Heres My Drone Dragon Mask! (that I Apparently Never Posted Nice Photos Of.) Its Based On A Robotic Dragon

Here’s my drone dragon mask! (that I apparently never posted nice photos of.) It’s based on a robotic dragon concept, along the lines of protogens or synths but simplified to work with my riveted leather aesthetic. The black visor is also leather, with a pattern of a few hundred holes to allow for filtered vision, but blocking the view to the inside.

It's got enough space inside to fit over glasses!

Designed by me, laser-cut out of 4 oz thick vegetable-tanned leather, then dyed, formed and assembled by hand with nickel-plated rivets and buckles.

A friend recently ordered a bi pride scale maille choker necklace, so here it is along with the rainbow one I keep for myself. I swear the purple is actually purple in real life, the lighting that day was just particularly weird. These are made with large anodized aluminum scales, woven together with stainless steel rings. And here's the Etsy listing, if you'd like one for yourself!                                    

Here’s a batch of small things that I shipped out this week.

In order, we got: scale bracelets in stainless steel and bronze; a matched set of choker necklace and bracelet in the colors of the asexual pride flag; bronze scale earrings; a bunch of leather fortune cookies; and a leather barrette in the shape of a dragon wing.

My Etsy store is still open for Christmas orders! Anything ordered by December 15th will be shipped out by the 18th. After that, I will be out of town visiting family (as safely as I can without being disowned) until the new year.

New shorter version of my canine muzzle mask (previously). Tried out this neon edge paint look, and I really liked how it turned out! Sadly it took forever because I didn’t have quite the right paint for the job, so it required like 5 coats. But I added glow-in-the-dark pigment to the mix, so that’s neat.

I thought about doing a fun gimmick like only black items are on sale, but actually I want to make more colorful things right now, so I just went for black promo pieces and put everything on sale.

Made another collar to continue testing out the process. An issue I had on the previous one was that my laser cutter is not large enough to cut the whole strap at once. But if I broke the top strap into multiple smaller pieces, I could get the necessary full length. So I tested out the idea by making a rainbow! Each color gets its own separate fragment of strap, and they all get attached down onto a sturdy base layer. I'm still working out the sizing though. The previous collar was smaller than I wanted, so I lengthened the straps a bit for this one. But without the extra layer of lining sewn in, this one ended up being rather longer than I'd wanted. So I guess I'll just have to make another one, oh woe is me. 2 layers of 8 oz vegetable-tanned leather, cut with the help of a laser, then dyed, finished and assembled by hand. Strap is 1.5" wide.
