

Are you ready for Bluewater Challenge Round 2? Yay!!!
This is how the town stands as we enter Round 2: No one is married (who wasn’t married before). All the single sims except Chester and Cyd have found significant others. 2 sims are expecting, as is one cat. Businesses are booming. I’d say the town is thriving!
Click the pictures for a refresher on who’s doing what challenge. Then let’s head to Landgraab Manor to kick things off in Round 2!
