This is my main blog. I do have a few side blogs for my writing and crafting (and my cat). Originally, this was a sims 2 blog, but now I post about reading and just about anything I’m thinking. I hope you’ll join me! I’m going to try to be more consistent in 2023.

“I’m good. How are you?”
“Fine, thanks.”
“So, do you still want to go out somewhere tomorrow?” Malcolm asked, his heart beating faster.
“Sure,” she said. “Any idea where?”
Malcolm thought for a moment. He’d seen several restaurants in town, but which one would be the best for a first date? Gorilla Burger was out of the question. That was the kind of greasy fast food joint you didn’t take a girl to unless you were really cheap (and didn’t want a second date). There was the cafe, but he didn’t really want to go back there. He’d seen one other place, but it had seemed kind of fancy.
“Have you been to Le Magnifique before?” he asked.
"No, but I’ve heard it’s really nice. I’d like to try it.”
“Okay then. Do you want to meet there, or should I pick you up?”
“We can meet there. My office is pretty close and I think it’s supposed to be nice tomorrow night. I’ll walk over and meet you.”
“Around six-thirty, maybe?”
“Works for me. I’ll see you then!”
“Great! See you then.”
Malcolm hung up with a big grin on his face and headed for bed. It had been a long day, but overall a pretty great one.

“Thanks for a great evening,” Malcolm replied. “I had a lot of fun.”
“Me too.”
“Can I call you again some time?” he asked hesitantly.
“I’d like that.”
“All right. I’ll call you. Soon.”
“I’ll look forward to it.”
They stood together for a silent moment, unwilling to let the evening end. Somewhere in town, a clock chimed. It was after 1 am. Abby sighed and moved away.
“I’ve got to work tomorrow,” she said sadly. “I need to get home and get some sleep.”
“Good night,” Malcolm said.
“Good night.”
She reached out and touched his hand for just a few seconds before walking away to her car. Malcolm stood and watched her drive out of the lot. Once again, he couldn’t wipe the goofy grin off his face. He watched until her tail lights disappeared, then went to his own car and headed home.

“Hey, just wanted to let you know I’m on my way. I’ll see you in a few minutes? Great!”

Malcolm looked over at the counter, where Thea was angrily scribbling on a clipboard. “Excuse me,” he said to Raven, and walked back to his other employee.
“I want to apologize again,” he said. “Raven said you’ve worked really hard to make this place great. I’m not about to barge in and undo all your work. I want to be involved, yes, but I’m not going to try to change things. It sounds like you’re doing a great job. Can we work together, maybe?”
Thea’s angry expression softened ever so slightly. “You’re not going to take over?” she asked.
“No,” Malcolm said. “I promise. I’ll probably check in every couple of days, and I’d like to help with sales if I can, but basically, you’re still in charge. If you want to be. I just want to be in the loop.”
Thea reached up and fiddled with her glasses for a moment. The corner of her mouth tilted up just for a second. She held out her clipboard. “If you want to help, take a look at this and make sure I didn’t miscount anything.”
Malcolm took the clipboard and smiled. “Will do,” he said with a nod.

He looks really bored. Maybe he gets better service that way.
I think part of that is his face template, but yeah, he does look bored, and you might be right that it gets him better service. I don’t know...
