nikki was having dinner with her boyfriend in her home, she had decided to cook for once. she had gotten all the recipes from her mom and brie had helped her too. she had wanted everything to be perfect for the man that she loved. of course he wasn't there yet and this gave her a lot more time to prepare everything and make sure there was no mistakes. nikki wasn't a born cook and most of the time she either went out or had take out. her busy schedule didn't give her a lot of time to do things. it was either wrestling or being the house real estate that she had been. but wrestling had taken a back seat lately because she was concentrating on other things. after a few more minutes, she heard the door bell and she figured he was here. turning off the stove, she quickly ran to the door to answer it and let her man in.

longest reigning divas champion. and she even surpassed the great aj lee, something that nobody thought she could have ever done. except one person. one person who had believed in her talent, believed in her since day one. and that person was cody rhodes. nikki believed in him too, and she believed that he would be a big superstar one day being champion and beating anyone that came his way. he had texted her and asked to meet at a restaurant nearby. they had always been very close friends but in the back of nikki's mind, she had always wanted there to be more. she looked at cody as more than just a very good friend of hers. walking into the restaurant, red dress, hair curly sitting perfectly down her shoulders. he hadn't gotten there yet but she would sit and wait. cody rhodes had been worth the wait.

after a few weeks of arguments, nikki walking out on roman from whatever was the case of their fighting at that time, things were finally back to normal. roman was still sleeping but she found herself laying on his chest, him holding her in his arms like it always had been before all the unnecessary drama they had been having. after john, nikki didn't think she would be ever able to fall in love again the way she had. that she wouldn't find another man that would look at her with adoration, the way roman had and she loved him with all of her heart. she would never tell him that but fighting with him had brought tears to her eyes and broken her heart. she looked up at him, brushing one of his long black strands away from his face and kissing him on the cheek. ❝ i love you so much, babe. ❞ she whispered, smiling to herself before laying back on his chest, snuggling into him.

after a few hard months of being together, nikki and bo were finally in a good place with each other. at first he couldn't understand why she had turned on brie the way she had. and after losing his own brother, nikki had felt guilty for ever treating her twin sister that way. she couldn't have imagined losing brianna in that way and since they had made up, she would spend every day being nice to her and being the best sister that she could possibly be. bo definitely helped her see the light and she would be forever grateful to him for that. ❝ you mean a lot to me. you know that, right? ❞ nikki sat on the couch next to him, leaning her head on his shoulder, looking up at him with a slight smile across her face. bo had become such an important person in nikki's life and she wanted him to know that.

nikki stood in the ring, hands covering her face, tears in her eyes and staring at the man she loved with all of her heart. she couldn't believe that he had asked her the question she had been dying to hear. this was coming from the same man - who had said he would never get married and here he was, proposing to nikki bella. a proposal that would be remembered forever considering it was on the grandest stage of them all, in front of millions of people including nicole's family. she was so incredibly happy that she couldn't believe it still, that this was actually happening to her. she felt like she had been waiting forever for this. as soon as john grabbed her hand to place the diamond on her finger, she took a few seconds just to let all of this sink in, looking at how beautiful that ring looked on her finger. she pulled john up and immediately went to hug him and then kiss him as passionately she possibly could. this is how people felt like when they were marrying the true love of their lives.

i can give you kids. i can give you a husband. those words were repeating in nicole's head over and over again. and those had been the same words that had made her reconsider everything. she had ended things with john to be with dolph. she wasn't sure if it had been the right thing to do but she knew in heart that it had been. dolph had been her first real boyfriend for many years and their break up was one that nikki thought about every day. it was easy to forgive him because she loved him with all of her heart and he was her soulmate. ❝ my mom is really happy to see you again and she's glad we're back together. ❞ nikki had invited him over to her mom's house for dinner. her entire family had missed him and her mom had always loved him, always thought that nicole and dolph were meant to get married someday.

nikki had been there last night to watch her boyfriend win his football game. it was funny because before she met braeden, nikki had always been an philadelphia eagles fan first and foremost. but now that had all changed. she was a chiefs girl and she was proud of it too. just don't tell her twin sister or she would have something to say about it. ❝ you did so good last night, i'm so proud of you. ❞ sitting in the diner, nikki grabbed the menu and looked over at it before taking a sip of her wine. she really had been proud of her man because he had overcome his injury and he was probably the biggest face in the football world that everyone loved and adored. including herself. sometimes she just enjoyed looking at him and thinking just how lucky she had been to be with someone like him.
