   The sun peeked its rays through the canopy of trees that covered the sky of the lush forest you lived in. Green leaves blowing in the light morning wind while the local songbirds started to wake up and serenade the rest of the fauna. Their repetitive song now an alarm clock rousing you from sleep in the morning’s early hours. The sun wrapped the forest in a blanket of warmth, like the embrace of a new mother. The perfect day for sitting outside and reading a book. 

  The small cottage you call home is built somewhere deep in the woods. Old, but stable. The wood creaks and the vines that hug the old planks are there to stay. It’s quite a trip from the nearest town or village. You didn’t mind that though. In fact, you loved being so secluded, nothing but you, your cat, and the forest.

“Alright, alright, alright! You ready for the beach, babe?” Seokjin asked as he shut off the car. The two of you had been planning this little vacation for months, and after the hell that was finals, the two of you definitely deserved it. 

“I’ve been ready since you proposed the idea,” you answered as you unbuckled, “I’ll grab the umbrella and find a spot. You grab the food.” You told him as you opened the door and slipped out from his truck. Immediately, you were hit with the heavy scent of the ocean and the warm air on your face. Yeah, you both really needed this day to relax. 

After grabbing the umbrella from the bed, you left your boyfriend to start unloading. Making your way over to the sand, you started looking around for a spot. It was surprisingly easier than you thought, because the beach that day was crowded, everyone looking for a bit of sun to start the summer, but you found one that was both a good distance away from the car and other people. 

Taking the umbrella in your hand, you skewered it into the ground, staking your claim. As you started opening up the umbrella, your boyfriend had approached you, carrying everything from the truck in his arms. “You didn’t have to grab everything!” You laughed at him as he dropped everything that was in his arms. 

“Saves us multiple trips,” he huffed as he put his hands on his hips, taking in summer sun. “This is a good spot.”

“Thank you, now help me set up.”

Some all powerful being that controls the universe was laughing at you. You could definitely feel it. After how many times you’ve made a fool of yourself in front of the same exact cute stranger the past few days was an embarrassing amount. 

The first time it happened, you were getting on the bus. You paid your fare and was walking down the aisle to find a seat. Apparently you didn’t find one fast enough because the bus driver seemingly drove right back into the road, causing you to lose your footing and land right on top of said cute stranger. Thankfully the stranger laughed it off, telling you to be careful as you apologized, scurrying to the back of the bus to hide your shame.
