@edeneffect @demilypyro Just To Add To The Shipping PSA On The Views Of Aroace Shipping Culture On Gwen

@edeneffect @demilypyro Just to add to the shipping PSA on the views of aroace shipping culture on Gwen Poole, additional perspective from a fellow aroace here:

You don’t have to be sexually/romantically attracted to someone in order to date them. There’s many different kinds of attraction, like aesthetic, intellectual, platonic, etc.

An aroace person could still be attracted to someone in non-romantic ways. As a result, they may choose to date that person to make them happy, despite not being into it themselves.

Another example is that an aroace person could actually enjoy dating, but still not feel the attraction. Just because they don't feel drawn to it doesn't mean they can't like the idea of dating or think it’s fun as an activity. Some may also get something non-romantic out of it that serves them just as well.

There’s also a lot of people on the aro/ace-spectrum who CAN feel romantic/sexual attraction, but it’s so rare or the conditions are so specific that they still fall under the aroace umbrella because they’re outside what’s considered the standard for attraction.

And of course Queerplatonic Relationships (QPRs). Shipping is still well-allowed for these, respectfully approached.

Hi! I'm not sure why you put this in my inbox, but as someone of the ace-spec myself I'm very aware of all of this!

There's something about the internet and mental disorders. I'm saying this as Audhd and having ED. What is up with people infantilizing and romanticizing lol. Did Lord Byron depression personified possessed everyone?

I've honestly got no idea!! As someone who's autistic I've experienced infantilization and it's SO annoying.

Honestly people will romanticize anything nowadays and I actually hate it. Romanticizing is so harmful to many groups, especially if it's something illegal (CAUGH CAUGH 'BOOKTOK').

Pisses me off that these problems are so big in society when they're obviously harmful to everyone that's actually got/has had whatever it is.

Once again it's probably just majority people who think everything should still be about them even when they aren't at all related to the thing because of how privileged they are.

I can't explain it, but I genuinely kicked my feet and squealed when I saw this artwork. Absolutely beautiful.

Just because a character is blushing does not mean they're in love btw!! Blush is a naturally occurring thing that usually shows embarrassment or shyness. Seeing as Skully really loves Jack (in an admirer way) and he actually gets to meet said king of Halloween; yeah, he'd be pretty shy.

Edit: I'm not trying to judge or stop self-shipping, trust me when I say I don't have a problem with it!! I just wanted to inform people before it got a little weird.
