One day soon I’ll tell Herb how I feel and, well, we’ll see what happens after that.  In the meantime, I have my shop and my garden to tend to. I promise I’ll let you guys know the minute anything important happens.

Florence’s round was quick, simple, sweet, and drama-free.  It was a lot of fun to play, even if not all that much happened. Next time will be more exciting, I’m sure.  In the meantime, enjoy these pictures that didn’t fit with Florence’s letter. 

Florence kept looking at the camera while on her date with Herb, as if to say, “:Isn’t he the cutest?  Can I keep him?”

Herb is pretty cute (especially looking out at the weather), so I will definitely let her keep him.  

I don’t know much about Herb yet (I really should have had Florence ask him some questions but I forgot), but I know that (a) he loves to sing and (b) he’s not very good at it.  That didn’t stop him, and since Florence isn’t too good at karaoke either, she didn’t mind. 

I wanted to have Florence say a bit more about Gilbert and Breanna, because their relationship really does seem to be an odd one, but I don’t think Florence would want to go into too much detail writing to her parents. Gil and Breanna had a pillow fight at Flo’s house, but then Gilbert had coffee with another girl on the boardwalk while Breanna was there, but THEN he let Breanna sit on his lap while they were hanging out later. I need to remember this weird relationship for the Jacquet round. We’ll see where it goes then, I guess. 

Anyways, the Tinkers are up next, so let’s end on a picture of Wanda in the flower shop.

Round 2 is finally, finally over!  It feels like it’s taken forever, and a LOT happened!

The Landgraab Legacy

Malcolm had quite an eventful round!  Seriously, we started things off with a bang this round!  Malcolm was pretty sure Abby was the one for him, but it turned out she was just in it to get a story. Malcolm’s...not doin’ so hot now.  Is the legacy going to end with him? 

The Delarosa Differences in the Family Tree Challenge

Compared to Malcolm, Florence’s round was completely boring. She mostly spent it running her shop and hanging out with her new sweetie, Herb.  I’m hoping she’ll kick things into gear next time, but we’ll have to wait and see. 

The Tinker Ten Kids Challenge

The Tinkers added two more little ones to their family this round: Bass and Treble.  Little Cadence aged up to a toddler and then a child by the end of the round.  Stephen got abducted by aliens and came back pregnant, and then he got Wanda pregnant too!  We’re almost at that 10 kid milestone already!  At the end of the round Melody moved to college. 

The Ramirez Random Challenge

The Ramirezes learned to love (or hate) grilled cheese sandwiches this round.  (Tessa was going through a phase.)  Also, Checo and Lisa went to their first grown up party in a while and, well, the night had some consequences that have not quite yet made themselves known.  (In other words, baby Ramirez incoming next round!  Woohoo!)

The Larson Business Challenge

Jason and Jodie drove each other (and me) crazy. It was mostly Jason’s fault this time.  He traumatized his sister by making out with his girlfriend on the couch.  Jodie went out and got drunk to try to erase that image from her brain and ended up meeting a nice guy.  They went on a date later. Jason hired his girlfriend to work at his store.  He thinks that’s a good idea. I think it’s time to throw a wrench or two into the works with these guys.  We’ll see what happens.

The Jacquet ROS Challenge

Denise finally started healing after Yves’s death. She got a cat named Hardimos and went back to the bakery with Gilbert.  (There is now cheesecake available at the bakery.  The Tinkers may or may not have purchased some...)  Gilbert officially started going out with Breanna Custer. 

The Supernatural Roomies Challenge

Chester and Cyd went on vacation to Takemizu Village.  Cyd didn’t get all the vacation memories he needed (no ninjas, for instance) but he’s made a good start toward his goal.  I’m not sure Chester really did anything significant.  Maybe he learned to make more robots?  I don’t remember...

The Crazy Kat Lover Challenge

Tara Kat’s household expanded with three kittens, and there are more kittens on the way!  Also Tara got a bit more serious with her boyfriend Jareth, who seems to be pretty okay with all the cats.  I’m just not sure there’ll be room for him to move in next round.  It depends on how many kittens we get!  Yay kittens!

The Wacky Kim Officially Wacky Boolprop Challenge

The Kims got the (dubious) honor of bringing the plot back around again.  Cynthia and her best friend, Sylvia Marie Mashuga, heard about what happened to Malcolm and began plotting to set him up with someone new.  Malcolm wasn’t on board with the idea.  Meanwhile, Robert began making robots and Justin made friends with a couple neighborhood kids. 

Melody Tinker at College

Melody moved into a dorm with a bunch of premade college students turned dormies, which provided me with a lot of drama to watch while Mel was at class.  Melody decided to major in math and went looking for friends around campus.  She passed her first year of college with flying colors!

And that was the end of Round Two! We’re going to have a bit of an interlude before we go into Round Three.  

The Delarosa round will officially begin posting tomorrow!  The queue should put up one post a day, and there are 17 posts in the queue at the moment.  I’m going to start playing the Tinker round now, so maybe I’ll be able to queue up those posts as well. I’ll let you know if I add more to the queue.  Otherwise, consider Florence’s round your Christmas/holiday gift from me.  Enjoy!

Dear Mom and Dad,

Fall isn’t off to a great start around here.  My computer is on the fritz, my toilet is clogging, and it seems like the weeds are growing faster than I can pull them.  

The business isn’t doing so hot either.  I’ve finally got the hang of sales, I think, but some of the people who come in just aren’t interested in buying my flowers.  So why come in at all?  Watcher, it’s frustrating!  I’m not making as much money as before, which means restocking the shelves is getting harder. 

The worst thing of all happened tonight.  Someone broke into my house!  I don’t think they took anything, but there was definitely someone here.  I heard them bumping and banging around.  I called the police right away, but the officer came too late to catch whoever it was.  I spent the rest of the night tossing and turning, unable to sleep.  I finally got up to write to you guys.  I wish you were here...I don’t feel safe by myself anymore...

Dear Mom and Dad,

Thanks for the reassuring call.  It was good to hear your voices, and to get your advice.  I invited Herb over right after we hung up.  He got here really fast and I was so glad to see him!  I told him everything. 

Herb held me close and told me that he loves me.  We’ve said it a couple times now, but this time was the first time it felt like it really meant something.  After he let me go, he got down on one knee and proposed!  He said he wanted to keep me safe and keep me company, and that he wants to help me make the business and garden thrive.  

I said yes, of course! We’re going to get married right before winter.  I’ll send you guys an official invitation soon.  In the meantime, Herb is moving in with me. (He lived in a crappy apartment, and I have so much room, so why not?) 

I’m so happy! I love him so much, and I know you’ll like him. I already feel safer having him around.

P.S. Herb and I are taking care of the garden together now, and he managed to fix the computer!  Like I said, I feel safer having him here.  I think things are taking a turn for the better. 

Dear Diary,

It’s been a while since I’ve written, but I have loads of news to share now!  Herb and I are engaged!  I wrote Mom and Dad about it and they came down from Riverblossom Hills to meet him!  

We all went out to Bernard’s Botanical Dining for dinner, so Mom and Dad could get to know Herb a little, and so he could get to know them.  Dad ordered champagne and toasted us, which I took as him giving us his blessing.  I think he and Mom would have liked for Herb to go up there and ask before he proposed, but it’s too late now!

After dinner, Dad and Herb talked a bit more in private.  (I think Mom and I was talking to the host about using the restaurant for the reception.)  Herb told me later that Dad said he liked him, but that “I’ll use you for fertilizer if you break her heart.” I’m fairly sure it was an idle threat...

Mom took me out dress shopping.  She doesn’t have her dress any more, but she’d brought me the flower crown she wore at her wedding, and I’ll definitely wear that.  It took a while to find the right dress - not too formal or floofy or frilly - but I finally chose the one I wanted.  It’s just right for the simple wedding I want.  

After I paid for the dress, Mom asked me to sit with her for a while longer. It turned out she wanted to talk to me about Herb.  She was worried.  I haven’t said as much as I thought about him in my letters, I guess, and she felt the engagement was kind of sudden.  It was spur of the moment, I admit, but I’ve known I wanted to marry Herb for a while.  I explained how much I love him - that he’s my sunshine when life is dreary and gray - and I think Mom finally understood.  She feels the same way about Dad. 

The wedding is coming up soon, diary.  Herb and I can hardly wait.  I know that I’m making the right choice.

Dear Diary,

Herb and I are finally married!  We went to the park for the ceremony, and we only invited Mom, Dad, Gilbert, and Breanna (although we got several other uninvited guests at the park). I am so, so happy!

Dear Mom and Dad,

Thanks for the reception photos.  I hadn’t seen the one of Gilbert and Herb outside. It was really good to see you guys.  I’m so glad you got to come, and I hope we can visit again soon.  Maybe Herb and I can come up to Riverblossom Hills to visit you guys next time. 

Herb and I are settling in pretty well as a married couple.  He’s helping out in the shop.  With him at the register, I can focus on selling.  We got up to a level 6!  Herb wants to start selling our produce from the garden, and fish from the pond, but I think we’ll wait until spring for that.  It’s nice having a gardening buddy, though.  Things go much faster with two of us. 

Well, it’s late, and my hubby is waiting for me, so I’m going to sign off.  It really was great to see you guys for the wedding.  I’m hoping that we’ll have another reason for you guys to come visit soon enough.  I’ll let you know as soon as there’s any news.
