This Is A Joking Rant So Dont Mind Me

This is a joking rant so don’t mind me

I love Drukkari fanfiction, they’re usually so cute and adorable. But some of it is so unrealistic. Like what do you mean Makkari was living peacefully in America during 1775? I’m not sure if people remember but that’s when slavery was around. Also, why don’t people ever mention slavery, homophobia, or ableism in this fanfics. Like how do you wanna write about World War Two, the plague, etc but not slavery. You can’t write them thought out all of history but ignore racism because I’ve seen fanfictions where they’re in certain years and they talk about how Makkari or Phastos was chilling in America like why are you lying?

Also I low key wanna see the eternals jump some racists for Makkari, Phastos, Kingo, etc. like jump them like the characters in JJK be jumping curses.

How are you, a complete stranger going to come on my post and tell me that I’m trivialising a black woman’s pain over a lighthearted joke that Shuri “won by having the hottest bf”?? Additionally, why do you think because I’m enjoying the nuanced connection Shuri and Namor shared I’m somehow trivialising her pain??

Firstly, let me set you lot who like to go on people’s posts and be unnecessarily rude without knowing the facts straight— I’m black (with mixed heritage as I’m from the Caribbean) and I’m very aware of the pain Shuri experienced as a black woman who’s also navigated complicated grief myself, and I’ve made several posts analysing this at length, let’s start there. Second of all, Namor is also a character of colour and he too experienced pain and grief which is what fuelled ALL of his actions. He is NOT a villain, he’s an antagonist, and yall who are painting him as a villain because you claim “he killed Ramonda!!!!!” clearly need to rewatch the movie because what you’re doing is marginalising indigenous voices and their historical trauma by solely vilifying him. Namor didn’t overtly kill Ramonda, he had a role in her death yes, but ultimately Ramonda made a choice to save Riri vs her own life. Erik very explicitly tells Shuri not to minimise her mother’s sacrifice, because that’s what it was, a sacrifice. Namor and Shuri both add to each other’s pain whether directly or indirectly throughout the movie. They’re both flawed characters, neither is better than the other and that was the point you lot are missing — their journeys and experiences mirror and parallel each other. Whenever two characters of colour are contrasted and oppose each other, some of you very clearly show your true colours and how singleminded and problematic you can be and it’s gross.

One of the major themes of this movie was that the enemy is never fellow marginalised groups, it’s colonialism — more specifically neo-colonialism and how it pits us as people of colour against each other, blinding us to the exploitation of our resources and people. If your key takeaway from this movie was to vilify Namor and infantilise Shuri reducing her only to a pained and grieving character, congratulations you missed the whole f*cking point of the movie. Good for you 🙂. Here’s a 🍪 for being vapid.

But let me make something abundantly clear, just because people are shipping a couple doesn’t mean they’re not also making analyses of how the coupling can be or is dysfunctional. Many namuri shippers have pointed out where Namor and Shuri (paired together) are flawed and how their pain and grief fuelled/debilitated them. Also, know your f*cking place and don’t come at people you don’t know so disrespectfully. Proximity is a hell of a thing and a lot of you forget you’re literally strangers on the internet and attack people without knowing the facts.

Don’t ever think you can come on MY page or respond to MY posts being disrespectful and not get blocked. My block button stays hot and ready. Who do some of you think you are lmao???

hey selbree shippers

do you think tracy deonn will include a love scene between bree and sel in the next book? i'm not saying an explicit one, but a steamy, kind of fade to black kind of love scene?

i mean she's given us a lot of implications in both LB and BM:

during the dance scene Bree imagines Sel's fingers leaving marks on other places of her skin

she was drooling at his half-dressed form, in his room, alone

the WHOLE BATHROOM SCENE IN BM

HE LITERALLY CALLED HER DEVOURABLE!

He PUSHED HER UP AGAINST A TREE DURING THEIR 1ST KISS AND IF HE HADN"T PULLED AWAY WOULD THEY HAVE GONE ALL THE WAY (Bree didn't want them to stop -> and plenty of fic writers wrote smut for that kiss scene)

so yeah like i said, if tracy did decide to give us a bree/sel love scene i dont think it would be anything explicit given that the series is for ages 16+ (but then again sjm whole acotar series is basically smut so idk), but she would probably have to give us a a yr time jumo so she can be of age since she turned 17 in BM

anyway what do y'all think?

“bree has two hands! let’s make bree x nick x sel poly and end stupid cliche love triangles.” fandom loves to say this line when there’s a WoC particular a Black woman as the main love interest and they want to ship the two yt boys together w/o coming off as racist.

for example the witcher fandom with yennefer. despite yennefer having “two hands” as of now geralt x jaskier is the biggest ship with 13262 fics on ao3, geralt x yennefer has 1454 fic and the poly ship has 812.

bffr and just admit the real reason why y’all want that.

I just watched that clip on twitter of Philza talking about how the qsmp was amazing and how it made him feel valued and etc, etc. I go in them comments and I’m suddenly flooded with memories of being a dsmp fan. People in there talking about how all the smaller creators weren’t valued and I rememberrrrr.

Being a fan of anyone who wasn’t the bigger cc (even then) was hard. I was a Ponk fan (his lore was soooo fucking good (love is dead)) but the way I found out about his lore was so complicated. It was through a TikTok and having to go watch ALL his streams to figure out wtf was going on. I also really like Eret and Foolish lore but that shit was hard to find out. To this day we don’t know what the fuck was going on with those two and how their gods and they knew each other from the past and blah blah blah. Imma not even touch on how Nicki, Puffy, and Hannah were treated. But it sucked to be a fan of smaller creators on the dsmp.

All this to sayyyyy. Ponk is African and speaks fluently in Zulu. I’m manifesting that African creators that speak Zulu get put on the Qsmp so Ponk can get the lore and the love he fucking deservessssss

Manifesting. Manifesting. Manifesting! 🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽

I would love to watch the house of the dragon but instead of the war, it’s just everyone beefing with each other.

I also know Baela and Rheana deliver the most sinister roasts like everyone knows not to mess with those two.
