I just watched that clip on twitter of Philza talking about how the qsmp was amazing and how it made him feel valued and etc, etc. I go in them comments and I’m suddenly flooded with memories of being a dsmp fan. People in there talking about how all the smaller creators weren’t valued and I rememberrrrr.
Being a fan of anyone who wasn’t the bigger cc (even then) was hard. I was a Ponk fan (his lore was soooo fucking good (love is dead)) but the way I found out about his lore was so complicated. It was through a TikTok and having to go watch ALL his streams to figure out wtf was going on. I also really like Eret and Foolish lore but that shit was hard to find out. To this day we don’t know what the fuck was going on with those two and how their gods and they knew each other from the past and blah blah blah. Imma not even touch on how Nicki, Puffy, and Hannah were treated. But it sucked to be a fan of smaller creators on the dsmp.
All this to sayyyyy. Ponk is African and speaks fluently in Zulu. I’m manifesting that African creators that speak Zulu get put on the Qsmp so Ponk can get the lore and the love he fucking deservessssss

Ponk did a banger improvised speech in his stream yesterday (“Dream SMP—> Master Oogway shrine pt.93”), about 15 minutes in.
And I decided, as you do when your fave only feeds you crumbs of roleplay, to write a bit analyzing it (From this point on it’s all /rp)!!
Ponk starts by looking down the L’manburg crater and talking about the cycle of conflicts on the server. As one of the original eight members on the SMP he has been apart of most of it, even if sometimes neutral and from an outside perspective. Different to characters like Technoblade, he doesn’t view countries or governments as the root of said conflicts. Instead, it’s something more fundamental, basic - it’s civilization:
“Civilization is just a brutal cycle of destruction and corruption”
Before L’manburg, before any kind of power structure, there have been conflicts. The disc war, Ponks lemon trees burning - the only thing as constant as conflict on the Dream SMP is people living together in an area, trying to make it work.
“Out of corruption, friendship… you know what is born? New civilizations. And you know what happens in civilizations? Conflict”
This isn’t Ponk criticizing the concept of civilization, however. Ponk doesn’t distance himself from people in the way Techno or maybe Hbomb does, he still has attachments, his trees, pets, people, things he cares (or cared) about. Many of his builds are close to the main area. Ponk is a social character, I don’t see a reason to assume otherwise. He doesn’t criticize civilizations in general, but the ones present on the SMP right now. Because in Ponks eyes, there is only on leader fit to run.
“You see, the only man, who could run a civilization, died fighting for a civilization that he took under his wing”, Ponk says, “and he lays rest over there”
When Ponk zoomed onto Schlatts grave, it caught me off guard at first.

Like??? Dome church? Vs the cannibals? YES. My favorite parts include:
-Kanye West ramming his car into the dome church
-The lovely background music provided by Ty
-The fact wilbur gave everyone nicknames(The Messiah, Puck, Sofa, Pebble, Smoke, Lake Boy)
-Wilbur going "I wanna try :D" and shooting WeirdFish in the head and everyone just goes "oh no wilbur go back to the church, we'll take care of this"
Also I haven't seen anyone talking about this, but when everyone was in the staircase of the church and wilbur started freaking out and saying he was claustrophobic and started swinging his knife? Potential angsty back story, anyone 👀??
fuck i love it when someone goes into Pogtopia, it feels stuck in time and you can just feel how tense the 16th was as well as the tragedy that occurred there

alivebur: 4/10 will go on a crazy ramble, and he's very cold. the evil laugh is on point tho, and pretty good squeeze
Ghostbur: 9/10 he would just act like i'm the best. i like those hugs. he's cold though, and the blue would be hard to clean up :/
Philza: 10/10 dad hugs. and wings. great mix. and he's fucking Philza Minecraft
Techno: 5/10 he wouldn't hug back at first, but once he does it's warm. but the hugs are always too short and he barely even sqeezes.
Tommy: 6/10 this child will stab you. other than that, pretty solid hug.
Tubbo: 7/10 this child won't stab you. but he will make a vague threat. he seems warm though, and he would do the lil squeeze
Ranboo: 9/10 he tall. and he is a dad and a lesbian. dads and lesbians give the best hugs. he has a tail too, and it'll probably wrap around hug receiver. good hug :) he might have an existential crisis mid-hug tho :(
Karl: 10/10 have you seen this man? he would give the best hugs. like, hug tight with one hand and the other in hair. aaaaaaaaaaaa cold hands, tho

Foolish: 9/10 this 24 foot motherfucker could carry me like a baby. the initial lift would be terrifying, but i would feel like baby, so it would be worth it
Eret: 9/10 she would do the thing where she wraps his arms around you. and does the squeezy. but will step on the feet every time without fail
BBH: 2/10 will try to bring you into his weird egg cult. but dad vibes
Antfrost: 5/10 kitty but egg. but tall and could carry me like baby. but i would need to join egg cult... time to be mind controlled ig
Ponk: 9/10 he gives off the vibes
Sam: ?/10 he's a bit of a wild card, he would give good hugs, but at the same time, look at what happened to Ponk

I was re-watching Ponk’s lore stream and something caught my interest…
“You know what, Sam. You know what - you say you have an issue with the Egg, huh? You say you have an issue with being controlled by the Egg and whatnot. Is the prison not controlling you? Huh? Is it not - can you not see yourself being controlled?” -Ponk
I find it really… intriguing, that line. Ponk talks like he knows the Egg controls people, is controlling him. He doesn’t talk like BBH who defends everything the Egg stands for, he claims that the Egg will give you whatever you want, that it is there to help you, not harm you. He doesn’t talk like Ant who talks nothing but high praise for the Egg. He doesn’t talk like Punz who sounds relieved and happy and content, as if the Egg gave him everything he wanted.
For some reason, Ponk is self-aware. He can admit what the Egg is actually doing. Just listen to the tone of his voice, he wasn’t ironically quoting the word ‘controlled’, he was saying it as if it were facts. Maybe it was because he willingly gave himself to the Egg, maybe it was because he broke out of it’s control once, maybe it’s because I’m looking at it wayyy too deeply. But I don’t think that’s the case.
BBH, as we all know, willingly gave himself to the Egg because he wanted to be with Skeppy. Because he was heart-broken upon losing his friend. (Just like Ponk). BBH also broke out of the Egg’s influence once. (Just like Ponk). Yet their situations are completely different. BBH has completely(questionable) lost his sense of self. All he cares about now is the Egg and it’s plans. Ponk, despite not being controlled by the Egg for as long as BBH, is the voice of the Egg. The Egg talks through him and yet he still has a will of his own. He’s had the Egg’s voice in his head for the longest time yet it still can’t get a firm grip on him.
I find it really interesting, that he even cares to snap Sam out of it. It was obvious that Sam was at his lowest, his mind was very vulnerable, an easy prey for the Egg. But instead of luring him to the Egg, Ponk tried to help Sam. Why? Why not just run to the Egg and trap the warden there when he had the chance? I don’t understand, but his self-awareness really piques my interest ><
I really don’t know where this went, I was just rambling-
ponk and bad are, hands down, the most fascinating in how they interact with the egg. they are the only two eggpire members that are not only cognizant of the brainwashing the egg does, but the ones who chose to be possessed. and the commonality between them? love.
ponk and bad are amazing villains because their arc is centered around their relationships to sam/skeppy (although bad moreso than ponk), which is such a wonderful contrast from dream and his lack of attachments. it definitely throws off some fans, (hence the theories claiming they were corrupted for power) because we’re taught that antagonists don’t love. that their characters shouldn’t be about love. that love should be good, love should defeat all evil, love is for heroes.
but love hurts. a lot. and c!ponk and c!bad are a perfect example of how vulnerable and desperate it can make a person. this is not the disc arc, where the story ends with a hero’s love triumphing over the apathetic villain. the egg arc is a story that starts when that hero gives up.
lol everyone is sleeping on the eggpire when it’s literally: the unofficial leader of the manhunt hunters who has been in a 3v1 against techno and won, Cartoon-Logic-Extraordinaire himself who can bs his way through almost anything, the guy fucking Dream calls on to do his dirty work, a 20 ft magical catboy, the server’s only doctor who also only has one of his own limbs left and canonically sold his soul, and fucking purpled

Awesamdude and Ponk still bump into each other, and they both flinch before speaking. Sam stays on his right side, because he can’t bear to be next to the evidence of his worst moment. Ponk keeps his hand close to his chest, as if fearing it will be taken as well. They both smile behind their masks as a gesture, but it does not reach their eyes.

Captain Puffy hasn’t spoken properly to Niki in a long, long time. She was surprised to see her at the banquet, but it was a lovely chance to reconnect. To talk again, to see if the promise ring was still there. And then Niki watched Puffy - a sworn knight - slaughter Antfrost right in front of her. Puffy broke her oaths, after they had been crumbling in isolation. She can’t face her now. What would Niki think?

Quackity buries himself in Las Nevadas, hardly even coming back to visit the Greater DSMP Area anymore. No risk of walking past Kinoko Kingdom, or the empty lot where El Rapids once stood. No risk of the reminders that his fiances moved on without him, and didn’t even bother to tell him. Neither Karl nor Sapnap told him they wanted to leave.

Badboyhalo stares at the lava, the words of the Egg in his mind not as loud as normal. Or perhaps it is simply muted, his ears ringing with his own. “IT’S JUST. A STUPID. EGG, SKEPPY.” Everything he sacrificed. Everyone he put in danger. Every terrible, terrible thing he did to try and save this man. And he’s the one who hurt him the most.

DSMP x Hazbin Hotel/Helluva Boss AU Part 1
Hey there 👋! It's been a while because I have been binging DSMP and Hazbin Hotel content when I suddenly got the idea for this au.
Basically, it's a bunch of dsmp and mcyt characters living in the Hazbin/Helluva series. Keep in mind that I am basing them off the characters, not the actual people, but they will inherit some of their creator's irl traits.
First off, we don't have much information on how the world in this series works yet due to the small amount of episodes we've got so far.
BUT there are some facts introduced and will be applied to this AU:
Hell is divided into 7 Rings, each representing a different Sin and is ruled by a Prince. Lucifer rules the Pride Ring and Hell overall.
Sinner Demons, or demons that were once humans, are confined to the Pride Ring. Reason is currently unknown but it is theorized that Lucifer is petty and wanted to keep all of the former humans to himself, due to them being "God's beloved creations."
Sinner Demons and Low-Ranking Demons like imps are forbidden from accessing the human world, and those that are allowed to go there must wear disguises and ensure the existence of Hell and demons is kept a secret.
Once every year, Heaven sends Executioners down to Hell and perform a routine massacre. This is to keep Hell's overpopulation problem in check.
Hellborn Demons have distinct traits depending on what type of demon they are. This is most present with Imps, as some have tails and wings while others don't.
Hellborn Demons, especially Imps and Hellhounds, are the lowest rankings in the hierarchy of Hell followed by Sinners, Overlords, Ars Goetia Demons, The Seven Princes, and finally at the very top being Lucifer Magne and his wife and daughter.
I'm not going to make this a large post, so I'll be dividing the AU concept into several parts. With this in mind, I'll provide a list of which character is what kind of demon in this AU.
