*dies because this is too adorable*

First off, my darling Anon you are a cruel one to challenge me this early into the year to write a fluff. But, I'm not gonna let you down and I'm going to try to do this BUT I'M SORRY IF IT'S NOT SATISFACTORY, LOVE. And thank you for sending a request <3

𝑱𝒂𝒎𝒆𝒔 𝑷𝒐𝒕𝒕𝒆𝒓 (𝑓𝑙𝑢𝑓𝑓)

It was a rowdy night, and everyone was high on firewhisky and probably the blunt that Remus brought in earlier.

The Gryffindor team just won another Quidditch Cup this year. And as it was their last year on Hogwarts too, they wanted to spend as much as they could having fun and wrecking havoc undetected ofc bcs who tf had the audacity to sabotage their chance of winning their very last House Cup? Well, you being you felt like all these celebrations were slowly becoming too much for you to handle, so you decided to snuck through the Lady Portrait and tip-toeing your way down to the kitchens.

It was very weird, walking through the halls at night. There's these indescribable feelings of melancholy and also sadness that crept inside of you. These walls… they held stories of the old days, decades and even centuries behind them. And sometimes it felt really surreal that you were there, standing between those walls, you made a name for yourself, being a part of the history that was written there. It was all like a dream. But it's all coming to an end, as it was 5 months away from your graduation day.

As you were passing by one of the large windows, you had to stop for a second and stare because there he is, James Potter. He and you have always been friends with each other. Sure, you're not as popular nor outgoing like all of his group of friends, and that fact always made you wonder but he would always reassure you that it was okay and he doesn't care, he only cared about being friends with you. So here you are, confused as to why this boy isn't mingling with the crowds upstairs, but instead sitting here in the dark all by himself.

"Jamie?" You whispered, silently hoping that it was loud enough for him to hear, but not too loud because you didn't want to surprise him. He perked up at the sound of your voice and he turned his head to you, "Hey darling. Fancy seeing you out here, hm?".

You just fondly shook your head and decided to sit next to him. And as natural as it was, he moved his arm to put it around your shoulder and you just snuggled closer to him in response. "Whatcha doin here, Jamie?" you whispered to the fabric of his clothes. He just quietly hummed to the crown of your head and held you closer.

It's time like this, you were left wondering about what you had with him. Sure both of you could be seen together from time to time, not as much as he was with the boys no. But you were friends as long as he was with them, too. And lately he's been very affectionate with you. Not that he wasn't before, it's just that… usually he only does that when there's only two of you. But now it's gotten more open and your friends have been asking you questions that you were really not sure how to answer either.

You've no idea how much time the both of you had spent just sitting there, watching the stars. It was all so calming. The gentle breeze that would occasionally caress both of your hairs, the gentle hum of hopelessly devoted to you  that emitted from his chest vibrates into yours, and the little light that slowly flickered on the corridor— wait? Oh sHI—

"STUDENTS! STUDENTS OUT OF BED!!"

James and you immediately stumbled out of reverie and scrambled out of your seats to run away from Filch and his little kitty cat. Not caring about the consequences, both of your laughters rang throughout the whole corridor as you ran. But once you reached the moving staircase, instead of jumping to the one that would lead you to your common room, James dragged you to the one that would lead to the west wing of Hogwarts. But you just went with him, thinking that he would just take you to Astronomy tower.

But your assumption has proven you wrong once James stopped in front of an empty wall across the painting of Barnabas the Barmy. You just looked at him in confusion and asked, "Jamie, why'd you take me here?" James turned his body to you and grabbed both your hand in his,

"D'you trust me?" You raised one of your eyebrow up and tsked, " Does the centaur live in the Forbidden Forest? Does Sirius love Remmy? Does it hurt when I crawl my way up from hell? Jamie love, you're asking me a silly  question. Of course I do" and in response, he conjured a little black satin eye cover and made a gesturing move towards your eyes. You just snorted nervously and playfully push him back, " 'm not into that kinky stuff like Sirius does, J" which caused him to just grin and peck your cheek which left you frozen on the spot.

"C'mon bunny, where's the Gryffindor courage hmm?"

And in that moment of euphoria his kiss left you, you decided to throw all cautions to the window and,

" Y'want some Gryffindor courage hm? I'll show you some courage"

And as those words left your lips, you grabbed the collars of his white button up shirt and dragged him to your height only to smash your lips together.

Both of you knew as James reciprocated your kiss, that this is it. This was the thing that both of you have been waiting for for years. Each time spent together, each kisses left on your temple, his jaw, your cheeks, his forehead, has led to this singular moment that would be captured in time inside the walls of this castle.

But the moment was ruined as a flash and a click of a camera was heard. You stumbled back as James tried to steady you with his hands on your hips. Both of you heard Sirius before he even made an appearance as his chuckles echoed on the empty corridor.

"Hey Blossom, thanks for the honorary mention of my love for moony, but CAN'T YOU JUST WAIT FOR A SECOND FOR THE KISS?? WE'VE BEEN SLAVING OURSELVES HELPING PRONGS TO GET THE ROOM READY AND Y'JUST—"

His tirade then just got cut off short to the courtesy of Remus who just dragged him into a full blown snog against the wall. Your eyes widen as Sirius' words register in your brain.

"Jamie? What room is he ta—" all the words left your mouth as you see James standing there in front of a beautifully decorated room that clearly wasn't there before. James just chuckled lightly seeing your face and asked, "well, would ya like a dinner with me, then bunny?" with his puppy eyes that you could never resist.

"Well, if you insist then, My dear Jamie" you grinned up at him. He then linked your arm with him and led you to the center of the room where there stood an elegant dining table with candles surrounding the area. And as you took a glance at your James, you knew at that moment that you're going in for one hell of a ride, with this young man. But there's nothing in this world that would change your mind about choosing him. Ever.

i am in love with this WHAT

boyfriend swap

Boyfriend Swap

imagine: you and lily debate who has the more annoying boyfriend - sirius or james. after a series of events, you end up agreeing to switch partners for the day.

mentions: sirius black x reader, platonic james potter x reader, james potter x lily evans, fem reader, smoking, injury, and being scared of heights, this imagine is purely shits and giggles we know lily and y/n would never talk shit about their boyfrjends ajsgsjsh

"You will never guess what I overheard our girls saying about us in the common room just now." James grinned, entering his dorm room. Sirius looked up and smirked at his best friend.

"What?"

"They practically listed off every thing they find annoying about us - you should have heard them, nearly broke my heart." James joked, holding a hand over his chest.

"Whadd'ya say, Prongs, that we teach them a lesson? Get them to appreciate our efforts a bit more?" Sirius suggested, arching an eyebrow as he leapt off his bed to scheme with his mate.

"What's the plan, Padfoot?" James laughed, as Sirius glanced over to Remus, studying happily on his bed.

"Moony, would you help us out?"

"Oh no..."

You were all gathered in the common room, hanging out like any other school night, winding down for the day.

"Hey, why don't we do a round of truth or dare?" suggested Remus, who was never one to suggest playing such games. Ever.

"Excellent idea, Moony." James beamed, plopping down on the sofa next to Lily, slinging an arm around her shoulder as she shared a confused glance with you. Nevertheless, the game begun. Marlene had picked a fight with one of the portraits and Peter had told everyone about his embarassingly awkward first kiss before it was your turn.

"Alright, then, y/n. Truth or dare?" Remus asked, a playful look on his face. You narrowed his eyes at him suspiciously - what was he up to?

"Dare, of course." you shrugged, keeping with the Gryffindor spirit. Sirius couldn't even hide his smile when you said this, turning to face James with a grin.

"What are you-" you begun to ask, before Remus cut you off with your dare.

"I dare you and Lily to swap boyfriends for a day, starting now." He declared, leaning back against the armchair and folding his arms. You gawped for a moment, before shutting your mouth and turning towards James and Lily.

"Well, my love. Looks like I'll see you in 24 hours." James said, lifting his arm off of his girlfriend and stalking over towards you. You watched as Sirius stood up from his seat and gave you a mocking sad face as he took a seat next to Lily, who was utterly perplexed by the situation.

"Wha...? But-" You started, but James clicked his tongue.

"A dare's a dare, y/n." He said, stretching his arm around the back of your seat. You cringed, the thought of having to date your brother-like best friend a rather offputting notion to you. Not to mention having your own boyfriend and other best friend acting like a couple until 7 tomorrow.

Lily interjected. "It isn't even my dare, why do I-"

"Hold on- what are the parameters here?" Marlene asked, intrigued. Lily threw her a glare, before Marlene laughed. "I'm just curious." she justified, turning back to Remus.

"Hmm..." he pondered for a moment. "You can't talk to your real partner for the whole 24 hours, no contact. And you have to spend the free time that you have with your temporary partner for the whole period." Remus said, chuckling as you and Lily were practically writhing in discomfort of the notion of swapping boyfriends.

"Sounds alright to me. Think you two can handle it?" James teased, knowing you and Lily had never backed down from dares and never would.

"Easy peasy." Lily said, slumping back into her seat where Sirius was chuckling, looking at you. Lily sent you a worried glance, as if to already apologise for her boyfriend's antics. You sent one back, thinking that James could be nowhere near as annoying as Sirius could be sometimes.

"Fine." you muttered, reluctantly leaning into James' arm.

The three boys shared a knowing grin.

"James smells of sweat every time he comes into the great hall from quidditch practice - which is every morning!"

"Sirius takes longer to get ready for the day than I do - his hair always takes precedence over the day ahead!"

You thought it couldn't be too bad with James - you saw how well he treated Lily, and he knew you well enough to know your boundaries. How wrong you were.

"Gerroff, Prongs." You tried to shrug him off as you attempted to eat your breakfast and read your book, a morning routine he knew well enough not to interrupt with his sweaty body clinging to yours. "James!" you exclaimed as he ignored you.

"That's babe, to you." He mumbled onto your shoulder, closing his eyes as he wrapped both arms around your waist. You rolled your eyes, submitting to the torture. You looked up at Lily, who offered an apologetic shrug. "See what I have to deal with?" she mouthed, earning a laugh from you. So far, she'd been content at breakfast. Sirius hadn't shown yet, but Lily was getting impatient.

"Where's Sirius?" she pondered out loud, tapping her nails on the table. "He's supposed to be lending me some notes he took while I was out of class the other day in a prefects meeting before the lesson in 15 minutes." She explained her worries.

"Not to worry, Lils. I'm sure he'll be here soon." You said, a look of disgust on your face as James tried to feed you the rest of your porridge, laughing at your annoyance.

Sure enough, your real boyfriend sauntered in five minutes later, looking as gorgeous as ever. You didn't know if it was just because he wasn't 'officially' yours that day, but by Godric... he was looking very handsome indeed.

"Morning, everyone." he grinned, taking a seat next to Lily and grabbing an apple from the fruit bowl.

She stared at him expectantly, and for a few moments they held confused eye contact.

"Oh!" He exclaimed, "Yeah, it's a new shampoo. Makes my hair look great, doesn't it?" he said, mischief laced in his tone. You laughed under your breath - he was never usually this obnoxious. Something was going on.

Lily huffed unamusedly. "The notes?" She asked expectantly. He bit his lip, his eyes wandering for a moment.

"Ohh..." He said, frowning disappointedly. "I forgot all about them while I was getting ready. Sorry, flower." he reached out to put a hand around her shoulder, but she'd already got up to run and fetch the notes before her class begun. He quickly trailed after her, keeping to the rules set in place.

"Oops." you heard from beside you. You cringed as sloppy porridge made its way in sludge down the front of your cardigan, the culprit being James and your spoon that he was messing about with.

"James!" you exclaimed, grabbing some napkins and attempting to salvage your uniform.

"Sorry, darling, let me help you." he snatched the napkins out of your hands but instead of helping, he merely smushed the food further into your clothing, earning a groan of disgust from you once again as you got up and head for your dorm room to change.

"Wait for me, y/n!" you heard from behind you.

"James uses the most absurd nicknames with me - sometimes it's endearing but sometimes it's just cringeworthy!"

"Sirius calls me by the wrong name all the time, just because he knows it bugs me!"

Much to yours, and Lily's dismay, Slughorn set a partnerwork task that day in lessons. So naturally, your 'boyfriends' each went to work with each of you you, respectively.

"Hello, lovie." James greeted you with a grin.

"Hi, James." you nodded, slightly uncomfortable.

"Making living death today, aren't we, cupcake?" James said, reaching over to your advanced potions book. Cupcake? Bleugh.

Meanwhile, on the other side of the room, a frustrated Lily was being riled up even more.

"No, Sirius. We need lavender, not honey." she explained.

"Sorry, Laila. I'll go and get it now." Sirius said nonchalantly, as Lily did a double take, realising that he'd mis-named her.

"I have the lavender. You happy now, Lucy?" he rolled his eyes, rolling his bottom lip under his teeth to stop from revealing an amused grin.

"It's Lily."

"Whatever you say, Lauren."

You and James hadn't gotten very far with your own potion as he pandered over you. "You want to sit down, my little fluffy poodle cake?" He asked. You spluttered with laughter at that one, finally being able to see some of the light in the situation.

"What, don't you like that nickname, my perfect little sparkly teddy pie?" He said, deadpanning, doing surprisingly well at withholding his own laughter. You burst out laughing again, shaking your head.

"Lisa, I put in 2 spoonfuls like you asked me to!" Sirius exclaimed as Lily buried her head in her hands.

"Sirius, its three spoonfuls. Three. I said it, like, a million times." She said, her hair slightly frizzy now, exasperated. "And it's Lily."

"Okay, Laringitis."

"James is overbearing sometimes, he has made me believe that there is such a thing as too much of a gentleman."

"Sirius forgets what being a gentleman is sometimes, he just leaves me to fend for myself because 'I'm capable enough on my own'."

You had very much so lost the funny element to the dare after being called 'sweetie honey angel face' in front of a bunch of 7th years who laughed at the both of you as you walked, James clinging to you.

He had also taken to doing absolutely everything for you. Seriously - he opened doors for you, carried your stuff for you despite your protests of 'I can hold my books myself, James'. He ignored them, as a result, dropping the pile he'd accumulated of both your and his belongings on multiple occasions, causing a scene of scavenging to retrieve your pens and books that had slid away down the hall.

You pinched the bridge of your nose, sighing, as he stood up again, flushed.

"I'm okay, we're okay. We can keep walking now, sherbert sunshine."

On the other side of the castle, Lily Evans was struggling to keep all of her things balanced within her grasp.

She and Sirius had been late to lunch, for his incessant stopping to look at himself in any reflective surface that they passed on the way to the great hall - so late that all Lily could do was grab a banana that she planned to inhale before her next class. Trying to hold her heavy textbooks, bookbag full of pens and notes, and her single lunch item, she sighed finally, frustrated.

"Sirius, could you maybe hold my bag for me? These textbooks are quite heavy." she pleaded.

Sirius merely shrugged, biting into the sandwich he'd taken for his lunch.

"You're capable enough to hold it all, Lindsay. I believe in you." he cheered.

Not moments later, her books came tumbling down in front of her, the banana flying across the hall.

She and Sirius shared a stunned glance. He almost looked like he would help her gather it all up again. But all of a sudden, a bored expression returned to his face.

"Keep up, Lola, we'll be late for last period." he said, strolling off.

"He only ever wants to play quidditch - he thinks quality time involves mud and shinguards!"

"Sirius' troublemaking knows no ends - his idea of a date is doing something that'll get us detention!"

The overwhelming vertigo that flooded through your legs as you sat in the position of 'keeper' reminded you of one of the many reasons you never pursued quidditch - you hated flying.

"James, I don't think I can stay up here for much longer." you frowned, nails gripping the broom so tightly that the splintered wood begun to form marks. Your arm hurt, and so did your ankle, from the number of times you'd had to dodge an approaching quaffle that still managed to hit and bruise some part of your body.

"Just one more, treasure feathers! I've got a game next week, got to practice!" he yelled as he zoomed towards you, quaffle in hand.

As he flung the ball straight towards you, your face contorted as a shriek left your lips, darting to avoid the heavy ball that was about to do some serious damage to you.

"You're supposed to guard the goals, sugar plum!"

"I'm not a keeper, darling. I barely even know how to fly! " you shouted bitterly as you trembled on the broom, trying to lower it to the ground as gently as possible.

Upon reaching the ground, you swiftly got off the broom, waddling over to the changing rooms as fast as you could. Before you could even walk a few steps, though, you fell over, your trembling legs giving out on you.

All the while, Sirius and Lily were in the astronomy tower, somewhat enjoying each other's company for the first time that day. That was until Sirius brought out his pack of cigarettes from his robe pocket.

"You arent serious." she shook her head, eyeing up the packet.

"Well, as a matter-of-fact-"

"Save it, Black." she interrupted, standing up. "What are you thinking? It's broad daylight?"

"Ah, so you don't care about me smoking, you care if I get caught."

"Precisely."

"As my girlfriend, you should care more about my wellbeing."

"Luckily we're breaking up in an hour and a half." she rolled her eyes as Sirius stood, lighting the cigarette between his lips.

"Sirius, put it out!" she hissed, pulling the blem from his mouth.

"Er, what's going on here?" they heard, turning to face where the stern voice was coming from. Not seeing anyone there, they looked down to see the new Professor Flitwick looking up at them crossly, arms folded.

"Sir, it's not what it looks like-"

"Detention, for the both of you."

"But, Merlin - regardless of all of that..."

"Yeah, no matter what he does..."

You waited impatiently in the common room, foot tapping on the ground as you sat, James' arm still firmly around your shoulders.

"Feeling better, lovebug?"

"Will feel a whole lot better when Sirius gets here." you mumbled, biting your thumb nail in anticipation.

When you saw the raven haired boy walk in, he looked rather concerned as you leapt up and limped on over to him, before attacking him in a desperate embrace.

"Hi, there, love. Miss me?" he muttered into your hair, smoothing your back with his hands.

"More than anything." you pulled back to take in your amazing boyfriend. Out of the corner of your eye, James and Lily were having a similar reunion, both of you girls regretful of ever saying anything bad about your respective lovers.

"I promise I will never take you for granted again. Although sometimes you can be kind of annoying, I adore you for it. All of it. Because I want all of you." you finished your speech, blushing as Sirius gave you a smirk, leaning in to kiss you.

Your lips locked and you felt whole again. You smiled against the kiss, before he pulled back to grin at his friend.

"Think that was a success, mate?"

"Result!" James laughed as his red haired girlfriend absentmindedly kissed his face all over. Sirius laughed, turning back to you.

"All is forgiven, gorgeous." he smiled, caressing a hand on your cheek.

"Im glad. I mean, I can sometimes be annoying, too, I suppose." you murmured, fiddling with Sirius' collar.

"Don't even get me started..." he mumbled, grinning as if you hadn't heard him.

"What?!"

"I love James to the moon and back."

"I love Sirius with all my heart."

Warmer The Better

poly!marauders x fem!reader

summary: Your boyfriends can't stand seeing you in pain.

warnings: fluff, period cramps, boys falling all over you, implied sub!reader, kissing

A/N: not me writing myself a comfort fic for my period :')

Warmer The Better

You whined, pressing your hands to your lower belly. Remus, bringing his hands onto yours’, wrapped you tight. “Better, bun?”

You nodded, relaxing as his hands started to massage your tummy. Magic was leaking from his fingertips, softening the sharp pain under your midriff. He felt your tenseness loosening as he massaged, your face relaxing slowly. He planted a cushion-like kiss on your cheek, hugging you tighter to make sure his body is warming you enough.

The door cracked open, James and Sirius pumping inside, hands filled with bits and pieces. “Emergency team is ready for your service ma’am!”

You giggled to James’ heart-warming cherished voice, slowly opening your eyes to meet theirs’. James winked at you with a cheeky smile, placing the four mugs he was struggling to carry. An intensive chocolate smell filled your lungs, both you and Remus smiling at the smell.

Sirius rushed to your near, hands gently grabbing your face. “How are you feelin’ angel,” he asked concernedly. You nuzzled, purring to his hands. “Uh – girls gave me these. They said it’ll help with the cramps.” he showed the heating pads, placing them on your belly and under your feet. He looked up to Remus. “They told me we have to keep her warm.”

“Thank you, Siri,” you mumbled, the pads’ heat slowly melting inside your body. “It really helps.” He kissed your forehead, pushing away the strands on your face.

Remus grabbed his chin, connecting their lips. An amused chuckle fell from your lips, watching your boyfriends kissing above you.

“Putting on a show for bunny without me, eh? I’m offended now,” James scoffed, holding a jumper in his hand as he approached you three.

You giggled, making grabby hands to him.“Don’t be Jamie, I’ll kiss you.” you stood on your elbows as James came near you with a wide smile, pulling you into a passionate kiss. Remus and Sirius peeked behind you, Sirius placing small kisses down your neck as Remus did to James’ the same.

You pulled back eventually due to lack of air, a mewl tumbling from your mouth. You looked at James, wanting more. And Sirius’ lips kept pampering your neck with kisses, making your need grow. Remus tweaked your chin. “Not now, bunny. You need to rest.”

“C’mon bun, take this jumper on, you gotta be all warmed up.” James, agreeing with Remus, held the jumper up, ready to pull it down your head.

You pouted, crossing your arms on your chest. “I already have the heating pads and Remmy wrapped me like a burrito. I'm sweating!”

“Don’t be a brat, sweets.” Remus tsked, your brows knitted firmly at the word. “We’re all doing this for you.”

“I know,” you whined, “but it’s too much, I'm getting overwhelmed.”

“But your cramps are worse than last time, bunny. We’re worried.” Sirius’ hands trailed down to your stomach, gently rubbing. You became softer, burying your head into his neck.

“Got a little cold, ‘s why,” you murmured.

Remus brought his hand to your back, sharing a look with the boys as they smiled. “And that’s why we’ll keep you all warmed up, alright?” You nodded, sniffing Sirius’ cologne, finding comfort in his sharp but sweet smell.

“Go on then, before these get cold.” James handed you the hot chocolates as all four of you tried to sit together on Remus’ bed.

“We all won't fit here,” you chuckled as you held your mug firmly, trying to prevent any kind of accident.

Sirius pulled out his wand, enlarging the bed with a spell he uttered quietly.“Better now?”

You were between Remus’ legs, back pressed to his chest as Sirius laid down on your stomach, his weight reducing your pain. James was on Remus’ other side, cuddling him as your hands were interlocked with each other. Peaceful somnolence hovering above your bodies.

Remus grabbed his book from the drawer, kissing your temple. “Want me to read for you?”

“Is this even a question!” Sirius and James exclaimed in sync, lifting their heads to look at Remus with puppy eyes.

“I asked Y/N.” You giggled at your lovers, feeling a lot better than before. As long as they were with you you didn’t need to worry about anything.

𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐬𝐩𝐢𝐝𝐞𝐲 𝐜𝐥𝐮𝐛 andrew!peter x avenger!reader | fluff

summary: imagine being tom!peter’s bestfriend while having a crush on andrew!peter. [witch!reader, fem!reader, mentions of smut (?)]

based off this request and this writing prompt.

This one has all Peters, so for less confusion,

pete - tom!peter.

peter - andrew!peter

ben - tobey!peter (cause its peter benjamin parker)

image

“SLOW DOWN!” you yelled.

“No! It’s day three of Super Spidey Week!” Pete, your bestfriend, shrieked as he started swinging across the town even faster. You clung onto him with fear written over your face.

Super Spidey Week — otherwise known as a weeklong break for the three Peter Parkers — was something they did every three months. They meet up in a particular Earth, and take a much needed break from fighting monsters and instead catch up on each other’s lives. It was exclusive to the three of them.

Well, the three of them and you. Pete never had any fun without you, which was part of the Bestfriend Pact you made in third grade. If he knew the real reason you went along with him, he would freak out.

James was breathing hard. His ears were ringing with the howling of the wind, and his eyes tried to focus on the game.

It was the last quidditch game of the season, and it was not going well. The game was hot for both Gryffindor and Ravenclaw; the latter had come up with a new and brilliant tatic between the chasers and it was making James' life difficult. His hopes on winning the game were getting lower and lower, as the Ravenclaw seeker was significantly better than Gryffindor's. He was growing frustrated.

So far it was tied, 78-78, but it seemed like the blue team was always one step ahead and-

And there it was. Another lost point.

Things started to get slightly violent about 30 minutes ago. James tried his best to keep his game clean, but it was hard when one of the Ravenclaw's players tried to hit him with his broom on the face. Yeah, the little shit was going to die after this.

Screaming was heard from all around the stadium and James was sure he heard McGonagall swear at everything and everyone, but elegantly of course.

He looked around, almost desperately. No, he was not going to loose this, he worked way too hard, and he wouldn't let anyone get in his way-

Except you, maybe. Yeah, you weren't exactly helping.

"You fucking arsehole! Right! You have to go to the right! Don't you fucking know how to read new tatics?!"

"Shut the fuck up, Y/L/N!"

Your relationship with James Potter was, to put it simple, complicated. Which was not simple at all.

Sometimes it seemed like you were about to kill each other, and others it was like you were about to snog on the wall. Usually, it was a strange mix of the two.

The tension was thick, and everyone was just waiting for it to snap.

"Why don't you fucking make me, you wanker?!" you yelled at him in anger.

You were currently leaning against the rail, your hands gripping it tightly, standing up. You were on one of the highest spots of the stadium, surrounded by students of all houses and all ages, right next to Remus. Remus sighed in exasperation in his seat when another screaming match was about to happen. They did this all the time.

When then Madame Hooch started to argue with one of the Gryffindor chasers and the Ravenclaw’s beaters because of another fault, the game stopped momentarily, and James flew to your level with a scowl on his face.

“So what do you think we should do? You really like to argue when you’re not even in the place to do so, don’t you? What the fuck do you think I’m trying to do? Loose?” James seethed.

“Oh, you’re not? Could’ve fooled me,” you huffed.

You were close, faces inches apart. You kept glaring at the other, and for ten solid seconds, neither said anything. The wind was making your hair too messy and tangled up, and your cheeks were flushed. You had your eyebrows furred as you looked at the infuriating boy, and as hard as it was for him to admit it, you looked so beautiful.

Those around you quieted down, Remus even closed his book, as they looked at the two of you. Yells and screams could still be heard all over the place, as the other players were still arguing above you.

You sighed. “They always start with the opposite side of where they ended. Like a braid. The beaters do the absolute contrary to distract you when they throw the bludgers at you. You have to get your team’s shit together, Potter, you can still win this.”

James pressed his hands on his face and then brushed them through his hair. You could tell how stressed he really was. “I’m trying but I just can’t- I’m not sure the seeker can do it, and I don’t know-” his voice cracked. Your eyes softened at the sight.

You grabbed his face with your hands. “James Potter, you are going to fly up there and win this bloody game, got it? We both know you can, so stop doubting yourself, it won’t get you anywhere. Now get your arse back, it’s about to continue,” you fiercely said.

James nodded, his face still cradled in your hands, and gave you an adorable grin. “Ah, what would I do without you and your annoying- and hot- self Y/L/N?”

“Get out of here, you dickhead,” you rolled your eyes, but you couldn't help the smile that made its way towards your lips. James winked and flew away just as the whistle went off again.

You seated back next to Remus, ignoring the eyes on you, and trying to focus on the game. “Will you stop? Sirius might get jealous,” you told him.

“I’m just thinking,” Remus started, “How could you still not be together? I have a bet going on, and I don’t really like to lose to Padfoot.”

You grabbed his book and hit him in the head with it. Remus laughed but you ignored him. You could tell that they were playing better now, more neatly and precisely. They started to block the passes of the blue chasers more frequently and goal more often.

James was yelling around, giving instructions and tips and feedback on the plays and moves, organizing his team. You saw him fly up to the seeker momentarily and tell him something, give him a pat in the back, and he went back almost instantly, ready for the next goal.

10 minutes later, the game was 98 - 106 for Gryffindor, and, for the first time, the seekers quickly moved. It was the first significant appearance of the snitch, and the crowd went crazy. They were almost there- both seekers side to side upwards, hands extended and-

“-AND GRYFFINDOR WINS THE QUIDDITCH HOUSE CUP WITH 256 POINTS!” There it was.

You screamed in delight and jumped off your seat, bringing Remus with you, and hugged him. “We won! They won! He did it, Moony, he did it!” you laughed.

“That they did,” Remus yelled proudly, smiling widely.

“Party in our Common Room! I’m just kidding Minnie- Oh? Actually I am not!” Sirius screamed into the microphone of the commentator, his arms around an euphoric (and sweaty) James.

“Come on, let’s go!” you pulled Remus with you.

.

The common room was wild. People everywhere, food, music, it was quite the party. You were currently waiting with Remus and Peter for the boys to come back, and everyone was very excited to see them.

You were in the middle of laughing at something stupid Peter said when the portrait opened.

You immediately caught his eyes and took him in. His shining glasses, his black hoodie, which was matching his unruly hair. And while the others cheered, you tried to look for him, only to find him already looking at you.

You gave him the biggest smile he had ever seen, and waved excitedly at him.

James shaked his head and tried to make his way towards you. People were trying to talk, hug and congratulate the boy, but his mind was too preoccupied with something else. So, he started to rush in your direction and when you took notice of it, you went towards him as well.

As soon as you were close enough, James opened his arms and you jumped on him, involving your arms around his neck and legs around his waist. You laughed when he started twirling around with you in his arms “I told you! I fucking told you! This victory is basically mine, because without me, you would never- Hmph!”

James interrupted you by placing his lips on yours, and gave you a hard, loving kiss, pulling back when everything fell silent.

Your eyes widened. James fucking Potter just kissed you after all. But you soon got over the shock, and after one final glance at his honey eyes, you grabbed his face for the second time that day and kissed him back.

With all the cheers, the screams, the laughs, and the intoxicating feeling of James, everything blurred around you.

You could feel him smile into the kiss, and you giggled in it while running your hands through his soft locks.

“Thank- kiss- you- kiss- so- kiss- fucking- kiss- much- kiss,” James said between kisses, the euphoric feeling from earlier still running through his body (along with a million butterflies).

You pulled back after a while, remembering that at least two hundred people were looking at you. Your cheeks flushed slightly at the thought but you didn’t really find it in you the energy to care.

“This doesn’t mean I don’t hate you though,” you breathed, eyes closed in a blissful way as James leaned his forehead on yours.

When you opened your eyes, however, he was looking at you happily. “Don’t worry, I hate you too,” James smirked. He then mumbled, “Smartass...”

“Oh, I’m sorry, what was that? ‘without Y/N we wouldn't even have come close to winning?’ What?” you teased him.

“Don’t get all proud of yourself now, it was me who played, after all, you didn’t do anything, besides seating there with Moony-” James pretended to be offended, but the twinkle in his eyes sold him out. He was still holding you, and your arms wrapped around him tightly, not wanting to let go.

“Please, says the one who couldn't figure it out the other team’s play.”

James dramatically gasped. “Says the one who doesn’t even know how to ride a broom!”

“That’s what she said-”

“I know how to ride a broom, alright? What the hell do you even know about it? With the way you were first playing earlier it almost made me plead Hooch to send you back to the first years classes!”

“How fucking dare you-” James pouted and you laughed at his face. He beamed not even two seconds later and kissed you again, swaying the both of you from side to side.

“So this is what we have to endure now?” Remus sighed, wrapping one arm around Sirius' shoulders.

“Oh, I’m going to love this, they’ll never hear the end of this,” Sirius said excitedly. His eyes then widened. “Oh my god, Moons-- Are we like that?” Sirius asked, horrified.

“Yes!” yelled Peter.

And finally, everything was just how it should be.
