I think the Kims kept Gabby because otherwise she would have ended up at a shelter, but they’re not really good with dogs. (Well, Justin is, but Robert and Cynthia aren’t.) Robert likes playing with the dog and giving her treats, and he keeps rolling wants to scold her, but I don’t think he’d notice if she wasn’t there one day.

I’m not sure he cares about his son all that much either. He did agree to take Justin to the park to help him get over his bad school day, but he just doesn’t seem enthusiastic about it...

See? There’s just not all that much emotion on Bob’s face, even when he’s pushing his son on the swings...I had to make him get off the swing to push Justin in the first place...

Gabby met another dog at the park, but they didn’t get along. She did seem to like the cat that wandered by, though. Maybe because she’s more used to working with a cat on TV?

Gabby loves to play fetch. She’ll play with anyone.

Melody, honey, you’re going to college next round. You can’t get a dog. (The last thing I need in your house is a pet to take care of too...)

Justin decided the spinny thing was more fun than having his dad push him half-heartedly on the swings.

Robert has a want for Cyd to be cured of lycanthropy, so I’m not sure this was a good conversation. I’m glad he had it, though. One of the requirements for the challenge is to have a werewolf, and it’s much easier for Cyd to bite someone than for the family to try to meet the leader of the pack. I don’t know who will be our werewolf. Maybe Justin could do that too? He’s covering a lot of the other pets requirements...

Gabby was surprisingly good in the bath. Robert wasn’t too happy about it, though. He’s used to taking the dog to the groomer’s, not doing it himself. (I would have had Justin do it, but kids can’t bathe dogs, apparently.)

I love Justin.

Cynthia: Oh! So that’s what’s been going on! Cool!

How many times can I say that I love Justin?

Cynthia: Bob, I’ve got some big news. I’m pregnant!
Robert: *actually showing some emotion for once* That’s awesome, honey!
I swear, the only person he cares about is his wife. It’s kind of sweet, I guess...

Cynthia: Gee, I can’t see the fish. There’s all this green stuff in the tank.

Here’s another job that kids can’t do--cleaning the fish tank. Robert’s not too happy about having to stick his arm in there. He got algae all over his sweater.

Cynthia and Robert went to the Tinkers’ toy store to get some things for the new baby. Robert chatted with people while Cynthia bought quite a few toys.
Robert: Did you get everything you needed, honey?
Cynthia: I think so. I got loads of toys...Do you think we need a crib or a potty or anything?
Robert: Nah. Let’s dance!
These two are going to be great parents. I can tell.

Cynthia had a want to throw a party for the whole rotation, so on Wednesday, I let her fulfill that wish. She invited most of the town to come over to celebrate her pregnancy.

To my surprise, most of the guests actually came! I was hoping that Tessa could make friends with Justin, but she left pretty quickly and I didn’t get a picture of them meeting.

Of course, the guest the Kims were the most excited to meet was Malcolm Landgraab. They both spent time chatting with him over the course of the evening.

Cynthia led the guests in the smustle, because that’s what you do at a party!
