a little bit from an AU I've been cooking up
so I was looking through gem's name mc in search of her researcher skin
and I found this

I'M SCREAMING-
hello there! let me introduce you to the AU I'm planning on posting here! the name is "Something Is In The Water" or "siitw" for short it's a Gem-centric Hermitcraft (but really I think of it more as a MCYT) AU with the intended genre being horror as for the format, I'm planning on posting it in what I call EvoAU (by @solargeist) style, meaning that for the most part I hope to answer asks and post tidbits, but I am also planning on making sort of comic chapters (not a proper comic tho)
the premise of the story is as follows: One day Gem, who is rumoured to be the infamous pirate terrorizing many seas, arrives to a town where people call themselves hermits under the guise of just moving there, but the goal of her visit is to study the local water and its effects on the locals. For you see, there have been reports of memory issues and in some cases strange mutations, all threads leading to one source: the ocean.
and here's the piece I made to with this post! it was supposed to be just the cover for the playlist I made for this AU, but oh well
I do have a warning tho! this AU includes hermitshipping (gempearl), so engage with it at your own discretion

since I found it only now I'll have some catching up to do maybe I'll post the previous 3 prompts once I'm done with the whole list, who knows
anyway, now about the actual piece. not gonna lie, I thought it would take me much longer, but it only took about 6 hours at most (with me getting distracted occasionally), which makes me rather positive that I'll be able to see this prompt list at least halfway through. either way, I really like how this one turned out, especially my attempt at introducing more shades with the bluer parts. AND I'd even say that the background turned out decent, which feels rather new since I don't really do those usually. here's hoping the rest of Hermittober goes as well

ooh boy did I cut it a bit close with this one. I always post hermittober pieces every day at the same time and this one took me so long to figure out that I'm currently scheduling this post with only less than an hour to spare
anyway, I like how this one turned out, especially since I couldn't find any references, so I had to use my imagination a bit. that said tho, I did use a reference for the skull and I'm glad I did. should probably do that more

Life Series/Traffic SMP people- we are SO back!
I’m calling it right now, I’m betting Gem will win and WHEN she wins her celestial body should be Mercury!! The zodiac Gemini is ruled by Mercury so- it just makes sense.
Both of the characters have connections to Greek/Roman mythology (Joel already having Stratos in Empires Season 2), I can’t help but not theorize some other connections. just let me cook here for a moment
Gemini is the constellation of the TWINS, and Gem and Joel are a duo so maybe one of them could Pollox and the other Castor? Leaning towards Joel being Pollox because his father and yknow- Empires. I’ll look more into this but just throwing it out here
