Sex isn't necessary for a happy and healthy life - whether you're in a relationship or not. You don't have to have sex if you don't want to. You can just... Not have sex.

Please never feel pressured to have sex like I have, in order to feel "normal". You are normal. Asexuality is normal. People who don't want sex who aren't asexual are normal (and, asexual people who do have and want sex, are also normal).

If you try sex and think "eh that was okay but I could do much more with my time", that's absolutely fine. You don't have to have it ever again if you don't want to. If you prefer thinking about sex than actually having sex, that's also fine (I'm guilty of this). If you want absolutely nothing to do with sex whatsoever, guess what? That's fine!

You don't have to be sexually active to be a valid person, even if you were previously. You can just not have sex. It's okay. I promise 💜

So I had severe period pain yesterday during my last period, which was a Science class. We're currently studying physics (I know, ew) and honestly it’s a bit tough but nothing I can't manage. But yesterday my period pain was so bad I could hardly hear myself think, so I could hardly do any of the work that our teacher had set for us (she was away during the lesson). And when I got home that day I was stuck in my room for over an hour because my pain was so bad. Anyway, fast forward to today late afternoon. I was kept at home because my period pain didn’t give me any sort of mercy. My mum called me into the lounge room and my Science teacher had sent an email. And she was super pissed that I hadn’t finished the work. And honestly I just felt like breaking down into tears at that point. And after I went back into my room, I did. Quite a bit actually... My mum understood when I told her my side of the story and sent a reply back to my teacher. It's just really frustrating because my Science teacher has a habit of jumping to conclusions and assuming that someone's struggles are just arrogance or laziness. And I'm autistic too, which only makes it worse. I have a major habit of overthinking things, so working through problems I overthink with someone who understands is enough to really help me understand. But our substitute didn’t know anything about our topic so I couldn’t get any help. Yay for me. I'm not normally really one to vent to the internet like this, but I figured that it would help with the situation. So now I'm a bit scared to come back to school tomorrow in fear of my Science teacher either not reading the email, or just choosing to ignore my side of the story entirely. So yeah, that happened. You can interact with the post or you can ignore it. I don’t really care, I just had to get this off my chest.
