Thanks so much @athenswrites for the tag! This should be fun, lol. I really couldn't decide what WIP to use! But since I mostly do Asteria Heights and Crown of Blood, I figure I'd try introducing a WIP I haven't talked about before. So I'll be using the Traveling Bards!

Rules: List your OCs as “tens but” to give us a not at all comprehensive scope of their characters

Luna: Is a ten, but would kill a man for a good bagel, and probably has. Currently has several felony charges and a bounty on her head.

Iris: Is a ten, but has been accused of stabbing a man 3 years ago in the back of a tavern over an illegal tome of arcane magic.

Claire: Is a ten, but has committed several acts of treason and would do it again for the right price. Also has an extensive collection of dried plants and animal parts in her bottomless satchel.

Felix: Is a ten, but has no almost concept of morality and absolutely no respect for anyone besides his sisters. Has calculated 83 separate ways to take over the kingdom without military resistance.

Bonus: Side Characters

Leopold: Is a ten, but doesn't understand the concept of poverty.

Genevieve: Is a ten, but is so unaware of it it's actually suspicious.

Crown of Blood (unofficial title)

WIP Intro

Genre: Dark Fantasy, Suspense, Political Intrigue

POV: First person

Warnings: Blood, violence, death

Setting: Pseudo-Medieval European and Japanese fusion fantasy kingdom

Summary: Kairi never considered what would happen when she died. She always figured she’d find out when the time came. She never realized that time would come so soon. After a freak car accident, she wakes up not only in a life not her own, but in one that is all too familiar. 

She finds herself in the world of the last book she read as none other than the main antagonist, the dreaded Princess Adrasteia. Now, Kairi must scramble to not only survive a new and dangerous life filled with more enemies than allies, but to change the course of her own ending. But nothing-and no one- are as they originally appeared, especially compared to what Kairi remembers from the novel. And as for Adrasteia… it seems she isn’t as “gone” as Kairi might have thought.

I'm only now getting around to things but I'd love to hear more about "Traveling Bards" for the WIP List game. My head immediately goes to cozy adventure with that sort of name but I might be wrong so I'm very curious. :)

You're kind of right! Lol. I haven't formally introduced this one yet, but Traveling Bards is an adventure-comedy surrounding a trio of sisters, who die due to a cosmic administrative error. As compensation, they get sent to a pseudo-medieval fantasy world as (technically?) mages. After a series of shenanigans, they drop out of magic school, "kidnap" a young boy in need of escape, and travel the world playing music and getting into chaos. And running from the law, since their "kidnapping" of the prince is, well, treason.

I'd certainly hope it comes across as cozy! Though the sisters are certainly very chaotic. Since they still retain their memories of their previous life, it's pretty much impossible for them to even begin blending in, which leads to even more problems for them, lol.

This is definitely one of the ones that I dream of one day getting to see adapted into a comic and/or animated TV series! 😂Thanks for the ask!

Time for your characters to take a break from all the things they're going through and have a bit of bonding time(?) with coffee and/or other drinks that bring a sense of comfort. If they stay at home, who would make the drinks ready? Or, where would they be able to order a coffee or a tea? Would they go in a coffee shop or would they go somewhere else? Would there be any interesting conversations happening or would there be awkward silence? Who would be the first to leave?
