He loves hearing the way you tell stories because nobody does them justice like you do, and there's the romanticism of talking in what feels like your own bubble because people often struggle to laugh with the two of you. When something trivial happens to him, you're the first he seeks out or calls impromptu because he knows you'll find it the most entertaining. Expect to look up mid-way conversation and be greeted with a lot of confused stares because you're teary eyed from laughter and nobody, apart from Chenle, are sure that it was even that funny to begin with.

That bond where you spend the whole day pretty much plastered to each other and people keep asking you how you met and you can have the satisfaction of telling them you're already friends. If the event you were attending told you to get into pairs, he's that feeling of comfort because he's already smiling at you because of course you'll be a pair. When the day is done, you now have the renewed closeness of experiencing it together and it's a conversation you always fall back on, and you remember it fondly because you can only imagine how awkward you'd have felt if he wasn't there.

❁ [Sungchan] When he's visibly comforted by your presence; It's a nice feeling to see Sungchan physically drop his shoulders and breathe out when you enter a room. You weren't quite sure where this bond originated from, but he saw something in you that was very comforting and now you were the person he always clung to at gatherings.
