Hc that Lovely was really close with Xavier when they first enrolled at DAMN. Xavier was super outgoing and friendly, and made an effort to show Lovely around and invite them to his games. He helped Lovely gain more confidence in their powers (alongside Vincent ofc), and they grew to be super close friends. (They’d have nights in his dorm playing Mario kart and eating gummies after Seven-Eleven runs.)

So when Lovely finally decided to check out the night-classes at DAMN post-Inversion, and looked for Xavier, only to ask around and find out he had died during Inversion. Their heart completely dropped before they quietly thanked the person for their time and zipped home.

Newblood-vampire Angel vs Darlin after Quinn turned them: Angel is so blinded by anger, hunger, and turmoil because of what Quinn put them through post and pre-turning. And of course they don’t actually believe themselves when they ‘point the finger’ at Darlin, but it’s just so easy to blame them rather than go looking for more painful answers.

Darlin standing still and letting themselves stagger back as Angel throws punch after punch at them through violent sobs. But the newblood tired easily, each punch becoming slightly weaker and unsure. Darlin holding Angel still by their racking shoulders despite the damage done to their body. Angel is just crying harder now, gasping for air through guilted apologizes. Darlin hushes them, “it’s over. You’re home, you’re safe. I’m here, just- stay still and breathe.”

Darlin understands fully well what it’s like to feel like they were ‘under Quinn’s control’ with how much they obsessed with taking him down. They’ve even snapped a few times- with each punch tank was just reminded of themselves. And despite the blood seeping from their nose, or the formation of bruises on their chest and face- Darlin knew it was still Angel. They were home, that’s all that mattered.

“It’s not your fault” is what had Angel breaking the most. It’s not often that Darlin is this gentle, that rough exterior is enough to set the rest of the pack in the opposite direction. But for some reason, the shifter found safety with their alphas mate.

“I still shouldn’t have hurt you.”

“I’ve had worse,”

Vampire!Angel and Darlin sparring in general just- PLEASEEEE. Angel who’s all sweet and innocent on the outside but then so fucking bloodthirsty in a fight.

Sweetheart and Angel are the type of character to punch someone unconscious and go “fuck that felt good” and have their bfs all 😳😳 SAME SHIT WITH FL I JUST KNOOOOW THEY HAVE SOME PENT UP ANGER

Mmmmm rabid vampire angel

Honey is grumbly/growly and sorta snippy in a loving way…..therefore they are a mf shifter because I said so hush. They are literally David Shaw.

Sweetheart bursting the doors open to a pack meeting (I’m guessing the meetings are hosted at a lil office building where they rent out a specific room)-they’re battered up and bloody, holding the wall from behind as they fight unconsciousness. Milo, of course- is out of his seat instantly, before Sweetheart abruptly holds up a hand and spits blood before Milo’s shoes.

The rest of the pack follows, surrounding the two. “Sweetheart, how did-?” “I tried to stop him- Quinn, he- David I- you’re mate, he has them.”

They can barely get the words out between seemingly endless blood-soaked coughing fits. David no longer felt the presence of his panicked pack members, the ones now bustling around him to get Sweetheart healed.

He’s exactly where he was when his father died, standing alone- silent and inconsolable. It takes him a while to get out of his head, and David reminds himself who he is: an alpha, the alpha of this pack, the leader of these people, and leaders help. He wouldn’t help anyone by letting his emotions take over, David decided.

He sighed heavily, running trembling hands down his face and turned to his pack. Darlin was closer than he remembered them being, in fact- they were already half way out the front door by the time David caught their shoulder. “No,” he boomed, “you’re staying here before you do something stupid, we’re staying here.”

“But David, I-“

“Tank- inside- now.”

Darlin growled a weighted sigh and reluctantly stepped past the threshold, feeling the obvious shift in air. God- it was so tense in here. They felt an itch to go, find him, rip his head off, and return Angel home. But before they were a “reckless idiot”, they were a member of this pack. Or whatever catchphrase David adopted all those years ago.

“David, buddy- why?” Asher interjected, reminding the few of his position as he rejoined David by the doorway. And took no time in realizing how he hadn’t moved an inch.

David took a deep breath again, this one far shakier and measured than the last few he attempted to take. Just breathe.

“We do no good in numbers right now, and believe me I want to be out there as much as you do.” David side-eyed a very angry Darlin. “But I cannot risk him finding and taking more of us. The packs safety is my number-one priority as your alpha, and the last thing under that umbrella would be running off and getting into a much bigger fight than we’re prepared for.”

Darlin huffed and stormed past Asher and David to join Marie as she attempted to heal what was left of Milo’s mate. “Of course you’d fucking say that. They’re your mate for gods sake do something about it.” Darlin grumbled as if David’s words made no sense.

David had no energy left to argue with them, nor to accept Asher’s many attempts at comforting him. He may have sealed his own mates death as a sacrifice to save his pack. Fuck- he felt sick.

OKAY OKAY I know this was out of nowhere and I’m not even fully sure what this is but I adore the concept of Quinn taking angel and David having to battle with deciding whether being reckless and trying to save angel but risking his- and the Keaton pack now as a result- OR JUST PRETTY MUCH LEAVE THEM FOR DEAD. Ugh the angst mmmmmm

Guy and Honey >>>>> Geordi and Cutie

I’ve seen some talk about (secret) shifter!Honey and I’m absolutely in love with the concept. From sick days on solstices while Guy is determined to take care of them, to him kissing the stretch marks from shifting. Bonus points if they’re part of the Shaw pack. Honey having severe abandonment issues and refusing to ever open up about being a shifter to anyone- (after a certain betrayal from Quinn) and having conflicting feelings about that decision after falling head over heels for the sweet pizza guy.

HONEY PROTECTING GUY FROM QUINN BY SHIFTING IN FRONT OF HIM FOR THE FIRST TIME AND BEATING THE SHIT OUT OF HIM. Guy is absolutely terrified by this but can’t seem to move, Honey feels absolutely AWFUL after this- they end up getting a little beat up themselves and aren’t in any condition to find a healer. Guy reluctantly pokes them and shakily asks them what they need, and when he’s met with a groggy “healer, I’ll tell you the way”, they make their way to Marie’s.

Guy is BEYOND confused at all of this ‘healer’ and ‘magic talk’, as well as the fact that his PARTNER JUST TURNED INTO A FUCKING WOLF AND TORE SOME SUPPOSED VAMPIRES’ THROAT OUT. Something inside him is pulling him towards Honey, though- so he decides to stick with them.

Honey is unconscious as Marie does her best to explain their current situation, as well as piece her fellow pack member back together. Guy is stuck between looking down in horror at the damage, and attempting to force his brain to make any sense of this ‘magical world’ Marie kept talking about.

By the time she was done and out, demanding that Guy keep them here and out of trouble (Marie absolutely terrifies him), Guy sighed heavily and leaned up against the couch beside them.

Yea these two had a lot to talk about by the time Honey finally woke up.

Guy and Angel are so alike holy fuck, these two have a blast at pack meetings. Not for David and Honey of course, they’re always ending up being the ones that have to rangle their mates.

Honey is strong asf and Guy likes being carried around bridal style, they absolutely treat him like royalty (like he deserves).
