Ok, I Notice Peoples Aesthetics, And Even If Its Something I Dont Understand Or Would Never Engage In
Ok, I notice people’s aesthetics, and even if it’s something I don’t understand or would never engage in myself, if it’s bold enough for me to notice, I’m still genuinely happy for them. Your style is for you, not for me, it doesn’t matter if I “like” it, you’re making choices and moves to make your life suitable for you. You’re living your best life and I respect the hell out of that. Even if I fully don’t understand that aesthetic, even if I can’t stop noticing just how much eye shadow you’ve used, any potential “judgement” I would have is wildly drowned out by the joy I get seeing people have the confidence to present themselves the way that makes them happiest, or playing with style to find themselves or just to have fun.

An animation my sis and I made for fun
Music is Perception Check by Tom Cardy.
NO SERIOUSLY everyone in my class knows I’m non-binary but SO OFTEN I’m still referred to as “she.” They just don’t think about it. They look at me and just see the boobs.
My mom, too! She’s supportive and loves me and is trying very hard to use my new name and pronouns, but when I came out she told me it’ll be hard because she’s “always seen [me] as very feminine.” I LITERALLY CUT MY OWN HAIR INTO A KEANU REEVES CUT? I WEAR HAWAIIAN SHIRTS OR SUSPENDERS OR BAGGY-ASS CARGO PANTS AND FUNNY SHIRTS. IM NOT A GIRL, IM NOT A WOMAN. I JUST HAVE BREASTS. THEY’RE NOT EVEN BIG. THEYRE SO SMALL. I WEAR MORE CHILDREN’S CLOTHES THAN WOMEN’S CLOTHES AND YET.
Ha. Sorry. Bit of a rant there. But really!
And when someone is trying, it doesn’t matter how hard it is or how much they understand it or if they’re used to it. My teacher mentions often (it becomes relevant) how society has recently popularized the tearing apart of gender roles, how we’ve created a space outside of the binary gender boxes, and how he and others in his generation don’t fully understand it or its implications, but that man has never gotten my pronouns wrong once. ONCE. And he called me “buddy” and I like it.
Step back and take another look at people. See beyond their bodies. I am more like mothman than I am like a woman. Get to know me, you’ll see.
are they really “fem presenting” or do they just have boobs. are they really “masc presenting” or do they just have facial hair

You ever just be drawing and go “fuck it”
because here's the thing here's the thing the question was not "would you be more surprised to run into a fairy or a walrus" the question was "would you be more surprised to find a fairy or a walrus AT YOUR DOOR" and while no, i do not believe in fairies and would be surprised to know they EXIST i would NOT be surprised to find one at my door. HOWEVER, if a WALRUS shows up at my door i have to contend with the fact that a walrus somehow made it to my apartment specifically and knocked on my door for god knows what reason. i would be more surprised to know that a fairy EXISTS, of course, but NOT that they're at my door, do you get me?
how is it mario day and no one posted the essay
