Not many people want something they put hours of hard work into to be recycled into garbage by a robot in less than 30 seconds. Hope this helps!

to the beautiful writers that might see this, ao3 is currently being scrapped by an AI company called RIVD. this isn't your usual AI text scrapping, they are specifically targeting ao3 to feed their own AI / "tech-orientes" fanfiction site
their "takedown form" demands that you give them your full legal name and address. they do not say what they're doing with your personal details. there's no proof that this form works
until ao3 comes out with a proper statement or manages to lock their scrapped, just lock your fics for registered users

Already more than a month late getting back, two NASA astronauts will remain at the International Space Station until engineers finish working on problems plaguing theirΒ Boeing capsule, officials said Thursday. Test pilotsΒ Butch Wilmore and Suni WilliamsΒ were supposed to visit the orbiting lab for about a week and return in mid-June, butΒ thruster failures and helium leaksΒ on Boeingβs new Starliner capsule prompted NASA and Boeing to keep them up longer.
They should just rename the mission to Astronaut Orbital Endurance Study and call it a win for science. They have until 2031 (ish) to wrap things up, after which it becomes the Astronaut Screaming While Burning Alive Study.
