it had been months since nikki and roman had been together. months that she had enjoyed very much. nobody could tell her what to do anymore. not her twin sister and certainly not her own family. after what she had been through with john, she deserved to be happy. and that happiness contained only one single man, one man that had made her the happiest she had ever been; roman reigns. she had rightfully so moved into his place. especially since he had lost his title and decided to give himself a break which he no doubt deservedly deserved. she wanted to make him feel good. she wanted to help him the best way she could and the only way she knew she could. giving him a rub on his bicep, it quickly turned with her own two hands rubbing the back of her man, getting him to crawl into bed with her. ❝ maybe i am. maybe i'm not. or maybe i just want my mans full attention for one night. would that be so bad? ❞ she lightly chuckled, pressing soft kissing on roman's back, knowing full well what she was doing. once he turned around to face her, she started kissing him on his neck, pulling him on top of her with a smirk. ❝ you're saying that as if it's a bad thing, babe. i have no problem with you not letting me out tonight, tomorrow or ever. i just want to stay here and kiss you all night if you let me. ❞ once she felt romans weight on her, she continued doing what she had been doing and that was kissing him on his neck, and made her way to his ear biting it down softly.

too much free time has made an impatient man out of him. has put roman at the precipice of over - thinking when nights get too quiet.. risks a flared temper if it's not nipped quick enough. and , were it not for her , ever present with soft hands and warm , sun - kissed skin , he'd have toppled more times than he has , already. nikki's there of her own volition , manicured nails against roman's scalp and a slow rub 'long an otherwise soothed bicep while thinking is given backseat to comfort. " the same place they ended every night , her long , smooth legs entwined with his. sweet smell of her perfume getting slick against his body. " that what you're doin ? she isn't expecting him to come back tonight. she wasn't sure when he would be coming back. nikki decided to give him all the time in the world. she had given him his space because that is what he needed. good things come to those who wait, right? hearing her name being called, she stopped in her tracks, put down whatever it was she had in her hand at that moment, and turned around. to see him. pulling hair back, nikki couldn't help the smile that was plastered on her face. ❝ what are you doing here? i didn't know you would be back tonight. ❞

roman likes her best like this. stripped of precedence and the air of expectations. hair down , waves loose and brought over one shoulder. but , most of all ; roman likes how she looks right after he calls her name. once he'd managed a quiet entry into their shared home on a night he's not expected back. of course he would catch her the minute she decided to get up and go for a walk. nikki wanted to clear her head about everything that had been going on in her life lately. from feeling like she was always second at best especially when it came to roman's career. she understood he had missed being in the ring, he had missed being the champion and even the tribal chief, but why couldn't he make her a priority for once? she had made him just that. ❝ it's just a walk, roman. i need to clear my head. is that allowed or we going to fight about that too? ❞

" oh so now we sneakin' out the house when i'm sleepin , huh ? " when there's still bass in his voice and exhaustion in his eyes. whether nikki had plans to wander far , take a walk , or was checking the weather , her , there by the door while he's been down and unaware ? roman didn't like it. he didn't understand the effect he had on her. he could of been gone weeks or months at a time, and that same feeling would have been always there. she missed him a lot when he was gone. her heart ached for him. and now that he was standing infront of her, all she wanted to do was just kiss him until she couldn't anymore. ❝ of course it means i'm happy to see you! you have no idea how much i have missed you since you've been gone. ❞ did that mean he had come home just to see her? the man always knew just the right words to tell her. her heart couldn't help but skip a beat, butterflies in her stomach. as he stepped closer to her, smiling getting bigger. she wrapped her arms around his neck, locking gazes with his before pressing her lips on his, savoring the moment. ❝ so glad you're home. ❞ whatever night nikki had planned, she would quickly ditch it. the love of her life was home and the only thing she wanted was to spend it with him. her sister would understand and forgive her for it.

" that best mean you're happy to see me , " with a smile pulled so tight and a twinkle in her eyes , roman doesn't need to ask. with peak confidence and a slow , purposeful swagger , he doesn't need nikki to sing his praises or stroke an ever - swollen ego. but that doesn't mean he doesn't want her to. more often than not, nikki had seemed to get her way when it came to roman. she would shoot an innocent look, finger in her mouth, eyelashes batting and he had become hers. at least for the evening. it had been a long time since nikki had felt his warmth, the way his skin touched hers, the way his lips brushed up against hers in such a soft and gentle manner. she wanted him to feel wanted. and she wanted him to want her just as much. ❝ are you kidding me? the only way you're getting me out of here is if you push me off. i'm not letting you out of my sight tonight. ❞ smirk on her face, kissing his lips ever so softly, not wanting to stop not even for a second. roman had taken some time off to heal properly and at the same time spend some time with nikki. which she appreciated wholeheartedely. but she also wanted him to do what he loved, what he enjoyed. ❝ i've just been enjoying your company, babe. and being with you everyday is something i've always dreamed of. but whenever you're ready to go back, whenever that is, i'll be happy for you. ❞ nikki supported roman and his wrestling career. she understood what it meant to have to give up everything. she went through it and since she had, things had never been the same for her again. but she wanted the best for him and she knew that when he was ready to go back, he would take back what was rightfully his. ❝ i'm not going to cry. i think you're going to be the one crying. ❞ she couldn't help but laugh, tracing her nails down his spine, while she continued on giving him neck kisses.

she says ' for one night ' as though she didn't crook a manicured finger and lure him in on a regular basis. enough so that , when the tugs come , roman's knees move across the covers with a mechanical sort of practice. muscle memory. as easy as breathing. how he slots in between the warmth of sun kissed thighs and balances , first , on planted palms before another pull , more insistent , brings him the rest of the way to her. through a barrage of kisses that're sure to leave pretty , red little reminders he'd find on the sheets in the morning , " mn.. all night ? you sure you ain't gonna want to take a break halfway in ? get you a bottle of water ? little bite to eat ? " no longer idle threats , the implication is forward. it presses against warmth that's always seemed ever - welcoming.

she was happy. she was happy for roman. all these months of being laid off, spending time with each other had paid off. and now she finally saw that gorgeous smile across his face again. he was back to where he belonged and she understood that feeling very well. sure, they had bumpy times but it didn't matter because she loved him more than anything - he had become her rock. and nikki truly believed that he was her soulmate in life and that there wasn't anything she wouldn't do for him. ❝ somebody's in a good mood tonight. i say lets go out. it's been awhile and i've missed that smile on your face. ❞ she turned around to face him, wrapping her arms around his neck, smiling stuck on her face, pressing her lips against his for a soft kiss.

it'd been partially her doing. this influence. where open eyes can finally see a new path forward and the delicate tethers of family are allowed to skew. @b3llalution 's voice had been there from the start. soothed. argued. but always , in spite of him or despite him , supported. and now , his chin on her shoulder , arms loose around her middle , roman can breathe steadier. grin closer to something genuine and less malicious. " we goin out tonight ? or we stayin' here in this hotel room till they call the cops t' try an' pry us out ? "

after a few weeks of arguments, nikki walking out on roman from whatever was the case of their fighting at that time, things were finally back to normal. roman was still sleeping but she found herself laying on his chest, him holding her in his arms like it always had been before all the unnecessary drama they had been having. after john, nikki didn't think she would be ever able to fall in love again the way she had. that she wouldn't find another man that would look at her with adoration, the way roman had and she loved him with all of her heart. she would never tell him that but fighting with him had brought tears to her eyes and broken her heart. she looked up at him, brushing one of his long black strands away from his face and kissing him on the cheek. ❝ i love you so much, babe. ❞ she whispered, smiling to herself before laying back on his chest, snuggling into him.
