The queens and workers were percieved as female because the queen carries children, and the workers do housework. Y'know, gender roles. Then the drones are percieved as male because "big strong man do dangerous things" and they'll also be the ones to impregnate the queen.

The drones are actually treated poorly compared to workers btw

And for anyone about to say "female prego, male seed"

There is a species of mushroom with hundreds of distinct sexes, all capable of reproducing with any sex but their own.

It was the first time I did outdoor quads. The sun was setting, I was out of shape so I needed frequent breaks, so I'd just lay like a cat on the cold dirt, front paws crossed like I always do, and listen to nature as I recuperated. It was so energizing, I was up in minutes.

I wish it wasn't so hot outside, otherwise I'd be out there doing quads

What's the most species euphoric thing y'all have ever done? I'll go first, quads with another therian in the rain. Literally the best thing ever I'm not kidding. You won't get it until you experience it.
