This is my main blog. I do have a few side blogs for my writing and crafting (and my cat). Originally, this was a sims 2 blog, but now I post about reading and just about anything I’m thinking. I hope you’ll join me! I’m going to try to be more consistent in 2023.

And Here We Find The Dining Room. As You Can See, The Highlight In This Room Is The Fully-stocked Bar.

“And here we find the dining room. As you can see, the highlight in this room is the fully-stocked bar.”
“Wow! Look at all those bottles!”
“Some of the finest vintages in SimNation,” Malcolm acknowledged. “I haven’t added to the collection yet myself, but I’ve sampled some of it.”
Abby laughed.

“Now we come to the upper portion of the Landgraab manor. This floor is dedicated to all of the bedrooms, including two nurseries, two children’s rooms, and two master bedrooms.”
Abby frowned. “That’s a lot of bedrooms. I thought there was kind of this tradition of just one kid per generation.”
Malcolm shrugged. “There is, but that’s more because everyone’s gotten lucky and had a boy on the first try. Technically the legacy rules don’t limit the number of children. You just have to have a boy and name him Malcolm.”
"Do you think you’ll have more than one kid?” Abby asked. “Or will little Malcolm V be the only one?”
Malcolm felt his face flush. He ran a hand through his hair. “I haven’t really thought about it yet,” he said. “I have to get married first.”
“Not necessarily,” Abby said with a grin.
Malcolm grinned back. “Okay, technically I could have a kid before I get married, but even if it was a boy, I don’t think he’d count as heir. There’s a lot of rules about how and when I have to get married. It’s a requirement to keep the legacy going.”
“What if you don’t get married? What if you didn’t want to?”
“I’d lose everything. The legacy would end.”
“Yikes!” Abby laughed. “That’s kind of old-fashioned, isn’t it?”
“It’s tradition,” Malcolm said with a shrug. “Believe me, if I could get around it, I would. The marriage rules are driving me nuts! Let’s keep going with the tour, okay?”
“Lead on, Mr. Landgraab!”

Previously, at the Delarosa household...
Florence moved into her childhood home in Bluewater Village and began renovating it. Her parents had moved to Riverblossom Hills and Florence made sure to write to them regularly to tell them about what she was doing.
Florence turned part of the house into a flower and garden shop and began fixing up the old greenhouse as well. She joined the garden club, too.
An old college friend called Florence to go on an outing in the city and she ended up meeting another old friend, Gilbert Jacquet. She found out that Gilbert was moving back to Bluewater to help his mom after his father’s death.
Florence went out with the garden club and became closer to one of the members, Herb. They arranged to go out on a proper date at another time.
Let’s see what Florence gets up to this time, shall we?
Letters to the Editor
@didilysims asked about letters to the editor regarding Abby’s tell-all article and I haven’t been able to stop thinking about it. It took me a bit, but I’ve managed to pull some together. They’re under a cut, as they got a bit long. Enjoy!
Dear Editor,
That article about Malcolm Landgraab did not belong on the front page of the paper. Watcher, is there no other news in town, so you had to use that? Gossip about rich snobs should be put in the gossip pages, not the headlines. I know we live in a small town, but there has to be more interesting or important news than a story about a reporter duping the richest man in town into dating her.
~Disgruntled News Seeker
Dear Editor,
I was both surprised and disappointed to see the article about Malcolm Landgraab that you published the other day. I have met Mr. Landgraab around town and bought a few items at his store. I found him to be a much nicer person than the article described. I’ve never heard him yell at anyone. He seems like a very friendly person who just wants to help his customers. Mr. Landgraab, there are people in this town who like you and don’t believe what that woman wrote about you. Don’t let her get you down.
~Concerned for Landgraab
Dear Editor,
Abigail Slater should be fired and so should you! She should never have been allowed to published that article she wrote about one of our town’s citizens. Did no one read the article before it was printed? How dare she write such horrible things about a man whose family was one of the founding families of our town! Surely he should be treated with more respect than that! This is the last time I will even think about The Bluewater Herald. I am cancelling my subscription and telling everyone I know to do the same. How dare you! I hope Mr. Landgraab sues the pants off you!
~Furious
Dear Editor,
That reporter, Abigail Slater, should be fired! Not only did she use tricky methods to get that story, but she also probably took Malcolm Landgraab IV off the market forever! I mean, seriously! If you didn’t want him, then why couldn’t you just leave him alone for the rest of us? Now he probably won’t ever get married and the rest of us will be left to just dream about him instead of having a chance to win him for ourselves. Thanks a lot, sister!

THE BLUEWATER HERALD
MALCOLM LANDGRAAB IV: THE MAN BEHIND THE LEGACY
by: Abigail Slater

At the beginning of this year, the heir to the Landgraab Legacy returned to Bluewater Village. Malcolm Landgraab, the fourth of his name, has returned to the family manor and taken over the family businesses. He has been seen around town, both working at his businesses and looking for love in all the wrong places.

For the past season, this reporter has been lucky enough to be the object of Mr. Landgraab’s affections and last night my efforts finally paid off, as I finally got a chance to step into his private world and discover more about the man behind the legacy. (cont. 2A “Landgraab”)
